We have patronized this location since they opened. Tonight i was running late for work so i stopped in at 9:15pm and they close at 10. Food has always been ready and service always prompt. I was told I'd have have to wait for my food to be cooked and it would be at least 10 mintues because their policy is now anything after 9pm is cooked to order. I'm confused as to why it's 6:30am and their doors are locked, drive through is telling me they're closed, and the people working inside are all staring at me when the drive through prompt said they open at 5:30am every day. I've heard nothing but good things about Bojangles and their breakfast sandwiches, biscuits, and hashbrowns. So today I decided to give it a whirl and I was absolutely blown away. Order at least a medium hashbrowns because once you eat one they are the tastiest little rounded potatoes you'll ever find, so happy I got him. Also I got the chicken and biscuit And decided to get the Cajun chicken which is very mildly spiced not overwhelming at all and it was outstanding I hate to add more fast food to my diet but any fast food out eat but probably more Bojangles nowadays. I wasn't happy when Bojangles changed the fried chicken coating (the old one was fine - new one is terrible) and the mash potatoes and gravy recipe (too salty - inedible). BoJangle's service has never been great, but it's gone from annoying to horrible. Sad, because this was a good chicken joint, and it's literally down the street from our subdivision. It's another chain but atleast it adds competition to the other two fried chicken locations (KFC and Popeyes). Bojangles is an NC based fried chicken fast food restaurant offering a "Cajun" style heat and spice to their food. They offer a variety of different sides than KFC along with your classic mac cheese and mashed potatoes. Cajun, to me is an extremely spicy and hot delicacy from Louisiana that is hard to compare with unless you're in Louisiana. Again, this is not true Cajun heat or spice but it does offer a different taste (that's edible) than Popeyes. The chicken (white meat) has a nice crunchy shell along with tender yet spicy meat. This is a great dish by itself, not truly Cajun heat but just dialed down enough to give a hint of Louisiana. Unlike Popeyes attempt, this chicken reminds me more of New Orleans while Popeyes remains a vendor cart outside New York claiming fame rather than being good. The sides were great, if you love mac n cheese along with mashed potatoes then you're good. They don't spice these items to death like Popeyes. Then you have a sweet spicy French fry option that will make your toes twirl. My wife loved the dirty rice and pinto beans combo, they were gone in a matter of seconds. The biscuit was good, not great but decent. Along with lunch, Bojangles offers breakfast luring customers with the coveted biscuits and gravy (wonderful) along with several other dishes during the AM hours. All in all, this is a great chicken chain that can stand up to KFC, driving prices down in everyone's favor. Unfortunately it may bring an end to Popeyes which I would gladly like to happen, I don't go to a chicken joint often but I prefer my meat to taste less like bat and more like chicken. Being from NC and now living in the PNW we rarely get an affordable southern breakfast. The biscuits and chicken were fresh and the service was very friendly and helpful. Overall it was ok, similar taste to Popeyes. Biscuits were ok, but not uniformly cut or cooked. Staff was still very fresh as it just opened the week prior, hopefully it'll get better with age as they learn and grow. Finally checked this place out for the first time. Purchased the Cajun chicken sandwich on a biscuit meal with the round tater tots (whatever they're called) and a coffee. The coffee was good........sandwich was very bland, no Cajun flavor at all, nothing else was on the sandwich, sandwich was greasy, the tater tots were greasy and there were no napkins in the bag. I ordered a family meal through the drive through. Went and paid. Sat there for a few minutes wondering when I was getting my food. Then he rolls his eyes and asks for my credit card for the refund. Then when I ask for a refund receipt he says "oh it went through." Oh no, give me a receipt now because I want proof. So, the chicken is good, that isn't really the problem I have with Bojangles. It isn't great, and it isn't the worst, it's good fried chicken for carry-out. It's crispy, and well seasoned, and juicy, so I have no real complaints with the chicken. The sides are okay, but nothing worth noting. Here is my problem with Bojangles, I've gone 3 separate times, and each time I had to wait way too long. The last time I had to wait 31 minutes from the time I ordered for 8 pieces of chicken! 31 minutes, for chicken, at a chicken place! I think this is very unreasonable. First let me say that have been to this place multiple times before making a review. The first time or two I went there my order was not even close to being correct. I gave them the "this place is new" benefit. Then after my first two times it happened again and this time I let the manager know it was happening almost every time. He gave me a free meal and that was that. The very next time I pull up to drive through and make my order they take my order and when I pull up to pay I'm told "sorry sir we are out of chicken"...what?! Your a chicken place! Then why take my order ?! I love Bojangles and I am so so disappointed that this location lets a bunch high school kids ruin it. They care more about being on their phones and laughing and cutting up at work than to pay attention to a persons order.
