I remember coming here once a long time ago, sophomore year of high school (2007). It was after a long Saturday morning of swim practice, and my whole swim team decided to drop by for breakfast. I remember ordering a croissant sandwich with ham and cheese, but don't remember what it was that made it taste sooo good. Maybe I was extremely hungry after our rigorous practice, or maybe I loved croissants. Might've been the good time that I was having with the whole team. Whatever it was, it left quite an impression on me. It's a relatively small breakfast joint, located in a secluded corner of the plaza, so it's not that well known. I completely forgot about Boulevard Bagel until a while ago, when I drove pass and the sight of this place triggered my taste buds into remembering that amazing croissant sandwich I had many years ago. I stopped in to grab some breakfast, only to see that the place has changed a bit. No more croissants on the menu, and the entire place was operated by a single old lady that moved pretty slow. But as slow as she was, I liked the fact that the sausage patty and egg (cracked fresh from its shell) for my everything bagel sandwich was cooked fresh right in front of you. And I was also delighted at the fact that the seasoning for the everything bagel was on BOTH sides of the bagel. read more

Hungry before a long road trip, I stopped by Boulevard Bagel beforehand and picked up a cinnamon raisin with cream cheese, as well as their breakfast special (#1). The bagels were nice and toasted, a bit crunchy, just the right amount of chewy, and not too thick or doughy. Needless to say, it was exactly what I was looking for! I got the breakfast bagel with the garlic bagel, which was delicious and went well with the sausage, cheese, and egg. Cousins of the donut, makes you wonder which came first? Have to admit, I dont understand the whole bagel fascination, or even the purpose of the hole in the middle. I mean it's basically bread right? Food: Wheat bagels- tasted like bread. Onion Bagels- Tasted like bread with onions. Jalapeno spicy bagels- Tasted like jalapeno bread. But when you put the Texas heat spread on it. Man now these little "O"'s comes alive, and the gripiness of the external texture can be put to good use in squeezing and distribute the spread to all the right places. Cute little bagel shop that I have passed by on the way to the mall since I was younger. I went in this morning and ordered a Lox bagel on a jalapeño bagel, steak and egg on an everything bagel, and a breakfast burrito with bacon. For the amount of food, it was pretty pricey, and the bill ran me $30 for three items. It took about 30 minutes from order to receiving the food, which took a little longer than I would have expected. So if you had an early morning meeting like me, you might want to call ahead to order first for pick up. My only complaint was the bagels for our bagel sandwiches were flipped (lox on everything and steak and egg on jalapeño), which after a decent wait, I was a little disappointed. I would still return and support this local mom and pop though! read more

Oh yes! when I first walked in the guy behind the county greeted me with a warm humble good morning, took my order which was the cranberry orange bagel toasted with cream cheese... all i can say is yummy to my tummy and maybe I should have gotten two of them instead of one order.. A drop in for bagels to go. So a few quick notes: 1. Go early b/c it seems that by 10:30 ish on a Sunday morning the bagels were about half gone. 2. Toast or not to toast - some discouragement from toasting as the bagels may get hard (but I like them toasted!) 3. Cream cheese - looks to be homemade! (and the honey walnut was quite good). Bottom line - bagels were pretty good (mm everything bagels). Service was average. You're not going to get the chipper warm fuzzies here - but you will get some bagels and cream cheese. read more

This place has been around since I was a kid, and after seeing how few choices are actually in the Sugar Land area for bagels I understand why. However, their fresh, quality bagels do help as well. I was in Jewish suburb of Chicago recently, and was exposed to Lox. I had a hankering for the insatiable flavor, and found that my local bagel shop had it in stock. I ran down, got a mish much/ everything bagel and loaded it down. They had literally just gotten my bagel fresh out of the oven or whatever it is that makes bagels in. It was light, fluffy, and full of flavor. The Lox was amazing, but I'll be honest didn't have quite as much smoked salmon as the place in Chicago. It was wonderful none the less. They did have some short coming when it came to the coffee. It was a bit rough. Also, I wouldn't recommend the kolaches. They seemed a bit old, and the "cheese kolache" was an American single melted on top of the kolache roll... read more

First of all, I do have to say the bagels are (as far as I am aware) freshly baked every day. They are light and fluffy. The bagels are great. I drop in from time to time when I can't figure out what to do for breakfast. I haven't been in a while, and I noticed a ridiculous hike in prices! $16 for two breakfast sandwiches (sausage, egg, and cheese) and an orange juice! I have been coming to this bagel place since i was little when it was called Manhattan Bagel. They had the same owners for the longest time and the everything bagel was the best I have ever had. I just came back for the first time in a few months and it has completely changed. The decor is nice and the staff are great BUT they must have changed the recipe or something because the bagel (for the price) was kind of disappointing:( i loved the way they used to be made. i only gave 3 stars because of the taste. Everything else is great but I wish they could go back to the previous recipe. It has been a while since my family has been to Boulevard Bagel. We decided to give them another try this morning. When we showed up there was 2 in line front of us and 2 sitting I the lobby. Should have walked out after waiting 10 minutes to place an order. Kids wanted bagels so why not. I decided to set the stop watch on my phone to see just how long of wait we were in for. After 20 minutes I asked if our order would be ready soon. Was basically dismissed by the one person doing all the work. There was re but only one was actually doing anything to help get the customers food out. At 25 minutes I proceeded to inform the individual that needed to leave and need to get my food. Her answer was "I-know". I informed her that we would be needing this now to go. At 27 minutes first of the food came out to the table not ready to go. (a toasted bagel) then at 30 minutes the first breakfast sandwich. Mentioned another time that these now needed to be wrapped to go. At 33 minutes we had our 4 bagels. We left and the order was not correct. Not sure what was going on this morning but I can see that the service has not gotten better since the last time we came here. This is one of my favorite breakfast places in Sugar Land! I often stop by on my way to school or work and grab a bagel and coffee to go. The restaurant is family owned, and the service is fantastic - very fast and friendly. The ladies that work here are so sweet and helpful. Their bagels are always fresh - never too soft or too hard. Their cream cheese spreads are amazing and are made fresh in the restaurant. My personal favorite is the blueberry bagel with honey almond cream cheese, but I've truly enjoyed every bagel I've gotten from this place. Would highly recommend Boulevard Bagel! read more
