First off, I love the location of Bottled Blonde! Old Town Scottsdale makes it very easy to bar hop to multiple bars in a night which was very convenient! My friend and I ordered an Apple Crisp shooter, which I thought was too strong for my liking. Also for a shooter size, I thought the price was a bit much. [[HIGHLIGHT]]However, I loved the vibe inside Bottled Blonde! It was full of energy and great music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We came on a Saturday night!

22% gratuity added to all orders???

Was here both last Sunday and this past Saturday. Not by choice. It's just where my friends want to go. We migrated here after some drinks in downtown Phoenix last Sunday. And came this past Saturday after HH at STK and Drunk Munk. Not sure why my friends like this place. I personally do not like this place. I don't care for the club scene anymore and prefer cocktail bars more. What we really weren't happy about was the fact that they automatically charge 22% gratuity on all orders. That's ridiculous!! I have never seen any other bar do this but will have to start checking from now on. Oh there's also a venue fee too... Idk if my friends ever noticed this before but I will definitely be informing them all about this before they suggest coming back here again.

A venue fee and a $7.27 service charge when no one was in the venue. The bartender was great but what a rip from the actual restaurant taking advantage of people. If you go to this place beware of what you are getting charged for!

Fun for what it is ... a college bar. Music is great and bartenders provide great eye candy due to their revealing uniforms. Lots of security around, which I've found at almost all of the bars in this area.

Love this place! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was pretty slow on a Saturday night, but the live DJ kept the energy up![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]He was playing a lot of Mac Miller remixes which I loved.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The bartenders make a great dirty martini and [[HIGHLIGHT]]there's heaters in the bar area to keep you warm since it's an indoor/outdoor bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Super fun!

    Capri Sunday's

So when I came inside, the guy at the door snatch my I.D outta my hand. He gave me the energy that he doesn't like people of color. So I ended up ordering a little Cocktail " Capri Sunday that was cost 17 bucks and when I checked out it was 27 bucks. The manger said its because of the holiday it's a up charge. Umm I'm okay with a up-charge but a 7 dollar up charge. First off when we sat down that should had been address before taking our order. Yeah the music is cool, the server was okay but the racism. Nah I won't be back. People are so quick to judge .

Crowd on the new rooftop bar area. Enjoy the open night sky.

The hostess was very friendly and led us back to the community table near the bar. Our server/bartender was busy at the bar and taking orders. No smile, a no- nonsense personality which is fine, just not friendly at all. My husband and friend decided to do beer flights. They enjoyed except for one of the beers they said had no flavor. I opted for a Tito's dirty martini which is my favorite drink. They enjoyed the beer flights but unfortunately when my martini was delivered, I swore the glass hadn't been properly washed as it had a sweet, coffee taste. I let our server know and she immediately took it and said she would make another which was great. I did see her grab a new glass. Unfortunately the new martini tasted exactly the same. Almost like a terrible espresso martini with olive juice. It was not drinkable. Either she didn't know how to make a dirty martini or the olive juice or vermouth went bad. I couldn't stomach the drink and felt nauseous so left it. We ordered a Chef's Board. Cheese selections, plus pepperoni, salami, prosciutto, mixed nuts & fruits, olives and fig jam. They missed the nuts, fruit and olives. The meat and cheese were good but it was a basic board. We should have ordered the pizza instead as everyone around us had a pizza and it smelled delicious. Our first visit was not the best experience, however, we may give it another try and check out the pizza instead.

While it's not in the heart of Old Town, it's within walking distance. We stopped by on a Thursday around 9:30 p.m. While we were on foot, I noticed that they have a parking lot. Ambiance (4/5): Relatively small for a brewery, but your typical chill, brewery vibes. They have some seats at the bar, some high tops, and a small patio. We sat out on the patio since the weather was nice. The seats out there are a bit uncomfortable, but we couldn't pass up on patio weather. They have free water in the corner which is always a plus so you don't have to wait in line. Service (5/5): The bartender working was super nice. It's always appreciated when servers go above and beyond in providing a great experience. He was friendly, efficient, and attentive. I couldn't have asked for more in my service experience at Goldwater. He exceeded my expectations. Food (N/A): I already ate previously so no food for me. There was a Mexican food truck in the parking lot. Drinks (4/5): I love trying local brews. At breweries, I typically get a flight so I can try out a variety of beers. This time though, I went with a pint. I couldn't say no to the Sour Rangers. I grew up watching the Power Rangers, so that was all the motivation I needed. An added bonus was that this beer is a sour. Not something you have every day, nor a style of beer that you come across very often. So I had to take advantage of the opportunity. And it was a good one. Goldwater is my type of place. I'd definitely return the next time I'm in the area!

