We were seated right by the revolving door AND the door that constantly opened on a super cold 19 degree night. Our server could have moved us but showed little interest. I've gone to bonefish Grill several times during three or four years. My friends and I have gone there on different occasions. I've enjoyed the bang bang shrimp and their salmon which normally I get with a big salad. The drinks are also good. I recommend bonefish grill. The service is good and so it's the food. read more

Didn't care for the bang bang shrimp b/c to me, on a bed of lettuce, tasting it for the first time not knowing what to expect, tasted like Big Mac sauce. Meh. My grown kid ordered the filet mignon, medium. It came out rare and inedible. We asked the waitress to have it cooked a bit more - she took the meat, and returned with an entire new plate of the bit of potatoes and bit of string beans it comes with, and, the meat she took away was returned well done and tough; wound up taking it home in a box and the next day throwing it out. I had the fish and chips. It was good fish and chips. Nice portion, nicely fried, not greasy. 3 pieces of fish; I took 2 pieces home and...yup, next day tossed it in the trash. I could've heated it in the toaster oven but at that point, no point. My grown kid ordered the non alcoholic blueberry "mojito" I'm going to call it. It is mixed with Sprite. Would have been better if it was mixed with seltzer b/c it was cloyingly sweet and she kept adding water to it to drown the sweetness; by the time she was done adding water and sipping, it was still a full glass of mocktail, and a waste of money. $95 for 2 apps, 2 meals, a soda and a mocktail, plus a $20 tip. I'd heard so much about the this place, and honestly, I won't be back, unless someone else is buying and I'd have just the fish and chips b/c nothing else on the menu appealed to me, and skip the apps. One of the better chains that I've been to recently, with good seafood. We enjoyed the food here, which has a solid selection of seafood and not super outrageous prices. We had the bang bang shrimp tacos (ask for the sauce on the side if you don't like spicy) and the pan-crusted cod with crab on top (with two sides). My only pseudo complaint was there should have been more crab on the fish. We had a nice server who also brought out warm bread with oil and pesto. The food didn't come out very quickly but not too long either. This location has a view of the Garden State Parkway which isn't a great spot and also next to the Paramus Park Mall. It's also attached to a hotel. They text you when your table is ready but they had some sort of issue and we were never called. read more

I can't believe I have never written a review for this place! I really do enjoy coming here. The food never disappoints and neither so the drinks. I am obsessed with their happy hour blueberry drop martini-not strong at all but oh-so-yummy and such a treat! I throughly enjoy their bang bang shrimp and their bread as starters. Kids meals are abundant and fresh. My son recently ordered fish and chips and I was happy to see that they were real pieces of cod. He really enjoyed them! Parking can be a challenge and it gets very busy from about 5;30 on but they do accept reservations which is a huge plus! read more

I have been to this location a bunch of times in the past, but the most recent visit was for a family member's birthday. We came in with a group of 7 for indoor seating around 6pm. We were able to make a last-minute dinner reservation and we did not wait long to be seated. For appetizers, we ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp and Calamari. I absolutely love the Bang Bang Shrimp. The creamy, spicy sauce just makes this dish amazing and I hope they never take this off the menu. Just be aware that this dish may look like they provide plenty of shrimp but half of it is salad. The calamari is just okay. They give such a small quantity and I am not a fan of the tentacles. For my main course, I usually order the Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos but since we had that as an appetizer, I ordered the Georges Bank Scallops & Shrimp with Sautéed Spinach and French Fries as sides. Although hidden in the picture I posted, I'm pleasantly surprised that the scallops looked exactly like the picture on Bonefish Grill's website. The scallops and shrimp tasted great when dipped in the sweet glaze provided. The French Fries were just okay, but the Sautéed Spinach was watery. Overall, my experience is consistently good. We went to Bonefish Grill on a Saturday noon, got seated right away. The server and all other staff at the restaurant were very welcoming and cheerful at the restaurant. As per server's suggestion, we decided to try the Bang Bang Shrimp (appetizer), Risotto Dal Mar, Thermidor Gnocchi. and Atlantic