Ate here for the first time after passing by many times. Even though there seemed to be a lot of people waiting me & my bf were seated in 15 minutes. The food was good & came out quickly (thank goodness because I was starving!). One thing I did like was that they had a few hot drinks that were inexpensive & you could get free refills on. Service is bad, took 15 minutes to be acknowledged to get a drink, or even meet our server. I've been here about 4 times and the food is always consistently amazing. But the servers just do not have the mental capacity to remember much. They tell you they will be back with a drink, but instead they spend 20 minutes talking to other tables. I was checked on 3 time in the whole 45 minute stay, 1. Order 2. Bring food out 3. Bring us the check. Spent most of the time with no drink. Wish they would hire either better servers, or more. So mothers day kid buy the ham and turkey dinner (4 of them) order to include xtra gravy even if we had to pay. Here is out surprise: no butter, no plastic ware; corn tasted like never cooked ; order nothing like the pic--only the ham looked like advertised; no slices of turkey (ok cant get picture perfect) GOT PIECES OF TURKEY NOT SLICES LOOKED MAYBE LIKE1 TO 1 1/2 SLICES . The worst breakfast I ever had. Ordered a Mini Sample : 1 egg scrambled , 2 bacon strips and a biscuit. And this is what I got: 1 half cooked scrambled egg, hash fries, 3 bacon strips and A Crepe with strawberry. When I asked the waitress she said I did order the crepe, and said I could take home if I wished. she brought a container with a couple of biscuits, but that did not fix the fact that I had a pretty bad breakfast and I m not mentioning my husband's breakfast which was half cooked. Much preferable compared to the breakfast troughs that populate the area. Food was good , waitress very nice but the place needs a good cleaning. Found dust all over, The paneled wall in our booth was splattered with milk and it needed a good vacuum in between the booths and underneath them as well. Normally I'm not so harsh, however when you see one thing that needed cleaning you just can't help checking around. Spoke to a manager who said "Sorry about that" I wasn't looking for an apology I was looking for her to say we will take care of it and the next time you come it will be a lot cleaner. Why can't they admit that someone's drop the ball again I blame management. That seems to be the Way things are these days where no one gets blamed and no one takes responsibility. read more

If i could give less than one star I would. Our service here was absolutely horrendous and after waiting over an hour for our food it was served to us cold! They weren't even that busy so i truly don't understand how this could happen. I asked for a manager but one never came. Par for the course as far as an all day breakfast diner type establishment. They have a lot of pretty good breakfast breads and such to choose from and the menu has a lot of lighter options which is great for those not looking to eat the typical pancake/pork/potato meal. Staff is quick, they get the food right and they keep the place tidy. Not my first choice for breakfast in the area, but I'd choose it over Denny's all day. read more

The food was good, nothing too special. I enjoyed how we were given an assortment of bread that comes with many of the meals. I got banana bread while my girlfriend got biscuits. Usually enjoy dining here but last night was a bit disappointing. Food quality was good but service was somewhat slow. What really bothered me was the amount of food and Debris on the floor that was left from earlier patrons but never cleaned up. They weren't very busy but didn't feel the need to vacuum . You know, it isn't a 'fine & fancy dining establishment', but it is a good restaurant, good food & decent prices.Better than the IHOP and Dennys. Haven't had breakfast, but all the dinner stuff has been fresh and tasty. They have some good 6 buck dinner specials, good for the budget conscious. The banana bread is yummy. Most of the wait staff are really nice and make you feel welcomed, a couple are scatterbrained and not overly friendly. The little black manger, I guess she is, Felicia?? She is just as nice and friendly to the customers. Sometimes you can score the chocolate chip cookies or peanut butter brownies for 50% off....my weakness, I hate you Bob Evans, just for those. You can't put lipstick on a pig. The Fern Park location was recently "remodeled". Front counters were updated, bathrooms perked up, tables switched out. Problem is the same old ratty, tattered carpets remain and the booths really need plumping up. The restaurant floor was not clean when we arrived. We went for dinner at around 6pm. Service was fair to midland. Our server, who was just so-so, forgot to come back to check on us. We would have liked drink refills and more napkins. I overheard her telling another customer that she had been there since 8am. My drink was not as requested. And, I ordered the "smaller" Savor Size and was served a regular portion. When I asked the waitress whether she had given me Savor Size, she said "I didn't hear you ask for it." No apology. My immediate thought was "you are the waitress, if there are options, and you "didn't hear" me ask, you should have asked". On the kids menu, we didn't see an "upcharge" stated on the menu. But were charged for one. If there is an upcharge for an item, I think it should be mentioned. As for the positives, my portion was hearty. Food was well seasoned and hot. Special requests were fine- the ones that the waitress got right, anyway. Overall so-so. read more

