    Korean Fried Chicken Menu

My son and I stopped by Bonchon on the way back from camping at Collins Lake. We got takeout of 30 wings with 2 flavors: soy garlic and Korean BBQ flavors, and we got 2 orders of pork belly bao buns. These 2 of are our favorite dishes here. They just opened, so it was not busy yet. Service as quick and we got our food within 10 or so minutes. If you are in the mood for some basic Korean food and Korean fusion, then give them a try.

Delicious spot! Friendly service. Was not busy with it being Easter. We will be back soon.

Quick, friendly service and delicious food. The team was able to seat my large group immediately and treated us very well!

One of the places I make sure to go to when I go to North Natomas! Ordered 10 pcs soy garlic and crispy chicken drumsticks. 2 rice, bulgogi fries and corn dog. We have a friendly service. There's hand sanitizers out the dining area. Two gender neutral restrooms. Love that there is kid stepstool, and baby changing diaper available.

Came in on a Friday around 11:15am to place a to go order. The restaurant was empty with exception of four other groups doing to go or pickups. The employee at the register was polite, efficient but not too friendly. (Which was ok today :). My to go order, Seoul sampler and five piece drumsticks was ready super fast. Everything was great.

    Pork Belly Bao Bun--tasty bite

We made a visit for a late lunch on a Friday while out & about. The decor is minimal & modern with black tables, black wooden benches, & metal chairs. There is a bar area with sports on the TVs. It was roomy & clean. Fun pop music played in the background. The staff was friendly & helpful. We were seated, served water, & able to order quickly. We were checked in on multiple times, but even when we were obviously done, we still had to call attention to get our check. Though it got busier, we were acknowledged when we left. Our order-- Chicken Sandwich with Yangnyeom Sauce--tender chicken, crunchy exterior, slaw was tangy, sauce was sweet & spicy Side of Seasoned Fries--great texture, good taste, a lot of dry seasoning was in the bottom of the bowl that didn't stick onto the fries, served with ketchup Pork Belly Bao Buns--soft pillowy buns were warm on arrival, pork belly was meaty & tender (but amount in each bun wasn't consistent), tasty sauces, crunchy veggies, all around yummy little nibbles Overall, a good spot to grab a tasty bite.

Ordered mixed wings to go with half spicy, half yangnyeom. The spicy were super spicy like habanero or slightly hotter but I liked the yangnyeom flavor a lot. Wings were also crispy like advertised. I was hungry so I decided to eat a couple wings before departing the restaurant. Good thing I did bc the first wing I took out had a huge hair on it! Took my order back to the kitchen and they made me a new batch. I ended up staying at the restaurant longer than I hoped bc of this incident. At other establishments, when I found a hair in my food, they have given me a discount on my order or comped my food. Glad they replaced it but I expected at least a discount for the inconvenience.

The food was pretty good not bad at all just the spicy and the buldak sauce taste was overpowering the food, the wait was not bad but it took a few minutes, and the overall experience was pretty good, and Would come again.

    Generic Response

Hi Bonchon, I did contact you via your feedback form. Your response was a generic lackluster corporate email saying "Sorry, but I hope you try us again" That said, your message feels procedural rather than responsive to the specific experience described. This was not simply a lapse in attentiveness -- it involved inconsistent information, visible disregard for our table, and conduct that felt openly dismissive. When customers take the time to provide detailed feedback, it is typically in good faith with the expectation that the business will meaningfully address the situation. An invitation to "give us another opportunity" without any tangible gesture of accountability does not fully resolve the concern. I value the quality of your food and would prefer to continue patronizing your establishment. However, restoring confidence requires more than a generalized apology. I would welcome a response that more directly reflects that understanding.

Got the 20 piece boneless wings with soy garlic and spicy sauces, plus the bulgogi fried rice at Bonchon in El Dorado Hills. The wings were super crispy and flavorful. The soy garlic was savory and sweet, while the spicy had a nice kick. The bulgogi fried rice was tasty and packed with flavor. Great portions and everything came out fresh. Will definitely come back! We ordered with their self service machine.

I love how crispy the friend chicken is here. Plus the fries are super flavorful. I'm so glad they added the sauce that's half spicy and half soy! That's my favorite option. I usually get the radish instead of rice as the side. Parking is usually available since it's in a huge parking lot. I recently started DoorDashing and it's still super fresh and hot!

Came here on my lunch break. I only get 45 minutes. So the fact that I was able to enjoy my meal and get back to work in time speaks for itself. The service was fast, in a good way. And the food was delicious. This is a spacious restaurant. So if you came with a group, y'all would be good.

