I appreciated their complimentary bread (it seemed perfectly toasted and fluffy) and olive oil. The presentation of our appetizer and main dishes were sloppy. (You can see for yourself in my video) But, the reason why I'm giving the place a 4 out of 5 is because the food was satisfying. The coconut thai shrimp was nicely flavored and not overcooked. I got the imperial wolf fish which I enjoyed because the fish was not dry but it was not succulent either, but it was the sauce that made the dish! I was not happy that there was no stuffing as promised. It seemed like they just provided a generous amount of sauce over and under the fish so it seemed like it was stuffed? But, I really enjoyed that sauce so I wasn't unhappy about that, just felt like it was false advertising?! :P The perfectly cooked jasmine rice went along well with the fish and sauce. This was my first experience at Bonefish Grill, I had heard plenty of good things from friends about the food and the experience so we decided to give it a try. We started off with an appetizer called Bang Bang Shrimp, which were crispy and covered with various kinds of seasoning and came with a spicy dipping the sauce. The shrimps were very flavorful and were fresh and delicious. We could have easily had a whole meal in and of itself with just that. Luckily we had more. I had a NY Strip Steak, it was perfectly cooked as I wanted it, our server was polite and attentive to our needs making sure our meals and my steak in particular was cooked to my satisfaction. My girlfriend got the Bang Bang Shrimp tacos and was also happy with her choice. For dessert we ended with a delicious Chocolate Crème Brûlée, it was the perfect end to a really good meal. While others had warned us that Bonefish was a bit pricey we did not find it to be as much as we thought it might be. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice and has a warm romantic feel to it. Also across from us was a very large table with a family celebrating something and they seemed very happy with their service which indicates to me that they are capable of handling large groups as well. read more

My 2 sisters and I went to this location a few weeks ago. It was not crowded for a Saturday night, and we were seated quickly. We ordered 3 appetizers to share. The Bang Bang Shrinp, Coconut Shrimp, and the Mussels. All 3 appetizers were enough for a meal, but you know we could not stop there! I had a salmon dish, which was so fresh and delicious! They offer 3 sauces (mango salsa, Asian sauce or chimichurri)..... the mango salsa was top notch as it made the meal a healthy choice. Yes, this is a chain. However, the food is delicious and everything my family and I had was very satisfying. I am a sucker for carbs - so free bread with olive oil? YES! The Bang Bang Shrimp is a great appetizer - flavorful, a bit creamy, a bit spicy... just awesome. My favorite fish is Chilean Sea Bass (just learned it's endangered - oops!) - you will definitely want the larger portion. You can choose how you want your fish cooked as well. Price point was reasonable, considering it is Chilean Sea Bass (which for now goes around $20/pound). It was delicious, buttery smooth... just perfect. For three entrees, one appetizer, and no alcohol our bill was just shy of $100. Service was great, too. Note: try to make reservations because we came on a Saturday for dinner around 6 pm and waited forty minutes - good thing there are stores nearby to browse in to kill some time. One star down because I have had quality seafood at other places for a bit cheaper, and there is often a lack in efficiency in flow. I really like this place a lot. The food is fresh and tasty. Bang bang shrimp of course but I also like the crab dip and I really love the addition of Bearnaise (sp?) sauce as an option for the steak. I will say that I had my first disappointing thing there recently. I ordered steak and crab cake and the crab cake was really dry, burnt on the bottom, and just not good, so I just won't get it again. The burger is amazing and so are the fish dishes. I personally feel like this is one of the best chains out there. Give them a try if you're in the mood for fresh, good quality food. *side note- I've never been a fan of their desserts so maybe skip that and enjoy it somewhere else. read more

