I've been wanting to try Bosscat for a while. My friend made a reservation and we got promptly seated. We sat outside under large heaters which was nice. I will note the music was loud and made hearing conversation a bit difficult. This is a fun lively spot. Kudos to Bosscat for having pictures of the food and drinks on their website. To drink I ordered the Wouldn't You which is a vodka based cucumber drink. This was so delicious and light. Sometimes cucumber can taste artificial in cocktails, but this was so fresh. I'd highly recommend this drink. To eat I ordered the shaved pork sandwich. This was different than how I anticipated it looking. The burger for an American style restaurant is slightly on the smaller side. The pork was okay it did lack some flavor. However, the potato wedges were amazing. read more

Came here on a Sunday evening about 8 PM for a date. Our waitress was really sweet and informative of the menu. She gave some great recommendations on what to eat and drink. It was late so I just ordered the mushroom fries and poblano soup. Both are very good. I definitely recommend to try both. The aesthetics were sultry and romantic with the lighting. We held our company holiday party here (private events) and we had a stellar time! We did a full venue buyout and it worked perfectly with enough indoor and outdoor space for our 100 employees. The staff was absolutely exceptional. They consistently checked in to see if I needed anything or how they could be of help. The food was delicious. The ambiance was perfect. The event planner, Casey, was easy to work with and answered all my questions. I would love to host another event here and I highly recommend them! Came here for a quick lunch with a longtime friend and we wanted to find a place where it's convenient located between Fullerton and Huntington Beach. This site is really close to urthe café and parking is not that bad when you find street parking and public parking lots I was able to find a spot near a block away. What I like about this place is the decor and the open floorplan space where you can eat outdoors. the room is spacious and the breeze around the corner makes the place very comfortable to eat outdoors. Bosscat has such a chill vibe and I always enjoy my experience here. It's located in Downtown Orange so you have to find street parking. You can never go wrong when going to Bosscat. It does tend to get busy so I highly suggest to get there early or make a reservation, especially if you are going with a group of friends/coworkers. The restaurant is located in the old Rod's Liquor in Old Towne Orange. Their menu is Southern inspired and they specialize in whiskey. They even have a room you can reserve that is quite posh. Perfect for all the IG people who like to take pics. I always try to visit during happy hour which is from 3pm-6pm. They have some appetizers, food, drinks, and beers at a great price. I tend to order the short rib grilled cheese because it is so filling and I pair it with the Bosscat fries. I can order a million orders of those fries because they are that good. They are definitely a must try. If you do not eat meat, they have lots of other entrees that are great, too. The salads and sandwiches are really good. They are pet friendly so you can also bring your food babies and enjoy some great food with great company out in the patio. Definitely a great place to hang out in the summer. read more

I didn't know this location existed. I think it replaced the Filling Station (sad to see it closed). This one is a much bigger location than the Irvine one that I frequented (the office complex one). Really nice decor and great service. Hands down the BEST HAPPY HOUR deal for the quality of food. We've tried this restaurant multiple times, however, the food remains the same. We ordered the shaved pork chop sandwich and the pork was incredibly dry. Unfortunately, I couldn't finish it, so I asked for a different plate. I ordered the chicken sausage pasta and it was very salty. I didn't finish it. The drinks are amazing, which is what keeps us coming up. I would recommend having dinner elsewhere and drinks here. Located in Old Town Orange, we've passed this place countless times and always wanted to check it out. They were one of the participating restaurants in the OC Dine Out Day, donating 20% of sales to the LA Regional Food Bank so we decided to finally check it out. The atmosphere is fantastic, with TVs over the bar, and they promptly switched the channel to the local hockey game as requested. The history of the building is super interesting--it was once a liquor store for 70 years and OC's first gas station. They've kept many original fixtures to showcase its unique past. We arrived just 10 minutes before the end of Happy Hour and tried the Left Hand nitro stout on draft, a short rib grilled cheese, and a butter burger. The first two were excellent and would definitely order again, but the burger was a bit underwhelming. For entrees, we went with the butcher pork chop and shrimp and grits. Both were flavorful and filling, so much so that we ended up taking most of it home. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and gave great recommendations, though as the restaurant got busier, it was harder to get her attention. The meal was on the pricier side, even with the Happy Hour specials, but overall, it was worth it. If you're a whiskey fan or looking for a unique dining experience, this place is definitely worth trying. Glad we finally stopped by! read more

Unfortunately we had a pretty bad experience here. My boyfriend ordered the sweet and spicy shrimp and I ordered the kale goddess salad with chicken. His shrimp was breaded but it was soggy and the breading came off the shrimp. My salad was terrible. Kale is really bitter and kind of dry already so without a proper dressing it just tasted like dry kale. It's a little confusing that the add ons were roasted pepper, corn, and black beans and the dressing was balsamic with Parmesan. It was lacking in corn, peppers, black beans and hardly had any dressing or Parmesan. For being around $22, I just expected it to taste like they put effort into making it. On top of this, our server disappeared most of the time (he was nice when he was present) but we waited almost an hour and a half for our food which was simply a salad, a bad salad at that, and soggy shrimp. Pretty bummed at how expensive it was and how poor quality the food and service was. There's a lot of good eateries in this area and this one is not great. Every food & drink was AMAZING! We didn't make reservations for an early meal (4:30pm) on a Saturday but if you want indoor table then make a reservation. Covered front patio was pleasant with fans on. Ordered 2 mixed drinks that were taking quite a while, the manager came over acknowledged the wait & comp'd them for us.
