I recommend Bojangles on Holland road as the BEST I went there Sunday evening and ordered chicken breast and wing with dirty rice, another 3 piece with Mac and cheese. When I got to the window the Manager was there with a sample of her dirty rice, because the rice at other Bojangles is over cooked and I actually hate that texture. That rice was off the chain great. The WHOLE TEAM WAS PHENOMENAL with EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I will be going back and directing everyone to that location. This particular location we have been there just a few times to have a Sunday buffet. The staff were always friendly and helpful. Offering refills on whatever we chose. Although they offer a variety of sides including seasoned green beans, jambalaya rice, mack and cheese, French fries cole slaw along with hot biscuits. Just passing by our for a ride on a quarantine Saturday afternoon. We ordered sweet potato pies that just didn't make it off Holland road. I always go to the Bo Jangles on Holland Road for dinner. The customer service in the drive-through is on point. Everything is hot and fresh and fast. But I won't be going there for breakfast anymore. Truly your loss because we get breakfast out all the time. I went there March 15 2025 at about 8 AM in the morning. The automated thing that takes your order sucks. So I pulled up to the window to complete my order. Told her numerous times what drinks we wanted still got the wrong drinks. Didn't realize it till I get home and I'm not getting dressed to drive all the way back. Biscuit for the chicken sandwich was dry. But the thing that really pissed me off was the rudeness of the lady that seemed like she was probably a manager. She slung my drink in the trash and rolled her eyes at me as if replacing it was a big deal. She still got it wrong. I asked for honey, so I could put it on my biscuit just to get home and realize there was no honey in the bag. I'm in customer service too, and I treat people that spend their money at my business with respect. Y'all should do the same thing or get another job. Horrible communication and customer service with waiting for food. First, they didn't have a particular piece of chicken so I had to get substitutes then after waiting 15 minutes I went inside to complain about the wait..... and ended up waiting another 15 minutes for some cookies I ended up not wanting I asked for a refund and was met with the manager talking crap. I did not get the beverage 1/2 gallon of tea that came done the family meal... the food was not fresh at all. It was a very underwhelming experience . My daughter had to use the bathroom so from the moment I started asking for a refund to the moment I was finally given one was about 15 minutes. My daughter reluctantly used the facilities there after the words exchange with everyone on the staff to get clarification on some cookies. If I was met with the information the cookies taken10 minutes to cook and another 10 to cool before they can serve them I would have not ordered cookies at 8pm on a Tuesday. Love Bojangles first of all. Eat at one at least once a week. While in drive thru last evening at 8:45 pm the guy on voice orders was seemingly attacked (screaming), then a lady got on the line and asked to wait, few minutes later lady came back on speaker taking orders. Ok no problem, young people working playing around, it is fast food. Then young man comes back on speaker taking order and cussed (oh shit) loudly after taking order fully. Whatever.... Still not unhappy or concerned. Pay at window and the lady is yelling at drive thru cars to leave already, guy at window has no idea what I ordered,(two number 9 meals, with water, not complicated) even though he charged my credit card for the food? He hands me a bag with 3 meals in it, nothing of which I ordered. The food is for my two teenagers in the backseats, they are not having the different food. I try to walk in to change the meals to what I ordered. Doors locked. There are seven other cars in drive thru by now. Don't want to wait in line again for eternity. The window is occupied by guy who is mad that they just handed him wrong food(probably my order), and he is not having it when I approach on foot. So instead of fighting the angry guy at drive thru window, or waiting 45 minutes thru the line again, kids just go without food or eat whatever was in the bag. No one's happy, kids are hungry and tired, wife is mad at me that I don't want to wait in line again. We all continue our drive home in silence. Thanks bojangles for nothing. Two stars for at a minimum of being open on a Saturday night, even if you couldn't get any order right. read more

This was my first time eating at Bojangles. I ordered a two piece breast and a wing, with mashed potatoes, green beans and a roll. The roll, mashed potatoes and green beans were okay. The highlight being the roll. My wing looked about the size of a pigeon wing. The wing still had long feathers attached. The breast and wing seemed as if they had been double fried. I was not happy at all. I don't know what the hype was about, because the taste was just okay. I don't think if I ever visit the Virginia area again, I will return to Bojangles. read more

The chicken sandwich was cooked to perfection, the fries had a really nice seasoning to them, not too spicy but added a nice kick of flavor to them and my sweet tea was refreshing ice cold and sweetened just right. The cashier was so friendly and had excellent customer service skills! She deserves a raise, promotion and recognition for her great customer service! I love the food at bojangles. I think it's a basic fast food chicken joint. I actually like it better than KFC and Popeyes. Their chicken is always fresh, their sides are delicious and the restaurant is always clean. The people are extremely friendly. Here is why I took two stars away. They do this to us every single time we go to this joint. I have ordered 3 legs they give me two thighs and legs. If my husband orders two thighs and one leg they give him two thighs and a wing. That's not what we ordered. This has been the last three times we have gone to visit. My husband said he has given up on Bonjangles but I don't want him to because the food is good. One thing I love is breakfast food any time of the day. Unlike other fast food establishments, Bojangles does just that. I can stop here on my dinner break from work and get an excellent biscuit and Bo-Rounds and head back to work ready to face the last half of the day. This is a relatively new Bojangles located on Holland Rd. in Va Beach next to Lowes. In fact, you need to enter the Lowes parking lot to access theirs as there is no street entrance. Otherwise you'll pass it by like I did and have to park at the shopping center next door and walk over. The building is brand new squeaky clean. The interior is well lit and there ton of seating. I am a KFC fan however I must say that today Bo 's was pretty decent to my palate. I ordered the country style over the spicy. The front clerk was very nice and professional in taking our order. Rather than how some places are tell you what you want instead of let you place your order. The eating area was clean and comfortably heated on such a cold day. There was one thing that I thought was highly unprofessional of the manager was she was running around like an actual chicken that had jumped out of the fryer in the back flopping around and it absolutely made no sense as there wasn't but a few dining in. The other ladies never asked for her assistance in preparing our order and she took over ranting and raving and then she left our biscuits ( lol) off because she was rushing.,.lol My advice to the manager would be..your crew was professional and all seemed to be working their areas sufficiently until you wanted to take over as if "oh I have to do all" or perhaps someone was there and she wanted to show her authority) anyway. ..you made a mess rather than look professional as a manager. Bojangles at its best is excellent, however that best can be elusive. This is especially true at breakfast. Their chicken biscuit is spiced well, and nice and crispy, when fresh. The problem is that some days, like today, they are a bit dried outnfrom sitting around too long unserved. The biscuits themselves are often hard from sitting around as well. They do have a nice, buttery flavor, and when fresh are excellent. The fried chicken they serve on the bone is among the best you can find in the region. I do not like however that it is nearly impossible to order in 2 or 3 piece meals without the sides. They'll sell them to you, hut at practically the same cost as with the sides. I personally do not care for any of the sides and would prefer just the chicken. My other complaint is that although they serve both Cajun (spicy) and Southern (mild) chicken, there is never any mild avaliable, and ordering it ensures a lengthy wait. It's fast food of course, so its not ressonable to have high standards for freshness and service, but I do think they can do better in preparing and selling what is, by design, an excellent product when compared to their competitors. read more