Went on a Thursday night, was seated immediately. ( would have liked to have more booths, There's a lot of middle of the room seating im not a fan of) Got my $5 mango side car (delish) and our brad with pesto and olive oil ( THIS FRESH BAKED CHAIBATTA BREAD WILL GIVE RED LOBSTERS CHEDDAR BAY BISCUITS A RUN FOR THEIR MONEY) A must have is the bang bag shrimp appetizer and for entree we had the tilapia imperial with potatoes au gratin! yummy...it also came with a seasonal veggie which for us happened to be spaghetti'd squash ( not a fan of this so next time I'd have this replaced with another vegetable option) Overall a great dinning experience. One of our favorite seafood restaurants in NJ. Just wish they had branches in Manhattan and Long Island. There was a bit of a mix-up with our reservation last night, hadn't been noted in book. Manager Shane couldn't have been more accommodating. Even saw a famous MLB Hall of Famer here! Now that's exciting for NJ. They carry our favorite wines by the glass, and the salads and entrees are always delish and fresh. No wonder there is a one hour wait on a Sat night. The crowds just keep on coming. This is one of my favorite seafood restaurants because some of their dishes are delicious. I strongly recommend the crab cakes as an appetizer. I was not much of a fan of the Bang bang shrimp that they promote as a top favorite. Their appetizers are great, but the portions are small. For the price you pay, they should be a little bigger. For entree, I recommend the sea bass, tilapia or fish tacos. Once I had the lobster tails, which was actually quite disappointing. I would stick with the other dishes. I have not tried many desserts however the creme brûlée was great! It is best to make reservations if you go during peak hours since there is usually a wait. The staff is great, excellent service. However, at the end of our meal I do feel rushed during peak hours. They want to get you out to get the next group in. This is perhaps the only downside, as it is one of my favorite go-to restaurants. read more

After pouring our water, he took away the empty bottle and never brought it back. We asked for more water, he brought the bottle back and just left there instead of fill up the glass. We had to ask for appetizers plates. 15 minutes after we finished eating, he finally showed up. Took away the dirty plates but forgot to bring a box back for out leftovers. He came back with the check and forgot the box again. 10 minutes later he finally came back with the box. He totally forgot it was for my daughter's birthday as two tables next to us got small cake for people's birthday. The service is just not up to par. read more

