Looks like a promising restaurant with a build-your-own bowl or salad experience. I appreciate that the ingredients were all gluten free. There is also a nice variety of proteins and vegetables. The atmosphere is clean and gives modern cafeteria vibes. The people working were friendly and helpful, explaining the process, as it was my first visit. I ended up going with the sweet potato noodles and spinach base, adding garlic broccoli and teriyaki chicken. You can choose some toppers as well. I actually found the combination too heavy and greasy. Portions are decent. Next time, I would skip the noodles and maybe try a rice, plus a different protein or vegetable. One of the specials also caught my eye, so I ordered the harvest salad. When I went to add a protein (I asked if it was possible, they said yes), I chose the steak and it was $8 extra. I was confused since it was labeled with $4 extra charge, but evidently that was only if you ordered a regular build-your-own bowl. That was not apparent to me, and unfortunately, it defeated the purpose of trying the special, since it ended up being even more expensive than a regular BYOB. My husband said the flavors of the salad were good, that the steak was a little overcooked but fine. They have a rewards program, but right now, it sounds like it's special offers, not necessarily earning points for credit. I have been looking for healthy meal take-out options to try, in lieu of food delivery services. I'm open to trying this place again, but maybe because of my high hopes, it was just alright. If they would consider less sauce on the protein (when it's mixed together), it may help it feel less heavy. This is coming from a sauce on the side kind of gal.

Great place for build your own bowl when speaking about healthy food. Service was nice and quick as there wasn't a line when we were there. But the sauce staffs added might be a bit more than we expected for each one we asked for lol. All the meats we ordered on that day were all a bit dry and hard to bite.

Came here for lunch last week. I've been on a bit of a salad kick lately, and this place definitely hit the spot. I went with the two-protein bowl and chose the salmon and teriyaki chicken. It was a little pricey for a salad in my opinion, but it is what it is. They have a huge selection of ingredients to choose from, although some items cost extra once you go beyond the included toppings. The portion size was generous--I couldn't even finish the whole bowl. Everything was fresh and flavorful, and the mushrooms were easily my favorite part. This is also a great spot for vegetarians and vegans, with plenty of fresh options to customize your meal. There's enough variety that you'll want to come back and try something different. The lunch rush wasn't too bad, and I received my order fairly quickly. The restaurant itself was clean and well-kept, but I did notice a few tables that could have been cleared sooner to help seat customers more efficiently. Overall, it's a solid place for a fresh, healthy meal. A little on the expensive side, but the quality, freshness, and portion size make it worth checking out. I'll definitely be back.

A new healthy bowl fast-casual restaurant prioritizing fresher ingredients. Get the sauce on the side, and always ask for samples if you're unsure. I talked with the owner at length since he was around for the opening, and he really emphasized how important to the store it was to get the freshest ingredients possible. From the always-fresh chicken and steak ("New York strip!"), to the meticulous brand choices for the black rice ("specifically pressure cooked to perfection") and the white rice ("this [REDACTED] brand is the best!"), it's clear that there's a lot of deliberate choices and love behind the portion sizes, veggies, proteins, and even the branding ("everything but two things are gluten free"). I would personally recommend the sweet potato noodles, the steak, and the roasted chickpeas as the highlights of the menu. I think the base proteins being three different sauced chickens and tofu is a bit disappointing, as getting the premium bowl at $19 makes it an expensive meal compared to all the options in the rest of the plaza. Also, the one time I got the sweet chili mayo on top, it overpowered the rest of the bowl, so while the sauces are all good I'd still strongly recommend getting all sauces on the side. There's a lot of different salad bases, but while those don't really appeal as much to me, it does spoil the average consumer for choice. If you're unsure of what to try, there's a really generous sampling policy currently where you can basically try everything. In terms of quality, you can't go wrong!

Boltiful just opened their second location in Rivermark and it's the perfect spot if you're trying to eat clean without sacrificing flavor. Everything here is made with fresh ingredients, and the best part -- you can fully customize your bowl! Pick your base, veggies, protein, toppings, and sauce to build exactly what you're craving. My go-to combo: - Salmon - Potatoes - Brussels sprouts - Sweet potato noodles - Sweet chili mayo So filling, balanced, and actually hits every time! They also offer catering (and I've heard they're a go-to for a lot of tech offices ) The owners are super sweet and I can tell they are really passionate about what they are building here. If you're in the area, come by to support!

We heard about this place recently and came in to try it. Seems like this location just started couple of weeks ago. So impressed! Great healthy options to pick. Especially with families who have all diverse requirements, this is a perfect place. Plenty of vegetarian options. The veggies are grilled so well too. My personal favorite was the black rice, it was perfect. Teriyaki chicken was the most popular option and we liked it. I missed trying the kale salad, next time! The sweet potato noodles were a little on the sweeter side, but it was a great hit with the kids. Tip: Take the sauce on the side, so that you can relish the flavors of the meat and veggies too.

