All I received was lettuce, two tomatoes, and some sald dressing and maybe 2 pieces of blue cheese crumbles. Nothing else. Terrible.. I got it to go and I will never ever stop here again. Bonefish was a kickass experience for my fiancé and I during our trip to Florida. We came out to tour resorts in preparation for our wedding planning. Bonefish exceeded our expectations! The food at Bonefish surpassed the resort's meals we tried by a long shot! The Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer was incredibly tasty and cooked perfectly. The "Butterfish" (Alaskan Black Cod) was, literally, melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The Dynamite Salmon seriously lived up to its name! The sides of jasmine rice, spinach and mushrooms and fries were all perfectly cooked and seasoned. Our server, Chris was attentive and friendly and really made our experience at Bonefish super pleasant. The next time we're in Florida, we will make sure we visit Bonefish again! read more

Awful experience. Friends took me there for dinner. First, they served a Coppola Vintage Claret that was ice cold and in a chilled glass. I complained and they replaced my wine with a room temperature glass. They told me that company policy was to have all wine, red or white refrigerated. I never heard of such a thing! After waiting a very long time, the hostess came over to tell us that the chef forgot to put up our dinners. So we waited some more. A few minutes later, the meals were served. My steak, ordered medium rare, a very small piece of meat, came raw. I send it back. The second time was the charm and it was delicious. The restaurant picked up our drinks but, for me, the damage was done. I'd never been there before and I won't be back. read more

Florida weekend dining! This place can get very busy throughout the night!! Every time we dine here we'd be in standing room for at least 15 minutes at the bar before we can get seated. Their mussels, calamari, and shrimp appetizers are awesome! Sesame seared ahi tuna is excellent! You have a private parking lot, outdoor patio and waiting lounge surrounded by tiki torches, friendly staff, and comfortable indoor atmosphere. read more

Normally I would not review a chain restaurant, but I have been finding myself here over and over again. Mainly due to the fact that there are two Bonefish near where I live and absolutely nothing else that is decent. Every time I dine, the food is consistent and I find myself having an excellent time. The price is high, but the quality of the food compared to the price is a value. I am obsessed with their Calamari- which is always tender and served with a tangy Asian sauce. It is better than most Salt and Pepper Calamari served at some of the best Chinese restaurants. I am totally spoiled at a place where I can eat Tilapia, sautéed spinach, and a side of mashed potatoes with chopsticks. Don't even get me started on their Crème Brule. What brings me in here mostly is their $5.00 anytime drink menu, which changes seasonally. Their Summer Drinks are great, like; Mango Sidecar, Lynchburg Lemonade, Rum Punch, and a double sized Raspberry Vodka Spritzer with fresh mulled berries. It is also a great place to meet up with friends for a couple of drinks before heading over to the movie theater. I love the bar atmosphere here too, makes me forget that I am nowhere near civilization, deserted in a retirement wasteland. I frequent this and the University Parkway location. Went for brunch on Sunday. My meal was Corn cakes, poached eggs, with apple wood smoked bacon. It was served tepid. The eggs were terribly undercooked, the corn cakes were so chewy they stuck to my teeth and the bacon tasted like salmon. The coffee was so bitter the all of the creamer couldn't lighten it. In the last year this place as been going down . The food is not as good , the portions are smaller , the food gets to us cold way to often, the service if you are lucky to get the very few good waiters they still have here you will have good service otherwise just decent service . Tonight we tried the lobster roll that made it to the menu $16.50 ( little expensive) roll still delicious but sadly the lobster meat was mixed with to many big chucks of salad and celery and not enough mayo or seasoning . Let me start by saying, I'm no health inspector but I do believe that puke on the floor of a restaurant is unsanitary. While waiting for our table a couple walked in with their small child, who then puked on the lobby floor. No fault of the child's, for all we know he had just had a rocky day boating. What happened over the next 10 mins was a disgusting display of hygiene and management. Multiple customers let the hostess know that the child had thrown up and after 5mins (and multiple customers walking through the puke while entering the restaurant) there was still puke on the floor. We alerted the manager who told us, "I understand your frustration but we need the back manager to come clean this up." Not sure why a manager was needed to clean up puke or why it took 10mins. But after waiting for someone to come and clean the puke that now spread across the entire entrance we decided to leave. I'm sure they have great fish, but if they aren't able to clean up puke within ten mins just imagine what's happening back in the kitchen. read more

Service was terrible, food was very good. Hostess was annoyed when we asked for a different table other than being in the bar area. Then no server which we had to ask for. Then server Juan briefly took our drink order so we told him our food order at the same time, knowing he wouldn't be back for a while. Drinks served, dinner served which was very good. Juan briefly asked how things were and left. Then we HAD TO ASK Juan for our check which was later brought. Then no more Juan. We had to ask 2 other servers and the hostess (still rude) to TAKE our payment, to which they all answered our server would be with us. Hostess told Juan we were waiting. He never came as he was talking to another table with friends for 10 minutes. Finally the manager came with our check to whom we explained the poor service. He apologized and gave us a coupon for a free appetizer. Never again, at least at this location! read more

