We each had a burger - mine was the special with Mac n Cheese, pepper jack cheese and bacon. Scott got the Bourbon Burger. Both were very good, flavorful and juicy. Although we ordered "some pink"/Med-rare, they weren't but we're still VERY good! I think I may try to sample every burger on the menu! #goals Great selection on Bourbon's, good selection of beers (craft and macro). Our appetizer - Dynamite Shrimp - was not as dynamite as I would have liked. A bit on the bland side. I'll definitely try a different app next time. For dessert we split a Belgium waffle with Salted Caramel ice cream and sauce. Very good. I'd love to see a brownie option and to put that cast iron skillet to use vs just a serving vessel. We had reservations for a large party for a friends birthday. They seated us right away as we came in (didn't have to wait for the entire party). They sat us around toward the back part of the building nice and quite for us all to talk. It took a little while for us to get food, but like I said we had a large party so no big deal there. The food was delish; the truffle burger was the best! That being said I didn't give it 5 stars because the weighted class to come back 4 or 5 times saying they were out of specific bourbons. I know it's hard to get them sometimes but when you are paying prime for a drink there could be a better way to track what you have on hand. With everyone doing digital menu's right now anyway maybe there can be a poor counter on the different bourbons. I definitely recommend and would 100% go back. read more

Stopped in for lunch. Fantastic! Went with the simple In and Out burger. Cooked just the way I like it. Not over done, but just crispy enough on the edges. Wife had the chicken lettuce wraps. Food was great. Service was great. read more

This place almost couldn't get any better. My wife and I were meeting another couple for dinner, they were running late so we started at the bar. She ordered a Bourbon Chardonnay, and I got the best Old Fashioned I ever had. After we got seated, we snagged a couple of appetizers. Chicken meatballs and Dynamite Shrimp were both delicious, hard to decide which one was better. For dinner I ordered the brisket tacos, and my wife got the burger special, which was the Johnny Appleseed Burger. We split both of our entrées, again everything was prepared very well, super flavorful and delicious. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly, the atmosphere was trendy and upscale. Went here last night with my hubby & bff for dinner. We arrived at 7 pm & were seated immediately. Our server took our drink order right away while we perused the menu. We were glad we arrived when we did because the restaurant was full by 7:30...pretty impressive for single digit weather on a weeknight! I ordered the Asian brisket tacos with a side of sweet potato fries. My friend ordered the waffle steak burger with a side of French onion soup and my hubby had the mac & cheese with brisket added. My Asian tacos were pretty average but the waffle fries were delicious. My complaint about the tacos was that they were served on wheat tortillas...I expected soft corn tortillas. I guess it's just a matter of preference. I tasted my hubby's mac & cheese and it was incredibly good. His only complaint was there wasn't enough of it. My friend's waffle burger was huge. I tasted her French onion soup which had mac & cheese in it...amazing. The menu is small but the food is good. I'd go here again and try a different menu item. read more

This little spot is so unique. At first look, it looks as if it's just a little mom and pop place just sitting in a plaza but once you enter it feels a lot more like formal dining. The food is absolutely incredible. I've never seen a menu with so many delicious and unique options. They have some interesting burger choices that I'd love to try such as the grippos burger! I tried the baja fish tacos, talk about flavor! They were better than any I've tried before. I also tried their chips and guac which were not the greatest so I would not recommend. The only reason I did not give this place 5 stars is because of the space. There is not very much seating and the seating does feel a little crammed. However, when I entered their bathrooms and saw that they had an actual changing table in the men's and women's I was definitely impressed! This place is still great! I love to see small locally owned places thriving despite Dewine and his draconian (dictatorial) mandates. Whether you are getting dine-in, carryout or doordash, the food is great and the service is still top shelf, just like their drinks list. I love it here and will keep coming back! They keep it up with the good food and friendly service. It's so refreshing to have a place like this in Middletown. Aside from my parents this is the only reason to come here. read more

Small dining space, kinda loud, but geez is the food good! It's in a strip mall, when you enter there's only about eight tables and a bar. The place is clean and you can tell it was recently renovated. It has an industrial vibe that works. The food is creative and tasty. read more

Marvelous. Everything from the sauces to the tenders to the fries were absolutely marvelous. Skip out on the Cole slaw though because I'm a picky baby. Dropped in for lunch at Bourbon Kitchen on recommendation of our mechanic while he inspected a truck. Unfortunately for us, no alcohol since we were driving back home. However, the food menu was varied; and the food was delicious. And Alexis, our server, was commendable ...very attentive, observant, friendly, and accurate. The chicken tenders might be the best I've had - and large, about as big as a small hotdog bun, served with fries, slaw and several dipping sauces. The chop salad was large, fresh, full of goodies and delicious. Glad we found this place! read more

Definitely glad we gave this place a try! We don't live near by but we were in the area for high school baseball and they were on OpenTable so I could make a reservation for our group of 9 (which ended up being 6) - but either way, really nice to be able to make a reservation! It's definitely a small place - but nice inside and will look and feel even nicer when they don't have to have all the plastic up between tables due to Covid. (I do appreciate that they are trying very hard to maintain a safe environment!) We actually were seated in a back room that seems to be connected to the Italian place next door - but honestly it was a nice table and we still could watch sports so it worked for us. The service was really good - friendly, welcoming, efficient with food and drinks. The food was also really good - we tried the queso poutine fries (better the more you ate as everything got a bit gooier!). The potstickers were a surprise and good also. Everyone got a burger - either the Grippos or the All American - huge, tasty and the fries were good too. Nice beer list. What can I say - it was a great spot and I would recommend to check it out. This place has been around for a while now and is wedged into fast food ally. While the prices don't reflect its neighbors you might be less disappointed in one of their drive thru's. The lettuce wraps had plenty of fresh lettuce but the filling couldn't make up its mind what cuisine it was after. It had marinara but wasn't Italian, corn and cilantro but wasn't Mexican. The poutine was similarly mashed with Bbq sauce queso and pico. The French onion soup had onion, missed the cheese, and I might go out on a limb and place the base from a can. The chicken tenders met expectations but my bar for that dish wins limbo competitions. There was an unidentified sauce that accompanied it that I can best place as a mix of mayo ketchup and perhaps mustard? It brought back memories of high culinary fashion from my child hood when I'd mix all the pump condiments at McDonald's. EDIT: we've discovered noodles in the bottom of the French onion soup...bourbon tango foxtrot for sure. read more

We love coming to Bourbon's Kitchen. Their food is amazing. A always get the Bernie Mac! Delicious! The angus burger is juice and tasty. Topped with their bbq sauce, pepper jack cheese (I sub a different cheese) and....Mac and cheese. Yum! If you like sweet potato fries I recommend adding them to your order. Waffled and delicious! The waitstaff is very knowledgeable and always pleasant and polite. Dirty martinis are perfect too! The only way they could be better is to add blue cheese stuffed olives! Food was delicious and there was an incredible selection of bourbon, if you're interested. Some craft beer on tap too. Everything was great until we were ready to leave and the server was all wrapped up in looking at pictures on a carry out customer's phone.
