I sent I a request for service on Sunday using their website. First thing Monday morning they called me to get me on their schedule for Tuesday afternoon. They texted me 30 minutes before The technician MELANIE was to arrive. She arrived and put down protective sheets on our floor and began work. She had her diagnosis done in 30 minutes replaced the display with a new one and confirmed it worked. She ask for my consent to purchase the new display which I happily agreed. Then put every back together and once again tested it to make sure it was factory satisfactory. I am very please that she worked alone, but safely. She locked out/tagged out the oven breaker prior to performing any work. As it should be safety is the number one priority! I am also very happy with the price. Replacing a wolf double oven would have been far more expensive the the parts and labor. Thank you Melanie and the entire Box Appliance team...job well done!!! read more

They are awesome, ethical, and professional! They were referred to me by the person who sold me my subzero fridge and wolf stove. I had them come and fix a warranty burner on my wolf stove and change the filter in my fridge. Recently, in a panic, I hired another company to come fix my custom door handle on my fridge. He installed in incorrectly, so I helped him reinstall it and then he tried to sell me on replacing the compressor. I didn't trust him based on the door handle, so just called Box today. My 2 year old sub Zero began leaking on the bottom of the refrigerator and over the freezer to the floor. Box couldn't come out for over a week so I did towel changes about 4 times a day.finslly Marvin arrived. On time. Unfazed by Lurch, my Halloween ghoul. After 12 years, 3 of our 4 Wolf/Sub-Zero appliances needed servicing. Marvin was knowledgeable and efficient. The refrigerator drainage was cleared in no time, light fixed and everything reassembled good (clean) as new. Replaced cooling fan motor on the drinks fridge. Got the warming drawer working again! Ryan - Marvin just came to our home to fix our WOLF coffee machine and he was great. This is no issue with Marvin! But he fixed the problem within 5 minutes - literally by just installing a new "grounds container" for this coffee machine. And the charge was $223 for labor. That is incredibly costly for a short and easy visit -- and is the cost of buying a nice new coffee machine. I highly recommend taking a closer look at your pricing for service like this as I will be looking elsewhere for my appliance support moving forward. Thank you for considering. read more

after posting a single star review I was contacted by Box who told me that they were having problems with other repair services using their name and that I probably had been scammed by a repair service that was not them. They had no record of the service call. Rather than withdraw my review I am leaving it up so others can beware of this issue. I gave 4 stars because of the responsiveness and desire box displayed in addressing my issues. I'm still out the cost of the service call but glad to know that box is still the reliable service I have known for over 30 years. read more

I have a vintage Sub Zero 532 from 1993 which needed service. Emmett from Box Appliances was awesome, making the diagnosis and figuring stuff out that two other "third party" companies couldn't. There really is a step up in knowledge and skill with Box Appliances as Sub Zero's preferred factory-authorized service. A few months later, I had a different new problem. I was figuring that there was an old part that would need to be replaced and had even asked the dispatcher to make sure that the part was available in case it needed to be swapped out. When Emmett came, he was able to troubleshoot and fix the problem without needing a new part, saving me money. I highly recommend Box Appliances for any service needed. My 18 year old Wolf stove igniters would not turn off and required a new igniter module. The technican had the required part and replaced it. Our Sub-Zero wine refrigerator was not working and had leaked refrigerant. It required a very expensive trip to the shop and a new compressor. We decided to add more freon and see how long it would last. You technician installed freon and installed a valve that allowed me to add the refrigerant myself in the future. Our technician was Walter. I rate him a 10 out of 10. He new exactly what to do worked well with me as your customer. Box has an outstanding employee here. read more

Box Appliance came out for a warranty service call for my 1 year old Sub-Zero refrigerator. I was really impressed by how well box communicated with me. They provided a 3 hour window and told us we were first. The day of the service they emailed and told me Rommel would be over in 30 minutes. Rommel also called letting me know he was on his way. 30 minutes later Rommel arrived. Turns out the my issue, buzzing when dispensing water, was normal. Rommel then proceeded to tell me all about the various features of the machine that I was unaware of. I was really impressed with his knowledge of my refrigerator. I've had a glitchy oven issue for years - the smaller oven on my 48" dual fuel range would turn on, but wouldn't heat above 200 °. It's been serviced before but kept failing. Box had fixed the issue previously, but it broke again. It's been such a headache. Today the technician figured it out and fixed with no additional cost to me! Granted I was still under warranty from the first repair, but I genuinely appreciate the care and effort to make it right. He said it was an issue he's only seen once before. Rommel from Box came out to investigate my subzero freezer. He was very knowledgeable and able to diagnose and assure us that nothing was wrong. He was patient and nice and helpful in answering other questions and even pointed out features that I was not using because I was unaware. I highly recommend him! Box is the only authorized repair shop for subzero in northern CA so it is often difficult to get appointments. It took over 2 weeks which I think is too long. Once scheduled, the communication is very good and efficient. Technician shows up on time. But they need to hire more people. read more
