I was in town for a conference and really just needed a pick me up. I read that they have fresh brewed tea so I stopped in to grab a plain jasmine tea. There was no one inside, but it is well decorated and very vibrant. The worker greeted me and since I knew what I wanted. I went straight for the order. He quickly came out with my drink since it was just plain jasmine tea. The jasmine was flavorful and floral. It did taste like it was brewed for slightly too long, but nothing that was bitter. I appreciate the quickness in the service and if I'm ever back in Midtown would definitely come here.

I came here on a weekday afternoon and appreciate the aesthetics of this boba shop, including the flower wall and the swing beside it. However, the Mung Bean Pandan latte that I ordered was slightly underwhelming. The flavors sounded interesting, but the drink was not as flavorful as I hoped for. Even with less sweetness, the drink was a bit too sweet, and the drink felt pre-made rather than freshly crafted. This place didn't live up to my expectations the first time, but I'd love to try another drink in the future.

3.5 STARS Date: Sunday, October 12th, 2025 Meal: After Dinner Boba Takeaway Time Ordered: around 8:15pm Time Pickup Up: about 10 mins later KungFu Black Tea ($5) *0% *Stir-Fried Boba ($0.90) *Crystal Jelly Boba ($0.90) *Large *Pandan Coco Cloud ($0.90) *California: 10.25% ($0.79) *Tip ($1.16) Total = $9.65 I wanted a boba so we dropped by after dinner. I place my order from their website via Square. Pretty easy and straight forward. This is completely my mistake, but the drink was waaaay too sweet for me. Must have been the pandan coco cloud cuz holy sugar batman. I almost tossed it, but I hate wasting things so I actually drank it. Very cavity inducing. Otherwise the boba textures were pretty good. It's a cute spot with a background to take pix for social media. Tho I have no idea why I was charged 10.25% in sales tax? I looked it up and Sac's tax isn't that much. Maybe ordering in person is different. But if you pre-order from their site, you do have to pay that line item. REVIEW #3867

Nice spot to grab a milk tea in the Sac area. It was warm and the milk the absolutely hit the spot. Service was fast as I was the only one in the store. Street parking. Casual. Please come and create your own experience.

Bober is definitely a staple for boba in sac! They are always super consistent with the taste and quality. The wintermelon milk tea is my absolute favorite from here, and sometimes I like to add their boba in it. Their shops are always so pretty inside, and decorated in lots of flowers and pink. We ordered through door dash, and the drinks were still fresh upon arrival.

I was in the area back in October 2024 for a work conference. Finally on the last morning before catching our flight back home, I slipped away and walked over here to try out some boba in Sacramento. I called several times before coming because I had a hard time finding it but nobody picked up. I finally found it and upon coming in, the only worker at the time was taking some pictures for some customers so I guess that's why they didn't pick up the phone. Anywho, the worker that day ended up being the owner so I had a chat with him and got some recommendations. I ended up with their brown sugar milk tea. It was decent but not the best I've had. Overall the owner was nice and the place is cute and cozy. 3.5 stars but ill give it a 4 since it was the only boba place I was able to try before catching a flight back home!

Love coming in here for my boba teas!!! The staff is kind and helpful with any questions. The inside is so adorable and perfect for pictures with their flower and swing wall.

    Chizu Strawberry Green Tea

We stumbled across this boba shop while walking around Midtown. It's very aesthetic inside with a rose/flower wall and swings that you can sit on. They have a computer kiosk where you can order your drinks. I ordered the chizu strawberry green tea with boba. The boba itself was soft and chewy. The drink was a pureed strawberry green tea, not too sweet with a cheese foam that made it more creamy. The drink came out relatively quick after placing our order. Overall, a solid spot to get boba in this area.

Bober has been one of our go-to boba shops in the midtown area ever since we moved down here. The service is always great as the employees are always very welcoming and helpful when it comes to drink recommendations. It's mostly a to go spot so there aren't any tables or chairs inside the shop though they do have a very comfortable couch you can sit on and chill. We usually order the supreme mango green tea with rainbow jelly or crystal boba but their strawberry green tea is also really good. They also have many other options for those who like milk based drinks. Definitely check this place out to satisfy your refreshing cravings.

The location is great. It's right in the handle district near plenty of other restaurants and in between apartments. There is mainly street parking available but i do believe I saw a parking structure. The service was speedy. Our boba came out in under a minute. Our cashier was friendly and attended to us in an efficient manner. The vibes are great. Banger music plays and they have a nice wall to take Instagramable pictures at. Quotes line the walls. Not sure if they have a bathroom though. The prices are average. I'd say you can walk out of here for about $15 for two people making this a ($$) for me since you're just getting dessert drinks. We really liked how they had a cup that had a mystery plushie in it. The flavor is about average for what you'd expect from a boba establishment. Its not groundbreaking flavor but it's still good. I actually liked my cookies and cream drink but my wife did not. I'd say the flavors can be a hit or a miss. Bottom line/TLDR: solid boba spot.

Bober Tea never fails me. I love keeping up with all their suprise cups and delicious drinks. I love stopping at this location whenever I'm hanging out in downtown. It's small and cute for pictures too.

I frequent this location and I am always satisfied every time!! My go-to orders are Wintermelon Milk Tea, Chizu Mango Green Tea, Chizu Taro Latte, and Thai Tea Latte. They have so much delicious drinks to choose from & their service is always so kind and helpful! This location is the perfect spot for grab & go drinks, and I will always be obsessed with the pink decor. I also love that they have such creative options like their Bear Bricks, Surprise Cups, Coffees, and more.

