Honestly I don't have much of a problem coming here. But for some reason I try to order online and the website wouldn't take my card. So I come up to the store to order and the prices are HIGHER ! I don't know why but I was pis

I was a repeat customer over 4 years ago and this place was always a hit. I moved away to DFW and finally found my way back to Houston, but I was scared to come back to try it since there were a few reviews where people complained about the quality of the wings and price increases. Thankfully, it did not disappoint. The wings were a good size and everything tasted great, they also didn't skimp on the fries portion which I appreciate since potatoes aren't that expensive. I also added cheese to the boudain balls and they complimented the meal very well. I loved every bite. The inside of the restaurant has a fair selection of seating and was clean. They expanded since my last visit, looks nicer now. Finding a parking spot was not an issue during a Friday around dinner time. The service was also very attentive, my partner went to ask for a to-go box and before the person in the front could find one, someone popped up from the back (I guess they overheard) and handed one to her. I'll be coming back whenever I'm around the area and am in the mood for some delicious wings.

Bonfire used to be really good but I feel like they have changed their recipes. I visited this past weekend and the Bonfire Fried were okay but the Garlic Parmesan were really good. We also had the Original Hot which I don't eat but my friends had mixed reviews about them. The boudin balls and pina coladas are really good as well.

Came here because I saw an advertisement at the Galena Park HS Football game. Ordered the Bonfire Special; lemon pepper, spicy creole, and upgraded boudin balls with cheese. Lemon pepper was amazing! The spicy creole tasted very plain. The boudin balls were good just disappointed with lack of cheese. But still great flavor. Service was friendly, food speed not so fast. Ambiance, was decent, I wish they would have had the local football games on (North Shore, I came to Bonfire in a Friday).

The wings are amazing close second to Pluckers. These types of wings are cajun style! I typically order the cajun mojito (used to be called mojo) and it is impressively tasty and the right kind of spicy. Fries are very good and they use Heinz ketchup! Love the traditional boudin balls with ranch. Service is super fast. The place was remodeled a few years back and it is much nicer ambience. They have the modern coke machines too. Don't forget to get the loyalty points as well with your meal. I've been going to this place for 15 years and have never been disappointed. A must stop for wing lovers.

Bonfire special: Garlic Parmesan wings, substitute for the boudin balls with cheese and order an extra ranch. Delicious.

I don't even remember what I ordered the food was great. Wings went in crazy 10/10 recommend. The service was maybe a 8/10 because the lady couldnt really tell me what she would recommend because she didn't know what I was asking for sone reason.. overall the ambiance of this wing spot was great.. good food that made me happy and go back the next day.. great job

All I wanted to do was take an eggroll and biscuit off but u can tell she was money hungry. She was very rude and just was rushing for the money. That instantly made my husband mad. Anyways not only was the lady, I think her name was Mama D rude she put the order in wrong. I was there at 3:50 ish so I was just in time for happy hour at 4, so I waited to order my drink. She didn't want me to order it to go for whatever problematic reason so I told her I didn't want it bc I knew I couldn't finish the margarita that quick. She told me my food was gone take wayyy longer so I said ok I'll have a drink while I wait. The food came out and I was like I knew that was gone happen. Didn't even take one sip. She had an attitude bc not she had to give me the to go cup. Mind u the cups aren't the same she filled it up half way and said it's on special like I shouldn't be questioning why it was half full. Still left her a tip bc I support Black Businesses. Order was still wrong. . Just rude for no reason. The shrimp were good. I ordered hot lemon pepper it was mediocre. She was also rude to the ppl that walked in telling them where to sit. Business minded ppl would've had it blocked off or something. Would not go back bc HOUSTON has good food all around and customer service is mandatory! Be humble!

I noticed they now advertise 50 flavors, and the specials have changed as well. Unfortunately, just my luck, my usual flavor, Spicy Lemon Pepper BBQ, is no longer on the menu. I decided to try Spicy Lemon Pepper Honey instead, and it was actually really good. I'd definitely order that flavor again. My friend ordered the same flavor, but her order only came out as regular Spicy Lemon Pepper, so she was understandably disappointed with that mix-up. I also ordered two separate 6-count wing orders ($10.99 each) and was only given one ranch sauce. Mind you, these weren't part of a wing special. If I had ordered a 12-count with two flavors, I would've understood, but ordering two separate 6-counts made me assume we'd each get our own sauce. Maybe I should've been more specific, but honestly, I didn't think that would be necessary. The other odd part of the experience was requesting the wings to be fried hard. The cook came out from the back three separate times to confirm that's what I wanted and kept emphasizing that it would take 20 minutes. I was a little confused because, yes, that's exactly how I ordered them, and I was perfectly fine waiting since I'm paying for the food. I even asked how long they normally cook them because all the repeated confirmations started making me concerned. The reason I requested them fried hard in the first place was because during a previous visit, the wings were soft and borderline undercooked. Overall, the wings were good this time around, but the multiple service hiccups made the experience a little frustrating. I'd probably come back, but maybe on a Wednesday for the .99 special because there are other places in Houston with better wing deals at this price point. The food has potential, especially with all the flavor options, but consistency and attention to detail could definitely be improved.

Nice cozy place, perfect setting for fried chicken. I am sure they had other stuff, but that was the mission for this visit. Started with fried pickle spears, probably the best I have ever had, no joke. Perfect coating, taste and preparation. I like the spears vs the chips. Had the special which was to legs and two thighs for the price of the 3 pc dark. Beans and slaw. Ok, the chicken was great, moist, seasoned, very well cooked. I will go out of my way to go here for the chicken. Beans, canned with a little flavor added, nothing to brag about the slaw was pretty good. The fries on my friend's plate looked great. Perfect. We got here at about 1145, the place was busy. By 1215, it was packed, but they move people through and do a booming take out. Try it, you will like it. It satisfied my fried chicken desire and. First, I noticed that the staff handling food behind the counter were not wearing gloves. Hygiene is important, especially when preparing and serving food, and it was concerning that no one appeared to be following proper food safety practices. At that time, the rotisserie was already being cleaned, which told me they had stopped preparing fresh chicken for the day. Instead, they were serving pre-cooked chicken kept in a warmer. As expected, this made the chicken dry and hard on the outside. I ordered the 1/2 dark meat chicken with yellow rice and Tequeños. However, I was given two small leg quarters and an extra piece of white meat--which I didn't ask for--all of which were extremely dry. The portion size has noticeably decreased as well. I was also very concerned to see them using spray cleaner near the food, which poses a risk of chemical contamination. On top of that, the Tequeños were extremely dark and tasted like they had been refried, nearly burnt. Adding to the poor experience, one of the girls behind the counter was playing around and massaging her coworkers while customers were being served. That level of unprofessional behavior is not something anyone wants to see while waiting for their food. I've always liked this place for its fresh rotisserie chicken, but it feels like DoDo's has started cutting corners on both food quality and cleanliness. Paying $19.52 for this meal just didn't feel worth it.
