8/22/2025 First time at Boichik Bagels. Came here on a Friday before noon. I've read not-so-favorable reviews on Yelp beforehand, so I came in thinking that the bagels were not gonna be good. But I was wrong. Pumpernickle Bagel - Ate it untoasted. Deep robust pumpernickle flavor. The bagel was already sliced in half when I received it. Top half bagel is soft and has a slight chew. The bottom half of the bagel was slightly denser, yet the bottom bagel had ground up seeds in it, which gave it more texture. I tore pieces of the bagel and dipped it in Chives Cream Cheese. Then added some thinly sliced, mild salami that I got from Sprouts Farmers Market, which added a salty, sweet, fatty porky goodness to it and it was the best girl dinner! Chives Cream Cheese - Got 1/2 pint cream cheese. Soft fluffy creamy cream cheese. Chives flavor was there but not overwhelming. It had a nice creamy balance. They didn't say, but I think it's whipped cream cheese and this was really good! Really loved the soft creamy texture! The Classic - Nova Lox, Chive CC, Capers, Red Onion, and Tomato. Got this on toasted Everything Bagel. They did not skimp out on the filling! It was packed! Everything was delicious! Although personally the smoked salmon could have been cut a bit thinner. Also, it was a bit mushy for my taste. But the overall assemblage of the bagel was delish! The bagel itself was "toasted", but there was no crunch. It just tasted like it was dried out a bit on the outside. Not sure why they even call it toasted. Overall, it was a good bagel sandwich. The flavor of the Everything Bagel was good, but honestly the sandwich fillings masked the overall bagel flavor. I think this bagel would have been good with the pumpernickel bagel as well, although I haven't tried it as a sandwich yet. Customer Service - Only three people were working there. One at the front, two others making sandwiches. I got the last Everything Bagel and I requested it to be untoasted, but they accidentally toasted it. So they asked me if that was okay. It told them it was fine and I did not mind. Glad they told me. Overall everyone working there were patient and helpful, even though the lines were starting to form. Seats - It was super hot outside today. 103-106 degrees today! Yet there were no indoor seats. Only outdoor seats! There were many tables and seats though. But no matter how hungry I am, I'll gladly eat in my air conditioned car. Bathroom - One bathroom in the back. It was one large unisex bathroom. It was clean, even though it was an old building and an old bathroom. At the very least it was a roomy bathroom that was clean and not smelly. After my bagel experiences here, I'm willing to return and try other bagels. Want to try their sweet bagel, as I did pass up their strawberry cream cheese. Yes, they're not superior bagels in comparison to NY bagels, but my overall experience was still good and that's good enough for me.

Great bagels, friendly staff! Stopped in this morning to celebrate national bagel day and was instantly hit with the amazing aroma of freshly baked bagels. I got an everything bagel with chive cream cheese and got the "not melt" tuna bagel! I'm from NY so I definitely appreciate a good bagel! Bagels were fresh and tasty. Everything is very well priced as well. Also they just started serving matcha!! The manager was very friendly and helpful in suggesting some items for me to try.

Yum these bagels are so good! I came by a weekend morning with a friend. Parking was... challenging lol. But that's what you get for being in this area. Allow for some time to find a spot. Eventually I found a metered spot on the main street. I got the eggything bagel lightly toasted with chive vegan cream cheese and lox. It was ready pretty quickly. I thought it was so good! I also was impressed by the vegan cream cheese (they use Kite Hill), it tasted like the real deal. The bagel itself was so tasty too. I'm usually not a huge bagel person but I really loved it! Great spot.

Decent bagel spot in East LA. I visited this bagel spot for brunch on a Saturday and it was decently busy. I really liked the concept of building your bagel sandwich which was unique. They also had a menu of pre-selected bagel sandwiches which was a good option for people who wanted a recommended combo. I ended up getting the Classic Boichik Sammy which was decent. Even though I requested for my bagel sandwich to be toasted, it didn't feel like that upon receiving my sandwich and my other friends felt the same about their sandwiches. The exterior of mine was slightly heated, but the bagel itself was on the tougher and chewier side which I didn't prefer. It felt like the bagel wasn't fresh. The fillings were pretty good though. I liked how they gave a good portion of the yummy lox. The cream cheese was creamy and flavorful and I also liked the freshness and tanginess of the capers. I wish there was more onions though. I also liked the thick pieces of heirloom tomato used in the sandwich. For $16, this wasn't a bad price considering other places in LA with the same type of bagel sandwich. This shop also has a nice outdoor seating area which is mostly shaded. A good spot to relax and enjoy a bagel sandwich. The service was also pretty good. Overall, an okay experience here. I'm ranking this as mid mostly because of the bagel itself which is the main product of a bagel shop. I wish they had served me a fresh bagel that was warm and had good textures.

