Really friendly & fast service but food was so-so and very expensive for the portions. I got creamed chipped beef on rye toast with homefries and they served it over ONE piece of toast and it was $11.95! I probably wouldn't come back, we only stopped here because it was the 1st place to get breakfast that we hit coming down from 17th. Aaaaaand fast forward to 8 hours later - it made me sick! Ugh. I called to ask the Manager if the Creamed Chipped Beef was made fresh daily, he said every other day & today it was fresh. Wondering if the milk they used was bad, because I have a very strong stomach & that's all I ate today. I thanked him for the info and he just said goodbye. Very disappointed seeing as a couple of years ago this was the food I grew up with on beach vacations. Seeing it go downhill saddens me. The waitresses seem very polite but also sad. The food is terrible. The home fries look like slop and the water tastes like metal according to my wife. The toast was the best part. Had great service this morning at Bob's. The bike boys were so nice and my waitress was the best!! Had some yummy chocolate chip pancakes and home fries. I'll give it 2 stars because the food was average. The floor was dirty, which I can somewhat understand since it's right on the boardwalk and there is sand everywhere. What I don't get is why the male AND female bathrooms had inordinate amounts of flies everywhere. My girlfriend and myself both noticed this right away. Cash only which is fine because it does say it everyone in the restaurant. I could have done without the waitresses going on about how many times they've been stiffed though. Won't return. read more

This was a great place to go to -- years ago. Nowadays, it is just overpriced and not consumer friendly. First -- no credit cards accepted. If you don't have cash, they will point you to an onsite ATM that features a low maximum withdrawal and a high fee for withdrawing money. Second, the food is just passable. For the money you're paying, you can do a lot better elsewhere. And because there are no windows, there's no AC and a ton of flies. Parking can be tough but they have a lot where the bike rentals are. It is often full. Another example of not consumer friendly -- a big notice on the menu "NO SUBSTITUTIONS". Wasn't real impressed. When we walked in at noon on a summer day at the shore and the restaurant was empty, that should have been a red flag. The quality was no better than McDonald's. The bill came to almost $90 just for a couple of us to have burgers and fries. I know shore food is always overpriced but I expected better quality for that total. WORST RESTAURANT EVER!!! First there is horrible service, the waitress got our very simple order wrong. We asked for two pork roll and cheese on a bagel. We got pork roll and egg on a bagel. No cheese, and ONLY ONE PIECE OF PORK ROLL!!! So we essentially paid for a small, cheap, bagel and one piece of pork roll.....terrible. So after waiting almost 1/2 hour for the order to come up, the server also forgot our lemonades. All the food had small portions, was bland, and overpriced (even for the boardwalk). The final deal breaker, cash only.... It's 2015 people.... They don't want to pay the credit card fees but have no problems charging you $3.50 fee at their ATM. Funny thing is last time we were in Ocean City the same thing happened and we said "we will never go to Bobs again". We should have followed our boycott. Stay away from Bob's at all cost. I give them a full 5 for their bike and surrey rentals. Always available and kind when we rent from here- plus free parking! Their food and eatery is just OK. Sandwiches and such for lunch- your regular breakfast menu for breakfast. It's fine. Nothing fancy. It is nice to eat there when it's warm with their front open to be able to see and feel the shore air. read more

We had breakfast here this time around. I had a Belgium waffle and scrapple. My husband had the eggs any way with breakfast meat and toast. They were super busy, but The food came out quickly, and was piping hot. It really good too! I would absolutely eat breakfast there again. I've also had the fried shrimp for lunch which are crunchy and really hit the fried shrimp spot in terms of size, flavor, and number of shrimp you get. Eating in is just fine, but taking out works too. We like Bobs grill. read more

Went for breakfast and we usually visit this place more than once on our yearly vacations to Ocean City New Jersey however we were very disappointed in the food. Not sure if they just had a bad day but even the coffee tasted off. Not sure what was going on. We will try them out again next year but for this year we limited our visit to just once. read more

Bright and breezy place on the boardwalk, we received a warm welcome on arrival. Get an upstairs table for terrific views. Very pleasant waitstaff. Ordered eggs Benedict. Terrible I don't know the sauce was but it wasn't Hollandaise. I truly think they pour chicken gravy over it. Home fries were greasy and oddly flavored. We had a regular burger and a 1/4 pound burger ($9.50) that did not look that big. They were not bad but nothing special. Service was poor, although there was a gaggle of teenage girls working. This place is located on the boardwalk. The food is very pricey and extremely poor quality. I had a Greek Salad, which was composed of romaine lettuce, cucumber, feta cheese, and olives. It was the size of a medium salad but cost me $9.00!! Eating on the boardwalk is always more expense because of the cost to have such a good location, however they should strive to have good food. At this place kids eat free between 4 and 7. Every other table had kids. That seems to be the only reason people decided to eat there. The kids menu was very limited. When I went to the bathroom, located next to the kitchen, there were flies everywhere! I would never go back to this place. read more

Came in on a Saturday morning before leaving after a wonderful weeklong family vacation. There were 13 of us in our party which is a large group but they didn't really care about trying to seat us together and all of our food came out at different times over the course of two long hours. The majority of the orders were wrong or extremely sub par. If it weren't for the location I'm sure this place would not still be in business. The wait staff tries to make a good experience but because of the kitchen our poor waitress spent 2 hours apologizing for wrong orders and extremely slow service. Well..came here when I was younger for breakfast and it was packed then and I don't remember it being this bad. Maybe its because I was younger...maybe it was because it was breakfast.. This recent trip was not as great. There was barely anyone around..our group came in..had to wander halfway to the back to find a "host" to be told we are to seat ourselves..fine. I ordered pork roll and cheese, and boy did I get pork roll and cheese..and not a single thing more. Since it was under the sandwich section, I figured I'd get maybe a bag of chips...a handful of fries perhaps...nope! Porkroll...and cheese...that's it, all on a plate barely bigger than the sandwich itself. The child in our groups spaghetti and meatballs came in a bowl barely able to contain the meal. With every cut of the meatball spaghetti was spilling over the sides. we had to transport it to a dish 3 times the size it arrived in in order for an ADULT to cut the meatballs and pasta up without it spilling all over the table..
