The chicken is crispy and so flavorful that I was willing to have the spicy wings even though I don't care much for the heat! I fought it for those amazing wings! Delicious food, terrible order accuracy. The last 3 times we ordered, 1 Kimchi was missing, then another 2 kimchi and then tonight 1 kimchi and 2 steamed rice. They have a phone which they dont answer, and when I called a third time, the phone was magically off and going straight to voicemail. Do NOT order from this place unless its pickup only, and you check your order before you leave. Staff too irresponsible to get the orders correct or the decency not to turn off the phone when a customer calls. I'm sure I'm not the only one. read more

We drove from The Woodlands to this location and it was totally worth it. The chicken was crispy, juicy and flavorful. The pork buns were delicious. We also met the owner and he was super nice. We told him that we ordered the garlic soy and the sweet wings and that we will try the spicy wings the next time we come back. He asked us if we wanted to try the spicy wings so he had them cooked up for us for free with a free side of daikon radish. It was Good food, good service. read more

There was 6 of us and our food trickled it's way out on to our table, instead of it all coming at once. 2 guest waited 20mins after others received their food. I tried this place when they were in grand opening phase. Unfortunately, service was lacking, and the food did not make up for it. The pieces are huge, yes. The flavors just weren't there.. I live relatively close to this location and heard great things about its other locations, like NYC. I was just turned off by service and food. There's really no reason for me to come here again. I finally got the chance to try this place out and I regret not coming here sooner. From the outside it does look small but when you go inside it's actually pretty spacious. Not to mention they have a very spacious outside patio that would be great to hang out to have a drink after. I was very surprised with the menu because there was a good amount of Korean food. I got to try the spicy rice cake and it was spicy but that's how this dish is supposed to be. They even had the fish tempura and noodles so that was a plus for me. Of course you need to try the chicken when you get here and I was not disappointed. When you have any type of sauce with the chicken you want to make sure the chicken is extra crispy so it's not soggy. Took a bite of the chicken and the crispiness of it was perfect! Oh my!!!! I am in love with these wings! The best Korean fried chicken wings in out-er Houston area. The service was fast and the experience was a good one. We did half and half sauce and octopus balls. The octopus balls were the best I've had, you could taste and see the bits and pieces of octopus! Came here last Saturday night with a date. I was in the mood for some spicy food. My date ordered the Bulgogi and I ordered the Bull Dak. We both ordered unsweet tea. First, our waitress was fantastic! She answered all of our questions about the menu and was very sweet, polite, and attentive. Second, the food was PHENOMENAL. I was a little scared when they brought out the Bull Dak because the color is something I call "Angry Orange", but the heat level was absolutely perfect. Not too hot, but definitely enough to make my nose a little runny!!! Haha... The little rice cakes in the dish are so much fun to eat! They kind of look like penne pasta, but they're not hollow and they have the most interesting texture I've ever encountered! My date enjoyed his Bulgogi, and our iced teas were good, too. Nothing worse than bad tea... Anyway, if I had to complain about something, it would be that our food wasn't brought out at the same time, which is always a little annoying to me. Mine came out about 3 minutes after his. Not long enough for his meal to get cold, but just long enough to make it really awkward having to sit there and wait for mine. This slight misstep wasn't enough to put me off completely, and I'm planning to eat there for lunch this afternoon, since I conveniently work only about a football field away from their front door! The spicy chicken tacos were just okay 6/10 (5 being average). I didn't like the shrimp shumai. The takoyakai was also a 6/10 because the Bonito flakes weren't needed. We ordered the small combo fried chicken and the house fried rice with bulgogi. The fried rice was good, but idk what happened with the chicken. It tasted different as if the recipe changed? I'm going to add to what seems to be the tone of most less that 5 star reviews on here. I love the food. I've tried about 7 different menu items in my three trips to dine in. Every time the service is subpar. I went in on 1/11 around 8pm to a very busy place with only 2 servers actually working. The bartender talked to another employee for 15 minutes before bother to check on the customers seated at the bar or existing customers. I had to interrupt their personal conversation just to order. I've actually now stopped going into the restaurant and treat this place as a to go stop when I don't want to cook to avoid the bad service. I'm a great tipper and give a lot of leeway to servers and bartenders as I did both while finishing school. But there's no excuse for this. The first time I went, I had lichee soju. It was amazing. The bartender then told me the were about to have a meeting because all the staff takes liquor on the side they got busted...very odd that this info would be told to a customer. It seemed as if the was not enough staff members or delegation of duties. All staff was seating customers, cleaning tables, serving food, bar tending. I ordered nearly $100 worth of food online to pickup curbside, identifying my car in the order. Received a confirmation email with time for pick up. I parked in front--nearly empty spaces--and waited several minutes. Nothing. I tried calling their phone number a couple of times and got a "mailbox is full" message. So I went in. The hostess said they had no record of my order and that their tablet wasn't working all the time--only some orders came in. It was going to take at least another 25 minutes for my order. I said I wanted a refund and was told they'd have to take my credit card number and do it later. I asked for the manager, who after the 2nd request, came out. In the mean time, I heard a server tell another customer that orders were backed up due a large party, so I figured my order was going to be even longer. Finally the manager came out and said they could have my food in 5 minutes--25 minutes after my confirmation stated). I was worried it wouldn't be prepared correctly, but mostly it was. We got everything except the pickled radish (which really helps cool the spice level). Food was pretty good, but the whole process was extremely frustrating. read more

