Came with a friend for dinner on a cold Thursday night, and the place was packed! Good thing we got reservations. Funny enough, I've never tried BondST despite living in NYC forever and hearing great things about their sushi. Finally, got to try their infamous tuna tarts and crispy rice! I ordered a Tito's martini which was made super well, but pricy - $28... We shared: -spicy tuna crispy rice -spicy crab crispy rice -Tuna tarts -Wagyu and foie gras dumplings -scallop roll -spicy yellowtail roll Honestly everything was amazing, but i wasn't blown away by the quality. Definitely really good though, but not sure the price is warranted.... Some rolls were close to $40! We also shared the crispy banana dumplings for dessert. Those were fried well and came on a chocolate sauce and yummy whipped cream. Overall, really cool spot for a special date night or GNO but wouldn't make it apart of your daily rotation.

Service was quick and attentive. Food was good but pricier than I would like. When it comes to just the food and service, it is easily a four out of five. Now onto the total experience, it would definitely be a two out of five. We came here for a birthday celebration but the vibes were slightly ruined because of the party next to us. The party next to us was celebrating an engagement that occurred right before their dinner. Not sure if the restaurant was aware as once the newly engaged couple and others joined, they had to bring many chairs to fit the whole group. They were a bit rude and obnoxious, but we tried to understand to the best of our ability as it was a joyous occasion for them. Whether it was constant flashing (photos) for 2 hours or bumping into us while they got around the table, we really tried to understand. I commend the staff for trying to calm the situation down for both our party and the party next to us as frustrations were shared. Appreciate the comped desserts for dealing with the party next to us.

Big eye tuna tarts, tuna crispy rice, grilled octopus, pan roasted salmon, pressed eel roll, lobster tempura roll, bread pudding... of the 7 items, I would reorder 3 - the big eye tuna tarts, tuna crispy rice, and bread pudding Are the vibes cute? Yes. The service? Excellent. But if I'm going to a restaurant, I expect to be blown away by the food, not just the vibes and service. The big eye tuna tarts and tuna crispy rice were packed with flavor and I would definitely recommend. The tuna crispy rice was really crispy, slightly spicy w the gochujang. I couldn't really taste the white truffle for the tuna tarts but the creamy ponzu was delicious I was most disappointed with the sushi rolls. Eel is one of my go to orders when I'm eating sushi and while it was good, it was nothing unique, besides the addition of the almonds, which weren't even toasted like they described. The lobster tempura roll was a major miss. The flavor profile was lacking lobster, when that should be the star of the dish. For the price tag of $62 for two rolls, definitely not worth it The grilled octopus and pan roasted salmon were good but I've had better versions at other restaurants The bread pudding, is to die for. Never had anything like it. SO SO DELICIOUS!!!

Some of the best sushi I've had. The space is dimly let and the service was great! They have several floors, each with a different vibe to them. We started with the tuna tart and the scallops with cauliflower appetizers. The tuna tart was one of the best things I've eaten all year - worth the hype. The mixed green ginger salad was also incredible!! I got the spicy tuna roll and it was so fresh and amazing quality. Ended with the mochi ice cream (comes with 6 total, 2 of each of the 3 flavors). I fear that cheap takeout sushi is ruined for me because of how good this meal was.

Phenomenal! Third time eating at BondST in Hudson Yards and every time blown away. Amazing sushi & rolls that are well balanced and decadent to taste. Top rated for date night or business dinner and must go for any sushi aficionado. A+

The food was fantastic and there were so many choices. The waiter was so helpful and suggested options for each section definitely get their help if it is your first time and save room for dessert. I loved the crispy rice app we got it was one of my favorites. The restaurant it self was beautiful lights with candle creating an intimate atmosphere.

Upon entering, I didn't realize it's actually 3 floors! When we checked in on the 1st floor, we were guided to take the elevators upstairs. It's so dim inside and definitely makes the atmosphere more romantic, but the tables were a bit too close together so you lose that intimate feel. There were some big hits and serious misses. Both cocktails were expertly made and the perfect balance of sweet, aromatic, and luscious. I definitely recommend! The Big Eye Tuna Tarts was my favorite bite all night! It's light, luxurious, and delicate. I love that every layer was so thin but you can still taste every ingredient. The white truffle oil adds the perfect depth, the tart is light and crisp, and the tuna is so fresh and soft. It's definitely going down as one of my favorite bites of 2026. The Szechuan Yellowtail Sashimi had a clean, citrusy flavor more than a kick I was expecting from the Szechuan. It's not spicy at all but more zesty and umami. The A5 Wagyu Crispy Rice was one of their Specials menu items. It was savory fragrant but was lacking a "wow" factor. I would've preferred the A5 wagyu to be cooked or torched. Nothing else we got stood out or would order again. The Spicy Crispy Shrimp was not spicy or crispy. There was a good amount of sesame oil which I enjoyed but not enough to save it. Both rolls were good quality but not cohesive in flavor and felt like they lacked taste. We got 2 desserts but honestly, I'd skip dessert here and go somewhere else. Don't forget to grab a matchbook on your way out. Good try overall!

My friend was raving about this spot on her previous NY trip, so on mine I decided to try it and I'm so glad I did. We ordered the tuna tarts pizza, mushroom salad, salmon roll and a crispy shrimp roll along with shishito pepper margaritas. Everything was delicious. Everything. if you go, PLEASE GET THE TUNA TART PIZZA , you can thank me later :) The service was great. We sat at the bar, our bartender was so cute and kind & always had a smile on his face. & the place is cozy, cute and a whole vibe.

Was really looking forward to trying this place. However was about an hour plus late. So didn't get to sit at the upstairs place. We went downstairs. Low key vibe. Very nice. Dark. Romantic. Food incredible Peppers. Mushroom salad shrimp. Grilled octopus. I had to pack food to go. As was running out of time. Will return for more choices. Great place.

