Boulevard is my go to shop for all full services. I brought in my s2000 to get a differential and transmission fluid swap. In and out in under an hour. Fahad the owner is very personable and pleasant to work with. He is trustsorthy and not a typical mechanic who tries to upsell you on all services. He recommends the maintenance intervals and continually goes above and beyond to ensure the customer is happy with the work. There is a waiting room with AC and also provides coffee and water. I even saw a vending machine as well. They carry a full stock of motul fluids which is top of the line. Gill & James were the two mechanics on site who were rocking the house! This business had a waiting line of people before the 9 am... A small wait for the customer maybe.... But the consensus was that these guys are 100% legit. They were all returning customers! If i could i would give it 0 stars! Got my car an oil change with them. Couple days later i come to realize that they didn't tighten the oil drain plug properly which caused leaking and my car to overheat. When i took it back they fixed the problem, so i decided to get an oil change, and this time they didn't tighten the oil filter properly which also caused the car to overheat because it was low on oil. I took it back and dealt with the manager, FAHAD, who claimed that the problem was the filter itself (which was a lie), because once i insisted that it was just loose, it solved the problem. FAHAD was VERY rude and unprofessional, even though it was his staff's fault for not paying attention to their work. Do not give them your business! They are rude and don't do a good job! read more

The man said I needed to bring it in for them to look as it might be rusted...I know it's not rusted...so I asked if he could just quote me for it...he didn't even ask me what type of car price range..........how can you even say how much if you have no idea what type of car or age of the car....too bad I live around the corner and am looking for a good mechanic nearby to work on several cars. read more

Today is the 3rd time I've come here. I went to check why my engine light came on and it was the catalytic converter and he referred me to another mechanic. I thought was worth mentioning. I got an oil change, they changed my transmission oil and new filter. They are honest & friendly mechanics. Super pleased with my experience. I went midday so it wasn't too busy. It was in and out within 30 minutes. Price was as quoted. He did not try to convince me my air filter was dirty either. My wife has been taking our vehicles to Boulevard Auto for years. But after today, we will find another oil change business. Why - I know longer have faith in their business practices. Over the weekend, I noticed what appeared to be an out-of-place access panel that is dropped down when oil is changed in our 2010 Prius. I took the car to Boulevard and Fahad (the manager) said that it couldn't have been their fault as the car wouldn't have been able to clear their driveway where oil is changed the way the panel was situated. He said maybe we backed over something, and then the panel was installed improperly installed since our last oil change. As improbable as this sounded, I confirmed with my wife this did not happen. This oil access panel was improperly flipped forward and attached with 1 clip, instead of backwards and held with 3 clips. I told Fahad that we never had any work done on this car since our last oil change, but he was insistent that it wasn't their fault. I continued to persist, and they finally put the car on their lift, and one of their mechanics put the panel in the proper location and installed the missing clip to hold the panel up. I can only think they installed the panel in the wrong location for expediency during the last oil change - but who knows why they did this. I asked the mechanic if the panel had been installed improperly. He said yes it was. After receiving the keys to my car, I told Fahad what the mechanic told me. Fahad said he just talked to the mechanic, and he told me he didn't say it was improperly installed. I just left after that completely frustrated. I can't trust a business that won't accept the facts, and take responsibility for their actions, but instead blames the customer. read more