First time at Bob Evans. We used to laugh at the name and joke that we were taking each other there for a meal, but we finally decided to give it a go. I've been going to Bob Evans in Melbourne, Fla. about twice a month for two years. I liked their "comfort foods" such as meatloaf, pot pie, etc. I went this evening and was stunned to find they have switched from Coke products to Pepsi. I will not be returning unless they switch back. What a disappointment! There are several restaurants that I either will not go to at all, or only when I eat breakfast, because they have switched to (or always served) pepsi. I only drink soda if I go out to eat, so I will only go where they serve what I like. Perkins is a half mile away, so they will be my choice from now on. read more

This Bob Evans is our go to when we just don't feel like cooking or want to go out for a decent but affordable meal. It was remodeled a couple of years ago and management has kept it clean and comfy. All different types of people go there but the majority are retired folk like us. The menu is heavy on the breakfast meals but there are others to choose from, such as hamburgers, full dinners, etc. The staff is always pleasant and efficient. I am sad to write this review . In the past we've gone many times . Never had any issues . After this visit I'm convinced we won't be back . I took my husband and 2 daughters for dinner . 2/10/2018.... We were seated and was waiting to be greeted by a server that didn't happen . Seemed like forever before finally a waiter named Richard came up and said hi "sorry it took me so long it's been busy " . Looking around it wasn't . I didn't realize he was our waiter at first he past us several times not saying a word ,not even I'll be right with you . Saw him talking to other servers and wiping tables but not coming to us . Husband was starting to get mad I told him have patience . But even after awhile I was saying to my husband what is happening here? So finally when he came I had a bit of an attitude but just didn't show the waiter . We gave our drink order and our dinner orders . He said to us I'll give you free sundaes or pie or cookies if you want I said no thank you we don't eat junk food . He said okay walked away . Again we're waiting and waiting for our drinks we are watching him again talking to other servers even laughing and still no drinks . After a good 10 minutes I said to him across the room can you please get our drinks ? He says oh yeah ....comes back serves us our drinks gives me a straw walks away . My husband and daughters tell me I guess we don't get a straw ? I said are you kidding what is wrong g with this guy . I see him walking around and say to him across the room can you give us 3 more straws ? He says oh yeah I had them and then they got wet let me go get dry ones . After some time the food came . I had pot roast , husband had the slow roasted turkey , one daughter had the salmon and the youngest had grill cheese and tomato soup . He forgot the grill cheese . All the food was cold bland . This waiter kept saying sorry for the service it was annoying that he wasn't trying to do better . Again as we left most the food on the plates and was leaving he was still trying to give us free desserts . We just wanted our ticket so we can leave . Saw the manager and the employees standing around a lot during dinner not asking customers how's the service . It was the worst and I won't go again . read more

The food was ok. My waitress was nice and polite. I had to complain about one waitress yelling through my entire meal. I think her name was TJ. She seemed super sweet to the customers, but the constant barking "Welcome to Bob Evans", ruined my appetite. Even one of her regulars made a comment to her spouse that the waitress' voice could be heard throughout the entire restaurant. It was just way too much. Stop yelling. My first time here and it was the average breakfast/lunch place. We were seated immediately as it was 11:30 on a Tuesday and not very busy. The facility is clean, offers uncrowded seating and the ladies room was reasonably clean. Our server was appropriately friendly, got our orders right and brought our food out in a timely fashion. My eggs were cooked as ordered, the toast was warm and the grits were hot. I ordered sausage patties and was singularly unimpressed as they were fairly flavorless. The coffee was average but the unflavored creamer is not kept on the table. The "creamer" served seemed to be skim milk....maybe. Not rich enough to adequately lighten my one cup of coffee. Went there on Veterans Day for my Veteran meal, and waitress tried to seat us at dirty table. With that being said all the surrounding area was filthy too. Upon speaking with the manager he had an attitude and didn't care. This is a restaurant that has gone downhill in my opinion. I used to frequent their eateries in the Midwest and it was one of my favorite breakfast places, but I have eaten at the Fern Park Bob Evans several times, and although I get plenty to eat, I am usually not satisfied with the quality of their food or their service.
