After my old local place became unreliable, I was on the hunt for a new one. I saw someone post on a foodie page about Bozzellis & thought I would check them out. I ordered delivery with door dash & it was sooo good. The pizza came in a very reasonable time and it was still warm- the best! I also got the fried ravioli to try and man, is it dangerous. I got the spicy feta pizza and it was amazing. I didn't realize it was going to be a personal pizza, but hey, portion control. The crust was perfect- fluffy and soft. The amount of toppings was generous. The price point was very reasonable. Needless to say, I may have found my new spot! I look forward to ordering from here again! read more

This pizza joint is a really solid staple for the price and if you live nearby. The Bozzelli's version of a supreme pizza is obviously a classic. They do not skimp on toppings which is a great thing. The Meaty Boys pizza is no joke. It really is completely filled with bacon, sausage, pepperoni's. There is no shortage of toppings on any of their pizzas which makes it great value for money. They've got some pretty unique boxes that can also double as a pizza bib if you're looking for a fun pizza eating activity too. :'D read more

Very overpriced for the quality and quantity of food. I ordered a 10" "fugetaboutit" ($16.99) for 2 people - it was 4 slices. I considered a 14" but that was $29.99, which I think is excessive. If you want to order a 14" fugetaboutit on Uber eats for delivery it's $38.99! I understand there are different pricing policies that dictate costs but the pizza definitely isn't worth $38.99 - or $16.99. It was fine but I would not order again. After a day of walking all over DC, we sure didn't feel up to walking any distance to go eat at 7pm. Fortunately, Bozzelli's was right across the street from the Hyatt Regency--their sign was even visible from our window. They have a great website that outlines the full menu; that, along with the pictures on Yelp, made it look like a good place to go. My husband returned saying the deli "had the nicest folks." He ordered a pesto chicken salad for me, and they grilled the chicken right then. Normally salad out of a plastic clam shell container isn't a grand thing, but wow, that was a good salad. Family owned quality! Staying close for a couple days and got pizza here twice! I got the spicy Hawaiian, small about 12 inch ($10). Amazing. I say this a lot about good pizza, but it's important; it's all starts with good dough. This pizza doesn't let you down. The crust taste like there is either sour dough starter or is just nicely aged; giving that nice tight pull, yeasty flavour. The sauce might be good quality canned or reasonably good store made. The cheese is nice low humidity, stringy cheese; could be more, but enough. The pineapple is canned, but good quality. The bacon/crisp ham adds the perfect crisp and salt. This little hole-in-the-wall Italian restaurant has AWESOME meatball sandwiches. It is not located in the "usual" Crystal City restaurant district. It is closer to the airport but is open fairly late. Pricing is good for the portion and quality. I wish I had visited more than once to try some other dishes but rest assured, those who like meatballs like I do will love their meatball sub. read more

I loved this deli! I'm from Texas and we don't really have delis. I miss them so much. So when I was in town for the marine corps marathon, I had I craving for pastrami Reuben. Well, the closest I could find was the pastrami & Swiss sandwich at Bozzelli's. It was super good. They toast the rye bread so you have that texture as you bite into the deliciousness that is pastrami. It's not fancy. It's just a pastrami sandwich but it was great! This place is very small. I counted 3-4 table tops plus a limited outdoor patio area. I noticed that they seem to do a fairly healthy to-go business, so if that's what you need, I wouldn't hesistate. Other than that, it's nothing too special. Good food, affordable prices, & affable folks running the kitchen & counter. I'd go back if I was in the area. read more

