This is a TINY restaurant which normally isn't a problem, however they packed the place with a large party so it was a bit suffocating. Our favorite dishes were the Emily ravioli, the tagliatelle, and the apple cake. The bruschetta was fun to eat but wasn't a knockout and the rest of the dishes fell flat. All had the same flavor. They must really love that marinara sauce because it was on everything. The goulash was suffering from a lack of salt and the polenta cake was very dry. The Brussels were a real miss, underseasoned and slightly undercooked. Service was slow at the start, but overall solid. We decided to order every thing up front and have them course it out which proved to be a great decision. I don't really see myself coming back here unless I get invited to someone's 65th birthday.

Service, wine & ambiance is always excellent!! Highly recommend the lasagna! Wow! Delicious! I do wish there were a few more options on the menu to choose and I wish main entrees included a small side salad. This place is wonderful for a date or catching up with good friends.

Cute, local dining place with perfect music volume level. Love the quiet atmosphere where I can carry conversations. Service was also very good. Food was delicious- not too salty. Ingredients tasted fresh. We had chicken liver bombetta, Genovese, and NY strip. Also had glass of red wine and vermouth spiritz. Vermouth was a little sweet, but I love vermouth taste so was very yummy to me. Moderately priced- expected for Houston. Perfect for a date night

Dont be deterred by all the construction around it. This restaurant is worth it. Our group of 4 came on a Saturday night and were seated in this cozy small restaurant. We had octopus and liver pate for apps and shared two pastas (mushroom ravioli and pappardelle). Everything was delicious especially the pastas. There's an extensive wine collection as well including our favorite orange wine. Service was impeccable.

Not impressed and won't be back. Service was very strange. Our waiter was attentive but never offered us bread service (we had to ask after we saw other tables with bread). Then, as we ordered, we asked about what something was at another table and he said it was the off the menu Branzino. He never told us about any specials or off the menu items. I ordered it and it was very tasty, but why did we have to ask for it? We ordered a side of spinach, listen on the menu. It didn't come with our food. When we inquired about it, he ran away and 5 minutes later came out with it when we were basically done with our meals. It was NOT the spinach listed on the menu. The menu says "Sautéed spinach with grape tomatoes, pine nuts & balsamic vinegar" and what we got was completely plain bitter spinach. We sent it back. Our waiter never apologized for forgetting the side item and never apologized for bringing out the wrong item. None of our food was something that would bring us back and the service was so poor that we will not ba back.

Such a great meal! We both got the special menu with wine pairing. They regularly have vintners visiting from Italy and creating a special menu with pairings.

This place is amazing! Super small and intimate- great atmosphere. Definitely recommend making a reservation. My partner and I sat at the bar and were helped by Patrick who I believe is the manager and/or owner. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. There's a large wine selection and the food is incredible. I think the prices are extremely reasonable if not cheap considering the quality of the items offered. There's not much parking directly in front of the restaurant, but there is plenty on either side along West Alabama. This spot is now my new favorite!!

We ordered two different pastas to try and fritters to start. The vibes were IT for both a date night or to have a chill night with a big group. I think the menu had a good variety in each course without it being overwhelming, I will be going back to try their large selection of wine and more of their dishes!

The staff is super friendly, and we were welcomed as we were (we had hoped to eat at a sister establishment but they sold out of what we wanted). Mimo's offers a great selection of Italian inspired apps, three well appointed pizzas, a few varied and surprising options for pasta dishes, and some mains. Items we tried: Pane - delicious Roasted Carrot Pizza - AMAZING, A little spicy, but definitely something we would order again. Pastas we ordered initially came out cold - our incredible waiter immediately corrected the issue. But from a flavor profile - Pansotti - sooooo delicious. You'd never guess that it was a vegetarian option - the mushrooms were so meaty. The delicate pouches with the spinach and ricotta were heavenly. Pappardelle - The lamb braised sauce had a depth of flavor that could rival any restaurant in Italy. My only tiny hope was that the pasta would have been served aldente, it was a little overcooked. But to each his own. Overall - really great. Would recommend. This would be great for a weeknight dinner or an off the beaten path date night.

Emilio was incredible--very attentive to our needs and made sure we were 100% satisfied with everything throughout our meal. I've never experienced service quite like this before. Even as we were leaving, the staff opened the door for us and sent us off with a warm handshake, which was such a thoughtful touch. The food was also a 10/10. The build-your-own pasta menu was fantastic and offered so many different options. The weekday happy hour until 6:30 p.m. is hard to beat, especially with $6 Aperol Spritzes and margaritas. The complimentary focaccia bread was delicious, and the olive oil, balsamic, and garlic dipping sauce was the perfect touch. We also ordered the fried calamari, and the sauce it came with was unlike any marinara I've ever had--in the best way possible. Everyone there was incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere made me feel like I was transported somewhere else entirely. It's also very family-friendly, making it a great spot for any occasion. Definitely my new date night spot, and I can't wait to come back. I highly recommend Mia Bella's to anyone looking for amazing food, outstanding service, and a welcoming atmosphere.

Some of y'all are silly gooses Anyway, my friend and I came by on a Thursday night and it was pretty busy! The inside of the restaurant is decorated with so many Italian knick knacks which gives this place a cozy vibe. Instead of ordering an appetizer and an entree, my friend and I decided to order 3 things from the appetizer menu: Arancini Montanare Impepata Napoletana The arancini was delicious! The exterior/crust wasn't too thick and was fried nicely. As for the filling, it had cheese, beef, and tomato sauce- yum! I really enjoyed the montanare because it came with 3 different toppings. Not to mention, the bread was fantastic! All 3 were great but my favorite was the one with smoked provolone, anchovy, and the red chili on top (I believe that's what the red topping is). The Impepata Napoletana was another solid dish- loved the white wine sauce with garlic and pepper. Although it was a tad bit too salty for me, it paired nicely with the bread. For dessert, my friend got the pistachio gelato and I ordered the Tiramisu. Both were a great way to end dinner. Food was wonderful, our waiter was very friendly/welcoming, and the vibes were lovely. It is a family place - kids everywhere, climbing booths and kicking seats - not the staff's fault, but know that your kiddos will feel at home here. Staff was very apologetic but was unable to offer any of their specialty items due to understaffing or lack of availability of ingredients (server was unclear). Drove an hour and a half for nothing, it seems. Disappointing... What we did get was tasty, but it wasn't what I wanted and therefore did not redeem the trip. The cost was not worth it, in my opinion.

Then onto the Cacio e Pepe Arancini. Cacio e Pepe is my favorite pasta, so I was a little disappointed they don't have it on the menu as a dish itself, but the arancini was delicious! For mains, my husband had the salmon. We ordered it medium and it came more well done, however, it was perfectly crispy on the outside and still moist in the center. Very tasty. I had the ricotta cavatelli, which might be the best pasta I've ever had. The shrimp were so plump and fresh. There was plenty of crab throughout. As for what I had: Zucca chips: 3/5 what I received was much different from everyone else's pictures. My chips were much smaller and mostly pieces of chips. Maybe I got the bottom of the batch? The flavor was good, but because they were small and folded in on themselves, they held a lot of the oil. The oil did taste fresh though. Eggplant parm (small plate): 3/5 most cheese and very little eggplant. The flavor was good. My waitress told me it came with noodles but then no noodles came out. I know this place is popular and everyone seems to like it. I would try it one more time just to see if maybe I ordered the wrong thing, but overall I didn't think it was worth the money.