They have a variety of different fusion flavors that all tie to Korean cuisine. A must get is for sure their Booty Booldak; other than the fun name lol, it's served with crispy taters and cheese melted on top. I also tried their Kimchi Karbonara for the first time! It was good, but I wished there were more noodles, because we were left with a lot of bacon bits in the end. Our server, Sierra, was so sweet! She was welcoming and friendly, and we even had great conversations with her. She was also quick at serving us and getting what we needed.

Apparently that night was their 3 (?) year anniversary, so not sure if this is always the case but they did have a whole live DJ on the main floor. When we arrived there were a couple other tables dining. There isn't much seating inside, and most of the tables ended up being blocked off for bottle service lol Me and my girl were there to eat so we ordered as many dishes as our tiny table could handle! Kimchi Carbonara - TBH this tasted like spaghetti... with some kimchi and bacon. It wasn't bad, but it tasted exactly the way I described it. They should just take the carbonara out of the dish's name completely. I wouldn't order it again, just cause the bacon flavor was really smokey and strong. Spicy wings - These were actually really good! Served with pickled jalapenos, pickled radish, and a cabbage salad! Just make sure you get some rice on the side. The wing sauce was spicy! Not overly, but just enough. It was sweet but not too sweet. I would recommend! Mandu- Decent. Not spectacular, but a good side to round out your meal. The dipping sauce was yummy, a nice sweet soy. Pink Venom - The flavor was so good. Tasted like a pink starburst. If you like sweet drinks, this one is it! Didn't taste the alcohol at all though. Parking sucks so bad, we had to park a couple blocks away and cross some train tracks but we made it! The waiters were so nice and checked up on us even with the whole party going on. The bouncers though didn't pass the vibe check and I didn't really like that we got IDed so many times. We're in our mid 30s lol.. be frr. The whole vibe is fun, they have a full bar and apparently in the back room, it's another bar/lounge scene. It wasn't that type of night for me, but I would come back to eat and hang out if I was in the area. Keep in mind though, the crowd is early 20s!

First of all, the food served is exactly like the photos. I got the short rib bun burger and bulgogi gyoza. The burger (omg) had a balance of sweet and salty but also a little spicy. Halfway through I noticed something yellow, it was a pineapple! Usually I have mixed feelings about pineapple with foods like pizza. But this complimented so well. Now, the gyoza. Crispy and you can't go wrong with bulgogi. What I was surprised with was inside I think it was japchae! If you like Korean food like me, I was so excited to see this twist. And yes it was yummy. I seem to get lucky most times and get to meet the owners. That day I met them and they're so nice! I can tell they put a lot of thought into the menu, ingredients, decor, etc. The owners are Japanese and Korean. Hence KoJa! Even this detail was really impressive. I ended up going back because the owner told me that his wife (also owner) created Yang Nyum and it was really good and popular. So I got Yang Nyum, kamikaze fries, and taro boba. The portions were great. But most of all, he was right about Yang Nyum, delicious! I didn't realize the kamikaze fries had beef, so yummy but I definitely overate that day, lol. One other thing I really liked was you could order at the register or kiosk. This is a great way to avoid lines. Once you order they have a screen that shows your ETA (why do other restaurants not have this?). I did go during the day though. So, I can only imagine how amazing it looks at night. Especially after dancing or bar hopping, the food here would pair well. Koja also sells alcohol too though and apparently downstairs is where the dancing is at. Will I go here again, absolutely.

Yelp knows my taste buds... Inside there is lots of signage helping me know what to do. The host/waiter asked me what i wanted to eat. I snap ordered the lemongrass pork noodles. Pickled jalapeños, lime, peppers, chopsticks and napkins at the bar/tables. Lemongrass Pork Noodle: the fish sauce with tiny peppers was a nice amount of spice, pork well-marinated & well-cooked, decent amount of lettuce and cucumber My main critique is that the protein serving felt smaller; i was very hungry- didn't eat breakfast, didn't have coffee yet - and i didn't end feeling super full. $21 out the door felt a bit pricier. That being said,y taste buds were happy and I thought the overall value was good. I plan to be back if I am in the area and I recommend checking this spot out if you are near. Ttobongee (Manna Bunsik) has officially closed as of May 25th, 2025…read more I was a huge fan of their kimchi spam fried rice, bulgogi beef set, and bulgogi kimbap. I'd also tried their yang nyum fried chicken, Korean corn dog, dduk bok gi, tofu soup, banana milk and Soon Hari soju. The bone broth soup was so good, there were a few times when I just got a large/double order of that to go. Service was always friendly and great, and I heard that the owners are moving out of state to be closer to family due to illness. Sad to see them go. Wonder what will take its place, until then Natomas only really has the chain Bonchon left for Korean food.

