The mussels by the pound (I didn't take a good picture of them while we were eating)
Nancy O.

The restaurant is small but they sure do put out some great food !!! Service was great, she covered our table which turned out to be a great idea !!! We ordered fried oysters, and fish and chips (both came with fries which you can have plain or cajun style !) we ordered one plain one Cajun . Then we got an order of one pound of mussels , they come with Cajun sauce or the garlic butter sauce or the two mixed together!! We choose the garlic butter Cajun sauce. When I said it the server taking the order said "good choice" and she was right !!!!! Not gonna lie the sauce is a little messy (they do provide gloves and a bib) but so DELICIOUS!!!!!! So good !!!

Had a craving for Cajun shrimp and this place did not disappoint. For being delivered it was so fresh and still warm. I'm giving a 4 star just because the only thing I did not like was the corn, it was pretty bland. The shrimp and fries on the other hand SO GOOD!!! I asked for extra sauce in the bag and it was so flavorful and juicy!

Regular spice level

Surprised to find such a gem! Clean and casual environment. Had regular spice level seasoning: crab, shrimp, clams, mussels, sausage, corn and mini potatoes mixd in bag and served up on butcher paper on table. Made to order fresh - not too salty - was flavorful and delicious. Had w side of rice and also some ramen noodles. Put on the bib and gloves they give you and dive in. Appreciate the thoughtful details! Courteous staff. Will be back to try some of the plates.

First time visitor Located in a small strip lot Plenty of parking Indoor dining yes No outdoor dining Order in or to go DoorDash had a special upon ordering for picking or delivery Clean interior, one main dining area, 5-7 tables at most? Greeted upon arrival to pick up order The gal confirmed the order placed and name on order Piping hot, came with utensils, smelled great, and lemon wedges served on the side Order 1/2 shrimp head on and 1/2 mussels and 5 potato (shy of 25 after my damage) with all the sauces mild It's not as saucy as other places but garlic loaded which I love and Cajun tang Mussels were cooked properly but didn't necessarily absorb the flavor and watch out for many cracked mussels shells Potato were tender and boiled and as it sat in the sauce more became tastier Shrimp with head on meaty cooked perfectly easy to peel Would come back. Pricing similar to other locations. Different lunch specials. Seafood boil hit the crave. Seems easy for Togo, solo dining, family Dining, date nite

i was craving seafood boil and i decided to give this place a try because people on tiktok hyped it up. we got 1lb crawfish 1lb shrimp and added corn & potatoes. we started with an order of the cajun fries and they were cooked perfectly. the fries are thick cut with a light crunch and not too much seasoning. the seafood was cooked perfectly as well. this is the first place ive been to where the crawfish shell was soft and easy to peel. even the claws came out easily. the sauce they make is on the sweeter side so keep that in mind. overall, i really enjoyed the food and i will definitely come back here.

My family and I went to Boil Daddy last night after not being able to find any places that could sit the 6 of us without a wait for dinner. My friend recommended this place to me a while ago, and I'm glad I finally went! We were not disappointed at all! Everything was priced very fairly, the seafood tasted fresh, and everything was delicious! You pay for everything first, and then you are able to seat yourself. It's a standard seafood boil restaurant where there is paper on the table and you eat right on it. I also loved that they give you gloves in addition to the bib! Our food came out fairly fast, and the workers were all very friendly. I would definitely recommend to anyone in the area :)

This place is awesome and fantastic! Owner was very kind and friendly also seafood was so fresh! My wife said she will be addicted to Boil daddy Stanton! She might be visit this place within this week again!

came here for the 2 lbs for $25 seafood boil! really good deal for sharing with someone else…read more we ordered the: * shrimp seafood boil - ordered with full house sauce, mild spice, and added white rice. i typically get spiced out easily and, mild wasn't too spicy. will try medium spice next time. * cajun fries - pretty tasty and had a nice crunch. came with chipotle mayo and ketchup. * soju - our server let us know about the buy 2 soju and get 1 free deal, so we got peach, green grape, and plum. it was good enough for 4 people. we came on a tuesday night and there was no wait. they gave us gloves and bibs. plenty of seating available. clean bathroom.

I came here for 2 reasons: 2lbs for $20 and $1 soju shots. Pirate's Kitchen did not disappoint!…read more 2lbs of head-on shrimp for $20 is a great deal for seafood boils in this area. It;s also just a pretty good quality seafood boil as well. The shrimp was well cooked, and everything was flavorful but not salty. I do think that the deal is now $25 for 2lbs, but that is still cheaper than most places around. I added sausage, corn, and potatoes, and my party of two was full. I also super enjoy the $1 shots of soju. It's 6 shots max per person, but that puts you at a nice buzz for your meal. You can also opt for their Buy 2 Bottles Get The 3rd Bottle Free deal, which would be nice if you have a bigger party.  The service here was super nice, and there wasn't a long wait at all. I would highly recommend this spot if you want to have a good time and eat good food. It will be messy, but it'll be worth it!

It's my go to seafood restaurant in Gardena, I'm glad I found this location in cypress. Everything was soo delicious and worth the price! The ambiance is casual and plenty of seatings! This location is huge! They have cute beach vibes inside! Good for any type of parties or celebrations. Service is amazing! Everyone was friendly. The server Sheena was very nice, helpful and recommended us the best deals! We came in an hour before they close and really appreciate her taking care of us! Crab shack is my favorite place and my go to if I'm craving seafood boil! Their crab shack style sauce is super delicious! I got mild because it can get really spicy. The flavors are definitely hitting! The portion is definitely good for sharing! I love the appetizer and other main dishes. Soo many options to choose from you definitely won't get bored! The clam chowder , fried oysters with fries and garlic noodles definitely complimented well with the 3lbs shrimp we got! I also got pina colada to balance the taste and it's very refreshing! We definitely left feeling full, satisfied and happy! I will definitely comeback to this place and recommend this to my friends and family!