Visited this place almost a year ago decided to leave a review nly today Boichik has that small neighborhood bagel shop feel that's getting harder to find. Cozy place, friendly staff, pleasant customers, simple setup -- overall just a nice vibe. There's a big selection and all the classic bagel combinations are there. Nothing overly complicated, just solid bagels and toppings. Also the smell of fresh bagels when you walk in is honestly one of the best parts. I ordered the pastrami bagel. The only funny thing was my pastrami seemed to be swimming somewhere near Alaska, but I still liked it overall. Coffee was good too, although I wish the cup was bigger. Prices felt a little high, but at the same time I understand it's probably not easy running a small neighborhood business these days. Overall, really pleasant place with a cozy local feel.

First time at Boichik Bagels. Saw this place in my social media feed and decided to check it out while we were in the area. The store has a nice clean blue and white aesthetic with outdoor seating. There's also metered parking out front. I got the everything bagel toasted with plain cream cheese. I'm no expert but I thought it was good. The bagel itself was nicely seasoned and toasted yet soft on the inside. The staff was friendly and quick. Would come here again to try the other options available.

    welcome to boichik bagels.

As a NYorker on a self-imposed exile, I am ebullient to encounter something that reminds me of home....bagel! Without further ado let's begin this review. Boichik Bagels (est 2025) is a new SF based bagel shop that specializes in making and selling bagels. They are located on Hollywood blvd and Vermont ave l in Los Feliz. I arrived as a first time customer and as soon as you stepped inside you can smell the aroma of bagels being made in their huge oven. This shop offer 16 variety of bagels ($3.25 each) and 13 spreads ($1.5-$2.50) for their customers. In addition, they have coffee, fish & salad, specials and veggies as well as some merch. I had a Cinnamon bagel with strawberry jam and plain cc and an Iced Coffee. Both food and drink were decent in texture and quality. I wish it would blow my palate but sadly it did not. Furthermore, it's quite disappointing they don't have a Strawberry cream cheese on their list. That in itself is a downside, however, they make it up with other specials. Every NYorker expect that a bagel store should have that type of spread. So I improvised with what they have. Anyways, the shop's interior and exterior layout were spacious with a relaxing atmosphere. Staff, Paul E., was cordial and professional. Prices seem reasonable. Finding a parking spot was easy. Overall, this is a decent bagel shop; honestly it ain't the same as NY bagel. That's the hard truth ladies and gents.

Went here for the first time & had the classic. I thought it was delicious and packed to the brim. Expensive though. About $20 for the bagel. There's street parking and paid parking around. It wasn't very busy when went so I sat outside and that was a nice thing for a Sunday morning. I would come back and try some of their other bagels!

Coming all the way from New York, just felt missed out for not trying. Having it on my list for awhile, and coincidentally realized last weekend that the matcha place I went was just in the same block. Pretty catchy with its bold blue color, the place just couldn't let itself be missed. It's less than an hour from their closing time, hence they're sold out of lots of stuffs on the menu. Not hindering me from trying, I went for their Pumperthingle bagel, which was them of marrying pumpernickel and everything bagel (how genius!). Doubtlessly, giving a try on their Pink cream cheese, recommended as it's more tangy and apparently one of their popular one even in NYC. Ordering online was surely recommended to skip the line. Mine was ready in less than 10 minutes. I had mine toasted, and would say it's decent but I couldn't call out anything distinctive from other favorite ones in town, either the bagel or the cream cheese. I added almond butter on my bagel and felt that I should've requested it on the side as I could barely taste it and it's kinda pricey adding $2 for the quantity. Overall would say worth trying if you're curious. Plus point they had plenty of seats in front of the outlet, which most of my other favorite bagel places in town didn't really serve.

