I don't typically go to chain restaurants because I like to support more local small businesses and try what each town has to offer. Not to mention chain restaurants food selection and quality is not as good as a smaller, quaint restaurant. However, I had a gift card for bonefish and it had been a long time since I have been. And it did not disappoint! I was quite shocked (in a good way) with the quality of the services, ambiance, food, and drinks. We went during happy hour, unintentionally, and the drinks were great prices and appetizers. If given the chance, I suggest checking them out then. You also get complimentary bread and oil. I really enjoyed the house margarita, I probably could've drank more than I'd like to admit too. The food was great and also tasted so fresh! I had salmon that was cooked to perfection, the mash potatoes were perfectly whipped, and the green beans were really fresh. Overall it was a great lunch and I would probably go back if I was wanting more seafood options for a lighter, fresh dinner!

Had a gift card to use. First time it was absolutely packed and the hostess was rude so we walked. Second time, environment was a little less busy and waiter was super sweet to us. We ordered the crusted cod and a lobster bisque soup. It was good but not crave-able. Took a look at the wine menu and noticed no wines were extraordinary. Had Chloe's, Kim Crawfords, and other cheap wine overly priced for what they are so decided to not order a glass. For a chain, I get it but if it wasn't for the gift-card probably wouldn't choose it again.

Thanks for ruining our Christmas Eve, Bonefish. We arrived at 5:25 for a 6:15 reservation. We were told they'd get us in ASAP before the reservation, but it would be closer to reservation time. At 6:20, we were told it would be another 15min. Really?! "No, more like 20min." At 6:45, we placed our order to go at the bar. We discussed the situation with the manager, and had to ask for a comped appetizer - it certainly wasn't forthcoming. She did so, and gave us two cards for Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer that EXPIRED IN A WEEK. Our table was finally called at 6:50p, but by then we expected our to go order, which we finally received 45min after ordering. Had I known how long it would take, they should have have comped the meal or I should have gone ahead and walked out before the meal arrived, which I highly recommend if this happens to you. By the time we got home and sat down to eat at 8p, we were all hungry, frustrated and annoyed, and tired. The "crispy" Kung Pao Brussel Sprouts were soggy and flavorless, but the rest was "ok". Def not worth the price paid, nor the over two hour ordeal to get it. This is not good business practice, and I do not recommend Bonefish for your holiday or special event, as they can not be trusted with your special meal.

Ruined the holiday mood. We had a reservation for 6:15 pm, so we arrived at 5:25 pm to check in. The bar was at capacity so we just ordered drinks while we waited for our table. Drinks were good and our bartender was attentive for how busy she was. It took about an hour before the bar cleared and we decided to place a food order to go (at 6:28pm) as we were told it would "be a while" before our table was ready, even though our reservation was 15 minutes prior AND we had gotten there almost an hour ahead of time. Finally got the text that our table was ready at 6:56pm. Got our food at 7:18pm and left by 7:25pm. Worst management ever. If you have reservations available, they should be seated at the appropriate time, not 30+ minutes after the reservation. Food and drink were good, just don't ever book for a holiday.

While visiting the Tampa area, I stopped by this Bonefish Grill and was super happy when I walked out those doors. As a self-proclaimed "happy hour aficionado," I was pleased to try their new social hour items. Our server was super sweet and I never saw her without a smile which is something I appreciate immensely. The restaurant has a large, open floor plan which makes the restaurant feel larger than it is and nicely organized. I noticed this area has an older, retirement crowd that makes the idea of the early bird special very real in this location. Due to that there was a bit of a wait at 5pm to get drinks and food but I completely understood with the large number of guests here at this location. The drinks were the definition of fabulous when it came to taste and presentation. The garnishes were all fresh, from the mint to the pineapple stalks to the lemons. The coding crush was very sweet and went down like water which caused me to question whether I should have driven or not. The Jim beam based mango bourbon sour was just as yummy with a nice heavy, dark flavor from the bourbon nicely paired with the taste of mango. The ahi tuna poke was served with these incredibly delicious, seasoned chips that were sturdy enough to obtain the poke while not too strong to chip a tooth. I was super pleased and can't wait to return! Thanks for making this afternoon the bomb Bonefish!

There was a time when Bonefish grill was the model of consistency. Doesn't seem the case anymore. Last 3 visits to different locations have all been disappointments. First, the service. Normally the Bloomin Brand chain had this amazing teamwork vibe where everyone helped each other out. Not a single food runner or server that passed by pre-bused our table. By the time the food came out there was 3 appetizer plates, 6 individual small dishes, 8 cups and two bread trays empty and stacked in the middle. We order beverages and waters first thing. We didn't get our waters until the entrees came out and had to ask multiple times to get them. The bread came out after the appetizers and the bread was cold. We were told the delay for bread was because it was in the oven. Don't even get me started on drink refills for both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The food. BFG fries and Calamari apps were the highlight. The swordfish steak I got was super thin and over cooked. The "filet" and crab cake my wife got was awful. See the pic of both. The filet tasted like an awful cut of meat and the crab cake was a mushy soggy tasteless mess. The manager heard us asking talking about the filet and asked what was wrong. We showed it to her and told her it didn't really taste like filet, that melt in your mouth type flavor. She responded with "the cuts of meat we are getting now just aren't that good but I can get you another one if you'd like". Way to sell that replacement there, so we passed. To be fair she did remove it from the bill. Our daughters burger was dry and tasteless. The rest of the food was blah. In the end the meal with drinks and apps was $280 with tip. That's a good amount for a family to spend on sub par food. Third times a charm and we're done with Bloomin Brands.

