Hip place for korean wings As a store that is part of the Bonchon chain, this store is pretty consistent. The wings taste the same as most other Bonchon locations, twice fried and served hot. Portions are pretty big, especially the daikons. Unfortunately the spicy rice cakes tteokbokki tastes kind of weird, and stale. Maybe they put cheese in it? Definitely the color of the sauce looks orange instead of the expected red color, and don't taste spicy at all. Maybe they modified it for the non-korean crowd to make it less spicy. In any case, was a little disappointing since the tteokbokki here costs more than what you would pay for at korean food places. In any case, the staff are friendly, and the food comes quickly. Inside, the tables are clean, and the interior is very modern and hip. Price is a little high for korean food, but the price is consistent with other Bonchon locations, so price is not a big deal. Shared parking lot. Moderately busy in the afternoon on a weekday. Plenty of seating and popular for couples and large groups. Clean interior. Most of the staff do not wear masks, but multiple hand sanitizer dispensers are posted by the entrances and near the restrooms. The service is great for the most part - the staff are friendly and check on you often. Someone came by to refill our waters twice. The food comes out relatively quickly. They quote a 30 minute wait for fried chicken on their menu, so that's something to keep in mind if you're short on time. I only realized it way after the fact, but we were charged full price for seasoned fries even though we came (and left) during happy hour, when it should have been discounted. The popcorn shrimp came out hot but had a slightly fishy aftertaste. The spicy mayo was okay, though not the best I've had. The seasoned French fries were good, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They came out hot and retained heat well. read more

First time trying this place today. Was recommended to try by my fiancée as he has enjoyed the one and only thing he has got from there which was the chicken katsu plate (chicken & white rice.) Today we wanted to try a lot of different things. We tried the popcorn shrimp - not good at all, it had a metal taste to it, four us tried & all did not like. My fiancée decided to try the bone-in wings & drums, he got the bone-in wings plain which he strongly regrets because they are flavorless, just tasted like pure batter. With sauce gave it some flavor of course. The drums were nice & crispy but same thing he got them plain, which again he strongly regrets tasted like pure batter but the chicken inside was nice & soft but still pretty flavorless. Customer service - we placed order online, smooth & easy process. Once we arrived we checked in & waited for our name to be called. I saw a lot of bags kept being placed but no names were being called so figured I already checked in they will tell me once my order comes out, never happened, after waiting patiently for 20 minutes I checked in again & my bag was sitting there for a while, that really upset me. They definitely need to be on top of calling out names for every bag that keeps coming out, especially when 6-7 people on average are waiting for their orders. Definitely need to improve their pick up customer service. Ambiance - nice inside, and clean. Thought it would smell strong in there but it does not. Great music too. So overall, we were disappointed with their plain options as all were flavorless. Will say everything was nice & crispy, & nicely packaged. Employees were friendly. I was greeted and quickly seated. My waitress, a young blond gal, was incredibly friendly and definitely tried hyping me up several times. I ordered a small combo (12 pieces) which came with a choice of one of two side options. I also ordered beer which was $1 off because of Happy Hour. The meat pieces were very generous. I don't recall chicken legs being that ginormous. I opted for half Soy Garlic and half KBBQ for the flavors. Couldn't really tell it was KBBQ. But regardless, they were both delicious! My only complaint is that they were not saucy enough. The place I went to near Tahoe, there was sauce dripping on the plate so you can coat your chicken pieces in it. Unfortunately, our experience with Bonchon was not good. We had been to and loved Bonchon's Oregon location, but our recent experience at the Sacramento/Natomas location was subpar. The boneless chicken was very overcooked and was more like hard, round mini golf balls than the chicken we had enjoyed at another Bonchon location. None of us enjoyed them. On top of that, the staff was inattentive and seemed more interested in chatting & laughing with each other than providing service to anyone. Additionally, our table had not been appropriately cleaned after the previous customer(s) and was quite sticky. I've only been to the Arden location and this is my first time here. I stopped by around 1230 for lunch.As soon as I walked in I noticed how this is more a restaurant theme than the Arden location. I was promptly seated and given a menu. The space inside looks nice with black tables and gray chairs. They also have a bar area! As far as alcohol they have draft beer, bottled beer, and bonchon wines! I ordered the lunch special that consisted of 4 wings and 2 drums. For my side I upgraded and got the seasoned fries. I've been a huge Bonchon fan since I tried their Elk Grove location. I've been looking forward to trying this location ever since they started talking about opening one up in Natomas. It took long enough for them to open up and the question is, was it worth the wait? In short, the answer is yes. Their food quality and selections are excellent. We ordered all three flavor options: soy garlic, sweet crunch and spicy. Since I'm not really good with spicy foods, I only had the soy garlic and the sweet crunch. This was my first time trying the sweet crunch and I really liked it. It was similar to an American honey glaze sauce. The wings were HUGE! Both the drummies and the flats were a really big and we ended up having leftovers because we did not anticipate them being that size. We also ordered the seasoned fries and the cole slaw for sides. The seasoned fries were like crack, I couldn't stop eating them. I'm not a huge slaw fan, but I really liked it. I usually order their pickled radish, which I LOVE. Service was great. The servers were punctual and attentive. This was my first time at this location and the first time to Bonchon for my friends. They had happy hour and we checked it out for beer and app selections. They took our order promptly. Our drinks and food came out in a timely manner. They came by enough to ensure that we had everything we needed. This restaurant is located in a large strip mall anchored by Marshals and Planet Fitness. I thought parking would be a challenge since it was a Friday night during the busy holiday season, but I was able to find parking easily.
