    Margherita Pizza
    Michari L.

Came to Bonfire Grill for lunch with my boss and coworker, and since I rarely make my way to the Tomball area, this was my first time here--and wow, what an introduction. They had been hyping the food, and I'll admit... the hype was very real. Let's talk about the margherita pizza. I've had a lot of margherita pizzas, and none of them come close to this one. I don't know if it's the sauce, the cheese, the basil, the dough--or the magic of all four together--but every bite was perfection. Easily a 10/10 and officially in my top 10 margherita pizzas ever. The only reason I didn't give it five stars yet? I need to come back and explore more of the menu--especially now that work will have me in Tomball more often. But trust me, this place is absolutely worth the visit. Start with the margherita pizza... you can thank me later.

We love this place and was so surprised to see the low rating. Pizzas are incredible EVERY TIME. Happy hour is also great. This place should be a regular stop for everyone local.

We were looking for a good place for lunch. We happened upon Bonfire. Well this place is fantastic. The Deviled Eggs are amazing, creamy and delicious. The Brussel Sprouts are fabulous with a great flavor. Wife had the meatball appetizer. This is one great meatball in a delicious gravy. The Ruben is on spot and one of the best I ever had. We staying nearby will be back. The wood fire pizza looks spectacular!

Place was amazing. From the food, to the cocktail and wine selection. I got the lamb shank, chachutterie board and the bonfire signature cocktail. Wife got the bolognese. Both dishes well prepared. Jamie was our waiter and was friend and knowledgeable with plenty of recommendations. We will be back. The only downfall is we tried to call ahead and set a reservation but they were too busy to answer the phone. When we arrived, we were told no seats available, only patio seating, and we needed to make a reservation to sit inside. Welp, I tried... I guess the fix is call multiple times or days in advance. Understandable with a small staff and a busy restaurant. Small issue but they worked it out immediately to accommodate. Thanks!

    Midnight margarita

Decided to check this place out for lunch on a Tuesday. This restaurant is tiny. It looks like it seats about 30 people and that's really pushing it. I did not expect it to be that small. My friend and I had strollers and had to be seated at the high top tables for us to even fit. I had the midnight margarita and the chicken club. Both were delicious and the arugula salad that came with the sandwich was fresh and dressing was light. The menu is on the pricey side. On the other had the service was great, we had a very nice waitress and I really appreciated her trying to make us comfortable. I definitely recognize this isn't a place for families but if you have small children, keep in mind it's small and there is no changing table in the bathroom. I would've really appreciated a small changing table for parents. I may come back but probably without kids!

My husband and I enjoyed lunch together. The restaurant has a super cute ambiance, tasty food, and excellent service. We enjoyed the shrimp bisque and the Tuscan chicken pizza. Looking forward to stopping in soon for dinner.

Ask the Community - Bonfire Grill

Were there music and how was the service?

There was not music the last time we were there. I believe the music is done outside. So that would be dependent on weather conditions. Service has always been fine.…

    Can you make reservations?

Yes, please make reservations! It is a quaint, cozy restaurant so especially on the weekends make a reservation.

Do you have a small room for lunch meetings?

No but can accommodate most in a semi corned table when called ahead.

Seriously, it was that good! They also had a special smoked cinnamon Old Fashioned that was incredibly smooth and creamy. Definitely worth trying. We started with the South African board, which was perfect for sharing at the bar and a great way to get a taste of a couple of different apps. For dinner, I ordered the Chilean sea bass, which was really good, but the star of the night was the ostrich filet that my colleague had ordered. It was so delicious and definitely something I wasn't expecting to love as much as I did. And the desserts...to die for! The crème brûlée and sticky toffee pudding were both incredible. Our server, JJ, was also great; attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. I'd definitely recommend Chef's Table Vintage Park for a business dinner, date night, or even just happy hour with a friend. Great food, creative cocktails, and a really nice atmosphere.

