    Mung Bean Juice (not good)
    Amy Y.

The porridge here is good but avoid the mung bean drink at all cost. I had it once a long time ago. Not sure why they changed it but the mung beans were blended this time and the drink was so gross. The first time the mung beans were whole and somehow blending it gave it a really weird texture. Avoid!!

I've been wanting to try Bonjuk for months and it took me getting sick to finally order some :') I ordered their abalone porridge via UberEats, and it was still warm when delivered. The portion size is very generous. Truly the perfect meal and almost cured my cold ;)

Hearty, quality, fresh ingredients. Plentiful choices of hot, nutritious, comfort rice porridge (juk). We ordered several to go. Great flavors and great packaging job. Perfect option for a cold, rainy or snowy day or when you or someone you know is sick. Pricey and priceless. It's in the details. Love how they mince the banchans to make the eating and digesting of them easier for those who are under the weather.

I really like this place. Came on a Saturday around lunch time. Parking was a little difficult, there were big warning signs in the lot and restaurant door "Don't Park in the Mall", which we almost did, yikes! We ended up parking in one of the metered spots on the street around the corner. Place was quiet and low key. Music playing was very relaxing. Service was very friendly and attentive. Portion sizes were huge and beautifully presented with cute animal faces like bears, rabbits and tigers in the bowls accompanied by colorful condiments and side dishes. Honestly, I thought they looked better than the pictures in the menu. It was my first time having Korean style porrige and our server was kind enough to explain how to eat it. We were told to use the large spoon to transfer the porrige from the larger bowl into the smaller empty bowl and then use the radish water to cool down the hot porrige and add condiments for flavor as needed. Good advice as the porrige in the large bowl was quite hot. Our party ordered a number of different porriges and a chicken curry katsu. Everything tasted amazing and was very comforting.

I came down with cold and needed some nourishing food and Bonjuk came to my rescue via delivery app. It was our first time ordering from here and HOT. DANG. they are expensive for what it is... porridge! But I have to say, the Beef & Mushroom Porridge nourished my soul. #sighitwasgood. We enjoyed their appetite-tingling little things of pickles and banchan that came with it. Their bulgogi bibimbap we also ordered was decent, but nothing too special. However, it was good to round out the meal quantity because porridge alone... digests real quick cuz it's essentially ... bloated rice. Haha. Would I order delivery here again? Probably not unless I'm sick with a flu. It's just $$$ but it IS good quality, hearty stuff that is excellent when you're sick with low appetite and hugely swollen throat that makes it hard to eat hard food. Just know what you're ordering before you pull the trigger.

Delicious food, great banchan, generous portions and very warm and attentive service. The lady who served us was so nice and gave us extra banchan to take home with our leftovers! I'd love to come back

I got lucky to find this place because I was unable to digest any food when I visited in Fort Lee. I ended up visiting 2 days in a row! (Especially porridge is the only food I could eat at that time.) My shrimp porridge was great. My husband also ordered chicken porridge and it was very tasty too! The owner was super friendly and supportive throughout our visits. Service went very smooth and the owner promptly took care of everything. She was willing to know about how my visit went in Fort Lee. Thank you so much. I'll love to visit here again most definitely!

Found hair in take out order and one of my banchans. I know it is not mine bc my hair is dyed. Disappointing.

Terrible experience with this place. The hostess was rude. We went in around 8:25pm, which is thirty minutes from closing. We asked for a table of six. There were empty tables around and not full at all. Hostess says no seating available because party too large. We suggested we can split up into party of four and two. Clearly she didn't want to rearrange the tables. She ignores the suggestion and kept saying can't seat party due to large size and acting like she can't understand what we saying. I understand that she wants to go home after a long day of work but rudeness and pretending not to understand what we were suggesting is utter asshole move. Won't go back.

This review is for a takeout. Bibimbop has good amount of bulgogi and 6 different types of cooked and seasoned vegetables. Side dishes are very small in quantity and was surprised the miso soup didn't taste that good. How is that possible? Anyways, i expected an incredible bibimbop because it costs $18. Unfortunately it's like any other bibimbop Nothing special. I also thought it should come with fried eggs which was missing. This restaurant needs to adjust pricing to be more competitive. I won't be returning to this restaurant.

Ordered three things: 1) marinated crabs, small size (5/5). Always a must-get here. 2) ddukbaegi bulgogi (4.5/5) - Thinly sliced prime marinated beef ribeye casserole with rice cake and glass noodle and mushroom served in a sizzling hot pot. Really flavorful and so good to have on a cold day. 3) ahjae ppyo jjim (4.5/5) - Braised prime beef meat bones in soy reduction with carrots, radish, dates, chestnut, rice cake and glass noodles. We got non-spicy. It came in a HUGE bowl. Definitely meant to be shared with a group. Took leftovers home and it was still yummy the next day mixed with knife-cut noodles I had at home.

Even the Kimchi Stew and Gyeran-jjim were more umami than the countless counterparts I've had elsewhere. The food itself is consistently good. The parking lot is very, very small and shared with the cafe next door, so parking can be a squeeze. Because it's so popular, it gets very busy during prime dining hours. Even when I've ordered takeout, there can sometimes be a decent wait to get your food so I recommend order online or over the phone ahead. They do charge a little extra if you pay with a credit card to cover the fees. If you visit during the summer months, you absolutely have to try the Naeng Myeon (cold noodle soup) or the Bibim Naeng Myeon (spicy cold noodles). We decided on this place because rating was pretty good and was open late. It's located in a plaza with Korean market, liquor store, cafe and such. Large parking area available in the plaza. Inside is small but clean and gives off traditional Korean restaurant vibe with of course Korean music. There were quite few Korean customers as well as staffs so i knew we were in the right place. They specialize in Korean beef soup. We ordered rice cake and dumplings and special beef rib soup. The fish came with purple rice and various kimchi and pickled veggies side dishes. They also serve korean hot tea along side the dishes. My special beef rib soup was very light and clear but full of beef flavor. Little touch with salt and pepper with pickled veggies and rice paired with very well. The meats were very tender and flavorful as well. Portion is quite large and i was not able to finish my bowl although i did help with another bowl of rice from my partner. My partner got the rice cake and dumplings beef soup. This one was a but lighter and needed more salt flavoring but also good. She liked her's better as she doesn't like heavier and fattier meat/broth. Salt and peppers are provided to adjust your seasoning as needed. Even though they could not finish the dishes i throughly enjoyed the food. What i like about Korean dishes is that even some are heavy and fatty they include lots of vegetables and healthy ingredients which makes it feel like you had a healthy meal and lots of nutrients despite eating out.
