    Spicy chicken fried rice
    Cheryl A.

This was my first time ordering from here. I chose the spicy chicken fried rice, with a fried egg. It could not be any better. I would give it six stars if I could. If you like spicy, this is for you. Tons of flavor, the extra cucumber added just a little more flavor than usual. This was a DoorDash order, so I can't comment on the ambience, but the service was quick, and my food arrived in perfect condition!

As usual excellent chicken with soy garlic. It is just super good. Service also very very excellent.

takeout: spicy chicken sliders these really disappointed with the little nugget of chicken pieces in mine. my friend got the same and their pieces looked more full. the flavors were balancing together. I'm not the biggest coleslaw fan, but have been trying to be more optimistic about it lol this one was on the sweeter side which balanced the chicken but i was missing something sour * 4/10

Stopped in after a walk. They were some of the few places that were open due to pandemic and violent times within the uptown areas. They were open for indoor seating with distance and masks. Staff was fast and friendly. Place was nice and clean. We ordered the chicken wings (mixed sweet and spicy) with some coleslaw and some takoyaki. Chicken wings were nice and crispy. All delicious. Would like to come back and try other items on menu.

We tried bonchon delivery during this lovely pandemic we are having. It came very quickly, which is always a plus! This could have been due to many factors I will not go into detail on though. On to the food: the fried chicken was amazing! I didn't even know there was such a thing as Korean fried chicken (sorry i need to get out more). The fried chicken itself is so perfectly crispy! It's not that greasy crispy like other places. And the sauces on them.... soooo goood. I'm not a spicy fan so I haven't tried that one yet but the garlic soy and sweet crunch hit the spot. Every bite was so savory and delicious. Now the other menu items we tried didn't compare. I feel like they had potential though. The pork buns just didn't have the flavor I was hoping for. The Korean tacos were okay. They had too much sauce over them that overpowered everything else. I was really hoping to get a good taste of the meat on them but it was drowned out by the ranch and spicy mayo. For sure delicious fried chicken that I would recommend to anyone!

Get the seasoned fries and the wings. The basic fries taste nothing in comparison to the seasoned. Wings are tasty and crunchy! Can't go wrong with that. The Tteobokki wasn't bad but I didn't feel like they put enough rice cakes in it It felt like spicy chicken sauce and that it.

It's been a few years since I've had Bonchon and, full disclosure, I was living in Virginia the last time I had it before now. But I remember it being way different and much better. Which is a super bummer because I was so excited when this location opened up! I ordered delivery and tried all three flavors of the wings. The sweet crunch flavor was definitely my favorite! I don't remember bonchon having drumsticks and wings, but that's what I got. I thought the wings were super greasy and the other flavors didn't really stand out. It was a lackluster experience after having so much hype. I'll be back around to try again in a few months! Hopefully they're just ironing out some kinks since it's so new.

Soooo my husband brought me carry out from Bonchon. It was spicy and wonderful. The sweet wings were good and tasty but the spicy wings were my favorite. They are real spicy not the Minnesota version of spicy. The flavor is satisfying and the spice is awesome. The Bulgogi Fried Rice was also a winning choice. It was flavorful and cooked nicely. The Chop on the red peppers was a little larger than I like but did not take away from the flavor. The coleslaw had a good sweet flavor with just enough acid to balance the flavor nicely. The carry out was good I'm looking forward to the dine in experience.

We went in there assuming the place would be packed but to our surprise most of their orders were take outs and although there were a few other people dining in, the staff was moving around non-stop, handling the orders, serving the food, accepting the payments etc. Props to him Our orders were served warm, tasted delicious and spicy ( as they should be ) and price was reasonable considering the location. Their restrooms were clean as well. The only thing I hope they improve is their selection of beverages. I opted for tap water since they carry only Pepsi products and I'm a Coca Cola person( Sorry ) Overall, it was a great food date with my gf.

