A good place to eat and drink a cold one. Food is really good, especially the chili/cheese/bacon burger. Interior of the place reminds me of simpler times. We've been here twice and both times were good. The most recent time, they were out of chili (it's really good chili) so I was disappointed and had to have a patty melt which was good, but not as good as my favorite burger. I hope they have everything next time we go there. read more

We visited on St Pats (by accident) and found a beautiful old style pub filled with holiday celebrating. We wanted pub food - preferably a good hamburger. The wait staff was a bit overwhelmed by the crowd. It took a long time to order and a long time to get our drinks. We had to ask for refills. The pretzel we ordered came out hot but a bit burned. Unfortunately it only beat our food by about 60 seconds. The burgers were very good and cooked to order. The restaurant smelled of smoke which was unfortunate as we are non-smokers. read more

I took my girlfriend last night for her birthday. We drove 30 min to get there. At around 8:28 we ordered two drinks and a minute later we asked to see menus; we were told that the kitchen was closing. Well it wasn't closed but they had cleaned everything and she was instructed not to take any orders. I asked what time the kitchen closed and she said nine. I showed her my phone and said that it was 8:30. She said don't ask her she just works there. Ultimately we had to leave our drinks full and hurry to find somewhere else to go for her birthday. But first after quite a bit of grumbling and questioning about the kitchen time in disbelief, she apologized and said that she asked the kitchen and they said two quick meals only. I mean like that. She was nice but the message she relayed from the kitchen was rude and insulting even after she tried very hard to make it not sound rude and disquise with politeness. Basically we were lucky to be allowed to have the honor of them cooking us a couple of meals because their not closed kitchen was closed and the master engineer had already cleaned and did not want to dirty anything. (Obviously because they wanted to leave early. It's called pre closing and it is only a "thing" that benefits lazy employees; not customers, owners, or managers.) Keep in mind that it is 8:30 pm. I'm not begging a business to serve me so I told them no we'd just go somewhere else. To make matters worse, they made me pay for the $20 drinks that we did not drink. We would never have ordered drinks if we knew they weren't serving food. They advertise late night food!!! If you would like to feel insulted, not apreciated and pay for stuff that you did not want, need, or use, go to this place. I paid her and left her a $3 tip for the still full drinks and we went across the block to the Mexican place where we were treated extremely well and enjoyed great food; however, it was bad enough of an experiance that it is hard to shake the way that we were treated even the next day. I mean there were people around us finishing their and another guy trying to order wings for him and his friends for the gama as we were leaving. It basically felt like a huge FU. read more

Bradley's recently opened on the Jackson square. It's a 21 and up restaurant and bar. The 1st thing you will notice is the decor. The inside of this place is phenomenal. Wood work everywhere with tiled ceilings and a throwback flare. It's all bar seating with no big tables. Our bartender was Shannon and she was very good. We ordered a Judge and a Philly. It was not an overly busy evening and Shannon took our order right away but it took a solid hour for our food to come out. It was our first time here and we really wanted to like it but we were on the verge of leaving before the food came out. Our server continued to check on us and apologize for the delay but an hour? Never heard from anyone in the kitchen or a manager and we were still charged full price for everything. When our food finally arrived it was very good. The Judge is a burger with pimento cheese and bacon and it was great. The Philly was a Philly, everywhere serves it but not many do it well and this one was done well. Probably the best Philly around. Overall this place would have got a lot higher score if the kitchen wasn't absolutely pathetic. If the wait time is that long a manager should come out to see you and probably discount something. The food was good enough that we will probably give them 1 more shot.