Salmon. The BB Shrimp was delightful, plenty of fried shrimp topped with mouth watering sauce. Thermidor Gnocchi was a good dish as well, filled with lobster tailOn the flip side, we didn't like the composition of Risotto Dal Mar. The Risotto had too much cheese , and the shrimp tasted unflattering. For the Salmon dish, the fish was cooked too long, making it very dry. Among the signature sauces, Pan Asian was the best. The rice I got with Salmon, also had large chunks of dry and hard rice. Food always deserves 5 stars. More hits than misses, by far. I came to this location because my beloved secaucus location is closed for a while, idk why. But today, I was craving bonefish. This review is getting 4 stars instead of 5 because for some reason, servers make it seem utterly impossible for substitutions upon request. I understand and respect a meal's preparation as is - but I'm also not asking for someone to leave the premises to go shopping to substitute an item that's not already on the menu & in the kitchen. In this instance, I asked for creamed spinach (a new item on their menu) instead of the wilted/sautéed spinach that came w/my entrée. The server nervously said no and gave a very long explanation - then said it'd be an upcharge anyway so he can just add it as an extra side. I declined and decided to order it as is. Nevertheless, I had my usual bang bang shrimp and calamari as appetizers. Yum yum eat'em up!! The shrimp rangoon salmon was *chef's kiss* delicioso! I had to pack most of it to go. I can only review this place for my experience sitting at the bar for lunch on multiple occasions. I work right around the corner from this location and every Friday my co-workers and I come here to sit at the bar and have lunch. I've come approximately five times and I find myself looking forward to Fridays at lunch. The food has always been good and the bartender is super nice. I can't think of her name but she is very easy going and pleasant to talk to. I think this is one of the higher end franchise restaurants. The food tastes very fresh and the food comes out fairly quickly. In my five sittings I don't think I've had one bad meal. My co workers also seem to enjoy all the dishes that they've chosen. The price is very decent too. Only $12 for a martini. Not that that's what I'm drinking on a Friday afternoon. I just noticed it on the menu. My partner typically gets four beers and a burger and his bill is usually $30 to $40. That's not bad even compared to a bar in the same area. I don't like to drink at lunch so my bill is typically between $10 and $20 depending on what I get. I actually told my wife I would like to come here for dinner one night and she said "really that place?. " I said yeah the price is not bad and the food is really good and I think we could bring our kids have some drinks and have a nice dinner. I was dying for a crab cake all week, so we finally checked out Bonefish Grill. I should have kept looking for seafood places. The service was pleasant and attentive, but the food and drinks are not great. I got the Crushed Pineapple Martini. It was disgustingly sweet and I couldn't detect the elderflower liquor. My mother enjoyed the strawberry drink that was on the specials. We were told that the bread was in the oven and would be out shortly. Super disappointed when a lukewarm, oil soaked loaf was presented to us. We didn't have to wait long for our food to come out. My mother got shrimp scampi with rice and said it was way too salty. I ordered the sirloin and crab cake. Everything was amazing - except for the crab cake. All I could taste was salt. It felt like it was burning my tongue. My husband loved the salmon dish he ordered off the specials. Lastly we ordered the key lime cake. It was a tad bit dry and incredibly sweet. Overall we were pretty disappointed in the seafood at this seafood restaurant, but I'd definitely come back for that steak w/Mac and cheese again. My family and I started with the Bang Bang Shrimp and a corn chowder serving each. The shrimp was really good, and the corn chowder was decent. I had the lobster tail as my main course, and it was good, though not the best I've had. For about $25 it's on the low side, so consider it good value. My dad had the sirloin steak, and unfortunately the first steak came out well done (he ordered medium well). The manager came out with a second steak after and ensured it was cooked perfectly, in which it was. For a Legal Seafoods substitute this place did well. We have always loved Bonefish Grill from our first time in Florida many years ago. Our recent visit today to Bonefish Grill in Paramus was disappointing. I ordered the Oscar grouper SPECIAL with crab and I needed a magnifying glass to find the crab It came with 4 very skinny tiny asparagus spears. It was served on a large white plate looking very