Chicken was soooooo good! I mostly only eat chicken, so when I heard there was new "chicken place" opening I was so excited. I figured it would be super busy after it first opened because, well hype and seeing all the Instragram pictures and post. It looked really good in the photos btw. By time we went, I guess the hype has died down, wasn't busy or packed at all. My sister and I decided to give it a try. We ordered a 10 piece mix (half spicy, half regular), Thai fried rice (without the red pepper) and fries. The chicken was really good and crunchy. The spicy was really spicy (I mean it really had a kick, and I love spicy food) and the regular wings (still had sauce) were really good as well. The chicken wings were pretty big, with the sides we ended up only eating 3 wings each and bringing 4 home. Even the left overs stayed crunchy. The Thai fried rice was pretty basic rice. I liked it but my sister did not. She didn't think it had enough flavor. The Fries were just fries. Nothing Special. It's a cute small restaurant. I feel like it had enough seating but it's all kind of too close together. I think next time I'd be more comfortable taking out. There's metered parking out front, even if you are only running in to grab your take order I would just pay for parking. I seen a few cars get tickets for parking at meters for not paying and parking in areas where it says no parking between certain times. The chicken is probably worth the parking ticket though, to be honest, lol. I just don't want any on my record.

Across the board is a perfect blend of classic and modern that makes for the perfect place to enjoy your evening. The space is gorgeous and combines original details with modern touches (we particularly admired the fun sconces). It's elegant and inviting. In addition to the beauty, plenty of soft surfaces keep it comfortable and keep it easy to hear your companions, even as the restaurant fills up. This restaurant makes me want to convert a room in my house into a lounge so that I can borrow the vibe and host chic gatherings. The service was absolutely great. Our server Kelsea, along with other staff members who stopped by, made for a wonderful experience. Kelsea was highly knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. I really appreciated how communicative she was, especially about the vegetarian options. All the gold stars! The food was fantastic. In addition to a solid set of classic dishes (don't miss the japche!), Minari offers fusion-y goodness and modern twists on old favorites. For instance, a crushed cucumber banchan got its heat from horseradish. Our meal began with a welcome cup of roasted corn tea, which was quite lovely and whetted our appetite. We got the potato salad, japche, and tempura for our starters. It's hard to pick a favorite, it truly is. The japche was spot on: the flavors and textures were just what I remember from my time teaching in Seoul, and I liked that the noodles were extra-thick. The tempura was exceptional--the batter is light, the veggies tender, and the off-the-chart crunch memorable. The sesame sauce? Sublime. The potato salad was unique in a wonderful way: kewpie mayo (of course!) with miso, crunchy celery, chervil, and negi green onions. Don't miss that one, either. For my main, I got the Dan Dan madalfine: an extra-long noodle with a ruffle edge that came with sesame sauce, chili crisp, king oyster mushrooms, and baby bok choy. It was extra-delicious: I highly recommend it. The portions are quite generous, so you'll have tomorrow's dinner all ready. Dessert was another highlight. My friend ordered the Yam Roulade (I might possibly have applied a bit of peer pressure because I wanted to try it). It was very, very good: it will remind you a bit of a pumpkin spice cake, but it has a slightly firmer crumb and doesn't have the squash undertones that pumpkin desserts sometimes have. Poached pear, honeycomb, and vanilla gelato stacked on additional flavors and textures. It was really very delicious. You may be wondering why I didn't order it myself. Well, I was highly intrigued by what I did order: the dalgona miso caramel tart. (You had me at dalgona, but add miso and caramel? I could probably be lured into an unmarked van with that.) It was very delicious: balanced, unique, and rich (I had to tap out on the few bites, so I guess I have dessert handled as well). The tart itself was not too sweet, with saltiness and bitterness adding balance. The creamy whipped mascarpone helped cut the richness, and the sesame crisps added another layer of texture and flavor. The strawberry compote was absolutely joy-inducing. A final shout-out for the non-alcoholic beverage options: they were great! I got to try two of them, the chosun and the wangja. The former is a perfect summer drink: sweet-tart and refreshing, it has just a touch of heat from the gochijang honey. Think paloma's sister who went off to study art overseas and came back full of stories. The wangja was more on the bittersweet end of things and went very well as a meal-end digestif. All in all, very pleasing! Bonus points for the convenient parking lot right across the street !

