Never been here before and enjoyed the ambience. The boba was fresh and I liked that there were sweetness and ice options. Interesting flavors and drinks. The server was also patient while I made my selection. My only pet peeve is that I wish the front door would automatically shut when people open it. It was super cold tonight, so a lot of times when people would enter or leave the shop, they'd leave the door wide open, where we got up multiple times to close it. We were dining in, at a nearby restaurant then we decided to look for refreshing drinks. It was kind of late but it was Saturday night, so there was some hope. When we checked Yelp, We found Boba Box and it was just across the street from the restaurant. The place is spacious. They have multiple indoor seating. It has this  relaxing vibe which is suitable for people to finish their work or for  young people to hangout or to study there. We placed our order on a tablet. They called us, once the orders was ready. The service was very fast. The young men were very nice and friendly. We got ; Strawberry Matcha 50 % sweetnes and Strawberry Milk Tea 50% sweetnes too. The Strawberry Matcha was silky, rich with perfect sweetness for me. There was a  well balanced taste  between the Strawberry and matcha. I enjoyed both of them in every sip. I am glad we stopped by. Overall I give it a 3.5/5. You can order at the kiosk or at the counter although on the kiosk you have all the customization options. I got the Brown Sugar milk tea. I liked the flavor and the boba was really good. Great texture and you could taste the brown sugar in it. 5/5 I also got the bubble waffles and paid extra for ice cream and chocolate syrup on top. The waffle was lacking sugar/flavor and the chocolate drizzle was heavily concentrated in the middle so it was too sweet to eat the bottom half of it. The ice cream was just a basic vanilla flavor. 2.5/5 My friends got different drinks and they did not finish even half of theirs. They all agreed my brown sugar milk tea was the best in flavor. One friend got the tiger box and it just tasted like milk with a tiny amount of sugar(a small amount of sugar was drizzled around the cup). No flavor whatsoever, just mostly tasted like milk. 1/5 Another friend got the citrus sunset. I did not get to taste it so I cannot say how it tasted but he only took one sip. I enjoyed the the different look of these boba cups. For some reason, drinking out of a squarish container made the drinking experience more fun. My husband and I ordered the Passionfruit Green Tea with boba and lychee jelly & Strawberry Matcha Latte with boba and lychee jelly drinks. There is only one size available but we both customized our sweetness level to 50%. My Passionfruit GT was pretty sweet still and I probably could have opted for 25%. They weren't that busy but we got our drinks within 5 minutes of ordering so they were very quick. The shop's space is surprisingly very spacious for just a boba drink place. Met up for a quick boba date with a fellow elite - haven't been in quite some time so was due for a return visit...we both tried variations of their strawberry milk teas - absolutely fantastic!! I had their regular strawberry milk tea and my friend had the strawberry milk tea with matcha. I had boba in mine and it was really good. Their milk teas are smooth and creamy and full of flavor! A lot creamier than others along Myrtle imo - and all the better for it too. I got mine at 50% sugar and it was still plenty sweet enough. Next time I'll drop it down even more. Their boba has a great texture - but is just a tad bland. I'm not sure if it was the boba or maybe the tea had such a strong strawberry flavor that it overpowered the boba. Either way I still loved it and will definitely get it again. They have the cutest living plant wall - great for the gram pics if that's your thing lol. Lots of tables and even games to play. Great views of the hustle and bustle of Foothill and Old Town Monrovia from all their giant windows. You do get the yuzu bits that adds texture even if you don't add toppings like boba. + Oreo matcha latte: definitely a nice dessert drink. The oreo is fairly crushed at the bottom, so make sure to stir well before drinking. The spot doesn't seem to get overly busy, so could be a nice spot to work or even play card games. I had been wanting to try this boba place for a while, but I would always go to my usual spots. Then, one day, my boyfriend and I were trying to find a place to work/do homework, but we didn't want to go to Starbucks. So we decided to stop by Boba Box and check it out. There's plenty of street parking. As soon as you walk in, there are two kiosks/tablets on the right side, where you can place your order. You can customize your drink however you want it. They do charge $0.50 if you order your drink with no ice. I found that to be a little odd. But okay, maybe because they have to fill it up more, idk. They're pretty quick with the orders. They have 5 tables and outlets so it's good for working or doing homework. They also have this cute little area in the back where you can take pictures. There's a few games you can choose from if you're just haging out. They do sell Shin noodles and Lay's (can't remember what else) for $4.00. I think that's a little too much for a bag of Lay's....lol. I have tried their Tiger Box and Brown Sugar Milk Tea (it needed a little more flavor). I do order my drinks with regular sugar, so I just think it needs a little more brown sugar taste. My boyfriend has had Strawberry Matcha Latte and Matcha Latte with Lychee (I think). He said they were good, I didn't try them. We have been here twice. The first time, it was on a Sunday afternoon, and it was a little busy. Phenomenal service very cute addition from the last time. My ex husband loved the Boba Box. Cute esthetic decorum was very cute