I finally got a chance to try bobapop recently after passing by the shop so many times along the valley blvd. Upon entering the store, I was mesmerized by the pretty lanterns decor on the wall. They trully did an amazing job with this beautiful decor. Parking is plenty at the parking lot in front of the store. My friend and I decided to order the Japanese Brown Rice Tea and Bobapop Milk Tea. Personally, I like my Japanese Brown Rice Tea better because it has this unique light rice blend taste that I couldn't really find at another boba shop. It was also very refreshing and less sweet. Ever since the lockdown began on March 2020, I haven't had a chance to try any boba places and I recently decided to give this local boba shop a try. Apparently the BoBaPoP brand opened its first shop in Vietnam (currently has more than 100+ shops in Vietnam) and the first US location was opened in Gaithersburg, Maryland in 2018. It is refreshing to see this boba shop offers various signature drink such as Japanese brown rice milk tea. I ordered my drink using their self-service kiosk stations and I had slight issues on trying to add boba & finding their signature drinks. You are able to adjust sweetness and ice percentages and their laminated menu had all of their best sellers highlighted with yellow thumb up icons. *** Japanese brown rice milk tea ($4.75 medium - 0% ice): I didn't realize you can order this drink in a form of either milk tea or milk foam tea. The drink itself was refreshing and it was a bad idea not to have any ice for my drink. *** Not a bad boba shop at all and some of their drinks certainly caught my attention - maybe I will give some of these drinks like matcha slush & flower green tea a try if I get a chance to visit again next time. I'm actually quite shocked how good the drinks are here. I came here a while back with my friends and I don't remember what I ordered but I never thought it was like an OMG wow type of drink. However, more recently, I just came here on a Saturday night around 11:30pm and it was poppin! I ordered the lychee roasted oolong tea (70% sweet) -- only because it was recommended by my fellow yelp friend while I was reading reviews and wow! I'm so glad I followed her suggestion! It was really good! The tea flavor was all there and there was such a nice subtle taste of lychee. My sister ordered the Darling milk tea (50% sweet) and she absolutely loved it as well! I took a sip and I was also very impressed. The biggest mistake with milk teas is that it could taste too milky and not enough tea flavor but I think this place actually hit the spot and made the tea flavor overpower the milk flavor. My dad got the mango green tea and he didn't say too much about it but he said it was good as well. It's in a small plaza but parking wasn't too bad at night. The only think I'd say is that I wish the portion size was a bit bigger for the price we pay for it. Regardless, the quality of the drink makes up for it. There are games for you and your friends to play if you are looking for a place to hang out! Overall, great place. Only other suggestion is to make it VERY CLEAR that the register is closed and that we have to order ourselves on the touch pads to the right side. There was a LONG line of people waiting and none of them bothered to read the signs/the workers didn't tell the customers to use the touch pads so people were foolishly standing in line for at least 5-10 extra minutes. read more

I really really wish we have a place like this out in Vegas! I always order the same thing everywhere I go, so I got the peach green tea with lychee jelly, regular sweet. I took my first sip and I was in awe. The tea was really good. I can actually taste the peach flavor in the tea. The lychee jelly, even though I don't eat it, adds the lychee flavor that I love and the ratio of drink to jelly was just perfect. My tea was very impressive and I drank it all (minus the jelly). Updating my review. Stopped by after dinner to study for a bit. I love how bright it is inside. It didn't seem to fill up much throughout the night so fighting for a table doesn't seem like it'd be a problem. The only downside is how loud it is. The place is a very open space so when staff are laughing/talking it almost echos? The blender is also almost deafening so don't forget to bring your noise cancelling headphones like I did! For some reasons I wanted boba milk tea and I was near this place. Gave it a try, regretted. This is what I asked for, 30% sugar, less ice, I got 100% sugar with several spoons of white sugar and more than half cup of ice. I literally watched this lady kept adding ice to fill up my cup. The actual tea in the cup was less than 20%. I walked away with two cups of sugar milk water, I decided to not put that in my stomach. If you care about your body, don't buy boba milk tea. It took me a while to find a drink I really liked but I finally found my one true pair with the Korean Banana Milk Latte. It is especially delicious and sweet with a milky taste that is really captivating. I got it with 70% but I do wish I had ordered it with less ice. Normal ice can easily take up a third of the medium cup. It can get kind of crowded and busy during the day. They have a kiosk if you want to order online and they also have a traditional counter if you'd rather order through