I ordered an everything bagel with chive cream cheese, tomato, & cucumber. Service was fast from ordering to receiving my food. The bagels seem to be baked a little more (a bit more darker color on the outside) which I like! They put a good amount of cream cheese on & the veggies were fresh. There is plenty of covered patio seating & dog friendly. Parking- street parking or metered street parking

We were looking forward to trying Boichik. They took over the old Umami Burger space on Hollywood blvd. So went on a recent Sunday morning. It was pretty busy.. I ordered "The Classic" to share with my son; Nova Lox, chive cream cheese, tomato, red onion and capers on a toasted onion bagel. It was good but not quite great. The toppings were ice cold so it took away from warmth of the toasted bagel. Still, pretty tasty but just a bit messy to eat. We wondered if they might serve bagels open faced as that might be a nice option. My wife got a toasted sesame bagel with the Hatch Chile cream cheese on the side. Nice. The coffee was ok and we passed on the OJ as it was just Tropicana.. All in all, it was nice to have a decent bagel close to home. The service was friendly and fairly quick. 7.5/10 But, Courage Bagels is still a perfect 10/10 and worth the drive, the wait and the expense. Belle's Bagels is also quite good. 8/10

The staff is a vibe for sure. Super friendly and efficient. Fast and scrumptious lol... got the pumpernickel caraway salt with pink cream cheese, toasted. Yup!

Sweet crew!! Delish bagels great vibes and location. We got the classic bagels with lox and got a side of white fish (also amazing) PLEASE do urself a favor and get the vanilla matcha with cold foam. It tasted like a vanilla bean ice cream matcha and it blew my mind!!!

To end the night before we headed off to dinner, we stopped by The Semi- Tropic bar for drinks. The parking situation was difficult to say the least-- there is no street parking or parking lot. And the neighborhood behind the bar is filled with park cars. We were lucky and parked at a parking lot that was for the surrounding business (so sorry to the pizza/ weed shop!). We arrived at around 6:30 PM so it wasn't too busy. We were greeted by one of the servers and she gave us options to either sit at a lounge table area or hightop tables. We opted for the hightop tables because we knew we weren't staying there for long. The server was friendly and patient as we looked over the menu for drinks. I've been sober for about a year so I only had water, my boyfriend ordered a Naoshima Dream, his cousin ordered a Mango Cart, and his cousin's girlfriend ordered a Lemon Drop Martini. The bar was super cute and hipster! I honestly would have loved going to this bar back when I used to drink. It's dimly lit, had a vintage 20's speakeasy feel to it and the music was a vibe. I'd recommend coming here for a little date with your partner or even coming with a group of friends. My boyfriend had been here once before and he said the food was really good and affordable. He had a panini and said for bar food it was a 10/10. We waited maybe like 10 minutes for our drinks to come, we were having such a fun time chatting and enjoying the environment that it didn't feel long at all. My boyfriend, his cousin, and his cousin's girlfriend really enjoyed their drinks. They said the drinks tasted "light" insinuating that there was barely any alcohol in it. Don't let the taste fool you, after finishing half of their drink there were full of smiles, giggles, and had a great buzz going. The prices here were all pretty fair for the cost and quality of the drinks. Would defintely recommend coming here for drinks and dinner for a date night or a night out with friends!

It looks like a typical trendy coffee shop, which I'm not mad about, but I feel like you'd only know to come here for lunch if someone told you about it beforehand. I ordered the turkey avocado sandwich. Pro tip: the lunch menu starts at 10:30 a.m. The sandwich didn't look like much at first, but one bite in and I was sold. It has all the basics you'd want in a turkey avocado sandwich, but what really stood out were the generous portions. They definitely don't skimp on the ingredients. The real star, though, was the aged balsamic glaze. Whatever magical concoction they're using, it adds the perfect amount of sweetness and ties everything together. I know some people don't like sweet elements in their sandwiches, but that's their loss and more for me. It was absolutely delicious. The space itself has plenty of seating and is great whether you're looking to get some work done, catch up with a friend, or just enjoy your meal and coffee. My only heads-up is parking. It was a bit of a struggle. I had to circle the block a few times because most of the available spots were 15-minute parking, and the street is busy enough that turning around isn't always easy. Overall, this is definitely a spot I'll be bringing friends to for a casual lunch date. The sandwich alone is worth the visit.

This place is comically bad, like a parody of bad. Literally every aspect of our experience was…read morebad, and we seem to like most restaurants. Both times the waitstaff were strangely rude, like remarkably unfriendly, and hard to get a hold of. The entrees we ordered were oddly small portions, like bizarro small. And for being kinda pricy and so small, the food was just okay. And the atmosphere was not good either! It was cold, with all the doors open, and the music was so loud we could barely hear each other. I really wanted to like it, how nice to have a Lebanese place close to my house, and returned thinking maybe it was a fluke the first time.