Update: 06/12/18 - In response to owners comment. BAR case closed because Boulevard Auto refused to admit at fault and I was advised by investigator to proceed to settle in court. See you in court and the judge will decide. Update: 05/19/18 This post is in respond to Fahad's comments. First of all please do not twist the facts and fabricate the incident to make yourself the victim. When I first walked in to the shop calmly you were the first person I talked to. No other employees were around, so you did not help diffuse any situation. I calmly explained to you what had happen. Yes, I did took it to another shop for a service but only to find out that the previous mechanic had stripped the oil pan causing the oil leak. You guys were the last to perform the oil change prior to the leak. So, please tell me how can the mechanic had caused the leak when there was already a leak to begin with. I showed you the bolt with the stripped metal pieces still on it, yet you can still pushed the blame on someone else. You wanted to charge me more money to diagnose an issue to confirm if you caused the issue. It doesn't make any sense. Yes, I was upset but only when you gave me the run around saying that you will look at it then refused to when I came back to drop off the car. At this point, I realized that you have no intentions to correct the issue. Interestingly enough, I like to know what verbal threats I made, Fahad. I have no recollection, please share. To readers: I already expected a response like this from Fahad. This is how he response to all his customers that wrote a negative review. I can't speak for others, but he just confirmed that he will fabricate/ twist the facts just to cover their mistakes. Please read the negative reviews and not just all the good ones and decipher for yourself. I personally experienced it and do not wish anyone to go through the same aggravation and grief that I did with this business. I personally do not recommend this business to anyone and had share my experiences. So go at your own risk. ------------------- Worst expericence! Minus stars if possible. Brought my car here for oil changes at least for the past 3 times. They do not have the best prices but was in a convenient location. The last time I brought it in for an oil change, took the car home and notice drips of oil dripped on my driveway. It was very minor, a couple drips overnight or sometimes none. The car was due for another service today so I took it to another shop out of convenience because I was in the area. I mentioned the problem to the mechanic to see if he can find the issue. The mechanic found that the threading on the oil pan was stripped. He even showed me the bolt with the stripped metal on the thread. I took my car back to Boulevard Auto after requesting them to fix the issue. Fahad completely flat out denied all of the wrong doing or mistakes and put the blame on the last mechanic that worked on the car. First of all the problem existed prior of me taking the car in, and Boulevard Auto was the last ones that perform the oil change. It was pretty obvious who was at fault. It was very unprofessional of him push the fault on someone else rather than trying to resolve the issue. So, in order for them to look at the car to see if they were at fault I will need to sign a document saying something like this along the line " if diagnostic shows that cause of oil leak is not due to the oil pan stripped I will have to pay $110.00 and whatever it cost repair." This is ridiculous almost laughable. It was extortion. It was evident that the threads was stripped on the oil pan from the bolt. If I was to sign that document, I would be under his mercy to tell me regardless of what they tell me I will have to pay more money. I've lost complete trust on them working on the car again so there was no way I will be signing anything. This will not be the last of it. Also, the funny thing was Fahad's father happened to be around and jumped into the conversation and when things got turned around, he stepped in front of me and scolded " We refused your service!" " Get out." This was very unprofessional and borderline harassment. This is professional establishment, don't make it a family affair. After all I was only coming back to resolve this bad service you provided. After this incident, I ended reading all the bad reviews left here. I noticed all response from Fahad wrote was either pushing the blame back to the customer or denies any fault. No ownership or liability on any of their wrong doing. I do not recommend this shop to anyone. Come at your own risk. read more

I went in for an oil change today. Fahad was really nice and very polite. It's a small place, but they are quick. Only took half an hour and they use good oil. Will be coming here again :) Waiting area is also nice as they have comfortable couches and a Keurig so their guests can have coffee while they wait. read more

Took my car with a few different issues, wasn't expecting but was quoted $3200. Was shocked but believed what they said and committed to the work. Took 3 weeks to get my car back and the bill jumped from $3200 to $3800. They said that's what they quoted in the first place.....lies!! Ok, what can you do, we paid. Brought our car back with a can of soda busted and splattered on the back seat, no mention of anything. Ok, we are patient people ...whatever. Noticed 3 of the 5 things still have not been fixed. What they fixed was a blown fuse and a motor mount. Took the car back, third day they call me and say we never fixed one of the things because you never mentioned it. I ask, "so that would be more"? They are like "Yes". Now I am pissed. They call back later and tell us they didn't find any issues. I know there still are unresolved issues. We now have the car back. Don't know what to do. Just feel cheated!! Never again will we ever go to these crooks. Shame on you "Boulevard Auto" (on Castro Valley Boulevard and Marshall St. by Rite Aid). I came here to get my 2007 Toyota Prius' headlight bulb replaced. It had been on the fritz on and off for a while to the point I couldn't trust it enough to drive at night. I had previously taken it to a Toyota service site to address this problem and after holding my car for almost the entire day, the Toyota team couldn't find anything wrong with it and could only suggest cleaning inside of my headlight. When I took my car to Boulevard Auto and explained the situation, Fahad and his team checked my headlights and told me it was likely the headlight itself that was the problem and not the bulb itself. I don't really understand car stuff so they really took the time to go over what was going on with my headlight, multiple times (thanks guys). When the part had been ordered I brought my car in and it was fixed up in 1-2 hours. Fahad and his team are very nice, very patient, and very knowledgeable about what they do. They're really clean now and friendlier than the previous owners. If you're bored while you wait, just sit in their comfortable couch and connect to their free wifi or watch TV. In Dec 2015 I had my brakes replaced on my Toyota Camry. Less than 700 miles later my wife heard a disturbing noise on the passenger side front wheel. After I looked at the car I took off the hub cab and 2 lug nuts fell off and the other 3 were loose on that wheel. Took the car back to Boulevard Auto and every lug nut was loose. All 20 lug nuts had to be tightened. I will never come back here. read more