a staff member. The plaza has a parking lot. It can get full but it's not so bad that you can't find parking. The design of the cup is quite charming and aesthetic. A solid boba spot that's on my boba shop rotation. They have a couple of unique drink flavors that you don't see at other boba shops in the area. Drinks are quality-made at a fast pace, although it can get busy depending on the time you're visiting. The spot isn't that large, but there are a couple tables to sit at if you're looking to hang out with friends. I usually get 50%-70% sweetness depending on the drink. For the mint milk tea, I would definitely get 50% sweetness at the most because it is on the sweeter side of things. We came here around 8pm and ordered the large roasted oolong milk tea less ice and 70% sweetness and the large jasmine milk tea less ice and 50% sweetness. The drinks came out to be about $11 and some change without any toppings. The drinks came out within 2 minutes... which makes me think that they aren't making it one cup at a time.. because there was a lot of people in the shop that were waiting for their drinks before us and somehow we got ours first. The cup display has be changed. It's just a boring clear cup with their logo on top. In the past, they had cute dogs on the cup with their logo. The last cup and the top looked very clean. I don't know if they just ran out of cups this time or what... but it made it less appealing, almost like it was messily done. In regards to the flavor, the roasted oolong milk tea was okay. The sweetness was fine at 70%. As for the jasmine milk tea also just okay. Both drinks were very light on the actual tea flavor, where you can barely taste it. It wasn't like this in the past, and since I asked for less ice, you would also think you can taste more of the tea flavor. More like 4.5 stars, because it can vary depending on what you get. The drinks are on the sweeter side, so I always get 50% sugar and it seems to be just right. The decor of the place is really bright and cozy, and they have the FiveStars rewards program. Staff is usually very nice. You can also order via a QR code, but it's easy to just order at the register. I usually get the winter melon green tea with agar boba, and I've also tried their plum green tea, almond milk tea, winter melon green tea. All drinks have been pretty solid, and I can taste the real tea flavor. One day, I tried their kiwi green tea and just seeing how bright green the drink was, I knew. One of my favorite boba places in SGV! The drinks here are delicious and the boba is always perfectly chewy. I love their variety of unique menu options here, though I usually opt for their Jasmine Milk Tea with boba 70% sugar and 30% ice. I have also tried and love their Wintermelon Milk Tea. All their milk teas are creamy and I really appreciate the strong tea flavor. My boyfriend enjoyed his strawberry black tea as well, and the real strawberry bits add a nice freshness! The service here is always great and the shop is clean. They have cute cute lantern decorations on the wall next to their logo, which is a super cute frenchie! They have an online ordering system that's easy to use - great during COVID times when people want less interaction. What sets this boba place apart from the others is the red bean, pudding, and popballs. You can also adjust the sugar and ice level. I ordered a Chocolate Milk Tea with Black Pearls (aka boba, they call it black pearls here). Omg let's talk about the boba itself. The boba was excellent as it was soft on the outside and chewy and bouncy in the middle with a sweet syrupy flavor. These little boba balls slid up the straw very easily. The Chocolate Milk Tea however tasted like an overly creamy chocolate drink. I didn't taste much of the milk tea. Their Chocolate Milk Tea kind of reminds me of Ding Tea's which is okay but not my kind of tea. Service was pretty good. The cashier was very friendly. The drinks did take a while but I didn't mind that too much. The interior is pretty cute. There wasn't much ventilation inside however so it smelled like coffee combined with sweet boba. Super cute boba shop in SG. Located in a strip mall on Valley Blvd, there's a free lot and street parking. If there's a wait you can scan their QR code to check out the menu and/or order before you get inside. You can also still pay with cash inside at the register. The drink vibe here tends to range from classic to modern options. You can pick up a standard milk tea with boba or go hip with a Saigon spiced pumpkin latte or Korean banana milk drink w/boba. The drinks here are definitely better than average- more of an earthy taste with the tea based drinks. We ordered a bobapop milk tea, brown sugar latte and a Oreo Slush. All good, all not too sweet. Good ingredients and no artificial taste to anything. Cups are non-reusable plastic with a cute frenchie logo on them. I read some reviews that complained about the cost of drinks, but if you are a true boba fiend you'll taste the quality of the ingredients and won't mind the price (which I think is totally average compared to similar shops in the area). There are also snack options- from funky flavored Lay's potato chips from Asia to Furikake popcorn! Fun choices if you're hungry too. So why 4 stars instead of 5? I had a slight customer service issue. When