At the Ft Worth Stockyards in Texas. Stopped in at Booger Reds Saloon. We sat at the bar for lunch. They have some saddles for seats. Great Saloon atmosphere. Just a good old place to eat, drink and get that Cowboy feeling. Jeanette was our bartender.... what a pleasant young lady. Full of smiles with that Texan accent!! Great service. After ordering our Buffalo Butt beers..... We ordered the brisket platter w/ coleslaw & fire roasted creamed corn w/ sausage. Brisket was tender and full of flavor!! Could make a full meal out of the creamed corn . Over the top delicious. YUM !!!! YES...... highly recommended !!!!

Steak, ribs, sweet thighs and baked beans were delicious. Also the baked bread was amazing. The corn lacked a bit of flavor and the skillet potatoes were just okay. The drinks were huge and delicious. The service was great and the ambiance is just what we wanted. The ole saloon feel. Recommended

This was our first time at the Stockyards in over ten years and we were very excited about having lunch at Booger Red's. Unfortunately, we were met with terrible service. We sat at the bar while waiting for a table. We noticed after ordering drinks that and my mother's barstool was falling apart. So much so that a strip of leather was hanging off with sharp tacks sticking out. It was dangerous. When we told the bartender he bluntly said he didn't have anything else to sit on and he could take it away or she could sit and risk it. No apologies and no worries about her safety. The female bartender was very sweet and although she was busy, she was attentive and suggested some specialty drinks. They were yummy! The hosts were some of the most rude young ladies I have ever come in contact with. I was really surprised at how inhospitable and rude they were for such an iconic location in Texas. No Texas hospitality at this host stand! WOOF. Luckily our experience was somewhat saved by the quality of food. My boyfriend ordered the chicken fried steak and I got a brisket barbecue sandwich. Both were delicious! I hope they have friendlier staff working the next time we go in for a meal. It's an awesome environment with a lot of things to look at in the heart of the stockyards. Such a pity we they had such rude staff.

Bad service and okay food. Supposed to be great if you love steak. The Broccoli Cheddar Bacon bites are great. Service was bad but likely just our server. The other servers around were much mire attentive. Not recommended if you don't want to eat red meat.

An entertaining, casual spot in the Stockyards with a little store where you can purchase slngshots, sit at a bull seat at the bar, and imbibe huge drinks. Regrettably the food leaves much to be desired. The corn on the cob was overcooked and bland, the side of spinach was more like a side of ranch, and the fish was tough from overcooking. I can't get over the giant portion sizes. This is not a place to go for healthy eats. But the food is cheap here. Good for a group. Our table of seven with six ordering steak dishes, a few appetizers and drinks came out to only $280. Yay Texas prices!

Good beer and cool ceiling fans

We stopped here for some beers and appetizers. I was blown away with how cool the decor is. They have saddles for bar stools, animals all over the walls, really cool ceiling fans, and lots of neat wall decor. They are known for their margaritas but they also have some local micros. Would definitely recommend you stop here while in town!

Best meal of our trip to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. My husband noticed the roaring fire as we turned down Exchange Street to find parking for our visit to the Stockyards. When we decided it was time to grab a bite to eat, he suggested we check it out. Glad we did! We decided to go a little on the light side instead of full entrees. I had the burnt ends with a side of sauteed spinach. He, of course, went with the ribs, but from the appetizers section of the menu. And I think he may have gotten a side of fries. The burnt ends practically melted in my mouth. They had just the right amount of bbq sauce so it enhanced the flavor instead of burying it. The spinach, which was covered (not smothered) inthe some type of cheese sauceand and a sprinkling of pine nuts, was excellent. Hubby loved his ribs and sucked the bones clean, which didn't seem hard to do as the meat fell right off. I had asked if they had cornbread, but was told no, only regular bread, which our server did bring to us. I couldn't stop eating it. Crusty outside and warm soft inside. Even now I want some. I don't have usually review beverages because wewere don't really drink and non-alcoholic options are usually pretty limited. But our server mentioned strawberry lemonade, so I decided to try it. BEST STRAWBERRY LEMONADE EVER! I ordered a 2nd and she told me it wasn't free refills, and I said that was fine because it was well worth the price. Overall, everything was excellent - food, service and atmosphere. Highly recommend!!

They're mushy, so real overcooked. Service is hit it miss. Sometimes I've gotten a server who may not understand the best English and is sorta short with us. I can understand that, but also it's not enjoyable. The place is usually a mess... But I say that because it's usually super busy as well so I'm not complaining about that because they clean up. It's just a constant flow of people. They also increase their prices quite a bit and the price of snow crab has went down. So unless the prices go back down to a reasonable amount, I probably won't go back, but I'd still advise for you to try it out.

The cesar salad was overly drenched in dressing, the dressing is good but it was a just alot. We do appreciate that there are alternative options offered not within the menu we had set, I think someone mentioned there was an alfredo & maybe another fish such as salmon? I can't remember all the reasons why we asked but I know one reason was because they said they could not cater to the individual steak preferences in large groups, made sense in an efficiency way when they explained it. What they didn't tell us after some chose not order steak for that very reason, was that after anyone who ordered steak & cut into it, they could back to cook it longer based on each individual's preference. I'm allergic to shrimp, I ordered the steak with vegetables. I did inform the waiter that I had a shrimp allergy, he was gracious & asked me a few questions to help better address my food preparation. A few minutes later another staff member, maybe a manager, comes in & thanks us for choosing there restaurant. Then he asks who has the allergy & asks the same questions the waiter asked me. It just put me on the spotlight that I (nor several of my coworkers) felt was necessary. It wasn't embarrassing but more annoying seeing how our waiter had been thorough, or come to me one on one just to reconfirm if needed. I felt bad for my coworkers because they now had genuine concern I might be exposed to something since many had shrimp dishes. I will say that I did enjoy the steak & asparagus. Dessert was delicious, a great creme brulee & the cheesecake slices were generous! Also, there were larger amounts of time between when the first person got their salad or soup to when the last person received theirs, same situation with the entrées. In both phases they basically asked who was missing what & then asked what they had. Refills & drinks, the same. Maybe they were short handed but if they were, we wished they would've communicated that so we could anticipate any timing issues. Aside from the allergy thing, the staff tending to us were very polite. Maybe it's more of a training issue higher up because they seemed to be doing their best, but right now it's a miss at this location.

Our group attended for a company dinner and we enjoyed our array of delicious dishes as well as cocktails. Eddie V's is a fine dining experience with business casual dress code required. The interior is polished and elegant with a private room bookable for groups. Now to the food! Appetizers were incredible and I wouldn't mind them being the main course either, especially the calamari. Crispy, fried to perfection with stir fried veggies filled with so much flavor. For the main course, I had the Chilean sea bass. The quality of the seafood here does not disappoint. While Hong Kong styled, it does stray from the original dish stylistically. The traditional element of thinly sliced scallions doused with hot oil as a finishing touch to extract the essence wasn't there but replaced with a bed of micro greens. A little less flavor than expected but delicious nonetheless. Dessert was decadent with the dark chocolate notes mingling well with the fresh berries and ice cream. What stood out even more was the PROFESSIONAL staff. Hands down they were some of the best I've ever encountered in any restaurant experience. They were so attentive to all of us, got all of our orders down without any hiccups, and expertly maneuvered in and out during the company presentation which is definitely a challenge no doubt!
