We just ate at this restaurant, where they were only serving brunch. The brunch menu had about three actual Thai options on it. I chose to order one of them, which was a $7 hot and sour soup. It tasted okay, but to say the portion was small would be the understatement of the year. We spent almost $30 on "brunch" and left still hungry. In my opinion, this place is completely overpriced. We did have good service, but we were literally the only people in the restaurant, so I'm not sure if that would change on a crowded night. If you want good Thai food around, stick to Mai Thai on 378; that place is delicious and has the right prices! read more

With a warm welcome as you step into a charming bank building leading into a very fashionable destination dining room (need to replace a few light bulbs dude) with the actual money vault still in tact for the servers. Our server for dinner was none other than the dubiously famed "Joe Cool". He greeted us as well in his sophisticated but awesomeness manner then asked for drink orders to start the evening. Gold place settings adored the table which I must admit was a bit wobbly to the keen eye... another words our booze hadn't been delivered but I digress. Menu is the perfect size for the caliber restaurant but my only wish as a routine customer is for the Salmon to make a return engagement. Speaking of engagements, a very cute young couple celebrating their love and commitment to one another this spectacular evening made dining experience even more festive. Okay, let's get down to the main attractions, food, not just any food, but foodie food. The rib appetizers were mind blowing, then the mains from duck, seafood pasta, chicken, and fish were all creative and delightful home runs with very generous potions... remember it's fine dining folks. This is some serious upscale dining! Delicious food, exquisitely plated! We came here for a fancy night out and birthday celebration. It was a terrific night out, but not inexpensive. One shared appetizer, waters to drink (plus one beer), one soup, four entrees and three sides for a little over $150, makes this a special occasion sort of experience. The food was delicious, though a bit heavy on onions, and the ambiance was lovely. I do not recommend this restaurant at all. I normally enjoy the food and socializing with the staff here, but we came early to enjoy a dessert, and to say we were treated ungraciously would be generous. We were greeted tersely with "Reservations?" and the server was agitated from the beginning and while explaining to us that we had to choose a gelato to go with the taro custard, although we were kind toward her. She spoke down to us throughout our time there, in what would be best described as a snarl. There was no one else in the restaurant yet, and she said that was because "no one" was here this early and "everyone" would be coming by 7, so it was best to come early "to have the restaurant to ourselves." Also, I normally enjoy the taro custard, but its subtle flavor was drowned in the strawberry gelato. I am sad and disappointed because I constantly recommend this restaurant and say it has the best chef in the Midlands. And I am especially disappointed because we went to dinner nearby and then had dessert here, and were dressed casually, so the server treated us like trash because she thought we couldn't afford to eat there, and so we found out how she treats and thinks of poor people and those who she believes are of no consequence to her. We came here to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. The inside is very elegant and the staff was very kind. I ordered the pad thai but didn't really care for it. It didn't taste bad, I just didn't know it would be wrapped up in an omelet. The pineapple fried rice was amazing. This restaurant was excellent until they closed for several weeks for a "revamping of the menu." When it re-opened the entrees were new but everything had changed - staff, service and food quality. As others have said, the appetizers are still the same, but the new entrée items are simply not good. And service has fallen off a cliff. We've been there three times since the re-opening and each time the food was average at best, and the service was poor. We had a party of six for each visit, and each time our food arrived at different times - so half of us ate while the others waited on their entrées (your other option would be allowing the food that arrived to get cold). Last night we decided to give this restaurant one more try. When we arrived, we were told that they had lost their liquor license and that we should have been told this when making our reservation. I'm not sure any owner would advertise this, so I doubt anyone was told while making a reservation. The food wasn't great and the kitchen service was the same (our waiter was excellent). Sadly, this will be our last visit. I cannot think of another example of a restaurant imploding as this one has. read more

My wife and I went to Bodhi last night with another couple, our best friends. We had reservations and we were greeted and seated almost immediately. This being Friday night, I was rather surprised that they were not a little more crowded than what we went into. Our server was extremely helpful and nice. I/ we don't know a lot about Thai food so her knowledge was wonderful. I had a Thai beer that I will Be finding the name of because it was recommended and I absolutely loved it. We went during Restaurant Week as we do every year to try different places. Our appetizers were on point. I had the baby back ribs and they fell off of the bone! Delicious. Everyone else was happy with their's too. My entree was the salmon and once again, delicious. The others either got chicken or one the basil crusted pork chops. He thought the basil was just "too much" and when I tried a little bit of it, had to agree. Overall? We had a great dining experience. The spacing of the dishes was a little off at times. As a group, we like to have all of our food come at the same time. To have one or two people have their food come and the other ones wait is just not done. All of our desserts came except for one which was quite a while behind the rest. The restaurant itself is a former bank building that I used to do business in. They have done a nice job on turning it into a place you can go and eat and relax. Give them a chance. The food is delicious. Do be careful when asked about how hot you want your food. My husband and I visited last Friday when Bodhi was featuring their 3 course "Restaurant Week" menu. We had previously visited over a year prior and were looking forward to another great experience... however we were SORELY DISAPPOINTED. It started off great. We were seated a few minutes before our 8pm reservation in a cozy corner table, ordered drinks and then our selections for the 3 courses. And then we waited and waited and waited and waited some more... I mean we WAITED... It was close to 9pm by the time we received our first course, the appetizers (ribs and toong tong). At this point we were starving and enthusiastically dug in... except the food wasn't hot... it wasn't even warm. I understand that the chef personally plates each dish. I understand that it was a busy Friday night. And the presentation of the dishes were beautiful but I waited almost an hour to receive food that had clearly been sitting around somewhere in the kitchen. I expect hot fresh food, especially if I wait that long. It was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING. The rest of the meal was ho hum because the night had been spoiled. The flavors were good but there is no excuse for serving room temperature food, especially when Bodhi advertises "fine dining," "world class cuisine" and "excellent standards."