You can choose to sit either inside or outside. We went with the Houston Restaurant week menu which features some of their most popular dishes. For the appetizer, we tried the sautéed calamari and gumbo. The calamari had a nice creamy garlic sauce which paired well the sautéed bell pepper, onions, and tender calamari. Their gumbo is solid, not too spicy and had nicely cooked rice and a mix of toppings. The rice had a good bite and absorbed the flavor from the gumbo well. I would recommend the sautéed calamari. For entrees, we ordered the wild caught king clip and steak Diane. The very buttery king clip comes with sautéed spinach and is basted in a creamy, slightly lemony sauce which compliments both elements of the dish. The kingclip is garnished with micro greens and comes with an extra lemon for additional acidity, but I felt that it wasn't needed. The steak Diane had a medium cook and was soooo tender to the bite. I would recommend both, but partial towards the king clip if you want to try something unique! Lastly for dessert, I ordered the passion fruit crème brûlée which had such a unique flavor profile! The tartness of the passion fruit goes surprisingly well with the warm vanilla custard. The texture of the creme brûlée toasted sugar top was perfect as well and added a really nice crunch to every bite. My friend ordered their sticky toffee pudding, which was arguably the best one I've had yet. The toffee syrup is incredibly rich and adds a nice caramelized flavor to the ice cream and moist cake base. It's garnished with bits of sugary crumble and fruit. You really can't go wrong with either, but if I had to pick, their sticky toffee pudding is a must try. All in all, such a fun and intimate dining experience!

Staff is seasoned and professional, even the young staff carry themselves in a refined, respectful manor. Man, I sound old. Point is: it was a breath of fresh air. Now, it is a sports bar. TV Screens you can see from everywhere except the patio. The real money here is that they make everything scratch when you pick it, and Kimberly expressly impressed upon us, substitute and/or add anything you want. It is all custom made to order! (she didn't literally say "and/or" but you get the idea...I'm paraphrasing) None of this; $2.95 to add avocado, or $4.95 to add grilled shrimp. $1 to order your protein of choice blackened, $2 add shrimp. Come on now!!! Do that! This is the quietest sports bar I have ever been to. Dark Wood interior, booths that tuck you away from the crowd but leave you readily exposed to a plethora of flat screens, so you don't miss the Astros and the Yankees! I can't go over this whole menu, because it is like a sprawling playground, so many options. And not like a fast-food fiasco either. You just might want ALL of this stuff. Really, look at the menu, some time went into these names of dishes and array of ingredients. I use Fish Tacos as one of my staple "check this place out" orders. $1 blackened my Cod Tacos and YES! Wnner. fresh made slaw, pretty spicy Adobo Sauce, delicate tortilla, not doughy or thick. And yeah, it's Carb night for Daddy, sweet potato fries...Can I have a moment..."Good" is embarrassed next to these fries. These things rock! I stole my boy's ranch to dip them in. (Don't judge; I can't stand Ketchup) My wife gets the Grilled Chicken Wrap, Its huge. She took half home. My son is yes, still a child, and gets the Chicken Fingers and fries with Lemonade, from their "Small Appetites" menu page, he couldn't finish it. Are you getting the portion picture here? I had to, HAD to, order the smoked pulled pork Oklahoma Kitchen Sink Nachos! A half order, mind you, and we could have left after that and been happy. My first nacho chip didn't even have pork on it and I could taste the smoke, kitchen crafted Pico with a lime bite, Connie's Queso and enough melty Chedder to make your cardiologist throw a flag on the field. It's always hard to say you have a new best friend, but, hard to deny as well...I want at least 15 other items on this menu. The Loo Review, less spectacular, almost don't want to end on it, but here goes... there is a separate sit-down door and its a real door, not a truck-stop stall. Tastefully white tiled, all the stuff you need, and basically, just-get-back-out-there-and-enjoy-the-food adornments. See pics. Clean and tidy, except for the fact this is a sports bar and everybody isn't blessed with aim. Back to the place, did I mention the super-fly patio? draped with lights and lattice work to keep you "inside the venue". I can't give it enough 5 stars. We will return for more. You must go!