I was ordering the young man was super nice but was trying to rush me through. It was busy, but I was ordering 3 drinks and a bunch of snacks. Since I know it's sometimes hard to hear people when wearing masks, I made sure to be extra loud. After 10 minutes of waiting in line and waiting another 15 minutes for our order, it was missing a drink & 2 bags of chips. Fun little boba shop in the SGV! Met a friend here to grab drinks and chat on a Saturday afternoon around 3 PM. It's located in a small cluster of shops off of Valley Boulevard. There is a small parking lot and it had plenty of parking while we were there. Inside, BoBaPOP was nicely decorated for Halloween and had a decent amount of seating. We quickly placed our orders and received our drinks. I ordered the BoBaPOP milk tea with 70% sugar, 50% ice, and brown sugar boba. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that brown sugar boba was a different type of boba (as I thought it was normal pearls soaked in a brown sugar syrup). These pearls tasted different and had a gummy texture that I was not a huge fan of. After a sip, I decided to ask if I could swap out the brown sugar boba for regular boba (as there's a sign that says to let them know if you are unsatisfied with your drink) The employee was understanding and she replaced my drink. Once the boba was swapped out, the drink satisfied my boba craving! The milk tea was pretty standard (I think 70% sweetness was the perfect amount) and the regular boba was nice and chewy. I'm always more hesitant to lower sweetness for fruit teas because it can be too bland at times, but 80% was definitely too much. Tried the Thai milk tea and it was a nice standard, Thai tea cannot go wrong. I think the 100% was ideal for this one. By the time I tried it, I think my 80% was sweeter than the Thai tea at 100%. Great afternoon drink after a heavy meal. The ying and yang comes with grass jelly and pudding. Great drink, would recommend. The almond milk tea is also good, according to my friend. When asked how it was compared to tenren's she said it's actually better here. She liked how the tea tasted more authentic here. My other friend got the matcha latte but said she probably wouldn't get it again because it tasted gritty. Guess the matcha needed to be whisked longer before mixing it with everything else? We were looking for a spot to get a drink before we headed back to the OC with our Ji Rong duck order in tow and we came across BobaPOP which was only a couple minutes away from where we were. The parking lot is small but we managed to snag a spot. Also, turnaround is high so it didn't look like anyone showing up while we were waiting had problems getting parking. We got lucky and made it in line just before a huge post-lunch rush. Yay! People were respectful on the whole and maintained the spacing. The employees we interacted with were all very pleasant despite staring down a huge line of customers waiting to order. TBH, we didn't really know what to expect and didn't really do a deep dive into the Yelp photos. I decided on the fly to get a Japanese brown rice milk foam tea (30% sugar/50% ice) while hubby though he should try the BobaPOP milk tea (50% sugar, 50% ice). The tea does take longer than usual to put out...from what I can tell, they might be brewing each tea to order? I think I low-key squealed with delight when I spotted the Hello Kitty on my milk foam. (Again, had no idea what to expect.) I mean...there's no way tea wouldn't taste good with HK on it, right? But HK obsession aside, the tea was really great and the 30% sugar was definitely to my taste. Hubby though his tea was tasty as well but noted that the 50% sugar was still pretty sweet so he thinks he'll try the 30% next time. All in all, a great stop for us. This is a neat little boba shop in the heart of SGV boba heaven! They're located in a small plaza with plentiful parking, so finding a spot here is no problem. Inside, it's like you're in a completely different place. The wood walls are strung with floating balloon lanterns, and it feels like a wonderland of sorts! Honestly, I'd love to hang out here once COVID ends because of the cool decor that I've never seen anywhere else. The top notch decor is matched by the top notch drinks they offer. They have a lot of boba/milk tea drink options that are both what you would and wouldn't expect to find. There's lots of customizations and toppings to fit everyone's taste out there. Feeling adventurous as a first timer, I got the mint milk tea with regular sweetness and less ice. It tasted exactly like a good mint ice cream without being too minty! I would give this place zero stars if I could. I've been to plenty of boba shops, and I've never had an experience as awful as this one. The drink I ordered was completely undrinkable--either the ingredients were expired, or they had no idea what they were doing. When I politely brought it up to the owner, instead of offering a fix, they were unbelievably rude and dismissive. Apparently, customer service doesn't exist here. If you want to spend money on a disgusting drink and be treated like an inconvenience, this is the place for you. Otherwise, save yourself the time and go somewhere that actually values its customers. Seriously, just go to un1que tea, wushiland, 3catea, or literally anywhere else.