Really nice restaurant with a very good seafood selection. They had some interesting specialty drinks. We got sangria but I wasn't a fun, definitely too sweet for my taste. Bread was really fresh and tasty, bread was a winner. Service was super friendly, attentive and nice. I had scallops and fish and my husband had salmon. Both dishes were great. We didn't not have space for the dessert. Definitely will come back, they also have nice outdoor dining options.

On the rare occasion that…read moreseafood was on the menu, it was typically a frozen variety like Groton's, or the occasional fish fry at the Elk's Club. That's changed since moving to the Gulf Coast of Florida, where the fish at the local restaurant today was probably swimming yesterday. My "go-to" seafood now is a grouper sandwich which I order blackened but NOT fried. I've sampled grouper sandwiches from many local dining establishments, but my favorite is from "Carvor's Fish House" A couple of important notes: 1) Carvor's is only open for LUNCH. Their hours vary, so you'll want to check the website, but they typically close at FIVE PM, with the last order accepted at FOUR PM. 2) Carvor's has NO inside dining The patio is tree-shaded with extra umbrellas but if it's really hot, you may be uncomfortable. 3) Carvor's has COUNTER SERVICE. You go inside, order your food and THEN go back outside and select a table. When your food is ready, a server will bring it to your table. 4) This is downtown Dunedin, and parking can occasionally be a challenge on Douglas Street, but FREE parking is available in the city parking garage across the street. Pictured is my "blackened grouper" sandwich. A refreshing change from the usual French fries is their homemade chilled tomato, cucumber and onion salad. Delish!

Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5…read moreAmbiance: 5/5 It was my first time in Tampa, and after hearing so many great things about this spot, my friends and I made it a point to eat here. When we first arrived, we honestly didn't expect a Michelin-starred restaurant to have this kind of setting- not in a bad way btw, just different from what we imagined! We went around 3 PM, and it wasn't too busy, so our group of three was seated immediately. They also have a back patio, but it was way too hot outside, so we opted to stay indoors with the AC. The service was excellent. Since it was our first time dining here, we spent quite a while looking through the menu. The staff were very patient, answered our questions, and gave some helpful recs. For food, I ordered the grouper sandwich because I saw that the fish was locally caught and was intrigued. It was a little saltier than I would have liked, but I still enjoyed it a lot. My friend got the grilled shrimp house salad and the pistachio crusted red snapper. The red snapper was WOW so delicious. The lemon beurre blanc balanced the dish perfectly. It was my friend's order, but I kept finding myself stealing bites from her plate lol. We also got a classic risotto with added shrimp and it was another standout. I really enjoyed it because it wasn't overly creamy, so I never got tired of eating it. I would definitely order this again. Okay, now onto the oysters... OMMGGGGGGGGG. The Shigoku from Samish Bay, WA was my absolute favorite out of all the oysters we tried. You honestly have to taste it yourself to understand how sweet it is. We also wanted to order more of the Royal Miyagi oysters, but unfortunately they had already run out and only had one left. So sad!!!! While waiting for our food, I walked around the market and loved browsing all the different items they had for sale. There were locally made souvenirs, sauces, honey, prepared foods, merchandise, and so much more. Definitely worth taking some time to explore if you're there. Overall, it was such a lovely experience, and I would absolutely come back whenever I'm in Tampa again!

On the website they list out parking lots, so I would recommend checking that out. We ended up parking at a parking garage that was a couple minutes walk from the restaurant. Also, pro tip thanks Yelp, they do accept reservations. You have to look on OpenTable, though, I don't feel like I saw it on their website. We were there at 7 PM on Saturday and even without a reservation we would've gotten a table. However, it is on the smaller side if you want to sit inside, they do have a back patio. I saw a reserve sign on our table, so they definitely honor Reservations. I got hogarita which is their version of a margarita. It was good. My husband got an old-fashioned and liked it. The food is where this place really shines. I got hogfish grilled with their veggie of the day and key lime slaw. My husband got their salmon grilled with veggie of the day and hush puppies. The hush puppies are exceptional. I usually avoid carbs and I'm sure this one is really bad for you, but it was absolutely delicious. My husband, who normally isn't a huge fish eater liked his salmon. We both agreed, though that my hog fish was better. The hog fish was flaky and tender, a very mild tasting fish, but absolutely amazing. 10 out of 10 on this dish. This place is pretty casual, it feels very down to earth with really good food. Service was attentive and quick, we will be back.

Out came the seafood boil, we ordered two one of their standard boils and then I did a customer boil with crab legs and sausage. We both added boiled eggs to ours and went with the mild spice level and Mr. And Mrs. Crab seasoning. They bring out a bib, gloves and a discard bucket when you order the boils. Overall, I thought it was pretty good. Again, not the best I've had but it satisfied our craving. My girlfriend thought it was delicious and was making sure to soak everything up in the sauce, haha. One thing I noticed was the crab was lacking on some of the legs, not as meaty. Not sure what caused that. Also, there was a bit of a funky after taste with the boil that I haven't encounter before. I don't know if it was the seasoning or the sauce. Just my personal opinion and others might think differently. Also, wasn't really a fan of the potatoes or the egg. Just tasted off to me. Overall, we had a good experience. Might return in the future to give it another shot.
