Review for Lavender NitroCold Brew: Glad I went with a barista recommendation of trying the lavender Nitro Brew with oat milk. Yes, apparently oat milk is the next big thing. And it's so good and creamy. Disclaimer, my regular are lattes iced, think iced caramel macchiato sweet. The Nitro cold brew is much creamer than the regular cold brew that they have ready-made. It also packs more caffeine than a latte. It comes straight from a tap, creamy and cold. I like my coffee sweet so I did add some agave. Not sure if that took away from the flavor at all, hard to believe as it was just so good and flavorful. read more

I would love to have experienced a coffee here. However the manager is not very accommodating to cash customers. I was turned away and was not able to purchase a bag of coffee beans and enjoy an espresso. My guess is the owner will read this and have to retrain their staff at this point. Definitely not good business to turn away customers. Cash is not extinct yet. read more

If you were disappointed to see this location change to yet another coffee spot, there's no need to worry, the coffee is still very good. While it may not be Hidden House good, it's still up there. They offer a much larger selection of drinks and pastries than the previous shop, including a rose latte which is unlike anything I've ever tasted. The inside didn't change much other than some new and welcoming paint colors and a bit of rearranging. The staff is extremely friendly and truly seem to care about what they're doing. I'm very happy that my favorite coffee location in this area is still in good hands. Give them a chance, I guarantee you won't be disappointed. read more

This is a really nice independent coffee house in Lake Forest. I usually get the Mexican spice latte and it's amazing! Like a recent review, the coffee was good, but the service was lacking. I got a 20oz mocha frappe and it took a while to make. On top of that, it was served with no whipped cream. I thought maybe I am the one that puts it on, but couldn't find it anywhere. I have never had a frappe served without whipped cream, so it definitely came to me as a shock. Stumbled across this place while my dad was getting a haircut and I am so glad I did! The staff are friendly and nice and the coffee is great and smooth! I got the lavender cold brew and it was the perfect combination of coffee and lavender flavour. Neither flavour was overpowering the other. Since it is a seasonal item, try coming here in the summer so you can try it for yourself! I wish they had this drink year round! I found this gem of a coffee shop on yelp. Portola coffee is all too far from me now that I've moved so I thought I would explore my surroundings. This coffee shop reminded me of the once lil bookstore that was in West Hollywood also called Bodhi Bookstore and had a lil coffee shop on the side which I believe was Urth cafe. Anyways back to Bodhi Coffee in Lakeforest. There is parking available shared with the other business in the mall. Home Depot is next door by the way. There is seating available if you wanna hang out or study. the several times I've been here there is not one empty chair or spot. My favorite drink thus far is the Rose and Lavender latte. Yum Yum Yum and I love how they add a lil bit of art to the latte with the milk/foam. To me it means they made it with love. They offer a variety of pastries and other drinks depending on your preference. Overall, I enjoy driving 13 minutes out of the way for a lil piece of that lavender latte. This space has changed names/businesses several time in the last 10 years and I wasn't really sure what to expect but I had to give it a shot. What this place lacks in ambiance it makes up for in coffee quality. I wouldn't recommend going in and sitting around since it's pretty boring inside but the coffee is VERY good. I had a lavender latte which was pretty much perfect. The coffee is rich and not bitter or burnt and the milk was frothed to perfection! They are not fast (think Portola coffee speed) but good coffee isn't and it's worth the wait. The baked goods look ok but not much was left at 5pm when I went in so I'll have to come back in the early afternoon to check them out. Glad I came in...I'll be back to get some whole bean coffee for home when I'm out! read more

The ambience in the shop was very chill and it's perfect to study in. The hazelnut latte I ordered was great! It wasn't overly sweet and it tasted good but I couldn't really taste the hazelnut. I first discovered Bodhi at the location in Orange on Katella Ave. This is where I had my very first French press coffee, and the rest is history. Bodhi has some really great coffee, and the selections are eclectic and vast. We discovered this location recently, and found it very enjoyable. The venue is pretty comfortable and a nice layout to come and enjoy some of their coffee, or to study. The staff are always really friendly, so kudos to the team! The coffee choices are always great, so that's something I definitely appreciate. I will say that the location in Orange is bigger and more accommodating for more guests. But you definitely won't be disappointed at this location! Definitely recommend. read more

Meh. Idk what happened here. I can't have sugar for health reasons and I asked the person at the register whether the lavender latte has sugar. She told me it was impossible to get it w/o sugar. So I proceeded down the list, to all - i was told the same thing. Finally, my friend (not the anyone employed here) suggested I get the matcha. I was told that also has sugar but they could make it w/o sugar. I got it iced w/ almond milk. There was no green color and it tasted like water. I wish the person at the register was more helpful instead of me having to go through the entire menu. We also got a chicken empanada. I like how it was doughy, but it left something to be desired...I've been told chimichurri sauce isn't traditionally eaten w/ empanadas in Argentina, but these weren't traditional anyway. Just some suggestions for you. I hope it helps others have a better experience. read more

My favorite coffee shop with the best-tasting coffee around! When my coffee is made correctly, it's mind-blowing! My only gripe is that it's not consistent. Most of the time, it's great. The last few times I have visited-my orders have been wrong (only received two drinks when I ordered and paid for three...when I asked for my third it couldn't be made due to the espresso machine being down...) and my coffee today was not good. Bummer when I'm paying $8 for a drink. The service is unfortunately pretty inconsistent as well. This is my favorite location of all the Bodhi's. Love their coffee, favorite is the cinnamon latte, not something you find at most coffee places. They don't have the big chunky tables and chairs like the other locations but instead more comfortable chairs with plenty of table space. There are some nice comfy arm chairs in two different corners. There is also a good amount of outdoor seating which orange and placentia don't have much of. read more

I used to go out of my way to stop at their Orange location so when this one opened I could not have been happier. They really take care of each beverage they make and the staff is always warm and friendly. They also support sustainability during non-pandemic times which is always a plus for me. I make my own coffee at home, so I really only come here to purchase their bags of coffee beans. I'm not a coffee connoisseur by any means so I like to just try random bags and taste the subtle differences between all the different varieties they have. That said, every bag of coffee I've purchased has been delicious, whether it be light, medium, or dark roast, and from all different regions or blends. I haven't had a single one I didn't enjoy. They run about $18-$20 a bag, which is higher than you'd pay for say, Peet's at the grocery store, but I like that I know these are freshly roasted and sourced responsibly, plus, in my opinion, they taste better. Everyone I've made coffee for has shared the same sentiments. Decor is nice and there's plenty of natural light. The space is open and would be a nice place to spend a few hours and get some work done. All the staff are super friendly and helpful. I always have a positive experience when I drop by here. read more
