Thank you for taking the time and I apologize for the long post but I felt it was the best way to describe my communication and experience with them, hence my review. Ultimately, they did absolutely nothing about it and continue to. My belongings were moved from your facility to 710 Storage before you moved to your new location in January of 2023. I was physically there at 710 storage with Maria and her crew on January 27, 2023 as they moved all my belongings into the new storage that day. I have since not gone back to the storage until December 17, 2023. I have my identification and documentation for being there that day since my things were transferred there 1/27/2023. I was shocked and disappointed to find my $600 wall fish tank upside down and completely destroyed upon arrival to the storage. It looked like it had previously been dropped. There is no salvaging the fish tank upon inspection that day with my family friend Frank, who was there to help me and witnessed the condition of the fish tank. Extremely disappointing and sad as these type of fishtanks are hard to find as the company no longer manufactures residential fishtanks and has since been working with large Public aquariums like Monterey Bay Aquarium up north. It will take much time for me to completely go through my storage, but so far this is what I have found with one of my belongings that was close to the front of the storage unit. I want to make you aware of my findings and give you an opportunity to communicate with me on what you can do to compensate my loss. However, I beg to differ as Bob Williams Moving Company has everything to do with the move of my belongings that were transferred there from your previous facility to 710 Del Amo Storage January 27, 2023. I was supposed to have pictures for me which you never supplied in regards to this move and how things were situated. By the way, I have also documentation and proof that pictures were never given to me as well on the original move from my home in Pasadena on November 4, 2022. I was told many times by Maria she would be sending these pictures to me but never did and in the very end claimed technical difficulty or computer problems, so there is no proof of how my stuff was even situated over there. I was also verbally told that they would make a path at the 710 Del Amo storage so I could access things easily, which was not the case when I opened up my storage for the first time December 17, 2023. You are also mistaken not to realize that 710 Delamo storage ( I verified with them and spoke with Nikki at the office ) has documentation and camera footage on when I enter and when I leave proving that I was not there since January 27, 2023 and only returned on December 17, 2023. I would assume you would be aware of this working in a legal logistics department. Also, I would have never positioned my own fish tank upside down like that where all the sand would fall out of it. As a professional moving company, I would trust that Bob Williams employees would be trained and know how to stack and situate things due to many factors; Size, weight, settling, etc. I would've never positioned my fish tank like this on my own. I would think that this information would be vital to your company for future training of your employees on how they move and situate things, whether in a home, out of a home or in a storage. You leave me no choice and will proceed to share my story on all forms of reviews, BBB, Yelp, Google, etc. with all the pictures to prove my story ( I also had a witness with me) and how you have responded. I will also include your email response. I experienced absolutely no customer service from you representing your company in regards to your email response. Instead, you come across assuming and thereby accusing the customer/others and not taking the consideration of your own company's accountability regardless of how long ago. Bob Williams moving and storage is a low cost amateur moving company. They do nothing to protect your house when moving your furniture into your new home. They damaged my walls and floors while doing nothing to add protection to prevent the damage from happening. I would not recommend them to anyone planning on moving furniture into a new location. They did tell me I could use a magic eraser to erase the scuff marks. I'm sorry, but that's just not enough. I highly recommend finding a more credible moving company than Bob Williams moving in storage. read more

Used them 3X first two were not excellent but very affordable. All three times most of my stuff got scratched. I did not supervise the move into the storage unit this time, as I was still at the old place tying up loose ends. I had asked them to put the dining room table on it's side against the wall. NOPE! Next day I checked and it was stored on it's legs with hundreds of lbs. stacked on top of it. It was badly scratched, plus legs were weakened from all the weight on top! Very illogical and unprofessional. Ruined $1100 round wood table set. Coffee table, badly scratched; all 4 legs! BADLY! Next issue is I had all my stuff divided into left and right side of living room, left goes to the new place, right goes to storage. They mixed it all up! How? How? I had it divided! All they needed was a rope in the truck dividing it! Storage unit stuff should have all been closest to the door...we were going there first. EASY-PEASY! But, "no!" MIXED-UP! I still look for things 6 weeks later and realize it must be in storage! Many unnecessary trips back and forth and hours spent pulling everything out and digging through the storage unit