would definitely recommend. Decent price a variety or options. And they had decaffeinated options for the people with heart issues son that a plus. No need for a hospital visit with conflicting heart issues like my friend Trisha T. And obviously the neon signage for a cute instagram picture for the good olde content. Kid friendly as well coloring books and games. So glad that I found this boba spot! It is a bit out of the way for me, but I'm willing to drive here every once in a while because that's how good their drinks are. Their menu has a nice variety, including milk teas, fruit teas, smoothies, coffee, lemonade, and many toppings. I tried the rose milk tea with boba, citrus sunset with lychee jelly, and lychee green tea with lychee jelly. For the rose milk tea, you can choose between a green tea or black tea base. I tried it with black tea and it was delicious. The flavor of the rose was light, which is just the way I like it. With the citrus sunset, I could taste both the grapefruit and the orange flavors. It had a good balance and I love that it comes with fruit slices. When I first visited, I was surprised at how big the store is. There are plenty of tables and chairs. There is also free wifi. The employee was friendly and brought my drinks out quickly. The cups that they use are nice and sturdy. It seems like a great place to hang out at. I've tried a few different drinks so far and the quality has been pretty good overall - not the best milk teas I've had but consistently good nevertheless. We used Boba Box to cater our 8th grade graduation party for. Special treat for the graduates. They were very responsive leading up to the party and quickly answered my questions and provided a quote for different levels of service. When they arrived, they set everything up and the space looked very professional (I'm sorry I didn't get any pics of the set up). The self-serve station was easy for the kids to create their own drinks and we had some left over that they filled extra cups with and sent home with us. The only redeeming factor for this drink was the oreo. I barely tasted the matcha. It mainly tasted like oreo and milk. This used to be my favorite place for boba, so I decided to stop by after a long hiatus. The drink I got was one of their seasonal drinks, the phoenix oolong milk tea with lychee jelly 50% sugar. Maybe because we chose to get 50% sugar instead of regular sugar that the drink didn't taste like much. Even so, I couldn't taste any oolong, not even a hint. It tasted VERY diluted and gave my sister diarrhea right after... The drink was also very expensive for what it is, a hefty ~$7.50 for the drink. Note that there is only one size, so it was a medium sized cup at best. In comparison to local boba competitors, it is very underwhelming and I would recommend stopping elsewhere to quench your boba craving. read more

Tried to go here last December, but they were closed temporarily, bummer! Glad I got the chance to go again. LOVE the fact that they are open late, much different from the other boba places in the area. Very bright, well lit cafe with lots of seating and a nice photo op wall. Staff was very friendly and helpful with our order. I got the: Guava Green tea with Mango Star Jellies at 75% sweetness. -Even at this level of sweetness, the star jellies compensated and made the drink sweet, BUT yummy and refreshing at the same time. -Drink wasn't too tart either and the jellies had the perfect consistency. Very cute as well. I LOVE the container that the drinks come in and I'm glad they don't charge an arm and a leg to make up for the cost. PRO-TIP keep the little insert that comes on the inside of the lid. I accidentally just tore through it, but staff was nice enough to give me another. Boba Box is located in old town Monrovia, on the corner across from Yogurtland and across the street from the Von's shopping plaza. Street parking (free) is the only parking available. I decided to check out this tea house two Sundays ago. I ordered online, figured it would just be easier than to order in person and wait (same price as ordering person and no additional fee to order online). I ended up ordering: Black Milk Tea, $5- I ordered this drink for myself to be made with no ice and 50% sweetener. This drink came in a plastic reusable rectangular bottle which holds about 26 oz (I measured it). I thought it was funny that the straws they give you are barely peaking out from the lid and wished they had taller straws. Anyways, I was rather disappointed with this drink because it tasted as if the black tea used was over steeped, which resulted in a strong bitter taste. Rose Milk Tea, $5.50- I ordered this drink for my husband to also be made with no ice and 50% sweetener. Just like my drink, this drink was also bitter tasting, most likely due to being over steeped. ------------------- (Total= $10.50, tax included) When I came in to pick up my order, a friendly employee greeted me. He gave me my straws and placed my drinks in a plastic bag (he had asked if I wanted a bag). What a hidden gem I found! I had no idea that this boba place would be THAT good. This has easily become one of my top 5 favorite boba shops. I wasn't sure if this place would be busy at 9 pm... so ordered online for pick up, which was very quick and easy. It was ready for pick up in 15 minutes. The staff was really friendly and let me know that they were actually out of oolong for the night! They luckily had other teas for my order. I ended up with the Uji Matcha Milk Tea and Rose Green Milk Tea. The Uji Matcha Milk Tea was a bit more expensive, but pretty good! It wasn't chalky and had a great milky matcha flavor. The Rose Green Milk Tea was what really had me hooked! The drink has rose petals and a strong green milk tea flavor. The balance between tea, rose flavor, and milk was perfect! It was so addicting.
