Was suprised to see that this location has a brunch now. The service was awesome, if a little overdone. They treat you as if you are eating at a super fancy steakhouse so it's a bit offputting, but I guess I shouldn't complain about service being too good. I had the shrimp and corncake dish which was spicy and delicious. My boyfriend had the french toast which wasn't as good. I took a chocolate croissant to go and devoured it for dessert. I always enjoy my meal at Bonefish and will certainly go back for brunch again. read more

Yes I am a fan. I know that they are a chain but just like the rest of the restaurants in the OSI chain I don't think you can go wrong here. Monthly specials on apps, food, and drink are really great and they have a great knack for picking up the seasonality of items and fit them into the menu. You can get fresh here (the seafood) not with your date and not break the bank. A bottle of wine and dinner will run you less than most places that are this good. The waitstaff is usually great and can recommend something good for you. The only downside to the entire restaurant is the fact that if you get seated int the back corner then you might see the dishes getting washed but then again at least they are getting washed correctly. If I did not know in advance Bonefish was a chain restaurant I would never of guessed. While vacationing in the area we picked up once from bonefish and dined in once, both times where excellent. When picking up from the food held perfectly until we got it home and plated it up out of the travel containers, and I have to say it tasted just as good as when we dined in. Dining in its a nice warm comfortable atmosphere with a nice bar as you walk in and a cool looking outside if you want to dine alfresco. Bonefish has a good menu with lots to choose from and some changing specials. There is some good choices for landlubbers so if you are fished out being in Florida to long or just don't like the bounty of the sea you will still leave happy. First of all let me say bangity bang bang bang for both the bang bang shrimp and the bang bang chicken, the sauce is excellent and both came out and stayed crispy and crunchy. Also had the crab cake it was mostly crab hardly any filler super great taste a couple awesome starters. For entrees we had the grouper, sea bass and the twin lobster tails. All were super fresh cooked perfectly and came with a choice of a side. Honestly compared to Red Lobster or any of those other chain places it was no contest. Came here because we had a gift card. Honestly didn't expect much but was more than pleasantly surprised. For the price of the food, it was very tasty... The Tuna steak was tender and the filet and crab were as well. If you try anything make sure to get the sweet potato mash!!! Service was by far the best! We sat at the bar and Tiffany was incredibly attentive and made great recommendations on her favorites along with truthful recommendations as well. Now that we moved from Chicago we came here for a second time. You can't beat the service here at any other restaurant. Waiters/ waitress's always right on the spot for drinks and quickly brought piping hot food out. Both entrees we had were perfectly prepared and very tasty. Wife and I had dinner tonight to just get out and have some fun. We got a seat and were amazed by the service and joy of the people in the place. A couple diet Coke's and a couple of appetizers figured just a quick bite but we had a blast a couple other servers came by and checked on us also and they made a few recommendations and next thing we each order a meal and boxed up the leftovers for lunch tomorrow. At here last night and came home and and got sick as dog. We went to celebrate our anniversary and it did not end well. I had the filet which I ordered medium and showed charred to a crisp, I ate it and don't think this was my problem. It came with 5 shrimp and eating them they did not seem to be cooked all the way. I could tell that while I wa eating them there were spots that did not seem cooked all the way through. I ended up in the bathroom most of the rest of the night, happy anniversary. As I lay in bed sick as a dog and having to call out sick to work not very happy. We have eaten here numerous timeshere before and everything was fine but this time did not end well. read more

Beware cheap fish restaurants. Bonefish Grill, however, is not one of those and I love it It's not overly pricey, dont get me wrong, but you are paying for quality. I've been to this location maybe eight or so times and each time walked away feeling pretty happy. Service is good, they seem to be child friendly and considering the crush of customers they are pretty fast on their feet. I've mostly have had sea bass, salmon and tuna here and they are very good at cooking the fish until its perfect--soft, even buttery, hot but never dry. Love the sides, the desserts are criminally good (I hate great desserts). So, go, but best to try it in the off hours to avoid the rush. read more

have been going to bonefish grill for years and more and more have been saying this is the last time. well tonight was the last time. if you are on a salt restricted diet dont eat there. ordered the cod imperial and told server to have the cook, use the term loosely, to hold the cheese and capers and salt, still very salty. french fries were loaded with salt. why do they put salt and pepper on the table if they are going to salt everything. also menu never changes except for the prices which keep going up which were already considering no salad with entree. bye bye read more

