    Frozen drinks

Truly an intimate experience. Very south philly, bar on one side and tables on the other. Recommend the frozen cocktails and black ink pasta. Service was great

    All the food!

This place is a great happy hour. Honestly, the breaded chicken wing on the menu was something a local supermarket sells at the hot deli section so I would not get. I really wanted to try to pork wings but they were out. We also got the crab spaghetti which was very good. I really want to try their ribs the next time though. The waitress was super funny and kind so I gotta give it another star.

Ok, I found this place on Yelp. This was my third choice. Because I was craving ribs. The first rib place wasn't open. Then, second place sold out ribs and everything. At this point, I was upset because I wanted some ribs on a nice day. I just want a ribs sandwich. I drove from Germantown Ave to the first place, was on Erie Ave, and second place was around Snyder Ave. And then I found this place Boom Boom. It was a bar/ restaurant located on the corner of a block. My gps got me their with no problem. I parked my car and walked down the street. When it and there was no one at the front, welcome you in the place had to rooms. The bar area and the back where the restaurant part was plus the kitchen and bathrooms. It was dark and dreary. Don't get me wrong, just a little from the two or four windows. and the front door was open with a little light coming in. So when I walked in, as I stated earlier, no one was at the front. I walked at this open, and it was people eating lunch. They looked at me, and I looked back. I they were wondering why this black lady looking at us. So I went back to the front and had a set at the bar. Waited for about 10 to 15 minutes, so I looked at the appt on Yelp and called the restaurant, and a lady answered and asked, "Can she help me I answered yes I'm in the font and would like to order. She told me that she would be right up here to take my oder she was helping out. Ok, she came out and asked me what I wanted. I told her to place an order this was fust time here. Then she handed me a menu and like she was in a rush so I called my husband to she if he want any thing. So, as I was on the phone and looking over the menu, she said out of nowhere, so what are you ordering. Then she looked up and saw that I was on the phone. I told her to give me a minute. So she said ok told my husband what they had and all that he wanted was the salmon blt. So the lady came back over to take my order, so I said I would like a rib platter for me, and it came with fries and coleslaw. I ordered my husband the salmon blt but with no tomatoes, sauce, and no bacon. Then she said I'll be back. I'm going to put your order in fine. Came just talking, and at one point, I zoned out because she was talking too much. Then she asked me if I wanted a drink ok I would like a Pina colada she looked in the refrigerator, and their was no mix to make my drink. Then she started their she had to go get in the back. At the time, I told her it was okay. I could order a coconut rum and pineapple juice, and that would be fine. She made it and and it was. So, while I was waiting, a guy came in he must have been a regular. They started talking about something, and then she asked if he wanted his usual. And all you heard in the was the yard door open and close and the staff must have been smoking. So then another worker came into the restaurant she started talking to her she put her stuff down and made her fresh cup of coffee but she wanted tea but put creamer in her cup. So she had to drink the coffee and it was smelling good. Oh, I forgot they been cooking the ribs outside because of the door. But my food wasn't that hot. The coffee had a smell but you couldn't smell the food. Then three people came in to eat, and the lady asked, "Do you have reservation. and the lady behind the bar said you can seat yourself. I'm still drinking my drink and looking around and waiting on our food. Then, a couple came in and sat at the bar. What really to the cake was when the lady behind told them it was Happy Hour and told them a list of items that what was for happy hour. Know that was something and rude. So our food finally came and she gave me the bill and it was $40.00 or more so I opened the food to check it my rib platter looked ok and my husband sandwich had a tomato on it I told her I said no tomatoes and told no I didn't . So guesset what I won't be going back to the Boom Boom Restaurant. Believe this was the spot, and I was tried and hungry. When you come into the restaurant, everyone should be treated the same. I didn't have a happy hour drink. I pay eight dollars. So let me finish telling you all my long story finally got ed my hands. Putting up my item that was purchased from the reading terminal. Proceeded to open the food, and it was cold, so I had to warm it up. First, for my husband, then mine. So the ribs were not good at all. I was so made that if you look at the Yelp page, the ribs look good. But taste was not their for me. You know whe you what so bad and then it doesn't turn out right well that was these ribs and the coleslaw tasted like it had a lot of vinegar in it no thank you and fries was ok. So let me tell you about the salmon BLT. First of all, their item should be on the menu also, and my husband said the salmon was not farm raised so he could eat it at all.

