The best part is there are so many great flavors to choose from. My favorite has to be the Green Apple Slush on a summer's night, so refreshing! So I walked into Boba Loca, expecting everything that I read from previous reviews. And that is exactly what I got. I ordered a taro milk tea with boba, and my sister a strawberry banana smoothie with boba. The service was fairly quick, and the place wasn't very crowded. My first time trying boba, I didn't know what to expect... What I discovered is that boba is something you either like or you don't, so I would recommend if you are buying more than one drink, buy one without the boba. My taro milk was coconuty, and sweet. It would have been better blended. And my first sip was filled with boba balls, quite slimy and gelatinous it was not a very attractive texture to me. Tasteless, with a tea that didnt do enough justice to make up the difference, I was not a fan. The strawberry banana was much better. I recommend if you have never tried boba, ask them to 'go easy" on it in the drink. Also, get a drink you know you will like, even without the boba balls. Overall, good service/atmosphere paired with a very interesting product with an acquired taste. read more

I always get their Fraps or Slushie Coolers (Mango, my fave!). I much much prefer their Burbank location than their NoHo one (even though the NoHo one is closer to where I live) it's very small; they're enviroment is much more social and I love that, it tends to get a little overcrowded on weekends; other than that I lovee the things they offer. I've been coming to boba loca since junior year of high school. I love this place!!! They accept art from people and have them posted on the bulletin board which is cool. Hubby and I always get the large watermelon slush with extra boba..its soooooo good. Also, the manager is a very nice guy with good customer service skills. I used to have a frequent visitor card but I don't think they offer those anymore. They have lots of different flavors and varieties..smoothies, slush, juice, etc. It's close to the movies and the mall and there's always parking..also, theyre open pretty late which is awesome. read more

Best boba in the area. A cool place to hang out with a pleasant staff. A warm, inviting environment, the lighting's good for reading, plenty of outlets to plug into for laptops etc and, when there is music, it's not too loud to prohibit thinking or conversation. What makes this place great is the customer service given by the main man Miguel! whatever this guy is getting paid, it's not enough because he works like a champ all day every day. This place is nice because it's a boba place in Burbank. I have beeb trying to find a good boba place in the area. Unfortunately, this is not it. The boba here is okay. The regular Tapioca Milk Tea is fine, but there is something off about the almond tea. I usually get regular boba and this time I got the lychee popping boba (picture attached) which was not wise. I just don't like but that's not something I hold against this location. I just think the boba is very mediocre and topped with the fact that there is no air conditioning, and they do not take card for under $10 makes this location not ideal. I think I prefer the boba at Exotic Thai, also on San Fernando. Although the boba at both locations is pricey. The large here it $4.75 + tax, whereas at Exotic Thai, it is about $5 + tax. read more

My best friend and I decided to get some boba tea, so our first thought was to go to Boba Loca. Now, I am lactose intolerant, so I asked the person who was taking our orders if they had any diary free options. They told me that all the slush drinks on the menu do not consist any diary, so I order off the slush menu and received my "dairy free" drink. After a couple of sips, I automatically tasted the diary product. So my first reaction was to stop drinking and after an hour I started dealing with serve side effects. And I still am at the moment. Boba Loca's employees are very unprofessional and clearly uneducated about people who are lactose intolerant or even vegan. So, If you are lactose intolerant or vegan, then I highly recommend not to go to Boba Loca because they false advertise their products. read more

It's in a great location, right in the middle of San Fernando street in Burbank, ca. The place is clean and the employees are friendly. I go here because it's the only one in the area, but it's not that great. However, it gives me my boba fix when I crave it. The prices are decent. The drinks are somewhat flavorful, could be more flavor. The place itself could use some redecorating and the store hours should be clearer. Just moved to Burbank from Pasadena and was craving boba - this didn't fulfill my craving at all. At 3.75 for regular size, it's expensive. The lavender boba milk tea I got was weirdly frothy and the boba tasted like tap water. It was lukewarm too. Maybe people like it frothy, but as a 626 boba regular I found it unpleasant. The ambiance is kind of dingy with old furniture and it's definitely not air conditioned. My rec is to save your craving for a longer drive to real boba. read more

I have been a big fan of Boba and Boba Loca soothes my cravings whenever I need it. When it first opened, the place was very neat, clean and service was amazing! The boba drinks never failed and everything was fresh. Nowadays, however, customer service had gone down. The younger staff doesn't seem to care so much and are always seem to be messing around. I like it when the older Korean lady and Miguel are there because our drinks are always right and you are taken care of right away. The younger staff (especially when Miguel or the Koren Lady are NOT there) usually have friends over and having various converstations across the room while making drinks. Yes, I know, the place is supposed to be laid back but half the time my drinks are done wrong or they're not listening...all in all boba drinks are good, service so-so, surroundings - getting a little bit cluttery. read more