I purchased veggi pizza and Tiramisu. Tiramisu was premade and tasted good. We took pizza to home. The pizza had turned into stew by the time that we arrived home. The crust was all soaked in vegetable water and so unpleasant to even look at. Vegetables used for pizza topping should be slightly baked or stir fried to loose the water. Still, I gotta say it was REALLY good -- the generous toppings, the balance with soft and stretchy cheese, and the soft fresh crust were all amazing. Now, I understand why so many people gets pizza from Bozzelli's. The 14" pizza was large enough to feed my friend and me. There are two cons about this place though. 1) Pizzas are a bit pricey. $19 for 14" of Joe From Jersey pizza? That's more expensive than similar pizzas at other places. 2) Limited options of pizza. I wish there was a greater variety of pizzas, especially with vegetables. The pizza menu comprised mostly of meaty pizzas, and only one pizza (Joe From Jersey) had both meat and vegetables. As I walked into the deli I hear over the radio "Every Little Step I Take" by Bobby Brown. Hearing this instantly put me in a good mood and that is where my great experience at the deli took off. While my shipmates and I ordered the radio was playing all 80s music, so this could be enticing to various people that go to the deli. The deli is kind of small so eating inside could be hard but there's also a space available outside. Now on to my food. I ordered the pepperoni pizza, 11 inch, and it came larger than expected. When I took a bite into the pizza I was instantly amazed how good it was. I got a side of marinara sauce and the dipping began when it came to the crust. Bozzellis has very good quality food and reasonable prices for the area. My go to is their chicken Parmesan sub - it has pesto on it and is just *amazing.* The pizzas have a great crust and there are specials offered throughout the week. They also have sides, like pasta salad, and beer and other drinks. I'd recommend checking out this place for your pizza/sub needs! A side note word to the wise: check your order before you leave. We live upstairs and not infrequently have to go down stairs to get our orders corrected. read more

I was at our HQ for training last week, and decided to try this place across the street and wow, am I glad I did! It's a tiny place under apt/condo I think. They dont have much seating space, only 3 tables with 2 chairs each. During lunch time, there was not much space to stand! Best bet is to call ahead and pick up the food. I ordered a 10" pizza since they do not sell by the slice. It would feed about 2 people, for under $10. Granted, I only had 2 minute walk back to the building, but the cheese stayed stretchy like in the pizza franchise commercials until I devoured my second piece! I was drooling immediately after opening the box, so I took my pic after my second piece... Picture doesn't do justice! But it was one of the best pizzas I've had. I've been working in Crystal City for a while now and i'm so glad for this find. Its a small spot, very cozy, and gives off that hipster feel (they sell beer and wine too which is pretty cool) the staff are very friendly and ready to serve you as soon as you walk in. The pizza during lunch is a great deal. Got a personal sized pepperoni pizza for about $8. The flavor of the pizza is amazing. Very good ratio of toppings to sauce to crust. I used to work in Crystal City and this was my favorite spot to stop for lunch. The shop is quaint and small, but has tons of personalty. Every wall is covered in decor or stacks of merchandise. It is definitely busy on the eyes, but I think it adds to the overall feel of the place. There are just 2 or 3 small 2-top tables inside. Most folks just grab their lunch and head back to their offices for work. Recently they added a call in order ahead feature for those especially busy patrons -- just give them a call, place your order, and swing past in about 5-10 minutes. Your order will be piping hot and ready for pickup! I've done this on a couple of occasions and my order has always been correct. It's an authentic Italian grill that sells pizza, sandwiches, and desserts....and might I say that all three offerings are amazing. For lunch I usually get a hot sandwich (I recommend the chicken parm or meatball sub) and a side of seasoned fries! Be sure to ask for the seasoned fries vs the regular fries -- they add a bit of magic and old bay! This combo usually costs about $10 or $11 which is pretty normal for this area and definitely worth it. If you're more pressed for dollars, they offer daily specials for $6.50 or $7 -- these usually come with a sandwich and smaller order of fries. This definitely leaves you satisfied. There are a large number of drink options including premium sodas, beers, and wines. They offer delicious desserts like cookies, brownies, blondies, and cakes. Most times they have a new dessert that they offer as a free sample -- they value our feedback on these samples too! Definitely a great spot -- highly recommended! read more
