No Complaints here. I would rate our entire experience 10/10. Let's just start with the bathroom.Any establishment that puts tampons in each stall is an absolute winner. Thanks owners for thinking of that small touch that is actually huge for us ladies. I also enjoyed the hand exfoliant and the body butter in the restroom as well. Ok....Moving along to why everyone's here. My guest just had a classic breakfast of eggs, sausage and we added in the lemon cream cheese pancake. I had a sweet tooth and this did the trick. The pancake was soft, fluffy and not an overwhelming sweet from the lemon cream cheese. but enough to cure the craving, All of his food was seasoned well. I had the Chilaquiles and it was so full of flavor. The chicken breast was cooked just right and the addition of corn and abundance of veggies in the dish was a welcoming surprise. It was a very hearty but clean meal. The wait staff was fantastic. Both bartenders (One was from Hawaii- forgot his name) were very welcoming and communicative. The restaurant manager along with owner also came by to greet and check on us. Last but not least, they were celebrating The 4th of July with $2.50 martinis. What a steal!!! I have heard that their happy hour is very decent for the price and the quality that you receive. Fivest of the five star dinners! I chose Fielding's to celebrate landing a new job since they've been consistently good on my previous visits. I was greeted by our server, Kylie, shortly after sitting down. She had my Grey Goose martini with blue cheese stuffed olives out quickly. My friend and I visited for quite a while without ordering and Kylie would stop by just to check on us but never making us feel rushed. We split the wedge salad and it was delicious. I chose a 6 oz filet, MR, with the maître de butter and brussel sprouts as my side. We also had truffle fries. The steak came out a little rare but I let it rest about 5 minutes and it was perfect. The fries were crispy with just the right amount of salt and truffle sauce. The brussel sprouts were glazed and cooked to just the right firmness. We also had the bananas foster for dessert. Came here for a nice brunch with friends, had to make a reservation in advance. Service was friendly and attentive. Ambience is nice, traditional but with modern style. Unfortunately it wasn't very clean, including bathrooms weren't clean at all. I would definitely expect more from place like that. Food selection was pretty good for brunch, portions were large. What a lovely surprise! Some real genius in the kitchen, and some of the most delicious food we've eaten in Houston. The holiday decor is really cute. Eclectic place. This place has such wonderful salads that it's worth coming here just for those. I had the Baby Kale with blueberries, goat feta and walnuts and it was excellent. Mr. Picky ordered the Harvest Chicken Cobb which had a mass of the usual Cobb ingredients, resulting in an absolutely magnificent taste experience!!! Mr. Picky likes ordering Arnold Palmer drinks and said their version with their lemonade was delicious; he even asked the waiter to bring TWO more and have them lined up and ready to go when he finished the current one :-) Mr. Picky said he really liked his Vegetable Masala. My lamb chops were perfect, really tasty with that herbed topping. I tasted his turmeric rice and thought it was so delicious that next time I think I'd order the lamb chops with that rice instead of the lentils, although I have to say everything was delicious. An honorable mention to the wonderful wilted spinach, possibly the best I've eaten in any restaurant, and maybe as good as my mother's. Next time my doctor says we need to eat more spinach, I'm going to use that as my excuse to come over here for lunch. Save room for dessert. I sacrificed eating all my lentils just so I could leave room for dessert because if it was half as good as the savory food, then we would leave very happy. Our waiter Chris recommended the bread pudding and the moment I saw that it was accompanied with my absolute favorite ice cream flavor, rum raisin, I ordered that. Mr. Picky ordered the Tiramisu, and we both preferred what we had ordered. In fact, both were wow wonderful!!! Can't wait to come back for more genius from the chef. This should be rated far higher. We went in for brunch after having had a weird-ish experience at a cafe nearby and we were immediately greeted with big smiles and a very friendly server. I believe his name is Matthew. My eggs benedict was delicious, and had to split it with my husband. Side eye lol. The mimosa was really good as really strong too. I took one to go and it gave me a good strong buzz. We'll definitely be back. The only thing is that the decor needs a little bit of work. Over priced money grab. Every item on the menu was $5-10 (at least) over what should have been. On top of price being way too much, portions were small and unseasoned. Service was great, but could not overcome the issues. The fresh flowers were nice. In the bathroom they have open containers of their hand creams and soaps like samples but only one spoon everyone gets to share. Not sure of the hygiene on that. Nothing worse than sipping on a Martini and staring at five year old sitting at the next table! Ugh no thanks! But on this night thankfully the bar had a sepárate area and there were no kids in site. My GF and I came in for dinner to celebrate her birthday and since it was so crowded we dined at the bar. My dinner included scallops $49 they were delicious but waaay overpriced is there still a shortage? My vino rojo wine was devine. The service however was as slow as molasses. Fielding's is quite proud of their food. $30 burger and $78 ribeye (12 oz). Food is good but there are restaurants near by that provide much better value. Go across the street to an actual steakhouse and getter much better steaks and burgers for far less. Won't go back with so many other options providing better food at better prices. read more