If you want a place that sells your typical healthy food, but without the healthy labelling kind, look no further than your locally Asian-owned green business -- Boltiful Kitchen! I want to give a big shoutout to the Boltiful Kitchen staff for giving me the opportunity to try (and purchase) some new things at the store -- along with some goodies that they gave us. They had a wide variety of drinks available -- from mango lemonade, to Thai tea, and iced tea, and more. They also had fountain drinks as well, and honestly it made all the difference. There were different types and varieties of vegetables and grains to choose from, ranging from jasmine rice to kale bits and more. I love how there are a wide variety of protein options to choose from, including teriyaki chicken, barbecue chicken, miso glazed tofu, and more. They also had spicy Thai shrimp, roasted salmon, and more premium options -- all of which were really good options because none of the proteins were ever fried or put through the frying process. It neither contained any MSG. The ambiance was BRAND new, and I'm so glad they opened this location for all the people who live in the Rivermark. All in all, this experience was such an amazing one and I'm glad that a second location opened for all the people who live around the Rivermark Santa Clara -- or who have activities that happen around that area. A must recommend!

I've been craving a good bowl and really missing Cava, so I was so happy to finally try this place out. It's basically a build your own bowl spot where you can customize everything with their fresh toppings or choose from their created signature bowls. The employees were so sweet, answered all of my questions and even let me sample after telling them it was my first time. I liked the variety of their protein options, but I probably wouldn't go for the chicken again. I liked the flavor a lot, I just didn't like that it had a lot of bones and it was veiny. I liked the steak, it was really tender. A lot of their better proteins were $4 extra, so it could get a little pricey. Overall still a very fresh and tasty spot that I'd come back to!

I wasn't planning to stop at Boltiful Fresh Kitchen. I just saw it was newly opened at Rivermark Plaza in Santa Clara and thought -- why not. That was the right call. I ordered two bowls: the veggie and the spicy Thai shrimp. The shrimp had this slow-building heat that actually made me pause mid-bite. The veggie bowl was the kind of thing you eat and feel genuinely good about -- not in a sad salad way, in a "I'm actually full and happy" way. Everything is built in front of you. Open kitchen, fresh ingredients, zero mystery about what's going into your bowl. The sauces are all house-made and gluten-free, and the portions are generous without feeling heavy. The kids eat free deal every Saturday and Sunday is the kind of thing that makes a newly opened restaurant an instant regular spot for families. Smart move by them.

My lady and I stumbled upon this restaurant after seeing the other restaurant we originally want to go to closed for Easter Sunday. We walked in and were immediately greeted by workers and what seemed like the owners as well. We told them it was our first visit and a kind gentlemen gave us a rundown on the menu and let us know it was actually the last day for their BOGO Bowl deal since they just opened recently. I ordered a bowl with Kale salad, black rice, Tuscan Zucchini, and BBQ chicken. My lady ordered Sweet Potato Noodles, Kale salad, Herb roasted potatoes and Chimichurri Steak. The food overall was pretty solid, it's another, "build your own"' style of restaurant. My lady and I found that the Kale salad was a little dry as well as the black rice not being as soft as we'd like. The taste of the protein options were pretty flavorful. I hope to see more and newer protein options in the future too. My favorite things were the glass noodles and the herb roasted potatoes. For the portion size/taste, price, and customer service we got for our first visit I couldn't really complain.

    Lemon and Asian chicken
    Richard W.

Grand opening store in Rivermark Plaza - with special BOGO offer, I customized my bowl to include lemon chicken, Asian chicken, broccoli, corn, cucumber, button mushrooms, Soybeans and almonds - with a combo base of spinach and clear noodles. $18 per bowl but then $4 extra for anything other protein than chicken or tofu. Salmon, shrimp, steak, which is slightly sneaky. Creamy garlic and pesto dressing both add a positive dimension to the palate, otherwise, most of the ingredients are quite bland. It's a large portioned bowl that very much fills you up. Boltiful is a great healthy option compared to the other restaurant options in the plaza.

Drove up from San Francisco for a concert at Levi's and wanted to stop for some food before a concert we were attending. As someone who is gluten free, I really appreciated this place's attention to detail and their commitment to a fully gluten free and allergen conscious menu. The place is very nice inside and the employees are super helpful and friendly. The food was tasty and definitely left us feeling FULL! We will definitely be back. Special thanks to Kim who helped us out today. :)

Boltiful Fresh Kitchen recently opened their second location in Santa Clara in the Rivermark Plaza!! You can build your own protein bowls and I love how each ingredient is gluten-free and baked. I got a bowl with spring mix, sweet potato noodles, shrimp and BBQ chicken and it was very flavorful and yummy. Boltiful is definitely the place to satisfy your hunger with a delicious, high-protein meal.