and putting it all back again! Next MAJOR issue is the first two moves were $95 an hour and they were 6 months apart. The next move 10 months later I did not get a quote (my bad). They had raised their rates 50% in 10 months from $95 to $145 an hour and never mentioned it! Total was over $2000 and I was expecting $1100-$1300. Marie gave me a $500 discount when I told her I didn't have $2000. While that was appreciated, the movers mixed up all my stuff and half of what I needed was in far away. Before I start I have to say this experience really left a nasty taste in my mouth. Keep in mind my gf is pregnant and I have a broken leg. This company's management is absolute trash. The communication we had was nothing less than horrible. This was referred to me by my mom. For some reason they only kept the communication between my mom and management. They showed up to my 1 bed apartment and called my mom?? Btw she had nothing to do with this move and wasn't paying. Just to clarify. It took way longer than I thought. The movers also left without a verbal clarification. They showed up to the new house we were staying at and called my mom???!!! What the actual f#&@!! My mom called me and told me the movers were at the new house. Which we had no idea they left. I looked all over her apartment for them. Another side note* the apartment wasn't even fully moved. After 2 men moved what they could. They left they had another job they had to go to. Due to that factor they were rushing the whole time. So after they moved us we had to go back and move the rest of the the stuff we had which filled a truck and 2 cars. My mom helped. And my pregnant gf and myself with a broken leg. The lady I spoke to was beyond rude. I was extremely disappointed with the price and service we were given. I was expecting to pay 300-500 for a 1 bed apartment. They charged $744. This is the absolute worst group of people to deal with ever. WARNING: Do not use this company! First they showed up, as others have mentioned, smoking and not acting very professional. I was quoted a price and was told that it would only take 1 trip to move my 1 bedroom and 1/2 a 1.5 miles (price ended up being over $800 - I have proof). They did a poor job stacking the truck and then that extended my time and also made them have to do 2 trips. Not to mention one of the movers with no teeth urinated in my front yard and they scratched a lot of my stuff they were supposed to move carefully. After they moved very slowly and tried to get more money out of me I disagreed with them on the price and handed them a check for the amount we agreed upon in the first place. They wouldn't accept the check so I left to clean things up at my old place. They then proceeded to go back into my shed and steal some of my valuable belongings and hold them as ransom for payment. In order to get my things back I had to go to their facility and pick it up. After all of this I was forced to pay over $800 in order to get my stuff back. They were incredibly aggressive, unprofessional, and would not negotiate the price with me at all. For the 5th time in a few years, I have experienced the stress of moving. Each time, from Marie's instant understanding from the first phone call, to her husband running the crew, the move has been seamless. The movers, Lucky, Roy and Danny, are the hardest working, AND the most cheerful people willing to do whatever you ask. This, all under the superb supervision of Vic. with Marie's management and organizational skills, has made each job easy and painless. I normally would never write a review this long but this is a must read doozy! Ten thumbs down! I'm only giving one star because u have to give one in order to write the review. This was the worst experience I have had in my life as a customer anywhere. They arrived late, complaining and smoking. Within 3 minutes of talking to the 1st guy he lit up a cigarette. I lived in a condo complex that was rather large which I explained well in advance yet the complaining began immediately. When I spoke with Marie about being late, complaining and smoking she proceeded to tell me (angrily) that this was not her 1st time dealing with LA traffic and she knows it isn't mine and she has no control over the traffic or the time. Wow ok. Seems like she would know to leave early. We then spent more time while the mover complained about why he could not put my shoe boxes that I had tied together on a dolly and take them to the truck. He could have started to move all the furniture that was ready but complained about shoe boxes instead. Marie then calls my phone from outsidewith a very bad attitude and says that she heard I was complaining and since things got off to a bad start she was going to leave and not do the job. She was mad because I told her that the movers I had before were able to transport the shoeboxes on the dolly and they tied them up as well. She then (at which time she was yelling) asked me why I didn't call the movers i had used before, said she was leaving and hung up in my face. I began to call her back so that the mover who took one of my chairs (which is all that was moved) would bring it back before they abandoned the job. When I called back she gave the phone to one of the guys and told him to "handle it". He explained that he still wanted to do the job and was only trying to save me time and money by not moving the boxes. Now it is an hour after start time. I told him I was not concerned about the time & money I just wanted everything moved. So they come back with a large box, and very easily put my shoe boxes in it and move them to