I have been here several times. Tonight we had a 3 person reservation at 7 PM. Checked in right at 7 and waited for about 25 mins. Went in and there was an open table at the bar. This is my favorite restaurant in the Clearwater area. I go at certain times to avoid the crowds and wait, but I know that I am going so I plan ahead. It is a lot less noisy than other locations in the Tampa area, but can get noisy during peak capacity which I often avoid. I have not tried their lobster in a long time because there are things I like a lot more than lobster, so I have no comment available on that. I also have never tried their beef, as I cannot bring myself to order beef from a resturant named "Bonefish Grill". But I'm sure it's probably great too if they season it in a similar manner to their fish. I have tried all of their appetizers and I have never received any one I did not like, most I loved. Every grilled fish entree I have ordered has been wonderful. Their vegetable sides are always perfectly cooked and seasoned. Of the 80+ times I have been there over the past 6 years, I can only remember 1 mediocre experience, and it was because a portion of my Jasmine rice that was undercooked slightly. The only gripe I probably have is that their house wines are very average and are best drank with the food rather than enjoyed on their own. This is not enough to take a star off, because I know that I'm a bit of a wine snob by now. Even at the same price point, I think they could do a little better by having something in the list with a bit more character. If you know what wines you really like, I'd definitely order from by-glass wine menu, you'll be much more happy. All of their martinis and mixed drinks are wonderful. It is also great to be at a place that will make a dry gin martini without you having to build a road map on how to make it. read more

Giving two starts only because of the wonderful service. Our waitress was excellent and the manager that came over to our table was excellent. Other than that it was a bad experience. My mixed drink was not made properly but I endured it. Our calamari and bang bang shrimp appetizers were decent. However, my sirloin steak was way over cooked and my crab cake looked like nothing more than a small pile of breaded crab. My wife's steak was over cooked also. After sending them back, my steak came back medium rare, not medium like I ordered. But I kept it anyway. My wife's steak came back medium rare (what she ordered) but with gristle right through the center of it. She sent it back again and didn't ask for another. As I said, our waitress was very apologetic and nice. And the manager was also very apologetic and nice. Unfortunately that was our first and most likely our last time going their for dinner. Update... we had a great time. This time we both had a pasta dish. Hers with shrimp, mine with chicken. My chicken was very tender. Our waiter was very good. Our drinks were very good as well. Usually a wonderful place to eat but this time we were more than disappointed. The restaurant is near empty and we were sat directly next to the greeting and utensil table. When we asked to change seats out waiter acted very putout but seated us at a table covered with bugs across the table and food on the floor. When i first moved to the area 6 years ago, i really liked Bonefish. However, the last few years the quality has suffered a steady decline, and last night just took the cake. Our server was friendly, and they do a good job of hiring the right kind people, but both our meals were room temperature. Which tells me they were banging out pre-cooked meals and heat lamping until someone placed an order. They also now way overdo it with sauces and seasoning which i've found is usually to mask lower quality ingredients. Both my wife and i walked out of Bonefish feeling less healthier than when we walked in. While the ambiance of the restaurant is still great as its always been, the food feels and tastes more like an Applebees. No inspiration to go back while there are superb alternative in the area. read more

Today we decided to get carry out from Bone Fish since all restaurants are closed. Typically this is my favorite place to dine out. Tonight, something was off. think everything we ordered had something wrong with it. The Bang Bang shrimp was terrible and ice cold. It was overdone but had a weird texture, almost as if it were already cooked a day or two earlier and then thrown back in the deep fryer. I ordered scallops and shrimp with chimichuri but was disappointed to find cold seafood with some lemon sauce in the side. The scallops were undercooked. The bread was hard as a rock. Vegetables had absolutely no seasoning and typically their broccoli is the best. I know these are hard times for businesses but I feel that if quality is going to suffer, they would be better off closing. My impression is forever flawed. read more

The bang bang shrimp is delicious and flavorful! I got that and the au gratin potatoes which are cheesy (but not too cheesy) potatoes topped with bread crumbs. Those two items along with the bread and olive oil was a perfectly sizes meal. On Wednesdays Bonefish has $5 bang bang shrimp so I suggest having a midweek date there and their happy hour specials for drinks are great. I was really happy with both the quality and service. "You want to go where?!" That's what Mark H. said when I asked him to take me to Bonefish last night. "Anywhere in Tampa, and you want to hit a chain?!" Yup, that's right. I want reliable seafood under dim lighting with attentive service. What I love about this place is that it's so consistent, that I get just that. The same dish I had about ten years ago when Bonefish started in St. Pete tastes the same now as it did then. Sure their attempts at traditional cocktails are hilariously adorable, but they can still churn out the same ole tasty Bang Bang Shrimp, while adding exciting new menu offerings such as Pad Thai Shrimp. I had a Corn Chowder with Lump Crab bisque that I have to head back for last night, but also had the same ole Seared Tuna done as well as always. I went to have Brunch on Sunday. I have had Brunch several times at the 4th Street location and was impressed with the food and service, I did not have the same experience here. It was not busy, we waited 10 minutes for a server to acknowledge us, and another 10 minutes for Sangria. I ordered Eggs Benedict but received a different food order (the server left before I had a chance to say anything). I had to flag down another server, who immediately brought out my correct food order however, it was cold. The English muffin was dry, barely toasted, no butter or sauce on it, with a cold poached egg and a dribble of cold sauce on top. It also had 4 very sad looking and cold pieces of asparagus as a side. Not what I expected after having such good food at the other location. read more

