AVOID THIS PLACE AFTER 11pm unless u are willing to wait. And yes, their boba is worth the wait. Not sure If this is a norm but man, the wait is no joke. We arrived around 11pm and there are roughly 6 cars in front of us. By the time we get our drinks, it was 11:45pm. Their boba is super chewy and soft. Taste very fresh and highly recommended!!! Green milk tea - 25% sugar is perfect! However I wish there is more tea flavor. Brown milk tea - 25-50% is perfect! Not too milky and has that black tea flavor. I would recommended this over green milk tea. read more

I needed my Boba fix but all the place around were closed due to COVID-19. Boba Ave Express came thorough for the meet that fix. I was at first in the drive thru but there were 5 cars in front of me so I decided to walk-in since the line inside looked shorter. Menu: The drive thru menu is condensed in order to expedite the wait time. As for walking in to the store, the full menu is available. I ordered the strawberry smoothie with boba. I was delicious. Parking: There is parking in front of and on the side of the Boba Ave Express. read more

If any of your friends tells you this place is good, I would question any further food recommendations they give. 1. Their milk tea has a viscosity almost comparable to Danimals. Why 2. All their drinks (albeit at 100% sweet) will give you diabetes. What ever little flavor is in the drink is muted by the overpowering sweetness. 3. Popcorn chicken has none of the expected Taiwanese spices and is barely seasoned. 4. The entire system is ridiculously inefficient and you will spend a majority of your time just waiting for a chance to order. 5. You have a 50% chance of getting in a car accident when you leave the drive thru as there is no visibility from the long ass line because they take too long. I see no reason to wait here unless you enjoy idling and paying for insulin. read more

Drive through is cool. Brown sugar boba milk tea has no sugar adjustment. It is way too sweet for me. I generally order 50-75% sweetness everywhere else. This milk tea tastes like 150% sweetness...I was unable to take more than a sip. My friend recommends the mango yogurt. read more

Why the mediums don't have lids anymore?

Because we redesign the cup and redesign the cover to make it more fit with each other. This kind of lid is made to open easily just like yogurt lids so you can drink or eat the cheese foam.

Boba Ave Express is one of my favorite tea houses in the arcadia area. Yes, there are many and many and many of boba shops and speciality tea cafes, in fact it's almost endless and around every corner here. However after trying out so many of them, I would still stay that this place is one of the best around! They truly specialize in teas and are masters of making it. The atmosphere of the place is also really old school. It is one of the best around if you want to sit down with your laptop to work or study or smoking. This place truly has any sort of liquid drink for everyone. Even if you don't particularly like tea or boba, they offer a large variety of other drinks like, smoothies, yogurt drinks, juices, and even toast and actual food! There's something for everyone here, and it makes for a great place whether you come by yourself or with friends. WiFi is super fast which is a big bonus! The staffs are always so friendly & so helpful. If your not satisfied with your drink, they'll make the changes for you without any hesitation. The value that this place offers for your money is truly unbeatable! The drive thru was amazing for people like me who just doesnt want to get out of the car. You have to come here and try it out. Not the biggest select of drinks but they narrowed it down to a few good choices. The drink I orders was mediocre but good at best. What really gets to me Is the design of customer flow through the drive through. It's like helping one customer at a time. It doesn't seem like they put much thought of how to design a drive though. On a Friday night you can be waiting in line for over an hour and only 6th in line. Look at how in and out does a drive though. They have an employee outside taking orders and getting people out fast. If the building had one side taking orders and the other side was for picking up orders. That would be better, but it's not in this case. Your litterer waiting for the person in front of you to order and then waiting for them to get their drinks. But it's a really nice atmosphere and nice looking place. I just wish they thought of making it function better. read more

BAE is my favorite place to go to study and hangout. Parking is Super easy to find (there's extra parking behind the building in the back). They have a big variety of food and drinks that are not pricey. We ordered a honey green tea . You can upgrade your drink to a large for small amount of money. The honey green tea wasn't overly sweet and was still really cold even when I ordered it with less ice, which was nice. The pop chicken was also good, it had a amazing flavor and juicey taste. Drive thru is amazing.Came today for the dirty milk tea. what a rainy day today!! I mainly come here when I need to study or for the drive thru.It can get quite busy in the late afternoon to night, so I usually like to come in the morning to early afternoon when it's still quiet to study. Ordered a Hokkaido milk tea tonight with 50% sugar & light ice today as a little dessert after dinner, made sure to have them adjust the sugar level and ice level before I paid because I can't have my drinks too sweet, and wasn't in the mood for anything too cold, yet the drink tasted like liquid diabetes and the ice filled half my cup. Not even trying to purposely give a bad rating but just hoping that this review will spark some changes here! I don't know if the barista didn't calculate the sugar levels right or just doesn't know how to make drinks but in case of unhappy customers in the future, I seriously hope the baristas working in the back take customers orders respectively and responsibly, and learn to do their job right, especially for a simple request of lowering sugar levels and ice levels. read more

