We decided to try a number of different foods: a chicken sandwich, fries, slushie with Pop Rocks, and the glorious Hot Mozz Slider. All were fantastic. I would eat them all again. Our cashier A helped us a ton and gave us a lot of great food recommendations. In fact, the whole crew had great rapport with one another and I even had three different employees check in on us and ask if we needed anything. We came across this cafe nearly two months back, when we had first gone to the Big Suchir store to pick up Indian groceries. And since then, we have been going there almost every other day. While the food is special and authentically Indian, what makes it more special is the love and effort with which it is made and served. Add to it the beaming, welcoming smiles and what more do you really need! They have the tastiest menu - Samosas (better than back home in Bangalore!), Vada Pav, Chole Chaat, Dosakanth, Veg Kabab platter - and the list goes on. Really cannot think of anything specific that should be ignored. And if you are a fan of Bollywood, you will identify with all the funky names on the menu, carefully thought of by the owner himself. Overall, the bestest experience...if you love Indian food, you should go there. If you don't like Indian food, you should definitely go there coz you will start loving it, and if you have never tasted Indian food, well...can't think of a better place to get started!!! read more

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with my recent experience at your establishment. Unfortunately, the behavior of the owner, Chetan, was completely unacceptable and ruined our visit. Not only was the food subpar, but Chetan's attitude and unwillingness to work with customers were appalling. As a paying customer, I expect a certain level of respect and service, which was severely lacking. I am extremely dissatisfied and will not be returning to your restaurant. Furthermore, I plan to file a complaint with the city regarding the poor practices and treatment we received. I will also be sharing my negative experience with friends, family, and online platforms to ensure others are aware of the poor service and attitude of the owner. Exceptional food & hospitality have motivated me to write my first review. My wife & I stumbled upon the restaurant during our transition from Downtown Chicago to Naperville. Much can be said about the food as having to get the authentic tasting Indian cuisine devoid of western influence is next to 1 in a 1000. Its been a while since we've consistently ordered, probably over period 6 months & the food has always been consistently well cooked, delightful & fresh. From Chole Bhature, to lentils, snacks, variants of paneer sabzis, Makki ki roti & Saag (dont miss it), Bhadta (dont miss it even if you dont like Bhadtas), chaats (are actually what we get in India & not a portion of stuff that needs mixing) we've tried all. I have been to most of the restaurants serving Indian cuisine in Chicago land the food here is second to none!! Owners are very friendly & passionate about great food! I recently had the pleasure of trying the food of a talented Indian Punjabi chef and I was blown away by the flavors and authenticity of the dishes. From the perfectly spiced paneer butter masala to the chole bhatura , rich butter, every bite was a delight. The chef clearly has a deep understanding of the nuances of Punjabi cuisine and is able to bring out the best in each ingredient. The spices were expertly balanced and the sauces were rich and full of depth. In addition to the delicious food, the service was top-notch. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure that our experience was enjoyable from start to finish. Overall, I highly recommend this chef to anyone who loves authentic Indian Punjabi cuisine. Great place for Indian chaat and a delicious bite. I love their chole bhature, great gravy with fluffy bhature. We frequent this place a bit and have tried almost everything on the menu. Their samosas are okay, the stuffing needs better flavor but the crust is on point. The vada pav is good the sauce that's put inside it great. The pav bhaji is good, not the best I've had but satisfies the craving. There's nothing that is not good or that we left. Their gulab jaman is one of the best, they may have a deal with shree next door because their gulab are one of the best. Service is slow since there's only one guy prepping everything but it's worth it. Their Chai is amazing and fresh. When we want our Indian fix and don't want to drive to Naperville or shaumberg this is the place to go!! Try the pav bhaji quesadilla is good, get it with the ketchup on the side and cheese inside. Absolutely loved it! Pav Bhaji, Chole Bathure are delicious and very authentic. We also got a Paneer item (Paneer Butter masala? can't remember..) but was really good. The young owners are friendly and we decided to go back again and again. We have tried several Indian good in the vicinity (Aurora, Naperville area) but Bollywood Cafe clearly stands out when it comes to taste, freshness of food and service. During our last visit, after ordering the food we realized the wallet was at home. When my wife told the owner about it, he immediately said not to worry and can pay whenever we visited next. That was a very nice gesture of the owner and only added to their exceptional hospitality. Wishing Bollywood Cafe the very best and look forward to see them grow in and around Chicago area. The day I visited Bollywood Cafe, expectations were quite high as I already had heard great reviews about the place from my friends. Vada pav and masala fries were few of the highly recommended items, but I ended up ordering vada pav and dahi vada. While I was waiting, chef Chetan offered me a glass of masala lassi and it was amazing! Gave me a taste of what's in store and my high expectations were definitely not shattered. My food was to go so while handing over my bag Chef asked if I could wait a couple more minutes - I could taste the masala fries as he was preparing the same for some other customers. I decided to wait as I really wanted to try it. Let me tell you it was absolutely worth the wait!! Lip-smacking delicious! I devoured the vada pav and dahi vada at home and it tasted heavenly! We have been regularly visiting Bollywood cafe (now Bollywood Bistro) when they were inside Carmack. We have tried so many dishes and every time had an amazing experience. Their dishes are really good every time with reasonable prices. Also, I think they are unique and has very north Indian taste to the north Indian dishes which I haven't found in any other nearby Indian restaurants. Recently, I have got the catering done from them for about 20 people. We have ordered Sahi paneer, dal makhni, naan, and biryani. Their