It's a little difficult for me to keep going if each time I'm hoping the drink doesn't taste different this time around. I did hear this same complaint about this location and that the location in Orange/Anaheim is much better so maybe I'll give that location a try one of these days. Service is always a hit or miss for me. Sometimes I'm greeted by friendly baristas and sometimes I'm "greeted" by snobby ones so again, it's hard for me to keep coming back. Delicious rose latte with oat milk. I asked for less sweet which means less rose syrup. The rose wasn't overpowering due to the earthiness of the coffee roast and the creaminess of the oat milk. Once I let the latte cool a bit more, the rose taste was more apparent and I enjoyed it more then. The interior is interesting by letting you know that they are Farm to Cup, but also a lot of their merch along the walls. They sell a variety of coffee beans that sound so delicious, but the price keeps me from committing to a bag. (Note: time to see if they do coffee tastings or some coffee 101 workshop. If they do, I would sign up.) Unfortunately, due to COVID, no indoor seating now, but I think chilling inside would be a peaceful experience although it was a bit dim with the balance of the lower lighting and the wooden walls. read more

I love this place so much. They remember your name, they have so many options, gluten-free, vegan, tea, coffee.. you name it. I miss the music nights and precious pre Covid experience but it's such a hidden gem in Mission Viejo! I can't stand coffee and they brew it so smoothly. The rose latte, with oat milk and honey.. holy grail. The owner is seriously one of the most kind people I've ever met. She's so sweet, thankful for business & a very hard worker behind the counter. The other staff is genuinely kind as well. It's not some fake hipster place, it's calm, relaxed, great atmosphere, ambiance & honestly just good food and drinks. I found this gem of a coffee shop on yelp. Portola coffee is all too far from me now that I've moved so I thought I would explore my surroundings. This coffee shop reminded me of the once lil bookstore that was in West Hollywood also called Bodhi Bookstore and had a lil coffee shop on the side which I believe was Urth cafe. Anyways back to Bodhi Coffee in Lakeforest. There is parking available shared with the other business in the mall. Home Depot is next door by the way. There is seating available if you wanna hang out or study. the several times I've been here there is not one empty chair or spot. My favorite drink thus far is the Rose and Lavender latte. Yum Yum Yum and I love how they add a lil bit of art to the latte with the milk/foam. To me it means they made it with love. They offer a variety of pastries and other drinks depending on your preference. Overall, I enjoy driving 13 minutes out of the way for a lil piece of that lavender latte. Every time I've ever ordered anything from this place it has been met with nothing but tender loving care, attention to detail, and true professionalism from everyone that works there. This place employs skilled and polite individuals. There's so much more than people think that goes into a perfect latte. Specifically when you get into specialty ones like holiday and alternative Dairy use. This place has the only Cask cold brew that I will drink. I've been a fan of Bodhi since my first visit and I've been to a bunch of locations across the OC, never had a bad coffee or a bad experience. But I have to say, my experience at this location was so positive that it compelled me to leave a review. The coffee is always top notch. Seriously, if you've never had--you need to try it. You'll never go back to Starbucks. But what made this visit really special was the workers. Everyone was so overwhelmingly nice that it made me want to drive out here (I live 30 min away) again soon. Even with face masks on, behind a plexiglass wall, in the midst of a pandemic, every worker went out of their way to welcome me so warmly. I'm very grateful for such a positive experience and for the staff at this location for being so kind to me - just any other customer - for no reason other than that's how they do their job. Great location for the people working at the businesses around Lake Forest, parking can get kind of tricky in the lot because it does share the location with many other restaurants and stores. Bodhi is already relatively well known in Orange for having great quality coffee and the pricing can get similar to LA coffee. However, for the price you do get the quality and service. I usually only buy the nitro 20 oz coffee here ($4.95) and it never disappoints. They do make a variety of drinks including blended / fraps. The inside area is spacious and include four single couch seatings and small tables. The lady behind the counter was extremely friendly and patient (indecisive customers will take a while but she's willing to explain any menu items before they finalize a decision). Also, Starbucks won't serve a nitro cold brew above 16 oz, but Bodhi goes up to 24-30 oz. No such thing as too much? Worth a visit, great place to just chill, and good coffee and service. read more

