I believe they SOLD OFF this business because the owners i used to always see are no longer there and some lady took over and has no idea what she's doing. I had left a large dry cleaning order a while back and she called saying it was ready. When I came to pick up the order she only had a final price when I asked for the prices of each service or an itemized receipt she mentioned that it was not available because they changed the computer systems and the "old system" only has the details of my order. funny no?! And to top it off she told me when I picked up the order there was 8 items total and that I picked up 3 items already and didn't pay when I picked them up so I'm paying for 8 items when I only had 5 in hand. The old Asian man is a scammer. I've been coming for one year and he's always cranky and never greets you and usually charges $55. Literally I came last week and this was the rate for the exact same comforter. Today out of the blue he argues with me and decides to charge $75. First he said the $55 rate was for new customers. Then I told him ive been coming for 1yr and he says he's been "giving me a discount." What a liar and a fraud. Just making stuff up as he goes. Absolutely do not recommend coming here and will not be back. He has no customer service skills and my comforter was not fully clean there was hair in my bag that was visible that he tried to convince me was just lint(Photo attached). My husband and I have been going to this location for about 2 years when we started to realize they started to steal our clothes or misplace it. I am missing three items and I asked the owner about it several times and he had no explanation and said it wasn't his fault. I'd go here with caution! They don't believe the costumer is right and argued with me regarding the items that were missing. One item was a white pencil skirt, another was a beyond yoga work out sweater, and another was a white dress with the back open with palm trees. All items GONE! And never returned! When I went to drop off the items the woman who counted our items said she thought some of the items were cute. So I am assuming they were either misplaced or taken with no explanation. My new camel colored coat that I purchased in Berlin this past fall was burned/over heated when first dry cleaned at Bob's. I noticed the subtle discoloration when I picked it up, especially on the edges, but didn't say anything. Second time cleaning the coat now, and decided to go to another cleaner where they told me that the discoloration was damage from dry cleaning. I think Bob's is mediocre at best, and have had to point out stains that weren't removed. My clothes actually look much cleaner when I hand wash. Tailoring services are also just mediocre at best. She'll adjust the main issue, but then another area of the garment will fit differently. read more

Oh Bob. I've been going to Bob's since I moved to the Los Feliz area about 5 years ago. Initially I was looking for a dry cleaner who was not only convenient but competent in both dry cleaning and tailoring. Bob's Cleaners fit the bill on all my prerequisites. Located on the north side of Franklin Blvd. just across the street from Gelson's, Bob's is in the perfect spot as I drive to get on the 101 freeway when I'm going to work in the morning. While the parking lot is shared with Locali and various other establishments, I've never had an issue finding a spot out front as Bob put's out a sign reserving a spot for his customers. Service at Bob's has always been on point and without so much as an issue over the last few years. Dry cleaning, pressing and spot removal have all been done in a professional manner and pricing has been value oriented. I've personally never had an issue with an item being lost or destroyed but I believe there is that possibility in this line of work. Furthermore, if you're looking for someone to do your clothing alterations, the tailor that works there, Jenny, is extremely capable. I've had t-shirts, raw denim jeans and button up shirts hemmed and the work has always been top notch, and again, of considerable value when compared to other dry cleaning establishments in the area. Lastly, if you're of the sensitive type and easily flummoxed because of your lack of social skills, be forewarned that Bob while mostly friendly, can be rather cantankerous at times but he's a good dude in my book. read more

I guess since I've already used the services here twice so considered a "regular" on Yelp, I should write a review. It merits a good review anyway since Bob, I'm pretty sure that's the name of the owner guy who helps and serves us every time we come here, is chill. I brought in a bunch of dress shirts and he was suggesting that they should be dry cleaned instead of laundered because then he could really detail it and take out all the stains and ring around the collar crud most dress shirts tend to get. If you just throw it in the laundry, it tends to make the stains permanent so dry cleaning is best. I suppose I already knew that but of course, dry cleaning costs a bit more than laundry but having nice looking shirts is important so the $4/piece dry cleaning cost is worth it. They also do tailoring if you need it. I've found my go-to dry cleaning joint. Will be back. read more

I will... 2- Not only are the prices incredibly reasonable (and he always knocks the price down to the nearest dollar) - Sweet Bob takes cash and credit! 3- The service is amazing. Fantastic service. Two days before I had to fly out to a friend's wedding, it dawned on me that I should have my suit cleaned. I called ahead to make sure I'm not asking the impossible, but they assured me they could get it done by the next day. I took them up on it and didn't regret it. I brought in a suit, two shirts, a jacket and an extra pair of pants. At least some of these items had heavy mystery stains on it, and one of the shirts had a nasty yellow collar. When I picked them up, they all looked like brand new. I tried to tip the guy for the rush job, but he wouldn't take more than 2 dollars. Definitely coming back here. read more

I love bobs. I have been using his services for 6 years. Sadly I am moving away from the area and will have to find a new dry cleaners. I love bobs because he will take the time and care to get the stains out of your clothes. Even if he thinks it's impossible, he'll try anyway and he usually succeeds. At least in my experience. The other completely wonderful thing about bobs is he isn't like other dry cleaners where he donates your clothes after not showing up to claim them for a month. No he will hold onto them for months! I kind of think he might even hold onto them until you come back for them, be it a month or a few years. He's an incredibly sweet man and the woman who does the alterations is very skilled. If I could give zero stars I would!! Do NOT go here! I took several items here and have been using alterations here. When I got home with my 2 dresses I noticed on 1 dress the same stains were there and the hem was undone. On the second dress the material was picked from something brushing up against it and is VERY bad. These are 2 brand new dresses, worn once! The owner refused to do anything and even denied that he had cleaned the dresses despite the fact that they had not even been removed from the dry cleaning packaging! He even refused to refund me what I paid to have the dresses cleaned refusing to even look up my order in the system. He tried to throw two five dollar bills at me and told me to get out! No matter how convenient the location is DO NOT go here. You cannot trust that if is an issue with your clothes that they will remedy it! Frankly the owner scared me yelling at me! WORST alteration experience EVER. First, they misplaced my pants that I brought in for hemming, found them the day I was to pick them up, but did not bother to call me and tell me this, requiring me to go in twice. Oh, and no apology for their SNAFU. Secondly, it was the aboslute WORST hemming job in the history of pants. One pair was about 3-1/2 inches shorter than they were supposed to be PLUS, the stitching holes from the old hem showed on the outside along the bottom. So basically, they ruined my pants after making me wait. Do not take things here for alterations, is all I can say. Especially when you can bring them to Holly Hills on Bronson on the other side of Mayfair/Gelson's and get a great job on time for half the price!! read more