lonely. Presentation was really lacking and my fish tasted frozen and bland. My companions ordered salmon which was served on too small a looking more like an appetizer than actual meal . Really think Bonefish Grill has been slipping over the years and needs to improve on plate presentation a bit . More exciting looking plates. All good and great sprouts in flavor and roasting, but they were not trimmed at the root (trim the roots and use them to flavor another dish or a soup). At many places I order steamed veggies and get mush, so I ask for lightly steamed. I ordered the 7-oz. Sirloin Steak (medium) and Shrimp w/ steamed Green Beans and Jasmine rice. Nicely cooked shrimp, nice sauce, good rice but got rare steak, almost raw beans. This turned out to be good because they were going home as leftovers and now they won't be over cooked when heated. If you don't plan on left overs, tell them if the order is not right and they will make it right. They rarely make mistakes and correct it asap if told. Be honest and be nice. Although the food and service is very good the overwhelming smell of sewage in the bar area makes it unbearable to enjoy your food and drinks. The restrooms are in the hall that takes you to hotel and what I was told it's the hotels responsibility for the problem. Everytime that door opens to the bar area it takes over the entire room. The bartenders and servers say it's been an issue for a long time but hotel won't do anything. Bone fish needs to insist on better standards from them ! It's really disgusting. read more

After attending a gorgeous yelp event here I decided to come back and try some more options with a friend. We were greeted by the same server who was fabulous at the event, Jasmine. She's bubbly and sweet and definitely makes you feel taken care of. The dining room is really nice and has a very elegant feel to it. The bar is also a great area for happy hour or just some apps and drinks. We started with the bang bang shrimp of course. It's always perfect, crispy and spicy, flavorful and fresh. I decided on the crusted cod with lump crab. The cod was super fresh and tasty. The jasmine rice was delicious but I didn't really care for my steamed spinach, it was a little too wet and bland. I'll opt for broccoli next time. My friend got the filet mignon and lobster tail. Her dish was great. Of course I had to get the espresso martini! It's so so good, one of my favorite dessert drinks. I was just a little sad because the rim on my previous visit was so beautiful and presentable. This one arrived to the table looking a little disheveled. Still tasted great though. We also shared the lava cake and it was on point. Fresh berries, delicious moist cake, ooey gooey center, you can't go wrong. Relatively, I had a nice time. The food was good, a bit too salty for my taste. I felt huge grains of salt with every bite of my sirloin. The shrimp was the standout. Only disappointment was our waiter ignored us while he was much more attentive to the tables on either side of us. One table was seated after us but finished before us. I came here for a Yelp Elite event, and it was wonderful. The service was stellar, the restaurant warm & inviting and the food was so enjoyable! We started off by beginning with our first course: appetizers. We were started off by warm bread with a lovely olive oil for dipping. Our server thoughtfully explained what exactly was included in the olive oil and it was great. After this we were also quickly given a delicious cosmopolitan. This was in the style of bonefish grill and it was such a great treat! During this course we were also served bang bang shrimp, crispy calamari and sliders. Each appetizer was thoroughly enjoyable. Moving into the second course we didn't realize we would be served a different drink. For this course we had a Chardonnay. I skipped the wine but others at the table said it was good. For our main course we had a seafood risotto. It seemed a bit different than your typical risotto, but it was a welcome change. The scallops were tender the shrimp was tasty and the pesto sauce added just the right touch. ALL in all it was a very nice risotto dish. For third and final course we were served at insanely delicious chocolate espresso martini. It was highlighted by Sugar rim and chocolate shavings. As a part of dessert we also had a really good gluten-free brownie. The raspberry sauce on top was just with the brownie needed to put it over-the-top. Throughout the whole experience I kept noticing how great the service was. The bartenders, servers and the manager always had a presence and we're always happy to help answer any questions. They really made the whole experience very unique to the Paramus location and that was what made this dining experience different than all the other bonefish experience I've had thus far.