Honestly after looking it up on yelp, I did not have high expection for this place. I thought it was the closest to my workplace so I'd just grab a drink and go. I WAS WRONG!! They normally open at 11am but they offered to make me my drink before that so I wouldn't be LATE! The girl was also very nive and sweet too! FYI If you come too early dont expect to get boba CAUSE they make it fresh every morning! I didn't mind that, and thought it was very nice of them to make it fresh(alot of the other places have left over boba from the night before). I got one of the messy milks with lychee jelly, and I LOVED it. I have never written a review before but is glad to do so for this place. Definately recommand this place and will come back for more delicious drinks! The place looks cool too! read more

Waited 30 minutes in the drive thru with around 5 cars ahead of me. Avg 6 minutes per car. Ordered their house milk tea regular sweetness. They say I could try it and if I don't like it, I can bring it back and they'll remake it. Made a mistake and didn't try it at the pick up window. I would have asked for a refund. Didn't drink it til I got home. First of all, the drink itself is too sweet. I'd recommend 50% for those ordering this drink. Second of all, the milk tea tasted powdery?? Weird because they told me they blend their teas rather than shaking. Third, the boba is mushy and grainy. I also found a strand of hair wrapped around it. My daughter was the one that found it while drinking my drink. Don't recommend. Never coming back. read more

This place deserves 0 stars for ruining my car. Came here for dessert after dinner and who knew this trip would cost me a fortune. Ordered a brown sugar milk tea and a Thai tea. They helped to put my drinks in a cup holder which I placed behind my seat in the back of my car. Just got home and noticed that the brown sugar milk tea spilled all over my car floor with the thai tea leaking in the bag. Never had this happen to me at any other boba shops before considering how lids are supposed to be sealed shut. Their cheap foil lids don't even seal properly. This is definitely going to leave a stain. Interior cleaning gonna cost around $100. Who's paying. Their drinks weren't cheap either. Two drinks came out to around $13. read more

I was debating on giving a 3 or 4 for this review. This place is good but is always inconsistent. Some days my drink taste like condensed milk, other days it's perfect. I always order medium spicy fries and sometimes it's super spicy, sometimes it's mild. There's always a line going out into the street so it's for those who are patient and can wait 20 minutes in line. My favorite part about this place is that they have a drive thru. The workers are usually nice. Overall I would recommend this place. I hope they see my review and find a way to make everything more consistent. I never like to complain, especially since they always look busy but it's sucks to spend 5 dollars on boba and it being different every time. read more

First time trying out this Drive Thru Boba and loving it! They truly thought about the wait and placed edgy wall arts and graphics so we may feast our eyes as we wait for our boba and Taiwanese snacks to be ready (July 25th). We came back 3 more times after our first visit and loving their mango yoghurt blended, jasmine tea (no milk) with crystal boba. Their fish balls, sweet potato fries were top notch while their popcorn chicken (non spicy) was nice. *don't be discouraged if you see about 5/6 cars ahead because they really know how to get the orders moving. For snacks that may take longer we were advised to wait in very nearby parking spots and their team members would deliver not long after.. read more

I have a very happy experience here today I always spend time with my friends at boba ave 8090 which located at San Gabriel. This is my first time to try this boba ave Arcadia because they have a drive through!! It is very cool even though today I wait around 5 minuets for my green tea but I think it worths. the handsome Asian boy is very patient I told him I don't want too sweet he made my drink to 50% sweetness and he give me white boba for free he explain for me he feel sorry about my wait time and I really like his smile maybe next time I want him number :) when I got home I almost drink the whole bottle green tea lol!!I will recommend my friends to try this place in the future read more

When I first time come here there were so many good choices to choose. I will helped us out and recommended a few drinks to to us. The Rose Green Milk Tea was one of the first drinks I tries when I first time come here. It was really good and it has a strong flavor to the drink. I have been to many boba shops and tried rose milk tea but I think here is best! You've got to try it! For the other drinks is Hokkaido matcha. The matcha flavored is very good, this is different startbucks matcha, and the matcha mixes really well with the sweetness of the Hokkaido. If you are a fan matcha, I'd say get this drink! I stopped by this drive-through boba shop on Saturday, and I was thoroughly impressed! The service was top-notch - friendly, efficient, and attentive. But the real star of the show was the drink itself. I ordered the strawberry yogurt smoothie with crystal boba, and it was absolutely divine! Came here to try the drive thru and was totally disappointed. The workers are extremely rude when I was asking about the types of drinks they had.. and even gave attitude. I'm pretty sure all their 5 star reviews are fake.. if you actually look at all their profiles and read their reviews you can see that they all comment about the great service which they do not have. The drinks are super watery and they give way too much ice even when you ask for less.. theres no tea flavor and the boba is rock solid hard. How can you mess up on boba? Can't believe I paid $6 or a watered down drink with tons of ice and hard boba.. waste of money. Do not come here. 0 STARS read more
