Came here and it was pretty good. Would come back. Have not found a better place for beef ribs than here. Workers are so nice and helpful. The plentiful sauces make a huge difference. Not too thrilled with my recent visit to Bob's BarBQue. They didn't prepare the NY steak as I requested. However, my son says the teri beef was good. The side of kim chee was also good. We both ordered seafood combo plates with your choice of fried shrimp pr fried scallops. We chose the fried scallops which were just ok. You can sub the mac salad with corn or kim chee. Before coming to Oahu we made sure to make a list of all the best, out of the way food spots according to many YouTubers... Especially The Hawaiian Traveler. Bob's did not miss... Don't sleep on this place just because of the looks of it. Some of the, if not THE best Hawaiian BBQ we've ever had. Everything was on point! Conveniently located on the corner of Waiakamilo and Dillingham. Called in for take-out. Did the lunch run for the gang. Girl on the phone was very polite and patient. Picked up in 30 minutes and the order was ready with condiments and utensils inside. Everyone at work was very happy with no complications. Everyone was also happy with the taste and quality of their order. Teri Pork had great BBQ flavor cooked perfectly. The Shrimp burger was on spot where there was less batter and more shrimp, very tasty. Very fast and efficient service. Great staff, even the cooks say, hi when they see you. Before the baked beans with polish sausage was my go to here and sadly it might not be anymore. My reason is because the original plate came with more baked beans and a whole sausage cut in two piece's. Now it's less baked beans and only half of a whole sausage sliced in half. The flavor fortunately is still delicious in my opinion but when you have to cut the portions of baked beans and sausage then it's time for me to look elsewhere. Been to Bob's many time but didn't get a chance to write a review. Well for lunch I ordered their shrimp burger and a mini Hibachi chicken. I recommend their Shrimp burger it's very good with 2 pieces of deep fried shrimp w/ cole slaw lettuce on a sesame seed bun. Not as good as it used to be and the price for two bbq burgers was $13.00 I was in shock how small the beef Pattie's were no sauce on top but rather inside the meat but was not as juicy as I recall. Careful for the burnt edges that you can almost crack your teeth on. L and L burgers are better and fatter. Will not eat a burger from there again. read more

It's so comforting to eat food that you can taste love in. You know when there's love in the food. You just know it deep in your soul. I always either order the BBQ Mix plate, the Teri chicken combo, or the Seafood combo. Tonight I ordered the Teri chicken combo with fried shrimp with a side of Fat Boy burger (teri cheeseburger with fried egg). My bill came out to leas than $14. The food is a typical BBQ hole-in-the-wall. The place isn't so sanitary looking, but that's where all the extra flavor comes from lol, nah just joking, but yes, if you so happen to look inside the kitchen area, it does look kinda filthy, but you look away and wait until your name is called for pickup, then you'll be fine lol. The parking is still small, but they expanded their parking lot with another similar sized one next to it. The staff are not really customer friendly, but provides quick customer service. Bob's has that old school drive-in vibe. Parking is in front of the take out spot, with a few benches out front to eat and drink if you're picking up lunch while at work. Hibachi Chicken is a must have here, it's a little different than what you might get at a regular local food restaurant. The other items are more of the typical plate lunch place. Ample rice and tasty Mac salad complete the meal. Chicken was tender and had the perfect amount of flavor with their sauce. It's a little messy, but so good. Prices are pretty standard for a plate lunch- so no surprises there. Apparently they also cater, which might be good to try for our next event. Stopped by here because an Uber driver recommended it. He was right! this place is amazing. There wasn't a single tourist. Just locals who wanted to grab a plate of food before going home. Wow, don't let looks deceive you. Served in a styrofoam tray and only outdoor picnic table seating, this was one of the best meals I had in Honolulu, and we ate at some pretty great places during our visit. We actually came here from the airport after dropping off our bags early and needed something to eat. The "restaurant" (actually just a takeout window) is in a semi light industrial area with a few fast food restaurants nearby. We were actually heading to another place which happened to be closed because it was New Year's Day. We had seen this place on the drive over and asked our Lyft driver to drop us off here instead, and I'm glad he did. The menu is large but simple, with most items coming off of their grill or griddle. I had the hibachi chicken, which consisted of two large chicken thighs grilled, brushed generously with a bbq sauce. The sauce was sweet, bright and tangy and absolutely delicious. It also came with a scoop of rice, a scoop of macaroni salad and a bit of cabbage coleslaw. I could seriously drink that bbq sauce. My wife had a breakfast dish, I can't remember the name, but it came with two scoops of rice, two eggs, some fried spam, and some Portuguese sausage and she really enjoyed it. Neither dish cost more than eight dollars and were very large, considering that we ordered the 'mini' of each, with the next size being the dinner size. I can't imagine how large the dinner size must be considering how big the mini was, we were both stuffed. An excellent last meal in Hawaii. read more