I love the atmosphere here. The food is always freshly prepared, and consistently good. I generally get the salmon each time, but when I do get adventurous I'm usually happy with my order, if not they always make it right. I am a frequent customer and go at least 3 or 4 times a month. The wait staff is friendly, pleasant and attentive. I would give this place 5 stars if not for one particular waitress that is unfriendly. We have loved our Bonefish for all the years they have been in this location, BUT after many failed attempts at "to go orders" and dining in, we are not happy with what is happening in the kitchen. Steaks being over cooked, pasta dishes with 1/2 pound of pasta and little of the "featured" items. Bang Bang Shrimp cannot be the only item you get correct. Man this place is great. From the scenic background when you walk in of the skyway to the wooden bar. Love bonefish grill. Been going here since I was a teen. The bang bang shrimp are amazing as always along with their tasty cocktails and menu that is right for a man or woman craving fish. Now the bang bang tacos were great although the Baja tacos could use another sauce or something to give the fish some flavor but literally that is the only change that I would want. Came for the bam bam shrimp special. It was a large serving for an appetiser. Found a filthy muddy lettuce at the bottom - server didn't care. The mussels were a large serving and easily shared between 2 people. I think this place is exactly what you would expect from a chain. First time using curbside to go the wait was a little long with it being a Sunday, however the manager James was quick to respond and take care of me, as well as brought my food out to me and explained/apologized that they were on a little bit of a wait. After we gave the Bonefish in St.Louis a "one star" review we think we owe it to this brand to share good experiences as well. We decided to give Bonefish one more try and we couldn't be happier that we did. All the bad experiences we had in St.Louis have been made up here in Bradenton with superb service, excellent taste and dishes cooked to perfection. From the Bang-Bangs over the Salmon to the Lily's chicken we left happy and satisfied. If they just would bring the Diablo Shrimp Pasta back our frequency to this restaurant fairly close to our new home in Palmetto would see us much more often. My wife and I i a stOpped att the bonefish fOr a nice cocktail and Li Igor dinner tonight. Cocktails were very good and the staff was friendly. I ordered bang band and a Caesar salad with salmon anD wife ordered the Cobb salad with shrimp My wife's order came correct and my order came out as shrimp instead of salmon... no big deal mistakes happen. About ten minutes later it came out with salmon. Took the third bite and the salmon was cold and uncooked.. yuk. I shOwed it to the bartender and she took it off the salad and sent it back. 5 minutes later part of the salmon came back on a small plate and dropped on the Caesar salad I had left. I was a bit surprised that they handled it in that fashion. Surprised that she didn't offer to at least offer me a drink for the wait and inconvenience not that I expect anything for free but a gesture would have been kind I don't thiink that they have the same service or care that they used to have. This is an update, but it cancels out the earlier entry. Bonefish has gone down hill very quickly. The lighter fluid you smell in the air outside the front door is the taste of anything grilled inside the restaurant. I have had several meals where the meat has tasted from lighter fluid, and it is not pleasant, it's awful. They also put a strong hickory smoke flavoring (they call it a 'base') on everything grilled. I have asked them not to add it, but they do anyway. I believe there is a serious disconnect between the wait staff and the line. Apparently it is a severe language barrier, because the servers say they have asked but it comes with hickory smoke anyway. Sigh. Dad's on wafarin, he asked please for carrots, no dark green veggies because it's a blood thinning medication intensified by dark green veggies. The server delivers a plate of green beans and 2 carrot slices. She tells him, like it's his problem and as if he'd not given her the veggie speech, that they're short on carrots, and that's what he gets. Meanwhile, my plate is overflowing with lots of carrots. WTH is going on? It's like a bad dream. We were there last night and they got our bill so wrong twice. My father gave them $102 in gift cards. They took my returned lighter-fluid filet off the menu I'd returned after one bite. I ordered nothing else.The first check we got belonged to another table, with our gift cards figured in.Nope. The second try, the amounts were way off. The third try, my husband asked the manager to straighten things out. We had documentation, since we'd had plenty of time to sit and calculate it. What is going on there? We won't go back. After something like 15 years of going there quite regularly and enjoying it with many friends and family, we won't go back. read more

