yummy food and drinks and they're open late! food truck in rowland heights with a few seats/tables outside. workers were very friendly and it only took about 10 minutes to get my order! popcorn chicken combo b (5/5) - got half popcorn chicken mild and half sweet potato fries with wintermelon tea as the drink. everything came out hot and crispy and it's super good amount for the price! lychee green tea (4/5) - very good, especially for $5! their drinks do run very sweet though mango green tea w lychee jelly (4/5) - same as the lychee, very good but on the sweeter side i'd definitely come back if i'm in the area to grab a drink and a snack!

We actually went to this food truck in hopes of finding some authentic Taiwanese shaved ice. Unfortunately because they moved their store front to a food truck they can no longer serve. However, we did not want to just leave empty handed and heard that the popcorn chicken was very good. My family and I were not disappointed at all. The popcorn chicken and sweet potato fry combo was cooked to perfection. Super crispy on the outside and soft/juicy on the inside. The seasoning was perfect as well! The combo was $14 and came with popcorn chicken, sweet potato fries, and a drink. Which I think is pretty reasonable for the portion size. The food truck is located by TS emporium side street on Nogales and Daisetta Street. Upon arriving the fragrance and ambiance really feel like Taiwan. Overall 10/10 would definitely come again. ^--^ I think they open until midnight everyday and I will definitely be returning!

My all time favorites place to get Taiwanese Food! Especially for the 3 flavors chicken bento! It's better than every way you can find at SoCal! And really authentic! The popcorn chicken is really amazing, You guys should have to try it! No.1 Pick Teppanyaki Noodle Killed it! Pork Blood Cake, outside crispy inside super soft! No one can beat it

Amazing! What went well? Well I guess everything we ordered went well! I was a little skeptical at first but decided to give it a try. I ordered the stinky tofu, OMG, it blew me away! No way it tasted better than most actual Taiwan night markets half way around the world! The crispy texture and the smell hit the spot! Paired with kimchi and the chili sauce you are in stinky heaven! I think the smell could be "more stinky" but I'm guessing this is better suited for the masses. We ordered the Cajun Corn, it tasted similar to most Cajun dishes with a little bit of character. Could be a hit or miss with some. I liked it. My main entree was pork ribs rice, solid 5/5 stars the meat was tender with flavor! My wife had the tofu rice, the tofu came out just a tiny bit salty, but was acceptable as the flavor was spot on! The only drawback back from eating food truck is that there's not much service (hence no tips) and you are eating right on the curb using their pop out tables and chairs. If you love Taiwan dishes, you better go try.

It has been a while since l got anything from a food truck. This was a deal for $5. It certainly came in handy after having dinner next door. Friendly staff !

Bobamia is now a food truck business! That's right! You heard me correctly! Bobamia is now situated on the corner of Amar & Echelon close to where its former restaurant location was. The food truck itself is brand new and cutely designed, displaying all of the food and beverage options on the side. The food is still delicious as always with great portions for the price you pay. Grace still runs the business and is still friendly as ever. I got the Basil Chicken Tofu rice combo that came with a milk tea and it is still one of my favorite food offerings. Please come and check out this food truck!

Fresh taro slush with egg pudding ... large size

Passed by this place whenever I go to my friend's place but never got to try it. Today my friend and I decided to stop by on the way home after pickle ball. I ordered a fresh taro slush large size with pudding as the topping. The small slush was $3.50 and the large was $4.00. Since it was only $0.50 difference I decided to get the large. This place doesn't have dine in so you have to place your order at a pick up window. The drinks all seem like a good deal compared to other boba places. The minimum spend to use credit card is $10. After placing the order for 2 drinks, we waited about 5 -10 mins for the drinks to get prepared. To my surprise, the fresh taro slush was pretty good. I didn't adjust the sugar level (although not sure if you can), but might be too sweet for some people. The pudding had strong flavor and later would overpower the taro flavor. The slush overall was good flavor though. There is also crystal boba as a topping option even though it's not listed on the menu. I would definitely want to come back next time and try the popcorn chicken and their other drinks! I'm not able to upload pictures for this restaurant at this moment.. not sure why.