Hey there Party People…read more I've been to the Table several times since my first review for the restaurant and just felt I needed to restate the obvious....this place is great. Hubby and I wanted to have brunch The Table is the best spot. You can get bottomless Mimosas for a very reasonable price. But first and foremost the food is what you go for. Not to mention you can take a very pleasant walk along Willow street and check out the shops after a great meal. The menu really lends to sharing plates so you can really get your foody on. We had the beignets to start. Made with ricotta and lemon curd for dipping. The beignets were very moist and a little dense because of the ricotta. The sugar coating was light and the crust was perfectly crunchy. What really made the beignets sing was the lemon curd dipping sauce just added a deep layering of flavor. Then there was the Heirloom Tomato salad with artichoke hearts. It was a tasty bite. The fry on the artichoke hearts was light bringing out the artichoke flavor. The treatment of the heirloom was clean simple and the whole dish together was just wonderful. Finally we had the Chicago Roast beef sandwich. It was huge and made me glad that we were splitting the dishes. The sandwich really reminded me of the east coast because of the peppers and carrots medley that was on the sandwich, which packed a fantastic little kick to wake up the pallet. Their Au Jus dipping sauce brought the hold combination together. Per my Hubby, who is a real Roast Beef lover, the whole sandwich was next level. Tea service is a definitely worth enjoying. For the locals, this is amazing. For travelers like us, a golden find. Cheers!

Definitely a family style dinner, order multiple things to try! Made a reservation couple weeks in advance for a week night dinner for 2. Celebrated our anniversary and couldn't be more happy we came to Ethel's Fancy. Service was great, everyone was friendly and explained the menu and process. Helped making some personal recommendations and the food came out quickly. The only dish that came out very slowly was the dessert, we did wait about 25 - 30 minutes just for the softserve, but all other dishes came out in a moderate time. Rouge de Bordeaux Milk Bread, comes with cultured amazake butter and some salt. Comes out super warm, puffy, and soft. Very nice pull and the butter is super decadent. Very great take on a japanese shokupan, we were hesitant at first, but it makes for a good appetizer 5:5 Warm Sesame Pancakes were like those mini sesame mochi pancakes at chinese dim sum, but the texture was slightly airy. The sauce to accompany it was unlike anything i've had, smoked trout, avocado and yuzu. The avocado was not over powering and the cream on top was whipped. Amazing pairing. 5/5 Sashimi of Kanpachi, japanese cucumber salad as the base and dressing with the kanpachi sashimi. I will say this was the weakest dish of the night. While still good, it was a bit too tart, it overpowered the other natural flavors. Fish was still very good, tender and not fishy, but again, over powered but all the tartness in the dish. 3/5 Yellowfin Tuna on sushi rice - this was a great shareable plate of upscale poke. The tuna was great, no fishy taste, perfectly seasoned and the smoked kira had an amazing pop of flavor. Very rich and decadent dish, absolutely loved the harmony of a slight smokey flavor to the nice rich, umami savoriness. 5/5 Crispy Caledonian Prawns - Absolute star of the night. We could not stop talking about these prawns. Big plump prawns, fried perfectly, where the prawn itself was not dry but the shell had a shatteringly crispy exterior definitely slightly coated with a starch to give it a nice crunch. The chili ramp sunomono was a great touch, not spicy at all but added a great touch of flavor that complimented the crispy prawns. Could devour plates of these! 6/5! Sword-Fish Katsu Style - A great take with sword fish, flakey but not overcooked, great thin crispy katsu. Accompanied by kumquat and cauliflower, helps cut down the greasiness. The sauce with it was a buttery tart sauce. This was a lot better where the tartness helped the fried fish. It was like eating a fried fish burger without the buns. I really enjoyed this one. 5/5 Lastly we ordered a softserve with peaches, shokupan croutons and a caramel dressing. We had to wait about 25 minutes just for the small softserve so we were a bit surprised as other dishes came out relatively quickly or in an orderly fashion. It still tasted great as a little small dessert but definitely was surprised by how long it took. 3/5 Overall, we were very happy with our experience at Ethel's and it definitely lives up to the standard it sets. I can't wait for other new dishes to try and come back in the future.

I had high hopes for this upscale Mediterranean spot in downtown Campbell. Lots of hype, but the…read morefood was average and service was all over the place. I thought some dishes were great; the wagyu burger was decadent. Other dishes were not that special. The scallops didn't taste too fresh (likely frozen) and combining them with hummus didn't quite work. The side of bread was practically insulting. $5 for stale table bread was a surprise. Dishes arrived very late; we were nearly forgotten when we tried to order, and then after ordering, we waited 40 minutes between appetizers and the main course. Not because they were cooking it; they just forgot we were there and when they brought out the dishes, the scallops were no longer just-cooked, and the burger had been sitting for a bit. No apology, just an acknowledgment it was late, and no discount (not even on the stale bread). They offered us wine, we said we didn't drink, and they just moved on. I debated a lot about how to review this. It's my personal experience that was disappointing, and I'm glad some reviews are very upbeat. But there's a handful of reviews noting frustrating delays... and that needs to be worked on.