Wouldn't recommend this location. As this was my first time at any bonefish grille, we weren't satisfied. From the start I heard that we can't be seated in Justin's area (don't know who he is) but we were seated in Amanda section (she never showed- saw her go by- apparently working off the night before's mistake). She never served us. We ended up w Frank. He was pushy, annoying & very high. Not quite sure what he was on. If I had to guess I would say a mix of cocaine and pills. He couldn't be still for a moment. Like a hermit crab was biting at his ass. The front door to the establishment was held open leaving a hug draft blow in- not a great idea on a cold day. The bar crowd appeared to resembel & old swingers crownd. Mind you this was all before 530 in the evening. Definitely not planning on heading to any of these locations in the near future. read more

Meh. Maybe it was the location or the day, but I've been to other bonefish locations and have been very satisfied with the food. It wasn't bad, but wasn't as great as usual. We had Parmesan crusted trout, Arctic char, chicken teriyaki and fish tacos. The snap peas were over cooked, trout was very oily, the fish in the tacos were fishy, even the bang bang was not as good as usual. On the bright side, the service was awesome. Very accommodating and patient. She kept checking in to make sure we were ok. Oh and the bread, I have to admit, was spectacular. Warm, light and fluffy. Excellent dipping sauce. My took me out for my birthday. We arrived at 440pm . This was a party of 5. We were not able to order are until 520. Before that are order took 10 minutes to arrive at my table. We sat waiting . My wife three different times can we place are order that didn't happen until time the time. I'm watching order enjoy their dinner and leave .We still received are dinner. Oh bread came to the table about a hour after being seated. When are dinners arrived my wife had ordered shrimp Taco and fish Taco came not good took another 10 minutes for dinner. I ordered Maih-Maihi .My dinner came to table cold the fish was dry.. I have had seafood all my life this the worst I have ever had and experience at in my lifetime. It took 20 minutes to get are check. I had to tell the hostess. My dinner was horrible are was experience. The manger was not any better. I will never recommend this restaurant . From the McDonald's size fish you got to be kidding me . There are a number of better seafood restaurants than this stay away. read more

I little disappointed about this visit to a usual favorite of ours.... Went for dinner last Saturday night and the Waiter (Wesley) recommended the Arctic Char which I went ahead and ordered. We also had an order of our favorite Bang Bang shrimp which for some reason didn't seem to be as good as we remembered. A few minutes later our waiter returned to advise that they were all out of the Arctic Char and went on the explain that they were in the process of removing it from the menu and were no longer going to serve it. He recommended a couple of other fish and I selected one that wasn't recommended - the Tilapia. The waiter then recommended the tilapia with an upcharge (Imperial with crab meat) to which I said no thank you. About ten minutes passed and our food arrived and I was given a plate with Trout??? I typically am not a big fish person so rather than ask why I'm getting trout when I ordered tilapia I gave it a try and really didn't care for it. It had very little flavor and in my opinion - it was very mushy. A while later a Manager came by our table and I explained what happened and she took the entree off of our bill which was really nice. "And, I still don't know how to RAY CHEW, RAY CHILL." Because, RACHEL opened my eyes to what service really should be like. And, as of yesterday, I don't know how to rate KRISTA, either. Because it seems that Bonefish Grill is setting a standard that is unachievable by most restaurants. And with JAMES and KENDALL working closely with KRISTA, it seems that you people belong in a "Bobby Flay" type movie of your own. Because what might be considered as "going above and beyond the call of duty" at most restaurants, seems to be the "norm" at this Bone Fish Grill. When great attitudes "light up" the dining room, the need for electricity seems to be "nominal." And great attitudes always seem to produce great results. And the food quality and consistency seems to be unsurpassed by anything that I have seen. And anyone who can impress my family, has to be "a cut above" the norm. When my family discusses where they want to eat on Sunday afternoon, there is normally an objection amongst each restaurant being discussed. That discussion can get rather lengthy to say the least. That is, unless I offer Bone Fish Grill. It is the only time that I get no objections whatsoever. At that moment, I start to picture RACHEL in my "headlights." And from this moment forward, I can tell, that I will be picturing KRISTA and RACHEL. It is certainly "a treat" knowing that there is a "dear in the headlights!!!" And by the way, in both encounters, JAMES was "front and center" to make sure that we were accommodated "from the word GO." And since KENDALL seems to be such a valuable addition to this formula, we had no choice but to be impressed. But what really stood out in this encounter, was the attitude of all these employees mentioned. Their attitudes were far above "rubies and riches." So much that it had to confirm my thinking. My thinking that "Killing it" Really Is Still The Answer!!! "Killing it with what, RACHEL??? Killing it with great attitudes!!!" We have been patronizing this location since it opened and have always been pleased with the meals. I ordered a Ahi Tuna and asked for it rare, it was served well done. A manager I guess came by and said he would have it redone, it was returned rare however the meat was a complete piece of grizzel and I was able to eat about one third of it.