Also ordered gyoza, fried rice, black bean noodles, seaweed salad, and a shrimp tempura roll. All were delicious, but we ended up with far too much food for just two people. We ended up arriving around 30 minutes early after driving up from Rochester, but luckily they we were accommodate the early arrival and seated us immediately. Service is on the more upscale end. I found it interesting that chopsticks aren't given by default even for the noodle soups - the server only brings them out if requested. Thai Tea French Toast ($25) - This French Toast is a tower of carb-filled, dessert deliciousness, in a much larger portion size than I expected upon my initial order. It includes two resplendently towering slices of croissant loaf, easily reaching 4 inches in height in total, not to mention the extra bit of whip dolloped atop. The toast is, of course, soaked in a dairy rich Thai tea solution, then griddled until toasty. The bottoms are dark black in color, but there's no acridity to be had. Instead, they are sweet and slightly vanilla scented, boosted by the stabilized vanilla bean cream on top. I can't say there's much Thai Tea flavor in the mix though - it's only hinted at in certain bites towards the center. I must say that croissant dough is a great base for French toast. The natural airy chewiness really makes a tender and moist crumb when soaked. (5/5) Asian Chicken Noodle Soup ($24) - We were not expecting much out of this soup given the generic name, but we loved it in the end. The soup base has a thick and luscious mouthfeel, like it's been simmering for hours upon hours. It's similar in texture to a cornstarch thickened broth, although there's no gloopiness at all. It's rich with flavor, fragrant with chicken essence and peppery umami. The noodles here are thick as typical udon noodles and are cut into bite sized pieces. They have a great bouncy quality that somehow stays the same texture throughout the entire meal - even after 20 minutes or so, the noodles were just as bouncy as when they first arrived. Apparently these are made with a heavier tapioca starch blend - I assume the excess starch is what thickens the soup as well. In terms of toppings, there's first a substantial amount of boneless chicken. It's sliced up, but left skin-on and with the fat not completely trimmed off. This helps the chicken remain moist and succulent, and flavorful from lemongrass and other herbs and spices. There are then a bunch of herbs, fresh bamboo shoots, a tender soft boiled egg, and fried scallion bits. The soup comes with a small cup of house made chili crisp on the side. Be careful - this one is potent. A little goes a long way given how it's far spicier than typical chili crisp. (5/5) We were inside the restaurant for just over an hour and it was an enjoyable experience from beginning to end. While we were stuffed, we decided to jaunt over to the cafe side to take a look at some of the pastries (which can also be ordered at the table if desired!) Green Scallion Danish ($6) - Just the right amount of salty scallion punch in this croissant. It's like the classic Chinese scallion bread, but in a westernized format, with scallion yousu/roux mixed into the bake. While laminated, the flakiness and open honeycomb pattern aren't quite there. It's perhaps more brioche-like in resemblance in terms of texture. At any rate, it's sweet, salty, and super scallion fragrant. Delicious. (5/5) Diane's Place is excellent. Perhaps Americanized in some ways vs. the more traditional Hmong cooking in Hmong Village, but is delicious in its own way. I'm so glad to have ended my trip to Minnesota on such a high note! So, Diane, if you're reading this, it's a promise! This is my second time visiting, thanks to the introduction of my coworker, and each time never fails to meet my satisfaction. To start, I feel like it's a crime to not order the Hmong sausage so I added that order along with the chicken noodle soup, a dish that sounds good for my aching, allergic body. The Hmong sausage was cooked nicely, consisting of its famous snapping of the skin, covering its juicy meaty fillings. The sticky rice always pairs nicely with it, and the sauce packs a punch--be careful to over drizzle your dish with it. The noodle appears to be handmade, resulting in a nice chewy texture. The toppings and the chicken were deliciously paired together. However, the main star is the broth--very rich, savory, and hearty. Highly recommend you get this dish, especially on a colder and/or sick day. The interior is beautifully decorated, clean and cozy atmosphere. I noticed a cafe right off to the side where you may be able to drop in quickly and go; will need to try that next time.