food was on time with great taste, quality and everyone enjoyed the food at the party. I highly recommend Bollywood Bistro for both dine in and for catering. Food here is PAR EXCELLENCE - I'm a true foodie & I have literally tried ALL the restaurants in Chicagoland and this place stands out in it's taste & quality! I have tried their chaat & fusion items before which is excellent btw and now at this location I tried some a la carte items like Kadhai Paneer, Baingan Bharta, Dal Makhani and I must admit that I've not had such food since India, esp. the Kadhai Paneer was heavenly - reminded me of 5 star restaurants like Taj & Oberoi in India that have exotic taste to their food! I had read a yelp review for this place several months ago - but it was for their older location. Everybody who reviewed said it was the best food "unfortunately they closed" Stumbled upon it one day during my weekly grocery shopping in Cermak. They had not yet opened, but the board was up. The names themselves are worth visiting for. Have tried a sandwich, chole bature, and bhel puri. All amazing tastes. You can tell immediately that they are freshly prepared. I had asked for medium spice keeping my husband in mind, but it was a little spicy for him, but quite perfect for me. So if you do not like spicy food, ask him to make the food mild. All in all, I think my husband is going to accompany me regularly for groceries just to try out all the menu items. read more

At Bollywood Cafe you find a super hit combination of excellent food and of service that matches the food. If you are looking for authentic Indian food then you need to visit this cafe. The food here reminds me of the food in Mumbai and I land up here almost every other day. If you are the one who feel restaurants in the US do not serve Indian food that tastes like Indian, then a visit to Chetan's Bollywood cafe will change your mind. Its difficult to chose a favorite one among the choices we have at this place but if I have to recommend one dish then the samosa's would be on the top of the list. This is one of my favorite new restaurants in Naperville. I have been here several times and I have not had anything I didn't like. It took me until just today (several visits later) to realize it is an entirely vegetarian menu. I am by no means a vegetarian, but with the flavors the chef is able to provide along with the various ingredients (cheese, potatoes, chickpeas), you do not miss the meat AT ALL. Some of my favorite things have been the tikka masala tacos, the samosas, paneer piripiri, dosa balls, and don't forget the desserts! Also, for non-American cuisine, their french fries are some of my favorite in the area. Not only is the food OUTSTANDING, but the customer service has been as good as the food. I discovered Bollywood Bistro through a friend who was practically raving about this place. And after trying it, I see why! Chef Chetan has his own style of making even well known dishes taste unique and interesting. He also is great to chat with and is always ready to share his story. I have not had the opportunity to dine there due to COVID but the Bollywood movie dialogues on the wall are a great touch, talking point, and a nostalgic reminder of some great movies. Chole Bhature, the paneer dishes especially piripiri are fantastic as are other items that I ordered. I have not yet tried everything on the menu but will be going back for more. My parents and I were passing through and were looking for something different along the lines of South Asian food. The reviews for this place looked great and we took a gamble. We were not disappointed. The food was fabulous!! It totally made our night. We tried the Chole Batura, the Katori Chat, Papdi Chat, Bhel Puri, and Kulfi Falooda (ice cream desert). The flavors were wonderful. Everything was just perfect. The desert even turned out to be something different and amazing. The chef and owner, Chetan, was really amicable and really had his heart in all of his creations. Unbelievably amazing Indian food! Some great unique food creations here. Upon Chef's recommendation, we ordered Kadai Paneer, Malai Soy Chap, Dal Makhani and Garlic Naans - everything was delicious! My son loved the Taco Tikka Masala that he ordered. The mango lassi was perfect & complimented our meal. Everything tasted so fresh! This is probably the only Indian restaurant that customizes spice levels and checks for any dietary restrictions. I was so impressed. Chef Chetan is very welcoming and friendly. Very tasty snacks! I don't know of another place with variety like they have. These are unique and filling snacks that you won't find in any typical Indian restaurant. Each menu item has a very clever Bollywood inspired name. My favorite is the Bhaajirao Mastani {Pav Bhaaji). You can stop by to place orders or phone them in advance. We had a great experience with their catering for a small house party, their dishes were a hit with everyone (daal makhni, mattar paneer & samosas) Bollywood Cafe located at the back of an Indian grocery store, convenient if you plan to do other shopping. My wife and I were regulars at the previous Indian establishment; we would always stop in and place our order before grocery shopping at Jewel. We'd pick it up when we were finished and our cravings would be satisfied. So, when we saw Bollywood Bistro would be opening in the very same place, naturally, we were excited. The menu is different, but we've found new favorites! The bhaji quesadilla, paneer piripiri, and chole bhature. The people there are incredibly nice and offered some great suggestions. This place serves awesome vegetarian food with authentic Punjabi / North Indian flavor. They have recently moved into Cermak in Naperville. I stumbled upon them on their first day in Cermak. I tried Baigan Bharta and it was very good. We have tried them couple of time since then and every time the food has been very good - paani poori, chhola bhatura, tikki chaat. The location is very convenient (inside Cermak near cash counter) and they have sitting arrangement too. The service is good and the owners/managers are nice people. We had Chole Bhature, Pav Bhaaji, Taco Tikka Masala, Paneer Pizza, Bhaaji Quesadilla, Paneer Piripiri and Thaali (dal makhani in the thaali was the best I have had since India) - everything was so delicious and authentic in taste, it took me back to India! I think it's kind of very casual-comfortable-whatever. Nothing bad happened, though, but all of these small things do add up. Food alone I would've given this a 4+, but as a whole I landed on 3. Maybe as a pick-up joint, this place would work out for the best. But hey, I'm glad we finally made the trek all the out to Aurora and tried it. Well, now I know. Thanks again and look forward to another visit.

