I got a honey slush and it was bland and the boba was too soft. Not the best boba place I've been to.

The place looked decent on the inside but the product sucked. I ordered my drink (tapioca milk tea) and as soon as I paid the girl handed me the drink. I was surprised because the people in front of me hadn't gotten theirs yet. None the less, I drank it. Once I tasted it I automatically knew this had been sitting on the counter pre made. The boba balls were an odd texture as if they had been sitting in the drink for awhile and the ice had obviously melted down and watered the down the drink. I know that because my drink was actually kind of warm. I ordered a churro as well and waited at least 15 mins for it. Definitely not coming back. read more

NOT very good boba. This place is small, unkept and dirty I got uncomfortable just walking in there. I should have walked out but, I was craving boba so what the hell. If you have been drinking from different boba places , you will notice the differences right away. Their boba tea, smoothies, juices, and coffees are just ok, nothing special. Their price are not cheap either. They take both credit cards and cash. It is located in downtown Burbank. Street parking and public parking structure if you are lucky. read more

I'm an artist and am very proud of this place! You don't find small shops like this with so much personality anymore. There are cool sketches all over! It makes me so happy. Also, their boba is one of the best I've ever had. I've tried many flavors but my favorite is honeydew slush! It just tastes so yummy. Two words...MANGO SMOOTHIE! My oldest son took me to Boba Loca and it was the first time in a very long time that I had a really decent boba drink. Pretty good boba place. I like to pop in here sometimes after visiting the Burbank Town Center since it's close to my bus stop. They have a really huge selection, especially compared to the North Hollywood location, but in my opinion, even tiny mom-and-pop type donut shops tend to have better boba. read more

This place is synonymous with my childhood memories. Ever since I can remember, they have been around. Great drinks, cool snacks, unique place. Two stars off for cleanliness and a small space, but other then that it's a cool spot to grab Boba. Nice place to hang out with friends. I'm not a big fan of their drinks but I kind of like the pineapple smoothie. The armchairs are very comfy and most importantly, there's free wifi! So I ordered two Thai teas tonight and noticed it was very foamy at the top. Never in my life have I seen that with Thai teas. I was very disappointed and I wanted to come back and get my money, but I had already started drinking it and I was very limited on time with my break from work. Ok, first lemme say this. This is a very old review but I just discovered yelp and I think this needs to be said about this place. Whoever the jerk that was working there when the group of us went KICKED US OUT an hour before they closed because they wanted to go home early. We all bought boba teas and we weren't being loud or anything...I guess the jerk just wanted to close early but we were paying customers and couldn't find anywhere else to sit and enjoy our beverages. I went here a few times and got pretty lame service by THE SAME GUY who I guess works there a lot. We would either be talking to another customer while serving me or make me feel really uncomfortable. The boba tea was alright, but it would be MUCH BETTER with quality service and a nice chill atmosphere that doesn't creep me out. I do love the wall of art...I think that's cool....but geeze, care about your customers a little!!! read more

The best !!! They have so many different combinations of drinks to choose from. Their boba coffee is the best and Miguel makes the best drinks! The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is because of Ms. Kim, the actual owner who has no customer service skills. The boba here is the worst I've ever had. It's undercooked and service sucks. The variety is limited and nothing taste true to it's title. Boba Loca as a brand is ok. Their boba would taste better if it was honey boba, but it's soft and pleasant otherwise. Drink options are pretty wide (but they don't have grass jelly and more traditional teahouse options). My biggest issue is how cluttered their space is. I want to take all of the paper and posters off the walls, toss the cheap IKEA furniture, and put up new signage for their menu. Also, the cookie and pretzel stuff doesn't feel appropriate for an Asian teahouse. If they served popcorn chicken and potstickers here I would come far more often. The owner is nice and friendly, and the staff is well trained and nice. read more

Sorry but you lost my business and recommendation. I was very disappointed in my shake today. I ordered mocha and it tasted like blended chocolate milk with A LOT of chocolate syrup. If you are going to charge the same amount as Starbucks then please make the drinks better. I didn't taste mocha. Especially if you guys charge extra when people use credit card.... i paid cash and she didn't even ring me up. I have to say the drawings on the wall and the "cuteness" of the place do not match the customer service. Their POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE is obvious and just takes away from a good boba experience. There are too many rules/restrictions posted on the wall, everything has an extra cost and the cashier hardly makes eye contact or even smile. A good customer service and experience should be the reason for the hiked prices compared to other Boba Locas. It's a sad place with sad workers. read more
