Always an incredible experience here every time. I love the atmosphere, the food, and the service! Such a cute place and fun to walk around after too

Greg Goose martini with blue cheese stuffed olives

Fivest of the five star dinners! I chose Fielding's to celebrate landing a new job since they've been consistently good on my previous visits. I was greeted by our server, Kylie, shortly after sitting down. She had my Grey Goose martini with blue cheese stuffed olives out quickly. My friend and I visited for quite a while without ordering and Kylie would stop by just to check on us but never making us feel rushed. We split the wedge salad and it was delicious. I chose a 6 oz filet, MR, with the maître de butter and brussel sprouts as my side. We also had truffle fries. The steak came out a little rare but I let it rest about 5 minutes and it was perfect. The fries were crispy with just the right amount of salt and truffle sauce. The brussel sprouts were glazed and cooked to just the right firmness. We also had the bananas foster for dessert. The presentation was great and it was oh so yummy. The ambience was perfect, the service was amazing and everything made for a fantastic celebration night.

Came here for a nice brunch with friends, had to make a reservation in advance. Service was friendly and attentive. Ambience is nice, traditional but with modern style. Unfortunately it wasn't very clean, including bathrooms weren't clean at all. I would definitely expect more from place like that. Food selection was pretty good for brunch, portions were large. I we had bread basket to start and was very good. I had an egg with mushroom and was pretty delicious. Overall a nice place to have a brunch!

One of my favorite spots to meet girlfriends for drinks and appetizers. Ingredients are fresh and menu is frequently changing it. It's lovely to sit inside or on the outdoor patio. Staff is helpful and prompt. They even do catering for parties. If you are in Creekside, this is not to be missed.

    My mimosa... Yum

Great food, great service, and great ambience! We went in for brunch after having had a weird-ish experience at a cafe nearby and we were immediately greeted with big smiles and a very friendly server. I believe his name is Matthew. My eggs benedict was delicious, and had to split it with my husband. Side eye lol. The mimosa was really good as really strong too. I took one to go and it gave me a good strong buzz. We'll definitely be back. The only thing is that the decor needs a little bit of work. The big fake flowers on the wall isn't really complimenting what actually a nice restaurant in a nice spot!

I've been taking my residents at The Landing at Augusta Woods to Fielding's since we've opened back in 2021 and it's always a wonderful experience for us! Everyone treats us like royalty - we've never had a server we didn't like! The food is always great (we definitely recommend the cast iron bread to start) and my residents have never seen so many fries that the griddle cheeseburger comes with Definitely recommend Fielding's

Fieldings has definitely lost a customer. Went for a late lunch and had a wonderful meal until I took my three year old son to the bathroom. Everything was fine when we went in but upon leaving the stall immediately stepped in what looked like vomit, which my son slipped and fell in. I stepped outside and asked for help, then went back into the bathroom to stay with my son, nobody came to check on us despite several servers standing and placing orders. It turns out it was the sewer that had backed up and was all over the floor. No one offered to help, not even get a towel, no offer to comp our meal, not even a bag for my kids soiled christmas clothes. Nothing. The manager stated this was a reoccurring problem and said a plumber was scheduled for next week which frustrated me even more that they knew this was an issue and has happened several times. I've never had such a disgusting experience at a restaurant. icing on the cake- it's cold out and my poor kid had to walk to the car wet because they closed the bathroom and the bathroom in the greenspace was closed too.

If you've read my other reviews then you know I big on service and this place doesn't disappoint, ever! From being greeted at the door and seated quickly, I felt a personalized touch. They have many good options for all palettes and diets so don't be afraid to try anything. I've had the butter chicken, the pappardelle and the pizza and Ive never been disappointed.

The most amazing grilled octopus! Get this. Seriously so delectable. I plan to bring my sister when she visits. Exceptional service and hibby enjoyed the smoked old fashion drink.

We entered to a friendly staff who sat us immediately. The vibe is very modern with some Mexican influence. We were with another couple and I think they were under the impression that this would be Tex-Mex, but it is not. For drinks I got a Mezcalina, my wife got a normal margarita normally I don't love Mezcal, but was feeling adventurous and this drink did not disappoint, it exploded with flavor and was my favorite drink I have had here. The bar program might be the best of any restaurant in the area, as it should be since they have a speakeasy as well. In my previous trip they brought us complimentary chips and salsa, but the time they brought Mexican hummus and pita. I was initially disappointed, but this was one of the more unique complimentary dishes I have had, and loved it. For starters, we got the TOSTADA CHUTORO, which was a tostada with raw fish and caviar. There were two, and although smaller bites to share, the flavor once again really shined through. I would say this is similar to a ceviche dish with really fresh fish and bright flavors.

Food was good, but I'm not sure if I could consider anything spectacular enough to justify some of the prices. I decided on the Aguachile Wagyu, which was perfectly cooked and paired with charred herbs. Very enjoyable for a small high-protein meal. My friend ordered Tacos de Filete, which she said were, "okay." We also had a few drinks... They were heavy pours. My only complaint is that the tajin-salt rims were more for decoration (smeared across the side of the glass and not very hygienic) rather than for the palette. Worth mentioning: We were never offered any chips or salsa, although I've read reviews where other patrons enjoyed some before their meal. Our server was friendly, but a bit disconnected.... Maybe that was the biggest problem - - the experience was diminished due to lackluster service.