I've been to Bonefish in East Brunswick, NJ many times and have always had a good experience. Last evening my husband and I went there for an early dinner. We were seated right away as it wasn't very crowded. We waited and waited for someone from the waitstaff to even acknowledge us - but nothing. We did see waiters and waitress pass by but they just walked by our table. We watched as a couple of tables came in and seated after us. They were brought their drinks and appetizers and orders taken as we still sat there with nothing. After 25 minutes, we walked out. On our way out, the manager told us to have a nice evening! I told her that I would have if we had been waited on or even acknowledged. She just stood there looking stunned - along with the waiter and waitress that happened to be standing by her. Hands down, one of my favorite local restaurants. The bread was crispy and warm and the olive oil/pesto was fantastic. The bang-bang shrimp is a must-have appetizer. I usually go for the grilled tilapia for my dinner, and it was delicious and juicy. The garlic mashed potatoes are also great on the side. I had dinner at the East Brunswick, NJ location tonight with my wife and sister. We were impressed with how fast the apps came out but as soon as we got our entrees, everything went down hill from there. We had asked the server who brought out the entrees for a side of tartar sauce and I had ordered a beer to go with my dinner when we put in the whole order but that never came either. Fifteen minutes went by without anyone approaching our table. At that point, the food was already getting cold and we had tried to get ANYONE's attention. I had to call the restaurant from my cell phone to ask for the manager to come over. The server then came back to the table and gave us the check without asking if we would like any dessert. The manager did come over and apologize after we asked the server to get the manager. We had dined at other Bonefish locations numerous times and had never been so disappointmented. I've been loving Bonefish for years but I actually had to jump on Yelp to rave about a new menu addition. The Grilled Salmon Superfood Salad is amazing. It features the delicious house vinaigrette but with the addition of a citrus aioli. So flavorful. Where do I begin...? My boyfriend's parents recommended this restaurant, so he and I decided to have a nice dinner out tonight. Today is Superbowl Sunday and there was a sign at the door that said they close at 8. It was 7:45. We waited about a minute until a hostess came to us and gave us our booth, and we waited about 15 minutes until a waitress came to us. Though we were a little peeved, I was pretty sure it was because of the Superbowl and it seemed like they were short-staffed. One of today's specials was a 6oz steak and lobster tail for $21, and me being an avid fan of lobster decided to that risk (I'm really spoiled from visiting Maine/New England every summer). My boyfriend ordered the Maryland Crab Cakes. I LOVE corn chowder, and of course when I saw their "Corn Chowder with Lump Crab" I HAD to order that too. Bonefish Grill's corn chowder was without a doubt the best corn chowder I've had to this day. It was thick, rich, and creamy and had a slight peppery taste to it. I absolutely loved the lumps of crab in it, much better than the overcooked chicken that I usually find in corn chowders. As for the main dish, the steak was medium like I asked, but the lobster was way undercooked... and I've had a pretty good share of lobsters. I have never complained about a dish in my life, nor have I ever sent anything back to the kitchen, but it had to be done. The manager happened to walk by the table and I just told him it seemed very undercooked and he apologized and had them make me another one right away. When he came back, he told me I was only going to be charged for the steak, and not the lobster. SERIOUSLY?!? I mean that's a reallyyy good deal for me since my meal came out to be $13 instead of $24 (with soup), but he didn't charge me for what essentially was two lobster tails. I suppose many of the bigger restaurants can afford that. Anyhoo, the second lobster tail was good (again, comparing it to Maine lobster) and the crabcakes were delicious! They weren't too fluffed up with breading, and the sauce it came with was really flavorful. I especially loved the garlic mashed potatoes because I could taste the loads of butter and garlic. All in all, my experience at Bonefish Grill was.. interesting, but not unpleasant. The manager and wait staff were incredibly nice and accommodating, and the food was delicious. Putting all the little kinks aside, I give it a solid 4 stars. read more

Bonefish grill has a variety of seafood that is delicious but at a cost....the on the grill section of the menu is always a family favorite!!! The paring of sauces is to die for! The only issue I had last time is that it was so fucking hot in the restaurant that I had to walk out side & put my tots in the snow..(side note) those margaritas they serve will fuck you up..so plan on having someone else drive or call an uber. read more

But she didn't come back for a while. Which the food got cold. Then she bought the food back out and it seem like they just warmed up the same food. She didn't check on us often. Her customer service skills were not great. This was my first time going to this location. It was nobody in the restaurant at 1:45 pm. And about eight customers if that were there. When Harvey Keitel did a tiny motion with his fingers illustrating this is for the waitresses. Anyway, the waitstaff was extremely pleasant, polite, and knowledgable about the menu. To be quite honest, the entire visit to this restaurant was a party in my mouth. I came out with mother so was stuck with the task of ordering for both of us. I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass for her and the stuffed tiliapia for myself. The tillapia was stuffed with crab, scallops, and shrimp. It was soooooooooooo good. I sampled moms fish that was cooked to perfection; yumminess to the EXTREME; topped it off with 2 of the owners favorite drink, which is the grand margarita. I typically love this place my husband is not a huge fan. We had their Bonefish salad and their fried calamari. I had salmon with Jasmine rice and green beans. My husband had the pork chop. Thick cut. Tasty first few bites until he cut into the thicker part and it was PINK. The pork chop was raw. The server took it away immediately and had the kitchen butterfly at our request and cook further. Heres where it gets interesting. The young manager Nicole comes over to check on us and apologize. I share with her my concern about my husband getting sick she has the nerve to tell me that that is not possible and he couldn't get sick from that you just told a woman with over 20 years experience in the restaurant biz and a chef sitting at your table that someone cannot get sick from raw pork I think you need to go back to safe serve 101 Nicole!!!!