The food is very tasty and the portions are nice. Service was very friendly too. They were so busy today they ran out of beef bulgogi but offered us a generous alternative as an apology. We finished very full and had lots of leftovers. KFC boneless: crunchy with nice strong sauces. Too salty for our palates but very tasty. Banchan: large scoops were given, our favorite was the broccoli, beef bone broth and japchae. Chicken bulgogi set and tofu soup set: both were fabulous. Chicken had a nice char, soup had large pieces of tofu. Dumpling soup: the pork mandu were very yummy. It's a large portion soup. I'm gonna try to come here a few more times before they close. I think the prices are comparable to other Korean restaurants in the Sacramento area, maybe a little cheaper.

There is a designated parking lot across the street, so it's easy to grab a spot and walk over. Just be careful because the parking spots in the lot aren't well marked and it's easiest to just park neatly next to other cars. We like to sit at the bar if there's just two of us, and will grab a table when we have friends. If you want to make sure you have a table, you can make a reservation ahead of time, but we usually don't need to wait too long. Our favorites are the brussel sprouts, karaage chicken, and their nigiri. We also really enjoy the sukiyaki, it's really flavorful and perfect for cooler or rainy weather. We still need to come by for brunch, but we've heard good things. The team here is always friendly, and we've been in enough that some of them recognize us now.

Spacious restaurant with extensive happy hour menu but food misses the mark…read more We came on a Tuesday for the happy hour menu. A lot of options to choose from, with decent discounts off the main menu. We got the ryokucha berry cocktail and kitaku suru. Both were definitely on the sweeter side of cocktails, but decent. We ordered a number of things off the happy hour menu. Sushi quality wasn't the best. Reminiscent of supermarket sushi. The brussels sprouts were pretty good but very salty and eventually very heavy. The kalbi fries tasted exactly like we expected, also nothing crazy. We also got the cod taco and the poke taco to try. Both fairly bland. Overall, the menu is extensive but food quality and taste were just okay. Service was great though, our server was super nice and the food came out really fast. Probably wouldn't come back but maybe worth once just for happy hour.

Yum! Was unsure about lunch one day so the husband brought home Kindred Seoul. He swore by them…read more(he's a state worker nearby the restaurant and has had them many times before). I ordered the beef cupbop and it hit the spot! All the flavors I could've asked for: sweet, salty, umami goodness. The rice was perfectly fluffy, the japchae nicely cooked, and the beef was so tasty. Great portion and was a nice, warm lunch on a cold day. If you're a state worker and haven't tried them yet, you need to! Delicious Korean food that's fresh and filling!

Located in the Allenby Building State building in Downtown Sacramento. They have a vast eating area…read morethat you can bring your own lunch if you choose, you don't have to order from Kindred Seoul to eat in the building. I've only eaten here once, but it appeared that was plenty of seating for many more people. When we walk by it's never been packed. Parking is mostly street parking with some parking in local garages. They have 2 very clean unisex bathrooms to the right of the counter. You order at the counter and then they call your number. We arrived a few minutes after Noon. There was only 1 person in-front of us and 1 person behind us so we thought it would be a quick lunch. As it turns out several people went through the line before us and the wait was around 15 minutes. Kind of an excessive wait for a counter lunch. There was one girl holding her baby taking the orders and one girl filling the orders. She was going as fast as she could, but it still took awhile. It got really backed up. I ordered the BBQ Beef Cupbop. I didn't know what to expect. As it turns out the bottom layer is white rice, next is a layer of glass noodles, then comes the can corned, a mixture of cabbage, and topped with the BBQ Beef. It was very tasty. A little on the spicy side, which made it just more flavorful. It wasn't mouth watering or eye tearing hot. It just had a little kick. The consistency of the meat reminded me of ground beef. It was very finely chopped strips. Overall it was really good. Very filling for the amount you get. It's more than we usually have for lunch. My husband had the chicken soy ginger. I had some and it was really good, but fried, so probably not as healthy as the BBQ Beef. It doesn't appear that they cook to order any food here, but they do scoop to order. From what I could see they sell a variety of Cupbop flavors, including a vegetarian option. They also sell sandwiches, salads, and a burrito. They have an ice water dispenser at the end of the counter with water cups. The vibe was interesting. You are surrounded by state worker from all different agencies all minding their own business. Many groups of 2-6 were eating together. There were less singles than groups.
