Out of all of the Bob Evans, I have visited in my lifetime, this one hands-down, is the BEST!!! From Destiny, our stellar server, which was on her toes and we didn't even have to ask for anything, almost like she was reading our mind. Kudos to their chef which perfectly season everything to perfection,, serving high-quality, large portions.‍ The restaurant was literally spotless and smelled so clean. Went here on an early weekday with my brothers. Despite the time of day they had a few other customers. The tables, floor, and bathrooms were clean so no worries there. We were also seated without delay. The decor was standard Bob Evans. We tried an omelet, protein bowl, and farmers choice meal. Everyone was happy with their food and portion sizes. Be warned that the garden protein bowl is a bit on the spicy side. Be warned that it can be more difficult for a vegan to find options on the menu, will typically require excluding something from the meal listing. Our water was served in cute mason jars to help add to the farm house feel. The waitress was attentive and very friendly as well as chatty. The restaurant isn't far from the exit so it's easy to get to. The price was pretty fair fir the food we received so we didn't have any problem with the cost, cheaper than most fast food places these days. It's nice how they offer a few different sides and breads to pick from all year round with sometimes a seasonal choice. The entrees also have seasonal optiobs too, like the red white and blue theme or fruit that's in season. I even noticed apple cider since we're on the verge of fall. I definitely didn't think too much about the Bob Evans down the street ... BUT... had a gift card from fam so decided to give it a try. I got the avocado veggie protein bowl and my fiancée got the breakfast burger. I'm pretty sure he scarfed that thing down in five second flat. Then proceeded to promptly down the Mac n' cheese side and mashed potato's and gravy. I absolutely lovvvvvvvved the avocado bowl!!! I was VERY surprised at the quality and flavors. Prices are also not bad at all. Portion sizes are also fair. The burger was a good portion for the cost, especcccially considering sides being included. The food is here just fine for the chain it is. Husband ordered a burger and vegetable soup which he said was good. I ordered the seafood platter which was good except for the fried clams which was tough and impossible to chew. The rest of the meal however, was actually pretty good. Wow again. I'm so glad I chose this place the server Tiffany was amazing. She was so convincing and helpful it was awesome. She helped me pick a delicious meal and talked me into buying a big loaf of banana bread that was amazing as well. If u get a chance try out the potato soup cuz I could eat it all day. Very disappointed in the service today. Came in with a larger party, and was told we all had to split, they didn't give us the option, but told us. The host that did this was named Marcy I believe. When there was confusion, we were being ordered around like soldiers. Some of our party came in later, and walked back to sit with us- but got yelled at across the restaurant when they didn't "follow directions"- yet they were just confused. Host was assigning us seats split all around the restaurant. I understand that the world is understaffed at the moment, but we were getting ordered around. Also to add- the entire restaurant was empty. When we asked to get closer to our party we were told no, with a hand signal to go away. Other then that, our server was very nice. The service is the worst out of any restaurant I have been to- it took us 40 minutes to get our food when there were maybe 5 tables in the restaurant and the waitress gave us no time at all and tried to rush us through ordering. I am VERY frustrated with this restaurant. I placed an online order for a pot pie and when my husband arrived at the restaurant they told him that they didn't have pot pies. I was frustrated at this but understood and placed a different order of hot cakes, biscuits, eggs and a side of fruit. They DID NOT give me the biscuits and for the fruit neither my son or I didn't get it as we only had one side of fruit. We also ended up not getting the pecan pie that we ordered. This was just very upsetting because I understand businesses are struggling due to COVID but for me to try to work with you and then leaving out parts of my order is just UNACCEPTABLE. Generally Bob Evans has a great level of customer service and quick turn around for a meal. Today however, absolutely shocking. Over 30 minutes to get a simple soup and 15 minutes for two sodas and a coffee... Not at all impressed... Mentioned to the Assistant Manager that we were 'still' waiting on our meals etc, he delivered them and disappeared... Not to return to check on us etc... The team here are generally pretty good, but one bad experience is all it takes to give the whole Brand a bad name... Been here multiple times, previous visits have been typical Bob Evans affairs. Today, however, was a circus. My dad and I arrived here between 1:30 and 2 in the afternoon on the Saturday before Christmas. Dad went to the bathroom when we got there and I stayed by the hostess stand. Several employees glanced in my direction by didn't approach. A woman with three little kids got in line behind me. Dad came out of the bathroom. Still nothing. Finally the cashier came over to get our name. She then told us we'd have to wait ten minutes, which was fine, but the restaurant wasn't 1/4 full. After ten minutes, we were taken past empty table after empty table and sat way back in the corner where they store the high chairs. Our waitress appeared to be the manager, and was less than attentive, taking about 20 more minutes to come and get our drink order (there was one other table in our section). She brought our drinks and food in a timely fashion. I got the turkey bacon melt, Dad got the broasted chicken and a baked potato. The turkey was skimpy on the sandwich and the baked potato was about the size of a tennis ball, but everything tasted okay. Dad said the chicken was good. Our "server" checked in for drink refills exactly once. At one point, Dad went to wipe his mouth with his napkin and ended up with a stink bug in his mouth that had been rolled up with the silverware, so that kind of ruined both our appetites. The event ended with discovering that the paper towel dispensers were both broken in the women's bathroom. Dad stated the same was the case in the men's. Pros: evidently the broasted chicken was good. Cons: pretty much everything else. 1 Star for the chicken, I guess. read more

The service was so HORRENDOUS, we walked out after waiting half an hour, and watching our waitress and the shift leader walk back and forth reatedly without bringing our salads or our orders. Yikes, they were out of everything my husband ordered and couldn't bother to tel him up front. They waited until he ordered and then said they were out of that. And apparently the cooks were too easily confused by a bread substitution that they couldn't cook the grilled cheese he wanted because they were out of the type of bread it came on and even though they had other bread available. We went yesterday around 4. We had to wait but when we walked to our table, we walked by not even a half full restaurant. The waitress spilled a glass of cold water on me and didn't even say she was sorry. She didn't even change out my wet placemat and menu and didn't even give me napkins to clean myself up. It really was like she didn't care. The food took forever and then she told us to check the sausage first and it was pink so she took it back. My mom got potato soup and there was no liquid in it. So the waitress replaced it. My sister got the Parmesan crusted chicken and it was supposed to be with broccoli and potatoes. The picture looked good on menu, what she received was a bunch of broccoli stems and goo on the chicken. It looked gross so she ended up with chicken and noodle soup which she liked. The waitress never checked on our coffee until after we drank a full cup and our water. They swept the carpet behind us first with a broom, dust went flying, and then with a vacuum, which was loud. Another customer beside us left. This was THE WORST service and food. Don't waste your money. Go somewhere else. Crackle Barrel is down the road. No wonder they are shutting down all over.