I discovered this food truck while searching on Yelp after moving to the area and not having a refrigerator to store and cook homemade food. With limited dining options nearby, I was initially skeptical about whether it would be open due to the lack of reviews. I debated if it was worth the drive, but I'm so glad I decided to go. I tried the Pork Belly Rice with Popcorn Chicken and Big Shrimp Wontons with Noodles. The Pork Belly Rice and Popcorn Chicken were fantastic, especially with the marinated egg. The Shrimp Wontons with Noodles were also impressive--the wontons were full of flavor, and the noodles itself were surprisingly tasty despite their small portion. I would definitely return for a late-night dinner. Highly recommended! Thank you again for the good eats (:

Been here a few times, so good! They have good chicken popcorn and their portion is pretty big too. I can never finish my food alone when I'm here. Service is also really good, they're always so kind

    Ada Z.

We ordered a pork belly rice with a side of popcorn chicken. The shop is tiny, so you wait outside for orders after placing it, and they call your numbers physically, so be sure you're listening for it. I loved that it came with a marinated egg and bean curd. The meat and rice were well flavored, and the popcorn chicken was crispy too. The price was good, and the box felt heavy! We'll definitely be back again!

It offers a generous portion of tender, juicy meat and springy, fresh noodles. "DELICIOUS!!" I arrived at No. 1 Noodle House (Rowland Heights) on Sunday (around 11AM). Parking is easy. The lot is big with many spots. Staff is very friendly and welcoming, but Staff spoke limited English. Fortunately, pointing at the menu was clear enough. The food took eight minutes and nine seconds. Fast time! As mentioned, the Beef Rib Noodle Soup ($16.50 - Mild) is wonderful! It arrived picturesque and delicious!! However, despite ordering "mild," the food has a very strong heat; I sweat nonstop as I ate. The broth is rich, savory, and spicy. The meat is tender, flavorful, and falls off the bone. And the noodles are hefty, soft, and springy. It's a wonderful, euphoric combination of flavors and textures. Concerning ambiance, No. 1 Noodle House (Rowland Heights) is surprisingly spacious with its tall ceiling and relatively clean surroundings. However, its walls and furniture look worn down with time. Some seats even had torn holes. Unfortunately, the music uses radio with constant commercials playing in the background. Fortunately, there's a gender neutral restroom in the back. Overall, I found culinary magic at No. 1 Noodle House (Rowland Heights). The food is fresh, generously portioned, and well-prepared. I left full with a bright smile. What in Buddha's name have I stumbled into?!…read more This place is a fantastic hole-in-the-wall! I actually passed it once, even though there were chairs and tables right outside because I couldn't see the name of the place! Anyway, I came here with my girlfriend around 11:30-ish on Saturday. It was somewhat full with one last table that we took. We ordered: - Beef wrapped green onion pancake roll - steamed fish and leek dumplings - panfriend lamb and cabbage dumplings - Beef noodle soup with hand-cut noodles. The steamed fish dumplings came out first and it was so good, we almost finished it all before reminding ourselves that we need to save stomach space for the other stuff! I dipped it into a small mixture of their black vinegar, soy sauce, and chili oil, but you could simply eat these without the sauce! The beef rolls were also good. Personally, I think I'd like the pancake wrap part cooked just a little bit more to make it flaky. It was softer and slightly stretchy, like how warmed tortillas are, but overall it was well-balanced with the amount of meat, cilantro/onions, and the sauce (which I assume is basically hoisin sauce). The beef noodle soup! Okay look: if you're into Taiwanese beef noodle soup like over at Rock Star Noodle or Taipei OG... Or some of you may remember Bull Demon King Cafe in Diamond Bar (this is to give some reference), this is by far the cleanest broth I've tasted. No, not literally clean. Just that it's not fatty, doesn't leave you feeling like you're going to go into food coma, and the flavor is not overpowering that it leaves a lingering after-taste you try to wash off later. This broth is GOOD. The hand-cut style noodles are nice, big, and chewy! In a good way! The beef though... They remind me of sliced brisket, and I personally prefer tendon and beef chunks but these do fine. And of course, there's bok choy - a decent amount too for some good tasty fiber. In all honestly, I want to go back and order more of this right now! And finally came the lamb and caggabe pan-fried dumplings. Lightning zaps and pizazz! This one was interesting. There's a bit of gaminess (just a hint) that reminds you how many skewer places try to drown it out with spices. I don't know if these are frozen or homemade (could be both) but they come out nicely tasty. There's just a hint of gaminess to remind you the meat ain't commercial beef/pork/chicken, but it's not overpowering that it tastes disgusting at all. I would say though that pan-frying helps with the flavor. It's interesting because my first few pieces had me second-guessing myself... until I realized I was reaching for the 4th piece, followed by a 5th... Followed by my 8th piece. My girlfriend was full and I ended up finishing all but 2 to take home and let family members try... Yeah, we had planned to take some back for our family but ended up eating almost everything... For a 2025 Michelin recognized, B-rated hole-in-the-wall, this is the place to go for true foodies. None of that over-hyped, over-priced IG stuff with superficial pretty looks but lackluster cooks. Here, it's straight up real food, nice and simple at cheap prices. Where can you find very good beef noodle soup in the San Gabriel Valley/Rowland Heights area for $10 without needing any add-ons? Tell me where, I'll be there! But Luyu Dumpling has definitely jumped into our top 3 spots for high-quality taste at cheap prices in this category.