Good Food, But the Difference in Service Was Hard to Ignore…read more My daughter and I visited on August 30th, and I deliberately waited a few days before writing this review because I wanted to be fair about our experience. We have lived in this area for almost four years after moving from the East Coast. We consider ourselves foodies, especially when it comes to international cuisine, and have explored several Indian restaurants throughout the Naperville area. I first discovered this restaurant when ordering takeout. During that visit, a gentleman whom I believe was the manager was exceptionally kind and even allowed us to sample a few items from the buffet. I told him I would return, and I did. Unfortunately, our dine-in experience was very different. After being seated, we received water, but no one returned to check on us. I finished my first plate, and my daughter finished hers before the naan and tandoori chicken were brought to our table approximately 20 minutes later. I am vegetarian, so the chicken wasn't important to me, but we had almost forgotten about the naan by the time it arrived. My daughter also ordered a simple tea. The waiter acknowledged her order, but the tea never came. What concerned us most was watching what happened with the customers who arrived after us. As new customers were seated, we repeatedly heard the sizzling tandoori chicken being brought to their tables, along with naan, within minutes. My back was turned, but my daughter could see the room and began noticing how quickly the other tables were being served. Meanwhile, no one returned to ours to ask the most basic customer-service question: "How is everything? Do you need anything?" My daughter and I were the only Black/African American customers in the restaurant at the time. I am not claiming to know anyone's intentions, but I would be dishonest if I said the noticeable difference in service didn't make us wonder why our table was being treated differently. We frequently dine at Indian and other international restaurants where we may be the only African American customers present, and that has never been an issue. What made this experience uncomfortable was the obvious difference in the level of service we received compared with the service provided to those around us. Before leaving, I quietly spoke with the gentleman at the register, whom I believe was the manager. When our waiter approached, the manager asked him why my daughter's drink had never been brought. The waiter apologized and appeared ready to get her a tea to go, but by then I declined. I want to acknowledge the manager for his sincere, respectful, and genuine apology. He explained that they were short-staffed because someone had not shown up for work. I appreciated the way he handled my concern, and he is the primary reason I chose not to leave a one-star review. However, being short-staffed does not fully explain why customers who arrived after us, received prompt service while our table was repeatedly overlooked. In a restaurant, teamwork should help fill those gaps. I worked as a waitress many years ago; I am a professional writer, and I own my own business. I know what good customer service looks like, and I understand the importance of how people are treated when they choose to spend their money with your business. The food was good. The service experience was not. After giving it considerable thought, I don't believe I would return for their weekend buffet. There are many Indian restaurants in the Naperville area, and good food alone isn't enough when a dining experience leaves you questioning why your table received a noticeably different level of service. I may consider ordering takeout again because I did enjoy the food, and I sincerely appreciate the manager for listening to my concerns. I hope management receives this review in the spirit in which it is written: not simply as criticism, but as an opportunity to make sure every customer who walks through that door receives the same respect, attention, and hospitality. In comparison, excellent food and customer service have kept me coming back to A2B, Shimla Peppers, Indian Harvest, and Bombay Chopsticks (which also offers an excellent buffet). Unfortunately, after this experience, I don't believe I will add Cuisine of India to my list of favorite restaurants or recommend it to friends or others in the area. They weren't busy when we came in and that could have been a sign. Has a pretty good amount of stuff on the menu. Mostly authentic flavors and spices. It's about $13 for an entree. Then add a few more bucks for chapati or naan. Basically you have to get a bread in order to be able to eat anything. The entrees come with rice at least. I had the Guttha Vindaya Curry. This is eggplant in hot peanut sauce. It sure was pretty hot. The rest of the menu features classics like tandoori and more. Have to say it wasn't as bad as it could have been. It's one of those Indian restaurants that closes between lunch and dinner where at lunch it's often cheaper. There's plenty for many taste preferences, including for both meat eaters and vegetarians.

The restaurant itself is very large and very clean and is part of one of the largest parking lots I've ever seen, so parking is not a problem.