The food was incredible from the tapas to the sangria trio. I was reminded of being in Madrid Spain with my family! As this is basic Spanish food cooking technique is paramount and current chef clearly does not understand/have skills. The gazpacho was recently overly thick and creamy (more bread and olive oil) and was lacking fresh vibrant vegetable flavor. Plus it wasn't as chilled in past (did they originally use a little bit of ice during pureeing? And now stopped). The paella was a total mess. It arrived soupy with a quarter inch of liquid still in bottom of pan. While not "overcooked " to mushy. The rice was well past al dente. Obviously achieving socarrat was impossible. While yellow it was lacking ANY distinct saffron flavor that it used to have. I also did not notice any threads- have they now gone to powdered saffron and cut back on amount too???? The Torta San Sebastian was still "very good" but it's crust was overcooked and gummy. TBH, it really wasn't that bad and normally I wouldn't comment but given above complaints I feel it is part of a trend. We have been coming here about 4X per year. Will still come back to try Tapas, but again their basic Spanish Tapas require a deft cooking technique- so we'll see how those go. Oh well, As George Harrison wrote in 1970 "All Things Must Pass" This is not an uncommon trend in Mom & Pop places - once successful, staff get hired to replace overworked family and quality deteriorates I kept it at 3 stars because food wasn't terrible nor inedible. Just nothing special. Poorly made average American version of European classics. I am also holding out hope that it gets better- I have to believe other regulars have commented (or did they just quietly stop coming? Which is the worse)

Upon arrival we noticed the live music was held on the outside patio that's shared with some other neighboring restaurants. We approached the hostess and requested to sit outside however she stated there were no open tables. I asked if we could be notified when a table opened and she stated yes. In the meantime we sat in the bar area. A gentleman approached us initially to take our drink order, then he switched with another waitress. The restaurant was really nice with dim lighting that sets the tone for an intimate date night. We ordered a wedge salad, crab cakes, steak, fries, and mac n cheese. Presentation of the food was really nice and overall the food was decent. We anticipated this steakhouse being comparable to a Perry's or Kirby's, however customer service and food quality did not meet the bar as we expected. There were a few tables that opened up outside however the hostess never informed us that we could move to the patio. That was disappointing as we mainly came for the music. But overall it was a decent experience.

TL:DR it is a solid choice for a special experience and a great steak. I would go again. We started off with a couple of mocktails: The Blood Orange Fizz and the mint virgin Old Fashioned. The Old Fashioned was a very tasty concoction--no alcohol burn of course but it captured the sharpness of an Old Fashioned and I really liked the mint. The Blood Orange Fizz was a mild disappointment--it had very little fizz and really needed it. Flavor was OK but not as good flat. We later got a bourbon flight, which was delivered by the bourbon sommelier and was quite fun. For starters we got a wedge salad, the Steakhouse Meatballs, and the Bacon Wrapped Scallops. The salad was fine, a standard garden salad with nice fresh ingredients. The meatballs were excellent--a steak and pork belly blend with a blueberry pepper sauce with onion strings. Great texture, lots of umami and good salt flavor. I absolutely want these next time. Same with the bacon wrapped scallops. They come on a bed of 3-cheese grits that were wonderfully creamy. The sauce has just a little heat. The scallops and bacon were cooked just right. Their seafood entrees are served over these grits, and though we didn't get any seafood I would try some next time for the grits. On to the mains: We had the Refuge Filet, the New York Strip, the Wood-fired Chicken, and the pork chop. The Refuge Filet was the highlight--the jalapeno, bacon and bleu cheese really complement the steak flavor. The steak was impeccably tender and done just right. The New York Strip was also very good. I am not a fan of this cut--when I cook it at home it's always tough. But their version is reasonably tender and has great flavor from the tallow butter they put on it. The steaks came with mashed potatoes that were pretty bland and ordinary. The wood-fired chicken was tender and had good flavor. It is marinated in lemon but we couldn't really taste it except in the bed of risotto. The risotto was quite good, nice and creamy. The pork chop was complicated. It had a tender uniform texture all the way through and nice flavor. I couldn't find any grain in it, almost like it was a fine grind. The sauce was ok, a bit one-note sweet for me. Different from and perhaps better than Perry's chop, but I think I would try something else next time. These dishes came with Apple-Bacon Brussels Sprouts and roasted carrots. The brussels sprouts were a disappointment. Might have known since it's misspelled on the menu. The brussels sprouts were barely cooked and quite tough, with too much of the bottom stem left on, adding to the bitterness. The roast carrots were fine. Since we had a birthday in the party we were treated to a special dessert. Birthday dessert at The Refuge has two major advantages--a nice tableside presentation of bread pudding flambe, and no annoying birthday song. Yay! Definitely tell them it's your birthday. The dessert is a banana bread pudding topped with ice cream. Rather uniform texture but good flavor and excellent with the ice cream. The ambiance is appropriately dark and sumptuous for a fancy steakhouse. The bathrooms are upscale, with available cloth towels. Service was fine but at a pretty relaxed pace, I definitely felt ready for the next course before it came. But we at times requested things from waiters other than the one waiting our table, and they responded immediately--good teamwork. This is not a bargain place, but we got out for under $100 apiece which I actually think is pretty good for an end-to-end meal. If you go to a steakhouse for steaks, you will do well at The Refuge.
