I went to the boot barn looking for a pair of steel toe work/hiking boots and ended up buying a pair of the first cowboy boots I have owned in 30 years. The gentleman by the name of Andrew was a great help and very knowledgeable about the products in the store. I even broke down and bought a Stetson hat, which I have not owned for over 30 years as well. He was kind enough to shape it the way I used to wear them. Boot barn Mesa riverview used to be sheplers like 3 or 4 years ago I write this to say what a great place it was... I went for questions but felt so comfortable with the help and how approachable the employee were .. I ended up getting some work done on two hats and it was free..and Shane was very knowledgeable and nice... I wrote the hat company Resistol many time in three months about some concerns and they never even replied... I sent Stetson some questions and all I got was a "we reviewed your question and sent a ticket to the proper Dept."....but it was answers quick for the Stetson but the restistol issue was up in the air till I went to boot barn in Mesa on Dobson But the boot barn with kaitlyn Jose and Shane... they did for me in about 20 minutes what the actually hat company could not.they have earned great props The store is huge and not a confusing clutter. Went into this store multiple times and Diana working there had such a terrible attitude she wasn't friendly and acted like we were a nuisance to her . Would recommend not using her at checkout . She said she had paperwork to do . That's not great customer service at all . read more

Just drove here from central Phoenix to make it before it closed at 5:30 which is what it says on their yelp closing time. Made it to the store at 5:15 and they wouldn't let me in because they say they close at five and they haven't updated their website. They had the nerve to not even let me try on a shoe size so I could buy it online. Will not be going back to the store again. Horrible customer service if you ask me. read more

I come here a few times a year. They have a great selection of cowboy boots and wrangler cowboy cut jeans. They also have some great shirts and wallets and belts. The employees are pretty friendly as well. I enjoy buying clothes here. The prices are reasonable too. read more

On Sunday, I returned to the Boot Barn to confront the manager, Tracy, who was very rude and accusatory to me the day before when I told her that all of my items were not in the bag when I returned home. Thankfully she wasn't there and a different manager, Christina, was working. After explaining the situation and going over every step with her and the cashier that checked me out, I was allowed to grab the two items that I was missing. To me it wasn't about the money, it was about the attitude of the manager, when I told her the situation and the principal of it. I very much appreciate Christina who was very attentive and gave me the things that I was missing. Went in to search for boots (my BF was looking to buy, I was looking to provide input on his but just shop/consider options for me). Chris in the boot warehouse was exceptionally helpful, providing input on style, fit, & quality while not overwhelming us with unsolicited advice. He also understood & respected both our intended purpose & budget. The store was clean and well-lit. My husband and I frequent this location. While we were preparing for our wedding we made several trips trying to decide on the perfect boot and hats for our bridal party. On one of our many visits, we were assisted by a gentleman named Chris. Chris was super knowledgeable, helpful and provided amazing customer service. Another time that we went in we brought our for small ringbearers and flower girl and Chris was amazing and assisting us to find boots and hats that fit just right for these 4 little ones. Chris set us up with the wedding registry that allowed all of our groomsmen to know exactly what they needed to get which was amazingly helpful. My husband was able to take in a hat that we had previously purchased from boot barn and Chris was able to shape it exactly how he wanted and it worked out perfectly for rehearsal. Chris also assisted him in picking out the perfect hat for our wedding and formed that one perfectly as well! We are so thankful that we found Chris at this boot barn location and he is now our boots and hat guy whenever we go in there. Thanks to Chris for providing amazing customer service! Came here looking for a certain boot for my first pair & was assisted by TY. Initially I was a little discouraged because the boots I came in for didn't look like I expected to & I was planning on leaving but TY was very attentive to my concerns about the boots & found me a way better pair that I liked. My entire visit was about an hour long & I really admire that TY helped me the whole way. I will definitely be back to this location even though I live in Queen Creek! read more

Worst boot barn I have stepped foot in. It is my third and FINAL time stepping foot in this store. Searched around for 30 minutes and kept looking for employees and not a single person attempted to assist me. Been looking for FR clothing and they once again have such a small amount that neither myself nor anyone on my crew can find sizes that fit. Had about 5 racks of sweat shirts...not very useful in the heat or arizona. Was going to look for work boots and spoke with 3 other customers that were ALSO having issues. Even heard one elderly man complain to an employee that he will be calling corporate. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE store. take the time and drive further to another establishment. read more

I live closer to the Scottsdale location but I drive to the Mesa location because the staff and boot choices and the Best at that location. I only shop Boot Barn a couple times a year, but, will ALWAYS continue to go back. I am impressed with the staff, the clothes and I always walk out having purchased something. The only place in town I can find jeans my husband loves.... And I always can find a top of two for me. Best place to find christmas and birthday gifts for the man in my life. read more

First off, I was very pleased that they were open until 8 PM, other western wear stores in the valley close at 6PM, but this location was open later. I went to buy a pair of boots. I had no idea what I was doing or what to look for or what questions to ask. The employee Ty was just great! Explained everything to me, took his time and was patient. In the middle another associate came over to give support and guidance as well. He helped guide me to choices within my price range, yet was professional and courteous through the entire process. This was the best shopping experience I have had in a long time! The pricing was within competition and the specials running made it even better! read more

My husband was looking for a pair of boots because he needs the support and lift he gets from boots. He also needs boots with a side zipper for easier on and off. The salesman, Mark, showed him a number of different boots, and we did find a pair with a side zipper. Perfect! Appreciate the time Mark spent with us. Also, the cashier, Paul, was very friendly, and helped us with the purchase as we were using partial payment on a gift card, and the remainder on our credit card. I really love Boot Barn. I've been a Boot Barn customer for about 3 years however, today is the last day I will consider shopping at a Boot Barn. I was excited to visit their new location in the Mesa Riverview location. I went in today with my boyfriend to shop for boots for him. We were looking around for a few minutes and we were waiting on an associate named Abigail (Abby) as she was helping another customer. Another associate saw us waiting and asked is she could help us. We asked her what we were looking for and she explained that since it was her third day she'd look for a boot person to assist us. Of course, that boot person was Abby. Our associate, Nikola, asked Abby for help. The tone and attitude Abby had while answering her co-worker's question was awful enough for me to wish they didn't have what we were looking for so we could walk away and not give Boot Barn our money. Abby never once asked us what we were looking for or said, "be right with you." Her customer service was terrible but what even worse was the way in which she "helped" her co-worker. No thank you, Boot Barn, you can keep your awful customer service and I will be sure to tell everyone how "helpful" Abby was to your customers and your staff. As someone who trains other departments in my office on customer service, I will be sure to use the behavior I saw today at Boot Barn as a "don't" in my trainings. As someone who supervises staff on teamwork, among other things, I will also be sure to use this example of terrible teamwork among staff at Boot Barn. I felt really bad for Nikola after she got such an awful answer from Abby. I hope she moves on to experience a better work environment. Luckily, they did not have the boot we were looking for and we were able to walk out without spending a dime at Boot Barn. This experience made me angry and feel terrible for the associate that tried to help because of the way she was talked down to in front of customers. Not okay. I hope Boot Barn would focus a little more on the importance of good customer service with their employees. read more