I knew this place was trendy, so I really didn't know what to expect of the food. But, I was completely blown away with our meal! So much so that I made another reservation immediately afterwards to bring my other friends here. The inside is very dark and intimate. We had a pretty big group, so we shared the tuna tarts, tuna crispy rice, crispy shrimp, broiled sea bass, pork belly, skirt steak, spicy tuna roll, scallop roll, toro roll, and the bread pudding. Best dish here is definitely the tuna tarts. Our waiter recommended it, and I'm so glad we ordered it! It's not something that I would usually order, but I could eat like 5 of these myself. Other standouts were the tuna crispy rice, spicy tuna roll, and the miso sea bass. This sea bass tastes like the one at nobu but 100x better. The texture of the fish is indescribable. You just have to try for yourself! This place is pricey though, so it's a great spot for a date night or a special occasion dinner with friends. Or just a normal Friday night. I'm so excited to come back here!

An experience well worth the cost. Everything was delicious, from the salad and tuna crispy rice to the spicy tuna roll, and the ambiance is very nice and elevated. I also enjoyed my martini. Can't wait to go back one day!

The atmosphere and ambiance was great. The food (octopus and scallops) were just okay and nothing I would come back to try again. The service lacked....the main bartender, Miko, seemed to be under a lot of pressure with the demands of making drinks and was therefore not attentive to me and my partner. He definitely was not the friendliest and after we were served our food, he never came over to assure if our order was correct, how everything tasted, or if we needed anything else. For this type of establishment...please do better.

The atmosphere here was a bit more lively and crowded compared to the more relaxed vibe of the UWS spot. I enjoyed my meal even more this time around. I started with the beet salad, which was delicious and offered great value given the generous portion size. it featured sliced beets, arugula, goat cheese, and walnuts. I also had my eye on the hijiki soybean salad--which is a bit smaller and reportedly homemade--so I may try that next time, along with the warm mushroom salad which looked very tasty. The edamame was standard but served as a nice starter. For my main rolls, I chose the salmon avocado and the yellowtail scallion. Both were very fresh and definitely worth ordering again. The salmon avocado roll had a nice touch of sesame seeds on the rice, while the yellowtail scallion was prepared with the seaweed on the outside. My boyfriend's sushi entree looked excellent, so I am considering that or the sushi-sashimi combo for my next visit. Now, having said that although the food was decent, there were a couple of questionable choices in the overall presentation and plating and the sauces that accompany the black cod bento box I ordered, which did not actually come in a box. Everything is brought out piecemeal so you don't get an actual meal before you, but a lot of little plates brought out at different times, kinda like the Japanese equivalent of Tapas. We have been to this location twice, hoping the first time was a fluke, and trying to give them a chance only for the second time to be worse. The waitstaff is entirely disengaged from the customers. They rush you through the order process and don't explain any of the menu offerings, such as what is the difference between the different platter options. When they do come over, you are greeted with the sweetness and warmth of an unemotionally flat "What do you want?" After you get your food, no one comes over to refill water and cups are initially filled halfway with too much ice. No one comes over to remove plates afterward, and they definitely show no interest in finding out if you are enjoying your meal in the least. The booth we were sat at had not been cleaned after the last party's use so there was sauce all over, and it got on the back of my pants, which I later discovered while walking home...the joy. After eating comes the best part, they come over with these tablets outlining your check on the screen. Meanwhile, the tablets are strapped to their bodies the entire time. They don't allow you to scrutinize the charges in peace, no, they stand there impatiently for the duration either swerving from side to side of tapping their foot signaling discomfort that you're taking way too long. The funny part is the straps have clips to remove the tablets so it's not like it's impossible to leave the tablet and come back shortly. The whole process feels very rushed and pressurized for you to tip with one of the predetermined button selections, which start at 25%. Ummm, service sucked so no, we're definitely NOT starting there. I guess now we're both disappointed. Eventually, you get no paper receipt for your records even if you ask for it to be printed. And the whole time, the waitstaff is with you judging you on your tipping and not even being graceful enough to restrain their reaction. So no, not going back, and definitely would not recommend as a place to have a good time. Now, if you're looking for an uncomfortable experience served by someone that completely ignores you during your entire time there and expects an exorbitant tip to boot, then yes, this is the place for you!

Do of course I use Yelp to find something that catches my eye close by where we need to be. I found umami Sushi. We usually can't go wrong with Japanese food or sushi. We had no problems finding the place. The description said it was a small restaurant and as we entered the dining area was very small. Our hotel room was probably bigger. That doesn't bother me especially if we get there, there tables for us to sit comfortably. I also trust my judgment when I find a place that seems to be popular by the locals. The restaurant was empty when we arrived. We were the only ones there, but for some reason we bring good vibes to the places we eat because not too long after we placed our order, people started coming in, to the point that the small dining room was packed. I love Omakase style Service and what we ordered was a sashimi/sushi platter for three and two special rolls. I thought I got to choose the rolls but even that was chefs choice. I was just a bit worried that they would give us the cheap rolls like spicy tuna or California roll. The platter came out and it was beautifully prepared with a piece of sashimi for each of us and the rolls the chefs chose, ended up being two of my favorite rolls. The types of fish they selected were also great quality fish. We were lucky to have placed our order before the crowd came in our we might have had to wait a while because how they prepared it would have taken some time. The service was just right. Because they got busy right away, the waitress was forced to attend to everyone and couldn't really socialize with us. In fact when we finished our platter we were debating what we wanted for dessert but the waitress didn't even ask us and instead she just brought us the bill, so we said to ourselves, "I guess we're not having dessert here." So we paid the bill and gave an opportunity for someone else to take our table.
