Today around 11 am, I stopped by. Ordered Banh Mi dac biet for to go, then went in for a bowl of Pho ga(chicken noodle soup) and 1 glass of rau ma'. In the bag banh mi to go had no napkins, banh mi is ok if you enjoy right away, after 1 hour, the break is old and the whole sandwich had no taste, they didn't use soy sauce, for me it was blanche. The pho ga was good, I like the broth, clear and tasty. Downside was I asked for extra bean sprout and green when ordering, but I had to ask again. I also asked easy on the ice in the drink, but it seemed like the server can't hear my order well. Everything was just ok, nothing really stand out, few servers don't have enough serving experience. Manager should have they finish training before let them be on the floor to serve guests by themself. The menu is very brief, they should be able to explain to guests how they prepare each item clearly. Banh mi is ok, price is higher then different brand a dollars or two, then don't forget to put napkins in the bag in case guest want to enjoy in their car while driving. Put the product in the nicer bag but nothing to clean after was just a waste of the nicer bag. The place was clean, nice decoration. read more

I'm standing at Boban Café with the staff, and there's a line of about 30 people ahead of me ordering drinks. Despite that, I only waited around 10 minutes to get mine. I'm very happy and satisfied with everything. I love my coffee strong, and if I want it less sweet, I can always ask for less sugar. The food here is really good and the ambiance is great, but the experience was a bit confusing. There are actually two separate restaurants -- one for bánh mì and another for phở -- but there's no clear signage explaining how it works. It's unclear where to order if you just want a bánh mì versus sitting down for phở. I'd recommend having the servers on the phở side help send orders to the appropriate window to make things easier. Boban is a new establishment that just opened up a few weeks ago. I was extremely surprised by the decor and interior design! Everything was sleek and minimalistic with a lot of seating (perfect for studying). However, it's connected to a pho restaurant so I could smell it even though I was on the other side. I got the strawberry matcha, lychee tea, and the Oreo latte. It took about 10 minutes to come out on a Saturday afternoon. The drinks were pretty aesthetically pleasing. I thought that the matcha would be diluted but actually the matcha to milk ratio was not that bad. Their strawberry matcha was pretty good overall with a bitter but creamy taste (it also wasn't clumpy). The lychee tea was refreshing, which obviously had a strong lychee flavor. The Oreo latte was good but my least favorite (my dad said that it was pretty sweet). I will probably come back just for their matcha! I recommend it for newcomers! read more

I tried this place since they had recent bogo deals. First, their bogo deal for coffee was delicious with sesame and pandan flavoring. The flavor and caffeine hit me with the first tiny sip as good viet coffee should and kept me awake all day. Next I tried their buy sandwich get coffee free and their au jus sandwich had delicious meat and broth flavor. Will be back for the coffee and au jus sandwich and try other things. Fun to dip, but bread was not on point. Need crispy not dense bread. I didn't enjoy the warmth of the 5 spice flavor I perceived with smoked chicken. Didn't like the mayo on sandwich either. The sandwich needed to have more pickled radish and more jalapeños for me to enjoy. I expected more acid and heat for freshness. In the end I tried this because Instagram referred. I was coming back to One V Pho, but saw the Boban inside on the right side and have to give it a try at this location. I've been to their other location before and it was great. This location here in Garden Grove is really nice and the vibe is so relaxing plus peaceful. I had the pho sandwiches with the broth dip and it is great. The pho sandwich was great, but the broth just enhanced it to a new level. This Boban location did not disappoint. It was great just like the other location. Definitely coming back when I have 2 option to choose from pho noodle or banh mi. read more

wife and i had a lovely time eating her during my break at work. i got the au jus beef rice bowl (JUICY!) and the mixed fruit tea (YUMMY!) wife got the bbq pork bahn mi with the coco series pandan drink. my au jus beef was a similar shredded texture to birria/barbacoa but served with the side of au jus sauce that soaked deliciously into the bed of rice and meat. 10/10. savory and filling. the mixed fruit tea has passionfruit, strawberry purée, lemon/orange slice with jade (grape) jelly! a lovely sweet and acidic drink that was even more refreshing after adding water to the last half. absolutely yummy combo. HAVE to come again. wife loved her bahn mi, said it was very juicy with plenty of meat and veggies. pandan drink was creamier than she expected but still yummy. the atmosphere was very calming, offers plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. there was a nice breeze that afternoon so we sat outside. read more

Banh Mi is okay, doesn't taste fresh and it's pretty small given the price. Drinks aren't too sweet which is goods . But there are better Banh Mi places with a bigger bang for your buck. I have been to the boban in Cypress and heard about this one opening alongside Pho OneV so I decided to try it out. Amazing ambiance; a great place to have brunch or grab a casual bite. I came back to this restaurant but was in a rush and wanted to just grab a quick bite on the go. I love both Banh Mi and Pho, so I had to try this Mashup of Banh Mi Pho Beef (with the Pho broth dipping sauce).  The Bánh Mì itself was everything a great Bánh Mì should be--crispy, crackly French baguette on the outside with a soft, airy center that held up perfectly to each bite. The fillings were fresh and vibrant: savory grilled meat, crunchy pickled carrots and daikon, cool cucumber slices, fragrant cilantro, and just the right kick of jalapeño. Every ingredient tasted clean, balanced, and thoughtfully assembled. But the real star was the phở dipping sauce. It brought an unexpected twist that elevated the entire experience. The broth was deep and aromatic, with that classic phở flavor--warm spices, slow-simmered beef notes, and a subtle sweetness. Dipping the Bánh Mì into the broth added a comforting, almost French‑dip style richness that made each bite juicier and more flavorful. An unforgettable twist of Pho &Banh Mi.  .