We came here on Good Friday evening, after leaving another seafood boil spot(they had a long wait)…read more We were seated after a few minutes, and orders placed about 815pm. We got the combo #2 which came with your choice of head on shrimp, clams and crab (snow crab). We got the crab shack house sauce with medium spicy. All this seafood is steamed in a bag, comes with corn, potatoes and sausage pieces. Everything was quite tasty. The fries are crispy and had a generous cheese sprinkle of Parmesan. Sweet potato fries also taste great. Be prepared to dig in with bare hands - they do provide thin gloves and disposable bibs. I got steamed rice but maybe didn't need it. The one pound peeled shrimp in garlic butter no spice was quite tasty. The three servers were completely slammed. But they did keep things running well- between taking orders to each table, & serving refills , bussing tables and closing out bills. Communal sink for washing. I think part of etiquette is to NOT rinse out your mouth here. It's used by everyone after all. I do wish the floor was was in better condition - it's a bit rough uneven and slippery.

Great customer service, great food, great vibes, and tons of space. This is a huge location with…read morefriendly and attentive staff who are always checking on you, even while you're playing pool, which I really appreciate. One of the biggest things for me is the space. When you're playing pool, you actually have room to move around unlike a lot of bars where you feel cramped. I also like that they have full size pool tables. Since I'm a bit taller, it just makes the whole experience of playing pool that much better. There's regular events and even a pool league on Tuesday nights, so there's always something going on. If you are not familiar with Garden Grove, this place is definitely a hidden gem. The food is top notch, but honestly the ambiance is what sets it apart from your average billiards bar. It is extremely clean, which is important to me, and there's plenty of space between you and other people whether you are playing pool or sitting down to eat. It really does feel like a playground for adults in the best way. I also like that it is family friendly. There's large tables that are perfect for crab boils and similar meals where they lay down wax paper and everyone can sit together and enjoy. When I was there, there was a group of kids celebrating a birthday, and at the same time there were adults playing pool and hanging out. The place is so big that it almost feels like there's separate areas for kids and adults, but it is all in one space and you do not even notice each other. That's how spacious it is. I have been here on Sunday afternoons, Tuesday evenings, and Friday nights, and it is always busy with great energy. The music selection is great too. And this next part is insane to me since I'm a huge fan of famous pool players. The legendary GOAT Efren Reyes is going to be there on April 26th playing pool and interacting with fans. I saw the flyer on the wall and immediately grabbed VIP tickets. I'll be lucky enough to say hi to him up close from the VIP section and watch him work his magic in person, which is just unreal to me. Definitely check out the Wharf, you won't regret it.

The restaurant was relatively empty when we went so we were seated immediately. There was only one man running around taking everyone order, but he was nice and attentive. The restaurant is spacious, there are also many pool tables on another half of the restaurant and bar seating. Now, the real deal is food. I have pretty high standard for seafood boil, and this did not meet that standard at all. However, it's all up to preference. Cajun seafood boil (we got crawfish): very bland. You can barely taste the Cajun. I like the punch of the savoriness of Cajun but this has barely any coating on the crawfish. It's not juicy, it's not marinated. The crawfish meat is also pretty bad, tasted close to spoil for some. I understand it's not seafood season, but I've been to other seafood places that can maintain their seafood quality even during off season, this is just not one of the places. Crawfish Mac n cheese: very cheesy, duh. But that's really it to it, not much flavor profile. Just cheese, Mac, and crawfish. And back with the dead dry crawfish that made it off putting. The Mac n cheese itself is pretty decent though, but don't expect a flavor explosion when eating it. Think of it like a dish for kids. Sweet potato fries: jyst my go to sides with my crawfish. It tasted like any sweet potato fries, yay!

First off, the food is incredible: * I ordered the Mardi Gras Pasta (shrimp, andouille sausage, chicken, mushrooms in a marinara cream sauce) and it was SO flavorful, rich, and perfectly balanced * I also tried the Pernod Shrimp Pasta, which was lighter but still packed with flavor from the garlic, basil, white wine, and tomatoes * I also got to try some of my friend's seafood boil and it was delicious! Super flavorful without being overwhelming, which I really appreciated * I have to talk about the beignets... because WOW! They were better than Disneyland's (lol). Perfectly soft, warm, and just chef's kiss You can really tell everything is made fresh and with care. Portions were super filling and the presentation was honestly gorgeous! We had a group of 12 people and we booked their special events room and it was SUCH a fun experience. It had karaoke, TVs, a pool table, and a super cute backdrop! It was perfect for a group hangout or celebration. What made the night even more special was celebrating my birthday there! The team surprised me with a dessert (ice cream with fried bananas!) which was such a sweet and memorable touch. The vibe and ambiance overall was amazing! I'd 100% recommend this place for a group dinner or romantic date night to have your boyfriend peel your shrimps for you LOL. Service was outstanding, especially considering how busy it was. Huge shoutout to Christian, Nathan, Nathan, and Christine for taking such great care of our big group. They were all so friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Yes, the wait was a bit longer since it was a busy night, but honestly the quality of the food and service made it completely worth it. You can really feel the love behind this place being family-owned, and it shows in both the food and the service!