Some weekends, I have to work from home and when I do, I treat myself to a a caramel latte from Bodhi. I always enjoy the lattes here. Usually, I also get the little packaged caramel waffles with my latte. Today, I wanted to be healthy so I tried the avocado toast. I think the avocado toast missed the mark a little. It was a little sour for my taste but overall, this is a great spot. The service is also great. Pre- covid, I would sit at one of their tables and work while sipping on some iced latte. Fantastic coffe and fantastic people. I have been going to Bodhi Leaf for over five years. The enitre staff is extremely friend, conversational and kind. So much so, I would even call some of them friends at this point. Now I'm going to sound like I'm exaggerating when I say this, but I think hands down they have the best cold brew of any coffee shop I've been to. I'm known by all my friends as being a cold brew snob and in my many years of traveling and trying different coffee shops around the country, none have come close in taste to what Bodhi offers. I use to live five minutes away from this location, but in the last year moved about twenty minutes away... I still make this drive regulary just to get the coffee. Overall this location is great for reading, getting work done or just meeting someone to catch up. The staff makes every person feel like they're a regular, regardless of if it's your first or 100th time ordering. The coffee will never disappoint and if it somehow does, they are quicker than quick to make sure it's just how you like it. Thank you to Kelly and all of her staff here! I got the iced matcha dream with coconut milk and then the big bird sandwich and they were both sooo good!!! The workers were nice, atmosphere was chill and relaxed w lots of indoor/ outdoor seating. There's lots of food and drink options it's so nice. The sandwich was definitely worth the price as it had two big sourdough slices and a good amount of turkey on it. Yes! Love their lattes! Tried the lavender latte and rose latte here! Both real good, but definitely prefer the lavender!! Hot 16 oz $5.05, hot rose latte 16 oz $5.44 (this one was in a mug), iced 20 oz was $5.55. Also just picked up some espresso beans for my friend- 1lb / 454 grams for $17.95. I usually don't prefer lavender drinks, since it can be too floral, but this one has a great, subtle, sweet taste! Their coffee smells so good in here too! I have been studying and doing some work sometimes and the environment is nice with lots of tables and chairs. There are outlets available around too. All in all, I really taste the quality from their beans, since I see them bring new products in and out every time I come here. Hope they expand some locations to LA or San Gabriel valley area! They only have them around Orange County so far?? Will come back here or other locations when I can! read more

The employees, service, and atmosphere are 5 stars. The staff are kind, knowledgeable, and easy going. The atmosphere is relaxing and there is plenty of space to enjoy your coffee, have a conversation, or respond to your afternoon emails. The brewed coffee is really good 95% of the time and the last 5% it is still better than any other place in the area. Americanos, lattes, and cappuccinos are 3.75/5 stars compared to other craft coffee shops, but mind you they are still better than other places in the area and definitely beats Starbucks 10/10 times. You should definitely give this place a visit for its warm friendly staff and tasty coffee. You won't regret it! read more

Bodhi has a very inviting and warm atmosphere. The staff is a reflection of that. They provide good service and take the time to help you. I'm not a coffee drinker at all. Many are inquisitive on how I'm able to get through the day and the answer is willpower... and sleep of course. Cavemen didn't run on caffeine and they somehow managed. The barista was really patient with helping me with milk alternatives. I ordered the green tea latte and got it with almond milk. Most of the time, lattes make my stomach upset but I didn't get any discomfort. I really enjoyed it. It was creamy and smooth. It didn't taste like I was drinking straight up powdered matcha mixed with milk. Those end up leaving a weird aftertaste too but no worries Bodhi does you right. I'd say quality in a cup. I got take out a few weeks ago from here, one vanilla iced coffee. I said to the barista, that it was my first time coming here, and to please make it with a lot of cream, she looked at me like I was stupid. She said, in a condescending voice, that we don't put cream in it, I would do that!!! I was like "huh?!", I thought this was weird. She slid it to me black, barf! I tried to put some of your creamer in it, but your creamer container ran out. The coffee itself just tasted like vomit!!! I almost threw up in your trash can. I should have asked for a refund but, the barista was so rude, I didn't want to get barked at again. Seriously the worst coffee that I ever tried, I threw it away as soon as I got home. Gone are the days when employees dress and act like they are ready to take on the day with enthusiasm! They should drink some coffee before work, but not yours. Came here for the first time today. It's a really comfortable spot next to Home Depot. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Great service from Angela, Shannon, and Ben. I had a great vanilla frappe made with coconut milk- not too sweet topped with a great fresh whipped cream. My wife had an almond milk latte. She thought it was the best almond milk drink she's ever had. They're a roaster so they also have a great selection of fresh roasted beans for sale.