The staff were very friendly and explained they had to open the wine bottle and make the first pour which was fine with me. We look forward to coming back in the near future.

You walk in and it really does feel like a lively bier garten. There's many sections, and most of it outdoors. The colors, furnishings, patio games, TVs, music, etc make it feel like a place you could relax for hours Their menu boasts an impressive 28 beers on tap (including imports). They also have a large variety of appetizers and other tasty dishes meals. These dishes are made from scratch and much of the cuisine is European inspired. You'll find a variety of brats, burgers, salads, etc. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and hit the spot. We could have easily have spent many more hours there but there was more of Scottsdale to see Some tips: We went in the spring and it was absolutely gorgeous outside. It's now summer hours and it looks like they're adjusting their schedule accordingly. They are closed Mondays and Tuesdays. The rest of the days they're open 12-9pm (they open an hour earlier Saturday and Sunday, and they close an hour early on Sunday) Our server was incredible gracious, attentive, and professional. She gave us recommendations for the area and also food/drink to try You can make reservations, but we just did a walk-in. I think this more applies to larger groups as they're able to accommodate that. They also accommodate private parties (see their website) There appears to be a trivia night every Wednesday at 7pm. There's Girls Night Out Friday specials from 3pm-close. Join the Stein Club (rewards program). Ask your server how to join Explore Old Town Scottsdale either before or after. I am a HUGE fan on Brat Haus but this discrimination is unacceptable especially with heat as an excuse on a water cooled patio bc of my invisible disability. EDIT: I have changed my 1 star to a 4 star review as I genuinely appreciate the owner's fair explanation/ accountability and do not want to inhibit this genuinely awesome restaurant from succeeding. I love my dog and I want him safe as well... but yes, this experience was NOT ideal. There were many shaded, misted patio areas with wet floors spots as it was a watery event. He would have been comfortable and safe on the ground, not in lap, if seated appropriately. There was not a large crowd for this event and therefore a LOT of room to accommodate. That said, from prior visits, I recommend the beer "Fin du Monde"

For me, it was a big hike up to the north side- but totally worth the haul! I grew up in the Midwest, occasionally going to one or two German restaurant/ clubs, so this was not an unfamiliar atmosphere to me. It is definitely a "seasoned" vibe, having immediately taken over the space by a former western bar/beer hall that had been in existence for 50+ years. Their menu says "German and Hungarian" but all I read was German. They have a solid European beer selection, including taps and bottles and some cocktails with a German twist. The one that threw me for a loop (in the best way) was Kriek! So ofc I got a pint. We shared a (fairly large) pretzel to start, which comes with beer cheese. Tasty, but I was genuinely shocked there was no mustard. I ordered the jagerschnitzel (pork) and just overall the meal was as expected as if I was in the Midwest - amazing, delicious, insert chef's kiss. I wish I could have joined the clean plate club. The cucumber salad was flavorful and not too sour/pickley. My friend and I both noted how umami the savory sauce was- not too bacon, not too mushroom. The potatoes were not too salty or under-seasoned. Literally willing to drive up again if/when someone tells me to go. It wasn't horribly busy so it didn't take forever to order and get everything we needed. Our server was super nice and patient. She even gave a bar suggestion that ended up being a nice cherry for the top of the evening.

Honestly, I have no idea how it got those reviews. Maybe they're paid, I'm not sure, but based on my experience I would not go back. The biggest issue was the service. We arrived and were told to sit anywhere we wanted. After sitting down, we waited about 20 minutes and no one ever came to our table. No greeting, no water, nothing. Eventually I had to walk up to the bar and ask what the procedure was. Do we order at the bar? Do you have table service? No one could give a clear answer. They just kept saying, "If you want, you can order here." That's not the point. If I sit down at a restaurant, I expect someone to come to the table and explain how things work or take our order. If the system is that you order at the bar, just say that clearly so people know what to do. The drinks were also very mediocre. Nothing special at all. Honestly, they tasted like something you could throw together at home with soda, alcohol, and ice. The surprising part is that the food was actually phenomenal. The kitchen clearly knows what it's doing. The dishes were delicious and probably the best part of the entire experience. But great food alone isn't enough to make me return somewhere with poor service and forgettable drinks. My recommendation is don't waste your time on a Sunday brunch. There are plenty of other brunch spots with good food and good service.