the truck. Not sure why this didn't just happen from the start instead of spending much time debating about not being able to do it. Fast forward to 5 hours later they are finally done packing to move to the location at which time they tell me they only take cash which I was never told when I made the apt. I ordered 2 guys at $80/hr and they show up with 3 that I find out was increased to $110/hr that was never agreed upon. Btw, when they decided they were not going to abandon the job they force me to sign a blank contract (my fault) without cost info in order to stay and continue the move.. I didn't have much choice as my stuff was packed and I had only one day off work. So while I am at the bank getting the "cash only" based on the $80/hr rate, I have my 18yo daughter meet them at my new house where the cable guy was installing cable. While on the way back from the bank I get a text from my daughter that she had to break up a fight between the movers and the cable guy because Marie and one of the guys cursed out the cable guy for having his truck in the drive way and were telling the cable guy "I will f*k you up".. So, they finish the move from my 2bd condo that took a total of 10hrs although Marie comes in my house with a clipboard with a terrible nice nasty attitude demanding payment of $1153 (at the 8th hour) or threatens to stop working. I explained to her that I was about $300 short as I was not expecting to have to pay that much. She and I then got In a big argument about the course of the day and she says she is going to keep the clock running and her movers will stop working until I get the money or she was going to leave with my things. All the while I was just trying to figure out how to get to the ATM but my daughter was scared to stay with them alone at the house after they attacked the cable man. I never intended not to pay but she confronted me as if I wasn't going to pay her. Very belligerent, smoking cigarettes outside my house. She even told me at some point to "shut up" when I said they were unprofessional after attacking my cable guy and everything else. One of the workers forgot the screws to my table at the old house and lied and said he handed them to me. This same guy appeared to have taken a drink of alcohol on his break because he was stumbling and slurring and later the cable guy mentioned to me that he smelled like liquor. He kept saying that he was too old for this kind of work and ready to retire multiple times throughout the day... The other mover was just as old and literally would pick up items while packing and ask, "what the hell is this?" After 10hrs with these people I ended up giving them $1200 and a God Bless you. These movers could not have been more unprofessional or unpleasant. They arrived with the wrong size truck because they hadn't planned properly, and then wanted to move us a day later than agreed. Finally, the foreman told us she would "help us out" and still move us that day. She and one of her two workers then proceeded to complain literally the whole day about the job, while making snide remarks about our belongings. We finally enlisted the help of friends who unpacked their truck for them, or the movers would have been here for even longer. They told us they'd take about six hours for the job. They were done after about ten (and that's with us doing their work for them). I can also attest to what another reviewer said about the movers littering her yard with cigarette butts. (I have no trouble with someone smoking, and could even abide a butt here or there.) More unpleasant than that, though, was spending all day with obnoxious, discourteous employees grumbling about how heavy boxes were, using profanity to complain about having to move large objects, and making snide remarks about how our formerly empty new home was never going to look good again with all of our stuff in it. It was simply incredible. Then at the end of the night, it was evident they actually expected a tip. Unbelievable. I, very unfortunately, had to downsize. I couldn't bring myself to part with everything, including some big, heavy Chinese furniture pieces that would be going into a small 2 bedroom apartment. There were stairs at the new location and a small landing. I thought for certain they were going to tell me "no, it won't fit through the front door" and we'd have to put the pieces in a one-car garage for me to sort out later. (I was moving from a loft where everything is oversized.) They got everything inside on the first try. I had some IKEA pieces that I left items in, thinking that they would shrink wrap and move. Victor explained that the IKEA furniture does not transport well if the drawers were full. The drawers may not open properly after they've been transported. I was happy to unpack them quickly vs. having to replace my work-room furniture. They took the odd pieces (like the ironing board) and paid close attention to the glass tabletops, etc. It was an incredibly long day, but they worked very hard and I am amazed at how much "muscle" they had to move things up the stairs. This is the worst moving experience I have ever had. Marie and Victor were rude. The movers broke the leg off of my desk and didn't say anything. They set it up and I discovered it later. It took them 10.5 hours to drive from San Pedro to Salinas, a 6 hour drive. After the move was over, I got a call from Marie accusing me of writing a bad check. Oddly enough, my check had already cleared my account two days before she called me. She was trying to get me to pay double for a horrible experience. Do not use this company.