Bober Tea in Midtown is easily the best boba spot in Sacramento. The drinks are consistently amazing--our go-tos are the Okumidori Matcha Latte (smooth, earthy, and just the right amount of sweetness), the Mango Jasmine Green Tea (refreshing and floral with a fruity kick), and the Classic Milk Tea, which is always solid. The real standout here is the boba. The pearls are unlike anything else--soft, chewy, sweet, and perfectly made every time. You can tell there's real care behind how they're prepared, and it makes a huge difference. The staff is just as impressive as the drinks. Everyone is super friendly, welcoming, and just genuinely cool. The vibe is great! Bober Tea never misses. Easily a top-tier spot that sets the bar for boba in Sacramento.

The banana flavor paired surprisingly well with the matcha and made for a really refreshing drink. It was one of those drinks that I immediately knew I'd order again. But honestly, the highlight wasn't even the drink itself. It was the adorable little elephant vessel it came with. They put dry ice inside and then pour water into it, making it look like the elephant is blowing smoke out of its trunk. My daughter was completely mesmerized. Watching her reaction was worth the visit all by itself. What I loved most was that it wasn't just a gimmick. The drink was actually good, and the elephant made such a cute keepsake afterward. It felt like getting both a treat and a souvenir. The café itself had a fun atmosphere, and it was one of those places that felt a little different from your typical coffee or tea stop. Helpful tip: If it's your first visit, order one of the drinks served in the elephant. The presentation alone is worth it, especially if you're visiting with kids. Between the banana matcha and my daughter's excitement over the smoking elephant, this ended up being one of those unexpectedly memorable stops we'll be talking about for a while.

My drink wasnt too sweet which I prefer. The hojicha latte was great as well! You don't see this often if at all so it was a pleasant surprise. The service was friendly and they were patient when I had questions on the standard vs the "twice" drinks. They have a shared parking lot which helps as they are off a busy stretch of road. The cons: They do not have size options for their beverages. Which for the most part isn't an issue except when I wanted a large drink. Which is why I bought 2. They partnered with Pastry Cat and unfortunately the common theme was they never had pastries even in 9am window. Not their fault but maybe partnering with a patisserie that offers consistent inventory might be worthwhile? The ambience is less "come and enjoy your drink" and more "we don't have enough seating"and use the space efficiently. I think if they update the layout of the tables and chairs, it would feel more inviting to sit for a bit or meet up with friends. The parking lot. It's terrible, crowded and people don't know how to park. I saw a couple of cars almost back into eachother while waiting and I was grateful I parked on the street and walked. Overall, the quality of the drinks and the friendliness are great and that receives 4 stars. If you want a quality matcha drink then give them a try. But I have access to other cafes that meet my needs; enough that Offbeat will be more of an off the beaten path option than a regular one.

It was kind of a mix between a latte and a slushy. On the weekends, they have Shawarma and hookah with a live music. It's worth a try if you're in the area.

I was a bit sad because their drink selection is a bit small. However, they were very helpful in helping me pick out a drink and explaining what some of their other drinks were. The employee was talking on their phone a bit throughout the time I was there, but I didn't mind since I was still deciding on a drink and not ready to order. I got the mocha drink and the Finjan coffee. I enjoyed both but I think I liked the mocha drink more. They had a wide variety of dessert that looked amazing. I want to come back and try them one day! They were absolutely mouth-watering, but too early in the day for me to have sweets. Their coffee house is quite large, with a lot of seating. It seems like a nice place to study! I loved that they had murals outside and that the nearby outside seating was also lovely. There is a wonderful aesthetic inside the shop and in the plaza it is located in.

He got the egg cream coffee, I got the banana cream matcha, and she got the strawberry matcha. The banana cream had small bits of banana in it- not too large to mess with the texture, but still yummy and packing a bit of sweetness in each of them! The matcha itself was great, the taste was earthy and not bitter. I downed my drink faster than I'd care to admit. The egg cream coffee was unique and yummy, definitely strong! The inside is decorated so cutely and was showing the World Cup on TV for a few people to watch. I wish them much continued success with their business.

Located in an inconspicuous strip mall, I was warmly greeted with a friendly "hello" and a bright smile. I decided to switch things up, and I actually ordered a strawberry iced Matcha latte. Hands-down, this was one of the best Matcha lattes I have had in a long time and the strawberry added a nice twist. The service was fast and extremely friendly and the prices were fair. There was ample parking and if you are a fan of Vietnamese coffee I would highly recommend checking this place out.

I ordered the taro latte with pudding, mango coconut pudding, spicy crab, and tator tots. Taro latte was 70% sweetness and was still kinda sweet. That was on me though. I typically order 50% sweet but this was my first time here so I only went slightly less sweet than the base. The mango coconut pudding was really good but also slightly sweet for me. The spicy crab rice ball was delicious. It was hot when it came out and didn't have too much mayo. The tater tots were super hot and crunchy. Not too salty either. Definitely coming back to this location!

We especially excited to try the instant ramen maker. We walked in and ordered in the kiosk. The menu had different teas, mochi donuts, dumplings, corndogs, and other snacks. However, after ordering we noticed the ramen wasn't on there. We asked the staff and they said the ramen maker wasn't working so that was disappointing. They were also out of something I ordered and they were able to refund me. The drinks and food took a bit to come out. The wonton and dumplings were ok, but the soup it came in was pretty good. The taro drink and mochi dog we got were good. Inside was very picturesque with a good amount of seating. The ramen wall was impressive and had a good selection. It served more for a decoration that day than for eating. But we loved the cute tree and floral wall. They also had some games for you to play with while waiting. Overall everything was ok but maybe we'll be back to give it another try.