As soon as you walk inside this palace looks like a gem. They're playing 80's pop. Little dive bar feels. I instantly felt in my heart this was a win. We sat down and the bar tender Lisa was very sweet. Not to mention she made some great drinks. Little did we know this would be the only great think about this place. We ordered fried calamari, Sliders and wings. Everything came out almost INSTANTLY. I've worked in a retirar before so I was like hold up. That means they either had the food sitting out or I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt, they have enough people working that they have the ability to move THAT QUICK. The foodie in me went in. The calamari was okay. It's not served with marinara. It's served with some tangy spicy sauce. Not bad. I myself wouldn't ever go there again and order calamari. Then came out the wings. Fat girl in me is ecstatic. One bite, and they are FROZEN STILLLLLL. Our food came out real fast because it wasn't done cooking. I was so upset because then my bar tender is giving other ppl great customer service and she's no where to be found. Then she came back with the sliders and we explained to her our dilemma, she was very apologetic, took them back. We told her to take them off. She kept insisting they would make more but I was soooooo good off that. The sliders, pickles seemed old. Buns were fresh but we were already turned off. Only thing in my eyes that was good about this place was the martinis Lisa was making and her great attitude. Also I used the bathroom and it was super clean. Other then that, no way I'm returning. I rather not eat frozen food. In my eyes the only thing that didn't make me angry was that our bar tender had such great customer service and she was very apologetic. Also, the menu says Red Bull and vodka as a drink special BUT the bar tender told us that they only buy Red Bull when it's on sale. Also it says martini on the menu for happy hour but it has to be either straight or twisted or else it doesn't apply. Once we ordered apple martini she wasn't giving us happy hour prices anymore.

Want to feel like you are eating Sunday dinner at Grandma's house , well this is it. From the moment you walk in the door you feel like family. The restaurant is small and cozy and the sauce was home made. My sausage rigatoni was some of the best Italian food I ever had. The drinks were strong and superb. For dessert we had the homemade rice pudding which was creamy and delicious and melted in your mouth. Dessert was enough to share.

Chocolate cake.. probably the best I have tasted in a while

But, on…read morethe multi-festival Saturday, second of May in the year 2026, I can definitively say that I've now tried the little seafood spot on one of our favorite corners, that we're almost always just passing by to get to Time. First, the friendly, informative service: in an oyster bar with a rotating fresh selection, that's an underrated must. We were seated outside, given a rundown of the menu and "as it's ready" flow of the kitchen. We got a pair of cocktails, the Melonata and a Tequila Julep. I think the Melonata might be my new summer favorite. It looks like Ecto Cooler but doesn't give a distinct feeling of growing diabetes while drinking it. In grown up terms, it was well balanced, not too sour, not too sweet, and deeply herbal, fruity, and refreshing at the same time. The Tequila Julep was a Mint Julep with tequila instead of bourbon. It was good, though it's hard to mess that set of ingredients up. We got a selection of oysters and a shooter. Every oyster was distinct and different. Felt like there were no "different on the menu but same in flavor profile" that you can sometimes run into. This implies it's well curated. I have no idea, because I'm not an expert fishmonger, nor do I know whether that term specifically applies here - case in point. Anyway, I got 2 from Washington State, and another from Cape May. The first WA was large, buttery, and had the satisfying chew of young coconut flesh. Semi sweet. The second was smaller, sharper, and briny as hell - tasted of the ocean. And finally, the Cape May was mild and fresh, a good balance between the two others. It was a perfect little tasting menu that I'd created by just ordering the first three guys off the list. Not sure what selection came with the shooter, but the concoction in the shot glass shooter was bright green and pickly. Glad I got it as a contrast to the classics with what I assumed was red wine vinegar. Besides that, we snacked on salmon avocado toast with the Calabrian Chili Oil. It was also very, very good. Sometimes things are better than the sum of their parts. This is true here, but it's also worth noting that the individual parts - the bread, the smoked salmon, the chili oil, the avocado, the shaved onions - were excellent in their own right. We will be back for sure.

I finally went with one of the seafood combination boils, and chose Combo A, which consisted of half pound snow crab, half pound shrimp with no head, corn, potato, and broccoli. I also added Sausage, which was $1 extra. I was very happy with the Snow Crab, because the legs were nice and thick. I used the cracker tool to get the meat out and it worked pretty well. The crab meat was delightfully tender, flaky, and was full of flavor made even tastier in the buttery garlic sauce. The shrimp had to be peeled, but was quite juicy and succulent. The veggies were fresh, soft, and cooked perfectly. The sausage was wonderfully well seasoned. I also got to try Coconut Shrimp, Hush Puppies, and Sweet Potato Fries. The Coconut Shrimp was lightly breaded, amazingly crispy, with the great taste of coconut. The Hush Puppies were also decent, and satisfyingly crunchy. Sweet potato fries were yummy and addicting. Service was great. Our server was friendly and on top of it, making sure we were taken care of. I was certainly happy with meal.