Fieldings has definitely lost a customer. Went for a late lunch and had a wonderful meal until I took my three year old son to the bathroom. Everything was fine when we went in but upon leaving the stall immediately stepped in what looked like vomit, which my son slipped and fell in. I stepped outside and asked for help, then went back into the bathroom to stay with my son, nobody came to check on us despite several servers standing and placing orders. It turns out it was the sewer that had backed up and was all over the floor. No one offered to help, not even get a towel, no offer to comp our meal, not even a bag for my kids soiled christmas clothes. Nothing. The manager stated this was a reoccurring problem and said a plumber was scheduled for next week which frustrated me even more that they knew this was an issue and has happened several times. I've never had such a disgusting experience at a restaurant. icing on the cake- it's cold out and my poor kid had to walk to the car wet because they closed the bathroom and the bathroom in the greenspace was closed too. read more

I went here on a Saturday afternoon ~6pm. It was really busy! I ordered takeout, so I didn't get the full dining experience. The restaurant seemed nice and swanky, but was much louder and less intimate than I expected. Also - it's in a really busy shopping area, so there's a lot of people walking around & hanging out at the little park. The food was good but very expensive. I got the fried chicken sandwich & the croissant bread pudding. Both of these were really great but a little overpriced. I'd probably pay around $15 for the sandwich & $10 for the bread pudding. (Both were 20 + 13 respectively). The food tasted really good though! The sandwich was juicy & tender & perfectly spiced/seasoned. It was really flavorful. The fries were good (but a little cold - my fault because I got takeout). The bread pudding was really good as well. I might go here again, but probably only for a special occasion. I went here for a girl's lunch during the day on a Friday and thankfully it wasn't extremely busy because we were a very large group, just under 20 I believe. First off, I have to say that the staff was extremely helpful, the girl who took my order was really nice and accommodating for what I was trying to order since I kept asking for her recommendations, because I did not look at that menu beforehand (something I usually do). I started with a latte because it was still early, and wish they had sugar free options. The white chocolate latte was good and I feel guilty about it not being sugar free. But there you have it. For food, I ended up going with the Margherita with onions and artichokes, which was really yummy. I am glad I ended up going with that because it was a good size and I wanted to have something for leftovers. I also liked the ranch that I got on the side (I'm somewhat of a ranch snob). There also is a million teenagers that hang out around the green area and can be loud and almost dangerous as kids kick balls into the restaurant. My wife and I had a great experience here at Fieldings. We prefer sitting at the bar when we go out and this bar did not disappoint. As soon as we sat down we were warmly greeted by one of the bartenders, Julie. It was our first time so she walked us through the menu and explained the halloween featured items. We ordered the smoked old fashion and the sangria spritz which were both TO DIE FOR. Julie raved about the halloween special ravioli so we ordered that as an appetizer and she was absolutely right. Perfectly cooked, perfectly flavored, and perfectly festive. The halloween decorations around the restaurant only added to the experience. We were here on Saturday night and the other 2 ladies working behind the bar were also absolutely wonderful. We definitely recommend this place to anyone and we will be back. read more

This was our weakly spot for diner or happy hour and most times both. However, this last visit might just be our last upon arriving we were told we could sit anywhere we liked outside. I was deployed with the National Guard, and the first place I wanted to go to when I got home was Fieldings. They have not only a great ambiance and decor which changes with each holiday season, but they have great service, delicious food, and unique takes on classic cocktails that also changes every so often. My favorite drink there is the Smokey Old Fashioned while my wife loves the Fielding's French 75. For appetizers, my wife and I always split the Spanish Octopus. It is usually very tender and delicate. It is served over a mashed potato that is flavored with spices and appears a reddish-orange color that compliments the natural colors of the octopus. Fielding's is my go-to for a consistent and reliably delicious, well-prepared filet mignon. They come with fries, and I always upgrade to the truffle oil which also comes with parmesan. For dessert, you have to try their Bananas Foster. The presentation is worth the price and the dessert itself is perfection. If you like live music, they have it on Friday and Saturday nights. The music isn't too loud and it's always been tasteful and a really nice addition to the fun ambiance on a weekend night. read more
