Well tried the restaurant as it was right by our hotel. There was quite a wait even though there were tables open, but like most places they had hiring signsup and were showing it here. Food was very tasty, took a bit longer than we wanted but was expected. And our server was very friendly and took good care of us. There are alot of options in the area , as far as this style of restaurant but, was a decent choice.

Bob Evans on Brookhill Boulevard in Sarasota is a well managed Bob Evans location that has delicious breakfast food and much more. I really like the location and how convenient it is to get in and out. The staff here is very helpful and willing to make sure that you have everything that you need for a good meal.

Biscuits, there's a few bread options, get the biscuits. They're perfectly fluffy and moist

A great place to go if you're looking for traditional comfort foods at a fair price. The waiter was excellent with solid recommendations. All the food came out hot and on time. Seating area was clean, tidy. I did notice most of our food was under spiced. My theory is that they cater more towards the 55+community. But still, great flavors. I order the chicken soup nearly every time I go, it's amazing. They have real buttermilk biscuits that are surprisingly moist and mouth watering which is better then most that give you dry pieces of cement. You also get a lot of food for the price. Party of two, we got two appetizers, two main dishes, drinks, and two deserts for $36. One star was removed for end of service. The cashier Luzmara barely looked at us, no smile or enthusiasm. We went in at 8:30pm so maybe it was end of shift blues, but still, a simple smile at the end of a meal keeps customers coming back. Also, not really relevant but give waitress Mary a raise. Seriously, I've had her tables a few times and she's elderly but could give most twenty somethings a run for their money.

Both came with a kale and quinoa salad which was refreshing with a hint of heat. A+. Unfortunately the ribeye initially was overdone. My partner ordered medium rare, and although the steak was flavorful, there was no pink in sight and it was slightly tough. After a few minutes, when our server checked in, we let him know, a manager came over soon after, and he said he would have it redone. It took longer than expected, and the other two of us were done eating before it arrived. In fact, I was panicked that the steak would again be overdone as some time had passed, and I said that to the server. But the steak was perfectly done when it arrived. To make up for the lateness, the manager offered us a dessert. We had the key lime and it was amazing. Surprisingly but appreciatively we were comped the steak. They made it right and that is important. Service was good. I did run out of water a few times. My only real complaint there was the server should have asked us to cut into the steak right away. I wish all restaurants did this. This is our second time here. We were here last year and had a great meal then as well. We will be back.

There were at least three hostesses/waiters/tresses greeting us at the door. It's more of an adult environment. Very nice! We ordered an app, the cornbread, their claim to fame. And it certainly was fantastic!!! I had the cowboy salad. It was all chopped up just how I like my salads. Perfect amount of ingredients, they didn't skimp! The only issue, and I could have asked for more, was they should bring a small side of dressing when they bring the salads out. Regardless the salad was yummy! The prices were steep but not any more than you would expect to pay in an upscale restaurant, $23. And, what I appreciated was they DO NOT INCLUDE AN AUTO GRATUITY! YAY!!! Overall the experience was outstanding; environment was beautiful, service was good, food was delicious. We will be back, many times I'm sure!

From our table, I could actually see my chicken sandwich sitting in the service window for quite some time before it was finally brought out. When the food arrived, the sandwich, fries, and cheese were all cold. I politely asked for the meal to be remade and inquired whether it would take another 30 minutes. Our server said they would get it out quickly and explained that they were busy. However, looking around the dining room, there were only a handful of occupied tables and two servers working. Several nearby tables were simply having drinks, so it was difficult to understand the delay. What was most disappointing wasn't even the cold food--it was the lack of acknowledgment. A simple apology or some communication about the delay would have gone a long way toward improving the experience. I understand that servers aren't responsible for cooking the food, but they do pass the service window regularly. If food has been sitting under the heat lamps for several minutes waiting on other items, someone should be checking on it or having it remade before it reaches the customer. We were hoping to add this restaurant to our list of regular dining spots, but based on this visit, it unfortunately didn't make the cut.

A PA person having a cheesesteak in FL). I judge the bread first. Took one bite and my husband said, this bread HAS to be from DE or Philly. Sure enough, the bread dough is flown in from Philly! The meat was plentiful and delicious. If you want a REAL cheesesteak come here!!! We also tried the meatball appetizer. I asked the owner (Anthony) about them because they were just like my friend's Italian mom's meatballs. Tender and obviously not fried. The real kind. The last item we tried was the bolognese. Amazing. Good meat, not cheap junk like so many fake Italian places serve. The gravy has an ever so slight touch of spice to it...(?red pepper flakes, Anthony?) just like NJ Italian. So. Yes, you can get legit Italian food and a really good cheesesteak here! We did not try the pizza, but it looked like good thin crust pizza. Next time. Thank you Anthony for an excellent meal and Claudia for taking care of us. Go Birds!

Wish I could speak about the entire menu but I always get the same thing....beef cheesesteak! The chicken cheesesteak is also excellent in the bites I've stolen. The beef cheesesteak is the best I've had outside of Philadelphia. The bread is from Philly. (Pro tip: if the bread is not from Philly don't bother ordering the Philly cheesesteak). The owner is from Philly & brought his passion for his favorite Philly cheesesteaks that he grew up eating with him to Sarasota. I travel to Sarasota frequently to visit family & always make plans to go here. My family has raved about other dishes but for me the order is simple....beef Philly cheesesteak with "side" Caesar salad (which is large and absolutely fantastic as well). Until the next time....