No one said anything until finally a worker from the back who was bringing food to a family member saw us sitting there asked about our order. She then left and never came back. Make sure you like soy sauce and spicy food. My first visit here was interesting enough to bring me back with my family. However, second visit was totally different. First off, our waiter was terrible. We couldn't say half a sentence before he ran off each and every time he came to the table. We had to yell across the room each time. He never came back once to fill up refills. The food- the wings that came out were not right. They were taken in the back and brushed over to attempt to make them the correct sauce. When you ask a server if a dish is spicy and they reply immediately with 'yes', you know it is. That being said, it was SO good! We came in for lunch and all ordered variations on fried chicken. The wings are cooked so well, and the spicy flavor is spot on. Just hot enough to hurt, but still taste good. The soy sauce wings are really flavorful and I really enjoyed them. The standard legs are massive, and next time I'd probably just get the wings as I had plenty of food to eat for ~$13. The pickled radish was the perfect compliment to the spice. The service was great, super attentive and very honest about the choices and the spice level. I knew what I was getting into and loved every bite. My husband, despite my many warnings and reminders failed to place our chicken wing order for Super Bowl Sunday ahead of time. Enter Bonchon to the rescue! I've only had their wings so my 5 star review is based solely on that. Right before the start of half time on SuperBowl Sunday (it took all of the first half for me to finish complaining about the lack of chicken wings in my tummy), my husband placed a to go order over the phone. He was back at home with a steaming order of half spicy and half soy by the time Gaga was done telling folks about her poker face. Bonchon does not take the term spicy lightly. The dang spicy wings are spicy. Like burn your stomach open spicy. You'll want to stop eating them but they hurt so good!! They were crunchy yet saucy, spicy yet savory, and perfectly sized. It was love at first taste. And if the spicy is too spicy feel free to wuss out - I mean cool down the spice - by dipping them in ranch. The soy wings were delicious as well. Wonderful flavor and perfectly cooked. But obviously spicy was my favorite. My daughter was able to enjoy them as well. The only downside, if I had to find one, is that they are a little pricy. My new favorite place to get Korean fried chicken!! There are only two sauces you can get, soy garlic and spicy, or if you want a mix combination of both, half/half. Made the mistake of ordering spicy the first time and was filled with so much regrets! It is definitely for people who enjoy spicy. The soy garlic is so flavorful and the the batter is literally soaked in it. The way they fry the chicken also makes it incredibly crispy and every bite is filled with flavorful bursts to remind you of the good life. Every time we go, we always order the combo of legs and wings. In my opinion, the thighs/ legs are way too big to make it enjoyable. They're also not as packed with flavor like the wings. We also order the jap chai on top of our order which is like clear noodles mixed with bulgogi meat, mushroom, carrots, onions and etc. Definitely recommend that as well. They also have mixed lemonade beverages (mango lemonade, etc.) and it's free refills. However, they take some time to make so you don't really get an instant refill. Service was great and attentive.
