The perfect service! It was fast, precise, communicative and ended well. I called Box Appliance to repair my Wolf Speed Oven. They scheduled a technician right away in the time of my preference. A few days later Walter, the technician, arrived right on time. To my surprise he brought with him the part he thought may be necessary based on my description when I placed the service call. He got to work and indeed replaced the part he anticipated to be the issue. When he left - the oven was working perfectly. Walter was very competent and meticulous and also left everything clean and orderly. It was a huge relief that he didn't come just for diagnosis (as techs often do) but brought the part with him so everything could be done in one session. Walter, the repair person, came to fix problems we had with our 7 year old large sub zero fridge freezer. It's needed service and filters changed. Some Diagnostic was required to look at the faults. He patiently went though the codes and found it faulted more than on time since September. it's needed a significant part, he had it on his truck. Sub zero has made the fault icons very confusing. Some come on when they need replacing, and some come on when they're working. We called them to come back because we thought the icon we were still seeing was an error icon. They made time in the a huddle to comeback to us only to tell us about the confusing design. They were responsive and Walter had great communication when my husband ran late for the appointment due to an accident on the freeway. Walter tried to move up another client. When no one would move, he waited. We are grateful and appreciative for the service. read more

Box Appliance is one of two companies in the bay area that specializes in COVE dishwasher repairs. I called in late January, which of course is a busy time right after the holiday season. I got an appointment in early February. Once I had the appointment, everything went smoothly. I received reminders of the approaching date of repair. On the day of the appointment I received ongoing texts throughout the repair day about the arrival time for my technician, Joey. Joey was able to diagnose the problem quickly. I sent I a request for service on Sunday using their website. First thing Monday morning they called me to get me on their schedule for Tuesday afternoon. They texted me 30 minutes before The technician MELANIE was to arrive. She arrived and put down protective sheets on our floor and began work. She had her diagnosis done in 30 minutes replaced the display with a new one and confirmed it worked. She ask for my consent to purchase the new display which I happily agreed. Then put every back together and once again tested it to make sure it was factory satisfactory. I am very please that she worked alone, but safely. She locked out/tagged out the oven breaker prior to performing any work. As it should be safety is the number one priority! I am also very happy with the price. The service man,Jesus, appeared to be the same as the first one, or just a resemble of the first one? Arrived in good time. Spent a little less than one hour on removing the older "compression long white thin line with a new one", for what appeared to me. He did rearrange the several food items on the shelves and cleaned the shelves. This was done in the refrigerator. The freezer didn't need any work. He did explain the total cost to me before he would start, It would be $691.21 I didn't ask him the breakdown, just figured that the replacemant of what it would be, "of a new usable generator"(my thinking). They are awesome, ethical, and professional! They were referred to me by the person who sold me my subzero fridge and wolf stove. I had them come and fix a warranty burner on my wolf stove and change the filter in my fridge. Recently, in a panic, I hired another company to come fix my custom door handle on my fridge. He installed in incorrectly, so I helped him reinstall it and then he tried to sell me on replacing the compressor. I didn't trust him based on the door handle, so just called Box today. My 2 year old sub Zero began leaking on the bottom of the refrigerator and over the freezer to the floor. Ryan - Marvin just came to our home to fix our WOLF coffee machine and he was great. This is no issue with Marvin! But he fixed the problem within 5 minutes - literally by just installing a new "grounds container" for this coffee machine. And the charge was $223 for labor. That is incredibly costly for a short and easy visit -- and is the cost of buying a nice new coffee machine.