Szechwan DanDan Dry Noodles w/ Peanuts: Excellent. It was a bowl of dry noodles topped with green onions, crushed peanuts, and sesame sauce. It tasted like an upgraded version of sesame noodles with a better texture. Ding's Special Cold Plate: Excellent. This signature appetizer platter was one of the restaurant's best. It included five items: dried tofu, seaweed, pig ear, beef tripe, and spicy beef shank. Fried Pork Chop + Green Mustard Fried Rice + Spiced Eggs: A must-order. The fried rice had great "wok hei" (breath of the wok). The fried pork chop, which had a bit of fat, was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The juiciness and the texture of the melted fat were perfectly handled without being greasy. Shanghai Sesame Fermented Rice Dumpling Soup: A must-order. The portion was huge and enough for four people. It used mini tangyuan (rice balls) with sesame filling, and the combination of osmanthus powder, fermented rice, and egg drop was excellent. Also, it wasn't overly thickened with starch like at other restaurants. Soybean with Bean Curd Leaves: Very good. The moisture was reduced to just the right level, and the flavor was as satisfying as a meat dish. In addition, unlike the cold appetizers served elsewhere, this one was served hot. Braised Pork Belly: Good. It came with two translucent-looking spiced eggs and four pieces of pork belly. The sweet sauce was well-absorbed, and the meat was stewed until it was quite tender with almost no "porky" smell. Overall, it was a good dish, but the version at Blue Magpie in Arcadia is even better. The following dishes were good but not must-tries: Pan-Fried Dumplings, Steamed Dumplings, Stir-fried Rice Cakes, Braised Beef Noodle Soup, Shrimp & Pork Wonton Soup, Fish Fillets in Rice Wine Sauce, and Stir-fried Spinach with Garlic. Steamed Stinky Tofu: Highly not recommended! Is this even Jiangzhe cuisine? It tasted more like Sichuan-style poached stinky tofu. It was way too salty, so much so that I stopped eating after about 60% and didn't even have the desire to take the leftovers home. Shanghai Style Salted Chicken: Highly not recommended! The chicken texture was quite dry, and the worst part was the abundance of small bone fragments. I was afraid to chew too hard for fear of damaging my teeth.