Went this past weekend with my sister and her husband, covid regulations still being observed-even with restaurants open to full capacity. Food was wonderful-try the swordfish and pumpkin ravioli special-and the apple martini-Yum! Our server, Chris B was great-we really enjoyed him, what a fabulous evening all around, we had fun, service and food was great and we felt comfortable with Covid safety measures in place! We get take-out food from a local restaurant once a week. Bonefish Grill does an outstanding job. We pulled into a designated curbside parking place about 15 minutes after we called in our order. Within minutes a masked server verified our name and brought our order. We had ordered longtime favorites of ours- a BangBang shrimp appetizer, a house salad, and 2 orders of Lily's Chicken. What impressed me most was how well the food was packaged! Lily's Chicken with its sauce was served in a compartmentalized container so that the sauce didn't run into the sides. My husband ordered french fries as one of his sides, something I avoid because take-out fries are often so soggy and limp. Bonefish fries were packaged separately in a paper bag so that they were still crisp! They even Included their signature bread in a separate paper bag. So often we find that the food we order as take-out is not as good as if we had eaten it in the restaurant. The Bonefish food was as delicious as take out as it would have been served fresh in the restaurant. read more

This is my first time visiting Bonefish Grill. I flew in from Utah and it looked like it might be an OK place to try. The menu looked pretty good and I decided to go with the bacon wrapped scallops appetizer which was the special for the month. I also had their pompano and a bowl of corn chowder. The server was a nice guy who took me thru the menu and showed me around. My scallops and soup came out almost too fast. The scallops were over cooked with the bacon around the outside quite crispy. It almost seemed as though they had it sitting up under a heat lamp and they were so excited that somebody ordered it so they could get it out on a table and not have to throw it away. The corn chowder was just OK. I had barely started in on my soup and scallops when I saw an expediter bringing a plate of food towards my table. She quickly turned around and went back to the kitchen with the plate. My server came back to the table about a minute later and asked me how the appetizers were. I told him they were just OK and suggested that they not bring my entrée out after it had been sitting under a heat lamp. He laughed and said that he would make sure they cooked one up fresh since I was a first timer and in from out of town. Not three minutes later another expediter brought my pompano out! It was overcooked and dry! They stuck it right up under that heat lamp and warmed it up good. Interestingly enough the au gratin potatoes were barely lukewarm. Green beans were fantastic so they've got that going for them. I would never go back to the Bonefish Grill but the server sent out what he called a "Floor Walker" and that gentleman ended up comping my entire meal. This has been the most difficult togo-pickup I have ever had to deal with. First of all, I was either disconnected or accidentally hung up on 5 or 6 times just trying to place my order. Once I finally was able to place my order I waited for over 20 minutes in the curbside parking spot. Finally I went inside to be told that curbside doesn't start until after 4 even though who ever took my order asked for my make, model, and car color. I work in the service industry as well, I would have completely understood if y'all were busy but there were servers sitting at the bar and 3 hostess standing around talking. Therefor it clearly wasn't that busy. Fast-forward to when I finally get home to eat my stone cold and overcooked food. Moral of the story is I will NEVER order togo from here that was an exhausting experience. read more

We visited on Friday 12/17 - We got in and seated right away. The place was about 1/3 full @ 6pm. My wife had the Alaskan Wolf fish (white fish similar to Cod) and I had the cheeseburger. She received a generous portion of fish (2 portions it looked like) and small shrimp. She'd never tried this before (she's a Salmon & crabmeat eater) but she really enjoyed it. I never get the cheeseburger but I was in the mood for it and I asked for it well done. It was really good, however about 2/3 of the way through it, it was getting pinkish. I could not finish eating it as it was pretty pink at the end. Fries were good. We both had white Zin with dinner and it was good. Not sure why they serve it in little bottles that they pour into your glass - just bring a glass of wine - but whatever. The bread was warm and really good too. It is a bit loud in there and we had to talk up to hear each other. All in all a good experience. I mentioned the burger was a little raw to our server. Hopefully they do better next time. read more

Dissapointed on Mother's Day :( we fly in every year from Europe and always go to bonefish grill because we're used to great service and amazing food. Sadly enough today was very disappointing. We had a reservation and were seated on time in the corner of the restaurant. At first I thought this was fine because we have a 6 year old who tends to get loud. It turned out to be the ' we're going to forget about you' corner. First round of drinks took 15 minutes to get there. 20 minutes after sitting down we had our bread and the server took our entree order.. We both ordered the sirloin medium well and our daughter got fish strips. After another 15 minutes we ordered another round of drinks. 50 minutes in we finally got our main course and drinks. The steaks were dry and well done. Green beans overcooked and the French fries were almost cold. I was still eating my main course when the server comes over and asked if I wanted dessert....and after that our second round of drinks got served which we ordered 15 minutes before. I understand it's busy and you would like to seat other people. However you let us wait that long for an overcooked meal and then almost rush us through it...not cool. We skipped dessert and took off ASAP... Definitely not what we expect from bonefish we'll see if we're going back next year. read more
