I have eaten here a couple times now. The soup and bread are beyond delicious and always taste extremely fresh. As far as food goes, you do get a small serving of food on a plate for a high price, but the soup or salad (whatever you choose to get) is complementary when you're ordering an entree at this restaurant, so in reality you get quite a lot of food for what you are paying. We dined at this establishment due to the recommendation of the hotel we had just checked into. We knew immediately it was going to be a good choice as we got the last parking spot - we were told it would be a half hour wait. Once seated our waitress was prompt with warm bread. I was expecting this lunch to be the same, and brought my elderly mother and sister who were visiting from New Hampshire. Ah! Loved it! It was date night while I was visiting my boyfriend in MA. I'm from New Orleans myself. The name is a little hokey, so I wasn't expecting it to be so nice! The food, drink menu, service (hostess, bartender & waitress) and the look of the place were all impressive. The bathroom was really disappointing with only one or two stalls, but it wasn't a huge deal. I started off with a Kentucky iced tea from the bar that had Limoncello and a tea liquor like Firefly (don't remember! Sorry!). It was so good and I could drink it, for all you lightweights out there--I can't handle anything that really tastes like alcohol. We had the cheese plate for our appetizer and it was a perfect amount and delicious. My boyfriend ordered chicken tortellinis with a cheese in it. She kept forgetting about us, she forgot my wine that I wanted with my dinner,she didn't give my boyfriends drink 15 minutes after I got mine. And then the food.. we wanted to treat our self so first we got the calamari and it was very good. I got the veal Oscar and my boyfriend got the surf and turf. We had to wait 45 mins for our entree after we at our calamari. My boyfriends mashed potatoes were cold but I will say as a chef his steak was perfect medium so good job to the cook that made it. Now for my Oscar. The last time I had the Oscar is was creamy and had a perfect amount of flavor overall a great dish. This one my pasta was wayyyy over cooked. My veal was almost to sour, the sauce was watery and just not good. The waitresses have always been less than pleasant, the butternut squash has a chemical artificial flavor, the baked octopus appetizer was literally boiled into a rubbery tentacle, and places on the plate without an ounce of seasoning to be found. Lastly, the bolognese was served as a liquid stew with chunks of fatty meat amongst gummy, sticky pasta. Basically... unedible. The waitress seemed like she couldn't have cared less as we told her when she asked how it was and proceeded to give the bill without offering any type of compensation. So understanding that we are in the time of a global pandemic and that all restaurants are having difficulty with making every aspect of the "old way" work. I had made reservations for 8:15 and arrived 5 mins earlier to only have the person seating tell us they would text us. There was no place for anyone to sit while they waited so I guess the expectation is to wait in your car, well people were waiting all over the parking lot while cars were going in and out did not feel safe at all. After waiting 30 mins we finally were seated at 8:45. Upon being seated we were brought water and our server told us that she would be right back with bread, It took 15 mins for her to come back with bread and take our order. It is now 9 pm and we have been at the restaurant since 8:10. We waited fifteen mins now for our 4 sodas, and we receive them, while we ordered We were told that tonight they will be serving a house salad that was already prepared. At 9:30 Our waitress showed up with four small house salads never asking if anyone was allergic to anything our salad showed up with tomatoes on it which does not work for me. So instead of complaining I just didn't eat the salad. Finally at 9:45 PM Our dinner showed up at this point we have waited 1 hour and 30 mins. The food was good but to have a reservation and wait that long to finally eat I will say was not the highlight we were hoping for to make our Saturday night special, as we tried to celebrate a graduation and Father's Day. During the current restrictions at this time I cannot give pasta house five stars. I hope that once everything settles down and things get back to normal the pasta house will be back to great service as usual let me stage this is just my opinion as others may have found the service great. I found a long wait to eat and no attention to detail asking if anyone is allergic to anything to be fair from the normal pasta house standards in which I have come to love over the years. read more

Overrated. Been coming here for years and it's getting worse and worse. It's to the point now, that I don't think I'll go back. The food is so inconsistent. I've tried everything from steak to pizza to pasta. I would say, for what you get (quality more so than quantity) it's over priced. I truly don't understand how this place is always busy. Most recently got takeout, spent over $50 to get home and the order be wrong. After a 20 minute drive there and back, the last thing I want to do is call and have it corrected. Shouldn't have to for the type of restaurant it is. It's not McDonald's where you pay $6 a meal and they throw onions on by accident. Shame, I used to love it. They have work to do. read more

Have been going here for years, one of the best around. Only had one bad meal because the server put pepper instead of cheese by accident on my food. Only thing negative I can say is that they need to be better at handling larger parties, a number of occasions it seems the servers were overwhelmed but in the end they were always awesome. Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere. The Pasta House gives you the fine dining experience without the white tablecloths and a need to dress up in your classiest outfit. I got the stuffed filet mignon and without exaggeration this is the best meal I have had in years. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare and stuffed with fresh lobster and goat cheese. Absolutely to die for! And the sauce they put on top was the perfect topper to a perfect meal. For a desert I got the fried ice-cream, and this fried ball of deliciousness was so unreal, I don't even know how to explain it. Hands down the best desert I have ever had and this place is amazing. I'm from Dartmouth MA and this was my first trip to the Pasta House ever and I can happily say that I'll be making that 15 minute trip to this place every chance I get. I ordered the Fruiti De Mar, hubby ordered the Portuguese Steak Pizza other orders included Tips Gorgonzola, Chicken Parmigiana, Chicken Picatta, Ciopini, Kobe beef Meatballs with Rigatoni, Bourbon style Tenderloin tips with mashed potatoes & asparagus, cheese pizza, Butternut Squash Ravioli witch was a hit for my 14yr old cousin she loved it, amongst other meals... for dessert we had a variety the Decadence flowerless chocolate cake, Canolli's, Pot de Le Creme "Dorothy Cox Chocolate pudding", the cookie sundae for 2, and Fried Ice Cream, along with other desserts... Everything was perfect! For me, the texture of the pasta is what makes the difference. Rather than substituting ziti, which I find to be one of the most boring pastas, they should have asked. Over the last few months we have ordered the Buffalo Chicken pizza four times. The first time it was AWESOME. Perfect amount of crunchy chicken pieces, sriracha sauce and blue cheese and the crust was amazing. The second time it was MEH, barely any chicken, the sriracha sauce drizzled sparingly and barely any blue cheese but the crust was still good. Third time was similar to the first time we had it which is why we ordered again tonight. Tonight was AWFUL. There were huge pieces of soggy chicken, wayyyy too much sauce and the crust is completely different, don't know if the dough was overworked or what.......but it is terrible. Very disappointing, consistency in your product should be a priority. We won't be ordering again :( read more
